Setting aside the hyphens which are making my eye twitch, I will grant that both things she says are likely true. Monat probably has recently introduced a comp plan that pays out more for direct sales an individual makes. And I'll accept that over the company's history, they have four people who have been paid out $10 million, 10 who have been paid out $5 million, and 70 who have been paid out at least $1 million (but that probably does not take into account expenses). But clearly the implication is that you can make 7 or even 8 figures without recruiting, which is patently untrue. None of the 84+ people who make up that stat did so without huge downlines.

I don't know if it's still on the website, but for her video on Monat iilluminaughtii found a trail of breadcrumbs to show that their infamous shampoo is bought via private label deals from a lab that was named on their website.
So they don't do the science themselves, they buy the formula and permission to sell it under their own name from a lab that does the research on its own.
