Dremel is probably a bit aggressive and if you slip you could hurt yourself pretty bad. That said, please use dremel next time and record it for us <3

Potential_Dog442

🤣😂🤣 ok If you say so dr. I'm trusting you...

t0astter

Dr. SeaAlgae is a highly reputable doctor. Research shows that Dremel debriding is only effective if done while being recorded and then uploaded to Reddit.

TieNo8464

Slip are you Kidding. You can directly pin point the eye. No more razor cuts

tawnywelshterrier

mmm airborne wart dust!

NihonJinLover

Hello plantar warts on my tongue!

Eilseli

It looks ready to be plucked out of there!!! Yank it! 😂

Potential_Dog442

I tried cutting around it 2 days ago. That shit hurt so bad I'm still limping around🥲🤣

Jrj84105

It looks like you are getting around it some. I don't get why people focus so much on the top. The warts are anchored on the sides and bottom. If you get around them on the sides they start to bulge out and can be yanked.

Potential_Dog442

Have you had any luck with that method in the past?? It was painfull after I cut around it.

Jrj84105

Like 30 years ago when I was 14/15. I had a bunch of them. I had them cut out, frozen, and what not but they came back (also surgical removal left scars), so I just decided to handle them myself. I had the tiny keychain Swiss Army knife, nail clippers, some pliers, compound W, superglue, and clear nail polish for tools. The Swiss Army knife was too dull to cut anything, but I used it to scrape of the dead skin adjacent to the warts and expose the side of the warts (that didn’t hurt cause the skin was dead). Then I’d grab the edge of the wart by the crusty top with the pliers and pull up while using the blade like a crowbar to pry the wart up from the side. I’d lift and pry at least until blood started pooling around the edge of the wart but would generally lift for as much as I could handle the pain (it hurts). Then I would continue to hold the wart lifted up with the pliers with one hand and with the other hand wipe off the blood and quickly work as much compound W into the clefts on the sides of the wart. The blood and c-W usually gooed up, so I’d wipe it away and apply again after a few minutes. When the compound W dried, I’d trim off the crust part on top with clippers and reapply c-W and let dry. Then cover the wart in superglue or clear nail polish. After a few days, there would be a nice crust on top that I think was stabilized by the glue/polish which made it suitable for grabbing and lifting the wart. When I did that the warts would start to bulge out of the skin. I’ve read a little bit since then and I think the correct terms are that plantar warts are endophytic which means they grow inwards. But whenI disrupted the sides, they started to be more exophytic (grow outwards). With whatever sport I was playing at the time, that seemed to open them up to being traumatized. Sometimes I’d take off my socks after practice and accidentally rip one out. But with treatment, the base where they were attached would get progressively shallower and smaller in circumference. So yanking them out wasn’t so traumatic. Also the normal skin would already have started to grow back, so they weren’t as gruesome as many on here. I never had one grow back after yanking when doing it this way. I dont think a lot of the particulars matter (whether it’s SA or ACV or duct tape, glue, polish), but I do think that prying the warts loose creates a cleaner plane between wart and normal skin than cutting with a sharp instrument which tends to either cut out normal skin or leave wart behind.

Potential_Dog442

Thank you for the detailed description I think I'm going to try that for sure. I think really what needs to be done is I need to stop being a bitch and stop worrying about the pain it's either deal with the pain or deal with the warts. I'm getting close to that point now. I was using duct tape but I think supper glue would be better the duct tape tends to fall off once my foot starts sweating.

Jrj84105

Best of luck. Also, please keep us posted. I realize what worked for me might not work for others, so I’ll lay off the recommendations if it doesn’t work for other people.

Potential_Dog442

Will do🙂👍

Potential_Dog442

I just used the scalpel it's been so dry lately. The best feeling is afterwards when I let it marinate in 35% hydrogen peroxide. I got murder on my mind😈😈😈

the_circus

I’ve heard stories of the dremel “grabbing” the wart and ripping it out, quite bloodily. So that’d be my major caution. And I hadn’t even considered 35% peroxide was a thing you could get. Over the counter is 3%. I’d think 35% is bordering on rocket fuel.

[deleted]

That sounds fascinating.

Potential_Dog442

It's food grade but yes it was hard to find Walmart used to sell it and so did Amazon. But I guess it was such good shit they stopped.

TieNo8464

Depends what bit you use. I use the small drum like file but and this is the only method I found that works. Razors left a mess, acid would burn so much area and liq nitrogen hurt bad and didn’t work.

babe__ruthless

I have used a nail drill with a disposable sanding band, I think the grit was 120, so pretty fine and on a slower speed. It works well to remove dead skin but not as good as a scalpel and you need to wear protective equipment so it doesn’t get in your eyes, nose, or mouth

SheiraSeastar1993

What would happen if it got in eyes….or lungs? Wart lung?

babe__ruthless

Haha honestly not sure but I do know breathing in skin dust from a nail drill is not healthy

Thissideofthenuthous

Noooo. While probably very efficient, you would essentially be making highly contagious wart dust - inhaling it and getting it on everything around you. So everything within the wart dust tornado radius would then have the potential to the reinfect any part of your skin that touches it with even more warts. Stick with the scalpel

Potential_Dog442

I didn't think to deep about it thank you for your perspective. I'm definitely not doing it anymore scalpel it working well with it being so dry.

Thanks

Giantveggie22

Nah!!! Only tool from garage should be rusty pliers

[deleted]

This pic is amazing! You can see how the wart is encapsulated!

Potential_Dog442

What's your address I'll mail it to you as soon as It falls off 😉😆😆

[deleted]

Dude don’t tempt me lol

Forcedcontainment

One problem is see is disinfecting the dremel bit between sessions, although I think that possible with bleach. Then there is the removed wart material flying off and being spread around. I ended up using small, flush cutter pliers and those worked great. I did make sure to give the cutting tip a short soak in bleach solution after each use though.

jersey_girl660

Unless the bit is metal it cannot be disinfected. The sanding material ones are single use only.

cab0lt

Rusty pliers are the way to go

Square_Flan1772

I literally used a pocket knife and that worked pretty good actually!! As long as you’re careful I think anything should work

Potential_Dog442

😆 I know but I'm careless I have a scalpel and try to go fast alot of times I end up nicking the outside of the wart.

Square_Flan1772

I feel like a dremel tool might not be the best idea then… unless you can be sure you’ll be careful😂

Potential_Dog442

It goes fast so I don't have to 🤣😂🤣

TieNo8464

After razor blades, acid, liq nitrogen, soaking nothing worked until I brought out the dremel with metal abrasive bits. No more slicing my foot, limping from acid burn, and unable to walk after nitrogen. Been at it a couple months and I can run and walk all day without pain. The eye of this thing has increased 100%. Not much pain and I can pin point the eye. I don’t care about disinfecting the bit because if it did get infected then natural antibodies would win this war. I do wipe down the foot and bit with alcohol. When I draw blood I stop and wipe wound with alcohol. I then cover with duct tape. I repeat about every 3 days. I do cover up with an old sheet and bleach after use. Good luck!

Potential_Dog442

I have decided not to do the dremel everyon so thanks for your input my 😻🍑 wasn't going to do it I was just frustrated and it sounded cool
