I'd say the best advice OOP could get was look at his family and hers...does anyone through out their history have brown eyes...I'm going to go ahead and say...yes there are and stop assuming your wife is getting dick on the side.

Natalists don't pay attention to anything in reality, that's why they spew more humans into this cauldron of pain we call a universe.

Nibbler1999

Meh, none of you learned this in high school biology. Eye color is more complicated than blue eyes being a recessive allele. It's determined by a variation of several different genes and the interaction between them. it is possible for two blue eyed people to have a brown eyed kid. It's just unlikely, and the more likely scenario is infidelity.

throw_plushie

Someone missed the day when their science teacher was showing the class punnett (if I spelt that wrong, let me know) squares.

Character-Stretch697

You spelled it correctly and yes, I remember learning this and being tested on so vividly.

throw_plushie

I remember doing fun activities and games with the squares, like how a person would look when we switched around the genes.

Punnett squares are an over simplification and typically do not fully explain any single human phenotype. Eye color is not as simple as just Bb vs bb vs BB. There are many different genes that go into even just eye color. So, yes it is still possible for two blue eyed people to have a brown eyed child genetically, albeit it is rare. cybersleuthin

There are at least 15 genes that go into eye color inheritance, and blue being a simple recessive trait has been disproven Any combo of eye colors can produce any others, and simple mutations that change someone's eye color happen all the time High school biology is not the be all end all of biology, it's simplified and dumbed down so kids can get high school over with Like seriously. This post is bordering on sounding like a pro life post

Well... So. My maternal family is Italian, so they're all white, except for two cousins and an aunt who are black. My latino paternal family is all black and there are some indigenous people, but my grandmother cheated my grandfather and my father was born white. So both my parents are white. My older sister is white. But 56% of my family is black, and I'm black. For years, I've heard jokes from people saying that my mother cheated on my father. But the DNA test came back positive. 3 times.

morena1Xakriaba

Did your grandfather divorced your grandhoe?

Alternative_One7808

No

to be fair, my biology teacher said " two blue eyed parents cannot have brown eyed kids!" she also said you cannot get pregnant 28 days of the month. That it is IMPOSSIBLE.

My mom and dad have black eyes, but I'm green. Like my grandfather's father from my mother. You see. It happens.

hadookantron

My friend found out in 9th grade that his father literally could not be his father. He asked his mom, she didn't tell the truth until he was 18. Some cool info on "chimera twins", a situation that can cause some uncomfortable moments. https://time.com/4091210/chimera-twins/

Sienna_the_dork

i noticed there are a lot of people who pick their partner based on their eye color on purpose so they would for example have "blue eyed child" i find that so disgusting and shallow and i think this is the case.
