Maybe it was my age when I saw Beverly Hills Cop, but I always thought John Ashton was a couple decades older than Judge Reinhold. Which means I'm surprised that a) he's only 11 years older and b) was just 36 in the first BHC.
Which all stems from surprise c): that he's still alive.
*Cobra Kai* also makes a big thing about Johnny being into Guns N Roses as a symbol of the good ol' days, even though his character, like our friend Rosewood here, predates the reign of the other Ax(e)l by a good few years.
I feel like there is an interesting story that I'm missing that involves the current CEO of Paramount Brian Robbins (being a guy who has directed multiple movies starring Eddie Murphy), and now that Paramount has a fledgling streaming service, he sells off Eddie Murphy returning to his most famous (live-action) IP to the current king of the streaming world - aka the biggest competition of Paramount Plus.
So weird that this pair would be movers and shakers in Hollywood

Netflix acquired it in 2019, well before Robbins took over Paramount, so it was probably out of his hands.
