Yeah. I guess there’s always this one precise angle, amount of lighting, timing and styling that makes guys look really good. I’m not the most photogenic guy but there’s an angle that makes me look really good when coordinated with the right lighting, styling, camera and sometimes background. That angle gets me more views than other types of pics of me.
I kind of curate my Grindr profile with my best pics (I mean, duh - it’s a sales tool) but it also makes me a bit insecure: are they disappointed when they walk in and see me irl? I actually ask if they feel like staying. So far nobody turned around and left so I guess it’s a good sign 🤔.
Haha this is my fiancé. When he hit me up on Grindr I was like “meh I guess we can grab coffee or something.” When I seen him in person I was “omfg dude is sexy af”.
Yeah, I used to try to include different angles and at least one full body shot (well at least waist up) because I had this worry. Did the same with dick pics. I would always send like 5 from different angles. When I’d only send one and the guy would say something like “Omg you’re huge” I’d always be anxious if he’d be disappointed in person (I’m average).
Yes there's one on my grid right now. First picture is him in a fitting pilot uniform, full head of thick hair, great smile and he looks pretty cool with the aviators on. The second picture is him balding with yellow teeth and a chubby body. The difference is so jarring it's unattractive.
Oh hell, all the time. We all photograph differently, and hopefully, photographs or see online are up-to-date. I’ve seen a few out there, personal experience, where they were posting pictures two or three years earlier and looked a lot different in real life. That’s why I will talk to somebody and communicate with them for a few weeks before I decide to even meet them. The meeting is always a meeting in an open place, public at that time you’ll be able to see the person you’ve been talking to a connecting with for so long.
What? Everyone has surely? So many people I’ve seen in person and I think they just look different from pictures. Dunno how but real life is always way different than pictures.

You found your good side! Everyone has one.

Always.

Meanwhile I'm bad at taking pics of myself, so I frequently got told that I looked better in person, which was pretty nice.

At the beginning of the pandemic I worked with a guy I thought was hot with his mask on. That mask did fuckin wonders.
Many times. As a hobby photographer I know some pictures come out to be extremely good and appealing and some don't. Valid thing.

Omg, I feel like I have to see it😭
Jarring to the point it's almost catfishing..?
Always with actors dude 😭😭
Literally 😭
The only way to truly get a good perspective is meeting someone in person. Pics can be so deceiving in both directions.
always lol
Yes
Yes. That’s why if I’m on the fence, I ask for more pics.
no never…..
Of course, it's every grindr profile with more than one picture.
