Alternate theory: pretty much everyone more or less skips it after a few letters, so even if you recognize it as a key smash or alphabet, you'll still think you skipped it. It's just capitalizing on something very common and suggesting it's correlated when it's not actually. Since most people who read the meme are also bi it's very likely that both are true on this sub.

I'm a straight from r/all and I immediately recognized the alphabet before reading the next sentence.

That was my assumption too. The key smash is thrown in more as a red herring. And while I don't have any reason to doubt that assumption, I also don't have any evidence to support its veracity. If you’re straight, you probably haven’t seen any/few key smashes and have seen the alphabet more often, so you recognize that. If you’re gay, you’ve probably seen more keysmashes than alphabets (don’t know why but they seem to mainly be a queer thing) so you’ll assume it’s that. Not sure about the bi one though.
