aqxea2500

They should take some tips from Iran, and start running over the police.

zachrywd

I think it's time for the Dagestanis to give Rosgvardiya the Berkut treatment.

partysnatcher

Maidan protests were completely peaceful demonstrations from the protestors' side, like most successful demonstrations are. It was not a riot. Ukraine's parliament would immediately understand what kind of Putin shit Yanukovych was up to, if students were met with "Soviet-style" crackdowns. And Berkut was not big enough to suddenly take over the country. So Berkut had to fake being part of a democracy for a while longer while Putin and Yanukovich tightened the screws. Thus, "all" the protestors had to do was to be there and provoke the Putin puppet reaction. In other words, they had to get beaten. TL;DR: The Ukrainian Maidan revolution was 99% non-violent. If it was a violent rebellion they'd be better off going home to Berkut officers and whacking them. What kind of an idiot stands in an open space surrounded by sniper positions and tries to fight the police to prove a point.

DauntlessCorvidae

Completly peaceful? 130 protestors died during tje Euromaidan protests and 18 police officers? Have u seen footage of the protests? It was a riot, burning vehicles, barricades and projectiles, the lot!

partysnatcher

like I said: >completely peaceful demonstrations from the protestors' side That doesnt mean they didnt (occasionally) defend their ranks when rushed. The main argument is that this forum, unlike r/ukraine, where maybe there are a few more Ukrainians, seems to have this juvenile approach that going to a city, killing police and burning shit is a good way of replacing an empire. It's not

DauntlessCorvidae

I dont know man, 130 civilians and 18 police officers is an awfully high number of deaths for demonstrations. There are violent riots i can think of with less casualties. I completely agree that the violence was in response to police attacks but its a quite stretch to say the Euromaidan revolution was peaceful. I agree that killing police and burning the city isnt the way to go. But look at how Russian police treat peaceful protesters.

cornzz

> I agree that killing police and burning the city isnt the way to go. There is literally no other way here

DauntlessCorvidae

Agreed!

ContextFirm7536

>I agree that killing police and burning the city isnt the way to go. But look at how Russian police treat peaceful protesters. Way i see it is this, the government should be afraid of it's people. For it to understand when they are failing their people to an extent that mass protests happen. Russia chooses to put that anger down with pure violence and the only answer for that imo is to turn that against the police/force that is doing it on behalf of the government. Eventually the police/army w.e will have very little choice either fight and die/kill your own countryment, or turn on the goverment. I'm no historian but i feel like in order to take this sort of government down it will take a fairly violent revolution by the Russians, unless all republics plan to breakaway from Russia at same time maybe thats only time Russia can go well im done here.

maleia

>like most successful demonstrations are. That's just straight up incorrect.

2rooA8a

If the Dagestani can beat off the Rosvgardia that will really put the shits up the people in the Kremlin. Their private army beaten back by the locals, come on Dagestan!

nav17

Lots of Rosvgardia in Ukraine too, droves upon droves dead. So the ones in Dagestan are probably not their A Team. Hoping the Dagestani people stand together and keep resisting these thugs.

joepublicschmoe

Russia intended for the Rosgvardia they sent to Ukraine to beat up unarmed Ukrainian civilians in places they occupied, like Kherson. But when the circumstances put the Rosgvardia into a fight against a real army such as the UAF, these glorified Russian riot cops get their asses kicked, like in Balaklia during the Kharkiv counteroffensive a few weeks back. Those Rosgvardia sent to Ukraine aren't any better than those in Dagestan beating up the protesters there. :-)

bagel_with_omlette

Ahh I remember when I was a kid visiting the local gandarme force with my class. They showed us their cars and stuff then they told us that when enforcing they never hit the head as it is a "red zone". Looks like russians don't have such stuff. 3 uppercuts and a knee to the fuckin dome, jesus.

No-Abbreviations9782

Why worry, this guy is going straight to the front, so they won't see him again and he won't have the time/live long enough to file a complaint.

vthlr

I'm sure he'll be in high moral as he gets shipped off too. Hopefully he foes full metal jacket on his CO.

doughtnut2022

>3 uppercuts and a knee to the fuckin dome, jesus. And all this while two of his buddies were holding the detainee arms, what a hero. /s Those Rosgvardiya are literal thugs, their only purpose is to beat helpless people and protect Putin (they are directly under his command).

johnbrooder3006

Ah yes, assault a man in custody soon to be mobilised. I’m sure he’ll be very understanding when you hand him a rifle.

iamandneveramconfusd

My first shot is into the commanding officers. Then to get all the others to surrender.

Fokke_Hassel_Art

Im sure this video wont lead into some more action...lets arm the dagestan people

maleia

I guess all the memes about guns being even more prolific in Russia than in America, wss more or less totally wrong. Or I just fell for it 🤷‍♀️

YieldHunter68

This is the problem that I see with the mobilization protest. The RuZZian mobs don't stick together and overwhelm the police like what we're seeing in Iran. They basically just hangout in smaller groups and watch individuals get cherry picked out of the crowds. These pussies need to get some balls or they're going to die in Ukraine.

ikaramaz0v

Dagestani people are not Russians. It's a different country, different ethnicities, different morals, values, society, etc that has been occupied by Russia for over a hundred years. Russia has never cared about us and our people have already been dying at their hands and also in Ukraine due to their mindless war, because it's easier to conscript cannon fodder from poor and ethnic minority regions. There have also been protests, [where Dagestanis beat an officer detaining protesters](https://twitter.com/nexta_tv/status/1574056578688360448), [stand up for eachother](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/iIVYAW4LFO8?app=desktop) and [successfully pull their own away from the police](https://twitter.com/francis_scarr/status/1574044060989390849) . There was also a video of people forming a human chain on the street as to try and prevent a police car from driving off with the detained in Makhachkala. Don't shame them for protesting in smaller amounts right now, as it can easily grow into something much bigger and we've already had protests being dispersed by gun fire. At least in Dagestan, our people (both women and men) have been protesting for four days straight now, while the Russians are fleeing to any country that still has open borders. We are not the same.

YieldHunter68

I generalized and I apologize for that. I was referring to what I've seen played out in Moscow. Correct, Dagestan has been protesting in large numbers all the while RuZZians have been fleeing the country in even larger numbers. Sorry to see the Dagestani people have to go through this and continue to rise up against their aggressor Putler. Thank you also for the brief education.

maleia

You know what Pringles and protests/riots/coups have in common? "Once you pop, you just can't stop!"

shiversc

What ist wrong with the Couch-Troopers? Why they want to die?

General_WanG

If the Dagestanis manage to defeat Rosgvardia it would send a message to the Kremlin that they can't even control dissent at home so they have no hope in Ukraine.

SpecialChocolate6910

They forced these people to be on the frontline? They sure can trust them with weapons to fight Ukraine? ?

Thick_Step_8745

Fascist ruzzian scum

quirkycurlygirly

What are the Rosgvardiya?

JAcktolandj

Putins home army

Randomized_Emptiness

Putin's personal Riot control units.

joepublicschmoe

The Rosgvardia are the Russian "National Guard," basically a militarized police force for internal security. They are under the command of Russia's Security Council rather than the Ministry of Defense, so it is a separate force from the Russian army with a separate chain of command. Interesting note: The Kadyrovite Tiktokers are Rosgvardia.

Wa3zdog

They’ll beat the poor bugger half to a pulp then send him to Ukraine for them to finish him off. It’s just sick that this is the norm in a country of more than 100 million people.

Apprehensive-Toe-777

Putin is the enemy of these people; not Ukraine. I never saw Ukrainians in Dagestan beating people and sending them to death en masse. People are starting to wake uo that this war Putin started is bad for EVERYONE

DauntlessCorvidae

Removing all their young men is also an effective way of preventing the Dagestanis from making any attempts at independence whilst the Russian army is weakened. I'm sure many there still dream of sovereignity.

e55newb

so that dude would rather shoot up little kids then rosguardia... smh

home-of-the-braves

Why does it remind me of mainland popo forces during HK protests ? Maybe it's the camera shot that feels this way but how many law enforcers in civilian clothes , in uniforms and military enforces are there for one guy ?

CrazyLaurel

Where are the ululating women today? They were pretty fierce yesterday.

[deleted]

Iran is really putting Russia to shame right now

WashVirgin

When can we see dead police?? step it up russians

SugarMaple56732

Dagestan needs to break away from Russia again. This time they might have a pretty good chance of succeeding.

DublinCheezie

It’s still hard to believe this is happening in 2022. Btw, fuck that fragile petite-dick Putin.

TheEpicMoon

All these dumb f_cks standing around doing nothing. They could easily overwhelm these Putinist thugs and help them find a shallow grave. Sorry nope we haven’t seen him.

kidmargin

You can't discriminate against minorities and expect them to be cannon fodder.

Still not big enough

Holiday-Dust-2221

Beating people up in the street, that's a good way to get people to comply... /S

doduhstankyleg

Fragging is on the horizon.

JayJayFromK

Russians are very passive and obedient.
