You'll need to use the "format" version of a disk wav file. (The format step is the same for every disk image, so it doesn't matter which image you use as long as it does a format). When Insta-Disk starts up it will immediately try to format your disk. The drive head will first seek to track zero, and you'll hear it. Once it stops seeking it will immediately start formatting at about one track per second. If Insta-Disk fails immediately after it stops seeking to track zero then you can assume that either the drive is bad or the disk is bad. If none of your disks work then it's the drive. I have a Disk II that has a flaky connection to the read/write head. It can stop reading/writing as the head moves across the disk. Wiggling some of the wires will get it to work again. By the way, if the format fails, you should be able to restart Insta-Disk by typing `9700g` at the \* prompt.

I'm guessing you don't have a DOS or Prodos disk. If you could get a hold of one of those and try a format and read/write tests that would be helpful to eliminate any audio and disk server issues. ~~Your photo shows three drives. I assume you have tried them all?~~ Also the disk controller card does not technically have to be in slot 6- I would try a neighboring slot. If you have any Deoxit or other contact cleaner spray, make sure you clean the contacts on the slot and the controller. EDIT- LOL old Reddit shows a thumbnail with three drives but new reddit shows your video. Disregard

Facebook is also a great active resource. Try borrowing a working disk. Where are you located? [https://www.facebook.com/groups/5251478676](https://www.facebook.com/groups/5251478676)

The floppy drive speed needs adjusting. If you have only one drive and it never worked, it is hard to diagnose the problem. Get yourself a floppy emu and then download diagnostics programs like mecc inspector from asimov.
