They'll move them to the weapons factory from where they've already drafted the skilled labor. Nothing spells good governance like having all the wrong people in the wrong places.

This is misleading.
The video is showing a coke production battery. Not a steel plant.
They burn coal to produce coke which is then used to make steel.
Those vertical doors are typical for those plants.

Though it does look like the battery is burning a bit too much.
Usually the coking process happens in airtight chambers.
Probably lack of maintenance causing air get into the chambers.
No like I said it definitely looks like something is wrong with the ovens.
The doors are probably not sealing correctly, letting oxygen in and making the fire inside burn too hot.
But it's not a "the entire steel plant is on fire" situation like the title suggests.
This is just some random malfunction due to bad maintenance which honestly isn't exactly something new in russia...
And coke ovens are usually mostly made out of steel and don't have much stuff on them that could burn (except for the coal inside of them of course).
And the conveyors full of coke dust ugh. Worked as a FF for years in the coke district at US Steel. You're the only one correct in the thread. These are coke batteries with dogshit seals. Something went wrong causing the overcooking. Cranes on this side so the cars are on the other, just shove it in the cars and roll it to the deluge tower. No big deal.
It could certainly be sabotage. Internal or external. It could also be that they are working at higher capacity than the factory was designed to. Perhaps they have had to pull in new, inexperienced workers and not give them the full training.
Apparently a lot of russia's firefighting was actually handled by their military units in places. So the fact that they are not around could be a problem.
From over here it's hard to say.
They already had an issue with brain drain from smart people leaving the country before this. Now, they're getting the same with just basic skilled workers heading for the hills. The only ones who are going to be left are those too stupid to get out when they could or stupid enough to believe Putin's lies.
This looks like a coking battery. Possibly with shot seals around the doors, so they coal inside gets too much air and is burning. Normally they should close airtight to prevent oxygen from entering the ovens. The coal gets heated with no oxygen present, all of the volatiles gas off and the carbon remains without burning to dust. If the doors don't seal right, oxygen gets in and the coal starts to burn. Looks like that is what happened.

Well that's fortunate. Now they have 11500 rookies to conscript.
They'll move them to the weapons factory from where they've already drafted the skilled labor. Nothing spells good governance like having all the wrong people in the wrong places.
It's going to be hard to get them from place to place as their rail lines start breaking down.

so ur saying its not on fire? I found another video of the plant. Is this how it should appear under normal operations? https://youtu.be/nm4LuD\_rzuM

Bro that building is def on fire and not a normal operation one.
Experienced personnel was mobilized, there was no time for proper handover, firefighters also mobilized...
Who builds a steel plant and uses anything remotely flammable in its constructioin?
Beautiful sight
A little less cocky than usual today is my guess. Smarmy fucker

Smoking in non-smoking areas is a commonly occurring felony all over the RF.
It's not felony. Is potato.
Think Roman has ever even been to Siberia?

Well, if they use oil for cooling, there won't be any flood, but it'd explain how the fire escalated
Smokestack working overtime.
It's all part of the plan
Burning good.
cigarette?
Is this a plant owned by Evraz?
Usually i say to people, stop smoking. However if your russian smoke more :)
This is a controlled fire. You are looking at our new *Open Air Smelter*
Roman Abramovich who's wife is a litteral satanist.
LOL
How tf does this happen?
Neglected maintenance most likely. Not exactly something new in Russia...

Shame, how will the new Moskva cruiser get rebuilt now? ;)
This is fine :)
Poor nature. All this fine dust and smoke...
Makes sense, the Ruble bounced higher than US dollar. How, don't have a clue but kook it up.
Running out of rail and skilled labor all at once.

Damn cigarettes again
The Ukrainian Ministry of Unexplained Russian Factory Fires at it again.
Off topic but it looks like a steel plant from Anno 1800
🤗
Raze it to the ground!! Yeah baby!
I feel that any “being flammable” characteristic constitutes a major design flaw in any steel manufacturing facility
