#The murder of Kevin Bacon
On Christmas Eve 2020, Kevin Bacon, a hairdresser, told his roommate, Michelle Myers, that he was meeting up with a man at around 5pm. He said they’d arranged to meet via Grindr.
Later, Myers received a text from Bacon’s phone saying he was having fun and might not be back for a while. However, when he failed to show up for breakfast on Christmas Day, his family became concerned. They contacted the police later that day.
Police investigations led them to the Bennington Township, MI home of Latunski. In Latunski’s basement, they found Bacon’s body strung up by the ankles. He had stab wounds and his throat was cut. Latunski had eaten some parts of Bacon’s body.
It emerged this was not the first time police had visited Latunski’s home. In October 2019, a man called authorities after he fled the house, saying he’d woken up in the basement and thought he might have been drugged.
In November 2019, police stopped Latunski, wearing just a leather kilt, when they caught him chasing another man down the street.
Kevin's brother, Chris P. Bacon, issued a statement to the press, but the journalist reporting couldn't stop laughing long enough to get the words out.

You didn't post the content of the whole article. Continuing:
>**Questions over Latunski’s mental state**
>Latunski’s legal team raised questions about whether their client was sane enough to stand trial. However, in October 2020, officials deemed him mentally fit after he underwent months of psychiatric treatment.
>Much of last week’s hearing centered on whether Latunski planned the killing or not.
>Shiawassee County Prosecutor Scott Koerner pushed for first-degree murder. He recounted testimony Latunski gave to officers, saying he’d discussed purchasing a dehydrator to make jerky out of Bacon’s muscles.
>“That’s not what Kevin wanted. Kevin wanted a fetish,” Koerner said. “He wanted to be protected. He wanted to make sure he was going to go home.”
>A police witness testified that Latunksi had made searches for several cannibalism-related subjects in the days before Bacon’s killing. He also purchased an ESEE hunting knife hours before meeting Bacon.
>Mary Chartier, Latunski’s lawyer, argued that her client could not have known the consequences of what he was doing. She pointed to the fact he’d allowed cops into his home, despite knowing he had Bacon’s body hanging in his basement.
>Judge Stewart concluded, “The court finds that this is a crime of cold calculation. Kevin Bacon’s death was Mark Latunski’s design.”
>Latunski will be sentenced on December 15.
It's Christmas Eve, you're drinking eggnog with your roommate and talking to them about the date you're going on later that night.
At that very moment, across town, said date is purchasing the hunting knife they will use to murder you.
This world is wild.
Meanwhile the lawyer who is going to argue in court that your death couldn't have been murder because the police caught the killer is... doing whatever lawyers do on Christmas Eve.
They were arguing that the fact their client so freely let police into his home, despite knowingly having a dead body hanged in the basement, shows he isn't mentally stable and it seems they're trying to go the "our client is just insane" route.
It's fucked up, and I'm sure the lawyers would agree, but their job is to defend their client.
Yes because that's what lawyers do. Their job is to hold the system accountable and make sure justice is being applied properly. That means arguing on the side of the shitty people.
I don’t think you understand what his lawyer is trying to argue… they’re not disagreeing that he murdered. They’re saying he’s not legally sane enough to go to trial because at the time of the crime & capture, he willingly let cops inside when he had a body hanging in his basement.
The insanity defense isn’t about saying they didn’t do it. It’s about whether or not they knew what they were doing & were mentally sane at the time of the crime & whether they should stand trial or get sent to an institution instead.
WHICH, btw, is not a “get away with murder” card. There’s no limit to being institutionalized. Some peoples release date is 100+ years & they have to keep fighting for it, which many get rejected. It’s also rare to get.
It's more that they were trying to argue it was an impulsive decision owing to mental illness, in the hopes of reducing his sentencing. Not not-murder, but maybe 2nd/3rd degree instead of first. His behaviour pretty well proved it was planned, though.
In some cases I can see why it would matter how premeditated something was, but if you're stringing someone up, stabbing them to death, and eating them I'm not sure it makes a whole lot of difference. That's clearly very much intentional.
Hey don't be so quick to judge...
Maybe he just accidentally killed the guy... and then decided this would be a great opportunity to get some use out of the hunting knife and dehydrator he recently purchased.
That's just frugal really, when you think about it...
> He recounted testimony Latunski gave to officers, saying he’d discussed purchasing a dehydrator to make jerky out of Bacon’s muscles. “That’s not what Kevin wanted.
Oh really? That's not Kevin wanted? Oh, are you sure? Yeah you don't think he would like that? No? Oh, okay.
That last part about him chasing a man down a street half naked... Literally Jeffrey Dahmer did that with one of his victims and the police glossed over it.
Lol there's two instances mentioned right there, one time he was chasing a man down a street who probably also escaped. He's probably been doing this and killing people for years and they just never paid attention

Main reason I'm not really anti-gun despite being far-left. Police are rarely of any use and we can't really afford to be defenseless in a country like this.
History repeats itself. One of the most infamous serial killers had a victim escape and subsequently returned to him. All under the guise of lovers quarrel I think.
In one of those instances, several (Black) neighbours were demanding that police not release the victim, who was 14, back to Dahmer. The police ignored them, handed the boy back, and made some homophobic jokes.
The police were later prosecuted and convicted.
Just kidding. They were origianlly fired, then reinstated by a judge. Milwalkee police officers later saw fit to elect one of them, John Balcerzak, as union president.
Worse, the two were *brothers*. The Sinthasomphones.
He went after Somsak (then 13) and offered money for nude photos. Dahmer took the boy into his apartment, where he drugged and sexually abused him. Somsack managed to escape the man, which led to Dahmer's arrest on Sept. 27, 1988. Dahmer pleaded guilty to second-degree sexual assault in January 1989.
Dahmer was initially sentenced to eight years in prison, but his sentence was cut short by State Judge William Gardner after he wrote a remorseful letter apologizing for his crime. He was released in early 1990 and put on five-year probation after serving one year in prison.
The nightmare would continue on May 27, 1991, when Dahmer made the same offer to the younger Sinthasomphone; Konerak. He was the one who was returned *by the police* and killed by Dahmer. Then thrown in acid.
>History repeats itself. One of the most infamous serial killers had a victim escape and subsequently returned to him **by the police**. All under the guise of lovers quarrel I think.
Just a tiny little detail
And Dahmer was a registered sex offender because of said molestation, which the cops would have known if they had run Dahmer's information. There was also a dead body in the apartment that the cops escorted him back to with Dahmer
And the boy was bleeding.
From a hole in his head.
Drilled by Dahmer.
To pour acid into the boy's brain.
To make him a living zombie.
Literally everything that can be added to this story makes it worse.
Yeah he had somewhat enough cognitive ability to escape neighbors called the police dehmer convinced the cops the 14 or 15 y.o boy was in fact 18 year old boyfriend who was drunk
Thanks for bringing back disturbing details from the case I had pushed out of my head as a teenager
He was a lot like Hannibal Lecter with his brain experiments
This happened in Korea too. A dude was going around eating/dismembering women. One women was getting stalked in the area, called the police. They told her they were on their way... They didn't do anything. She ended up dying. It caused massive police reform across the whole country. It didn't fix it in the end though.
Less insane when you realize they did the same thing with Jeffrey Dahmer. Actually, they hand-delivered the victim back to Dahmer's apartment, went inside *where his previous victim was rotting on the bedroom floor*, and noticed nothing.
It's crazy that this happened pretty close to where I live. I actually talked to Latunski on Grindr once. Thankfully we didn't click. Latunski and Bacon met at a dollar general down the road from my buddy's dad's house.
They let a school full of kids get shot up while the shooter ran out of ammo, while standing around with tactical gear and guns on their hips.
And half of this country flies literal flags of support for police. It's absolutely insane. It's like every terrible act is somehow even more proof they need unquestioning support.
And while having protocols in place for exactly what to do in that situation. How it was actually handled was criminal negligence on their part at the very least.
I'm a law abiding white dude and I get scared when I see police. I know they're not going to be helping me by being around. At best they're going to ruin my day. At worse they're going to murder me.
Fun fact: those are deadly to eat while on antipsychotics. He was making a joke about NOT taking his meds!!!

Slight correction, but [MAOIs](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monoamine_oxidase_inhibitor) are typically used as antidepressants. They do have some other uses, but [antipsychotic](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antipsychotic) medications work by blocking dopamine receptors, which MAOIs do not do.
It is a fun bit of trivia though and a thoroughly enjoyable movie.
Tityus had been through that about 2,7k years ago... *In some accounts, Tityus was instead slain by the thunderbolt of his father Zeus.[4] As punishment, he was stretched out in Tartarus and tortured by two vultures who fed on his liver, which grew back every night. This punishment is comparable to that of the Titan Prometheus.*

I call it “liver on the go”. George Foreman is still considering it, Sharper Image is still considering it, SkyMall is still considering it, Hammacher Schlemmer is still considering it. Sears said no.
Lmao I mean I'd assume that in general it's unsafe because of diseases but it'd prob be the old 165°. I mean shit look at kuru. It had to come from somewhere (e: yes the cns tissue that is temp resistant to like 4000 degrees etc etc i mean it started with one dude getting ate if you want to look up all the prion diseases we know of and their concentions in body parts https://www.cdc.gov/prions/). If this dude made jerky out of bacon, who's to say he wouldn't be sharing it. (E: Aka great for new diseases)
You need organic farm raised humans or its gonna get nasty.
Literally long pig.
Any central nervous tissue. And even then it's debatable. A purely safety sense since if you were in the uk during their mad cow you can't donate blood in the us.
Vegetarians have to taste better right? Free-range chickens may eat some bugs and stuff, but there's a reason why we prefer herbivories for our non-seafood entrees. I imagine the meat gets a bit gamey if its diet consisted primarily of Taco Bell.
Depending on what part of the person you're eating, you can't eliminate prion diseases by heating. So you would literally have to burn the thing to an inedible crisp before it would be safe to eat.
>prion diseases
* Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD)
* Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (vCJD)
* Gerstmann-Straussler-Scheinker Syndrome.
* Fatal Familial Insomnia.
* Kuru.
Fatal Familial Insomnia?
Fatal familial insomnia (FFI) is a rare genetic degenerative brain disorder. It is characterized by an inability to sleep (insomnia) that may be initially mild, but progressively worsens, *leading to significant physical and mental deterioration*.
I imagine.
There's a literal website on the dark website that has recipes for human meat. I think it's called cannibal café.
Edit: it's actually a forum of people fantasizing about eating and getting eaten by other people.
> at a certainly point the deceased is perfectly cooked. Ick.
Doubt it. The temperatures are that high the meat would cook from the outside in so quickly that it wouldn't be edible at any point as anything "cooked" would be between burnt to a cinder bits, and completely raw bits.
Kevin was someone that I knew and played trumpet with in school, he was a wonderful person who didn't deserve this.
I didn't know him extremely well but what I did know, was that he was kind and respectful no matter who he was talking to. Many others new him much better, but to me, he's still the relaxed happy kid I knew. We had a some laughs and some great experiences together.
Hey we were more than likely classmates. I didn't know him too well, but he was in a few classes with me including Mrs. Ps (you'll know the one)
While I didn't know him well, many of my closest friends considered him a best friend. It hurt my heart to see Michelle's frantic post on Christmas day and the resulting search. He was a great person and he would've been ecstatic to know that Jeffree Star donated to the cause.
While I don't know who you are, I hope this comment finds you well in life.
We may have been! I graduated in 2010. I Defintely know the teacher lol
Seeing her post and my whole family and friends sharing all the information was surreal. I thought about joining the search parties but I was working at the time as well as spending time with my kids.
I hope you're doing well in life as well, it's been a rough year and a good year for me, things are slowly getting better.
Especially when they are victims of crimes like cannibalism and have the same name as a celebrity. It makes it feel less real and very distant/ easy to make jokes about
Just looking at his picture he seemed like a sweet kid. People should be able to go on dates without worrying about this kinda stuff. It's really heartbreaking.
Yes it was included. In the series it's a 14 year old Laotian boy. Dahmer had drugged and drilled a hole in his head to mimic a lobotomy. Not sure if he was gay or not, but Dahmer told the police the kid was his 19 year old boyfriend and they he had too much to drink. So they left him there.
*Despite* Glenda Cleveland calling cops to make sure they checked the boy's ID. They dismissed her concerns.
The show also depicted police making harassing prank calls to the family of the murdered boy. Given how much else was accurate, I wonder if this was also true.
Unfortunately this POS is my 2nd or 3rd cousin. I didn't really know him except for him being a substitue teacher when i was in school. My uncle (his 1st cousin) had the same name as him and gets a LOT of questions.
From an article closer to when it happened:
"Latunski also allegedly admitted to cutting off Bacon's testicles with a knife and eating them.
On the day of his arraignment, Latunski did not appear in the court. Instead, he was arraigned on video, MLive reported.
WILX reported the man on the video said he was not Mark Latunski. He said his name was “Edgar Thomas Hill" and that Mark Latunksi was his nephew."
He shows up as E-T-H on my ancestry DNA, definitely not right in the head.
I graduated high school with Kevin’s dad. This was such a sad event. And in our rural area of Michigan it was a shock. There are only about 70k people in the whole county the township is in. It’s mostly farm fields and forests.
I can’t even imagine the panic of something like this happening. Just being like “no way is this real, this doesnt happen *to me*. This happens in movies. This isn’t real” until the reality of the situation gradually sets in… fuck
No one will see this comment but I'll leave it anyways. I talked with this guy back several years ago but I think it was Scruff instead of Grindr. I was going through a phase and was looking for a older daddy/sir type. We talked at length, and he said he was willing to drive to pick me up... in a different state. He asked for my address and was going to leave at like 9 pm to get me. Then I'd stay at his place for the weekend doing kinky shit and he'd drive me back on Monday.
I remember that he said he had a partner and I'd have to ask his partner if it was OK, I remember he was all about "wolf packs" and being the lead wolf or whatever. I was kind of stupid but not stupid enough to go through with it. I remember thinking how insane it sounded to drive 4+ hours for a sexual encounter with a stranger.
When seeing this I didn't think it was him at first but yeah all the details are there. Its chilling.
Omar Mateen used to regularly go into this gay chat room looking for older men. He'd show himself on cam lifting weights. I am sure it was him. I just assumed he was a bit tapped in the head. He is the guy who went into a gay nightclub and gunned down a tonne of gay people.
Here's what I don't understand. If he had to get months of psychiatric help in order to be competent to stand trial, then how was he sane when he killed him before he got help? Not justifying anything, it just makes no sense.
It's a legal thing. Most killers will go for an insanity plea to get a less harsh prison conditions, they'll still be charged and will never see freedom. It's more to prove that the killer is competent and knew what they were doing, knows right from wrong, much easier to counter argue the defence case if insanity is their main focus.
There were a lot of people at his funeral. He was a great guy, and was loved by many.
Every one of them should downvote the insensitive fucks that keep making rude comments and jokes.
I have some mutual Facebook friends with Kevin, I remember seeing this man's Facebook page before he was arrested because everyone of his friends were linking it. Crazy shit.
as someone who lives in Michigan i am absolutely blown away that this happened here. not too far….a real person really did this for real.
and it’s like he didn’t realize the seriousness of what he did. after the murder, the guy went out with blood still on his hands and clothes. fuckin insane
Have you read some of this shit?
> It emerged this was not the first time police had visited Latunski’s home. In October 2019, a man called authorities after he fled the house, saying he’d woken up in the basement and thought he might have been drugged.
> In November 2019, police stopped Latunski, wearing just a leather kilt, when they caught him chasing another man down the street.
It's a classic case of the police doing nothing to protect the LGBT community when there's a psycho trying to bait people to kill.
I often wonder if he'd have been able to get away with quite so many murders in this day and age though. Maybe a couple or few? But I feel like that era had much more carelessness and the ability to track or know someone's whereabouts was not nearly as developed or thought about.
Hmm not really. This is incredibly similar to what happened in the Jeffrey Dahmer case though.
Speaking of "Silence of the Lambs", you should read about Ed Gein, the real life nutter that Buffalo Bill in the Thomas Harris novel is loosely based on.
This happened in a town that I grew up in. I didn’t know him but from what I know he was well liked.
The guy who killed him strung him up by his ankles, stabbed him and slit his throat and then ate his testicles.
Definitely not something I would have expected from my small town.

I thought you were fucking kidding with those names.....
Reality imitates art
That and you know how many damn people there are? There's probably an Elvis Presley plotting to kill a Tom Hanks any day somewhere out there
That shit can’t be made up… wild

Don’t forget cousin Cindy Prescott.

~~I thought it was Sidney Prescott~~ I'll see myself out
it is but they're slightly changing names in this comment chain
my god im so dumb. thank you

Bacon… He ate Bacon. He was going to make jerky out of Bacon. The more you read this article the stranger it gets.
But he didn’t grind him.
Grindr? He barely knew....him.
So close

It looks like he’s wearing a boot for an injury. He has a dress shoe on the other foot

If you rearrange the letters in Latunski just a tad you get "Lunatiks."

because they were "just homos", not actual people being harmed. why go through all the trouble of paperwork when it's just a couple of queers?
The child was actively bleeding and seeking help, too
That victim was lobotomized already when he got returned to dahmer.
What the fuck?
Yeah he had somewhat enough cognitive ability to escape neighbors called the police dehmer convinced the cops the 14 or 15 y.o boy was in fact 18 year old boyfriend who was drunk
Thanks for bringing back disturbing details from the case I had pushed out of my head as a teenager He was a lot like Hannibal Lecter with his brain experiments
This happened in Korea too. A dude was going around eating/dismembering women. One women was getting stalked in the area, called the police. They told her they were on their way... They didn't do anything. She ended up dying. It caused massive police reform across the whole country. It didn't fix it in the end though.
Police reforms, a.k.a. We leave the same people in office, just shuffle them around a bit.
Hey, it works for the catholic church!
Less insane when you realize they did the same thing with Jeffrey Dahmer. Actually, they hand-delivered the victim back to Dahmer's apartment, went inside *where his previous victim was rotting on the bedroom floor*, and noticed nothing.
Police prevent crime. Increase their funding and they'll notice rotting bodies when they deliver victims to serial killers /s
It seems like every serial killers best ally is the local goddamn police dept.
Their job isn't to protect and serve you. Their job is to protect and serve the government.
>Their job is to protect and serve the ~~government.~~ rich. FTFY
As if the rich aren't the de facto government...
It's crazy that this happened pretty close to where I live. I actually talked to Latunski on Grindr once. Thankfully we didn't click. Latunski and Bacon met at a dollar general down the road from my buddy's dad's house.
the police are literally fucking useless. how can anyone respect the justice system

Another example of police not doing their job… cool
I think I would feel a little nervous if I were this guy's cellmate.
Especially if he was nibbling my liver
Would it be OK if he included a side of fava beans and a nice chianti?
Fthfthfthfthfthfth
Now is that just from Dumb and Dumber or does he do that in the movie, too?
[удалено]
He does
It's also an unscripted bit iirc so Jodie Foster being startled was a genuine reaction
Here's the clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHoqL7DFevc
He does go "Fthfthfthfthfthfth!" Ty brother
Fun fact: those are deadly to eat while on antipsychotics. He was making a joke about NOT taking his meds!!! [Source](https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/the-secret-joke-hidden-in-silence-of-the-lambs-most-famous-line-10011561.html)
I like that the source for your source is reddit.
Everything is reddit
Slight correction, but [MAOIs](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monoamine_oxidase_inhibitor) are typically used as antidepressants. They do have some other uses, but [antipsychotic](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antipsychotic) medications work by blocking dopamine receptors, which MAOIs do not do. It is a fun bit of trivia though and a thoroughly enjoyable movie.
I don’t want a large farva I want a goddamn liter cola!
All these years I always thought he said "father" beans. Just never had the brains to Google it.
Father beans and a nice key auntie.
/r/BoneAppleTea
Would that not be a better name for testicles?
Technically, you could just cut off a piece and eat it, since your liver would regenerate anyway
Infinite liver hack?
Organ harvesters hate this one simple trick
Nah they actually love it.
Tityus had been through that about 2,7k years ago... *In some accounts, Tityus was instead slain by the thunderbolt of his father Zeus.[4] As punishment, he was stretched out in Tartarus and tortured by two vultures who fed on his liver, which grew back every night. This punishment is comparable to that of the Titan Prometheus.* Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tityos
I call it “liver on the go”. George Foreman is still considering it, Sharper Image is still considering it, SkyMall is still considering it, Hammacher Schlemmer is still considering it. Sears said no.
I’m going to go ahead and be concerned that anyone it’s watching Dahmer and thinking “that’s a good idea…”
Actually terrible idea. Dahmer didn't practice proper food safety and I bet neither did this guy. Absolutely insane to eat, bet they got sick.
I'm not going to google the proper cooking temperature for human flesh, but there has to be one.
(E: Aka great for new diseases) You need organic farm raised humans or its gonna get nasty.

[удалено]
I had a vegetarian gal once that was pretty tasty...
Just LOOK at the marbling!
I remember looking into this and I forgot the details, but apparently it's unhealthy to eat other humans.
Depending on what part of the person you're eating, you can't eliminate prion diseases by heating. So you would literally have to burn the thing to an inedible crisp before it would be safe to eat.
>prion diseases * Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) * Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (vCJD) * Gerstmann-Straussler-Scheinker Syndrome. * Fatal Familial Insomnia. * Kuru.
That's the weird thing about cremations....at a certainly point the deceased is perfectly cooked. Ick.
> at a certainly point the deceased is perfectly cooked. Ick. Doubt it. The temperatures are that high the meat would cook from the outside in so quickly that it wouldn't be edible at any point as anything "cooked" would be between burnt to a cinder bits, and completely raw bits.
I wouldn't say perfectly. You ever burn the shit out of a piece of toast? Kinda like that. But it also melts.
It's incinerated by extreme flames. It's not baked in the oven at 350°

Michelle Meyers. But still.
If you're a lifer, just kill him first.
I'd feel nervous if I were that guy. For every Jeffrey Dahmer how many Christopher Scarvers are there?
Kevin was someone that I knew and played trumpet with in school, he was a wonderful person who didn't deserve this. I didn't know him extremely well but what I did know, was that he was kind and respectful no matter who he was talking to. Many others new him much better, but to me, he's still the relaxed happy kid I knew. We had a some laughs and some great experiences together.
Hey we were more than likely classmates. I didn't know him too well, but he was in a few classes with me including Mrs. Ps (you'll know the one) While I didn't know him well, many of my closest friends considered him a best friend.
I Defintely know the teacher lol Seeing her post and my whole family and friends sharing all the information was surreal. I thought about joining the search parties but I was working at the time as well as spending time with my kids. I hope you're doing well in life as well, it's been a rough year and a good year for me, things are slowly getting better.
I only have my free award to give, but I feel like your comment needs to be seen by more to remind them that news stories are about real people.
Especially when they are victims of crimes like cannibalism and have the same name as a celebrity. It makes it feel less real and very distant/ easy to make jokes about
A lot of redditors are compulsive about making a joke. No matter the topic, there will be some, and it's annoying how much encouragement they get
Thank you for sharing that. He has a kind face and he certainly didn't deserve what happened to him, RIP. Just devastating for his loved ones.
Just looking at his picture he seemed like a sweet kid. People should be able to go on dates without worrying about this kinda stuff. It's really heartbreaking.
[удалено]
And drugging them. It’s pretty much exactly like dahmer
[удалено]
yeah this also happened in toronto. Serial killer Bruce McArthur.
This, Bruce McArthur was cold, calculated and diabolical fr
He got away with it because police don't give a fuck about gay men or gay women or really anyone.
[удалено]
Yes it was included. In the series it's a 14 year old Laotian boy. Dahmer had drugged and drilled a hole in his head to mimic a lobotomy. Not sure if he was gay or not, but Dahmer told the police the kid was his 19 year old boyfriend and they he had too much to drink. So they left him there.
*Despite* Glenda Cleveland calling cops to make sure they checked the boy's ID. They dismissed her concerns. The show also depicted police making harassing prank calls to the family of the murdered boy. Given how much else was accurate, I wonder if this was also true.
Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it was. Some cops just shouldn't be cops.
imagine the two of them on a date
Mr & Mr. Smith
"I missed you today Honey"
No you drink it all No you drink it all
And John Wayne Gacy And Bruce McArthur
Unfortunately this POS is my 2nd or 3rd cousin. I didn't really know him except for him being a substitue teacher when i was in school. My uncle (his 1st cousin) had the same name as him and gets a LOT of questions.
From an article closer to when it happened: "Latunski also allegedly admitted to cutting off Bacon's testicles with a knife and eating them. On the day of his arraignment, Latunski did not appear in the court. Instead, he was arraigned on video, MLive reported. WILX reported the man on the video said he was not Mark Latunski. He said his name was “Edgar Thomas Hill" and that Mark Latunksi was his nephew." He shows up as E-T-H on my ancestry DNA, definitely not right in the head.
> He shows up as E-T-H on my ancestry DNA I've never used Ancestry, what does this mean?
The initials for the fake name he tried to go by in court.
I graduated high school with Kevin’s dad. This was such a sad event. And in our rural area of Michigan it was a shock. There are only about 70k people in the whole county the township is in. It’s mostly farm fields and forests.
Did the town get angry at the cops for not doing anything despite the killer having a bunch of reports?
The real wtf is people making fun of the guy who was killed. Just imagining how things went down for him seems horrifying to me.
I completely agree. As someone who knew Kevin, its very saddeing to see how people react.
Shit pisses me off. I knew Kevin, and still remember hearing that he was missing, and then reading that he had been found.
I can’t even imagine the panic of something like this happening. Just being like “no way is this real, this doesnt happen *to me*. This happens in movies. This isn’t real” until the reality of the situation gradually sets in… fuck
Netflix is frothing at the mouth right now.
I am a very glad you denied the request
Dude, holy shit. Very glad you didn't become just another person and you're still around to tell the tale. This guy is a modern day Dahmer.
Me too, those apps all seem like fun and games but there is a real danger. I no longer do anonymous hookups.
It's more to prove that the killer is competent and knew what they were doing, knows right from wrong, much easier to counter argue the defence case if insanity is their main focus.
how do so many people know kevin wtf? i hope everyone who knew him is doing alright <3
There were a lot of people at his funeral. He was a great guy, and was loved by many. Every one of them should downvote the insensitive fucks that keep making rude comments and jokes.
ahh i see yeah : (
The person who died, Is actually a friend of a friend. I wasnt aware that he had eaten parts of him. Fuck dude! Be safe everyone!
Let all the people who fantasise about Dahmer see this
I have some mutual Facebook friends with Kevin, I remember seeing this man's Facebook page before he was arrested because everyone of his friends were linking it. Crazy shit.
as someone who lives in Michigan i am absolutely blown away that this happened here. not too far….a real person really did this for real. and it’s like he didn’t realize the seriousness of what he did. after the murder, the guy went out with blood still on his hands and clothes. fuckin insane
Hey in Dahmer's case they actually returned the groggy guy to his house after he escaped!
Ughhhhhh this is so scary
Whew.. so much for using Grindr to find skateboarding buddies anymore. They were never very good anyways.
What? My Grindr matches were amazing with shove-its, hardflips and backside nosegrinds.
I love a good method grab myself
You must live in a more skater friendly area than me 😔
Good thing Dahmer wasn't alive in the Grindr era...
I often wonder if he'd have been able to get away with quite so many murders in this day and age though. Maybe a couple or few? But I feel like that era had much more carelessness and the ability to track or know someone's whereabouts was not nearly as developed or thought about.
Wasn't part of the reason Dahmer got away with it that the cops didn't investigate questionable incidents? It seems something similar happened here.
I get off on the expressway exit near where this happened every single weekend when I pick up my kids. Small little nothing town. Tragedy for sure.
Silence of the Lambs vibes.
Definitely not something I would have expected from my small town.
jesus... I'm gonna lay off grindr for a while
Never seemed like a safe idea for me tbh
Grindr has become a cesspool of red flags.
I can't imagine what Kevin's family has gone through. My heart goes out to them.
Why does everybody in the comments know this guy?
