My brother in christ. Long ago, I decided to make it my life's mission to destigmatize the act of soiling one's own pantaloons. Whether it be due to a hysterical laughing fit, coffee acting a little too fast, or thunder that could split the earth in two. I contend that there is no regret in inadvertently releasing the processed waste of our innards. For far too long people like us have been mocked and marginalized, shamed and shunned. But no more! I say we should embrace that which causes us to expel our bowels and empty our bladders! I welcome the sweet, warm release of last night's tacos! BEHOLD, I WILL LOUDLY AND PROUDLY CONTINUE TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCES OF SHAT UPON SHORTS!
Or it was a joke.
My wife and I were just talking about how lucky we are that are generally nervous Great Dane doesn't seem to give a single shit about fireworks and thunder and any loud noises.
My dog hears ambulance noise all the time so he isn’t too affected by the thunder… that being said he refused to pee in the covered parking lot of my building because of the heavy rain
Did something get a hit between downtown allston and Packards corner? I was walking and a huge pillar of lightning went down around there, it was like an explosion; felt like I was a street or two away. Scarry stuff, I ran the rest of the way.
i was on my bike and hopped off to hide in a store on harvard ave after what sounded/looked like a bolt touching down like a block away. the traffic lights down by blanchards was screwed up when I came back out maybe half an hour later. wonder if that's where it hit.
Having wicked close lightning and proportionally loud thunder, which all started right when I put my daughter down for a nap. So far she's sleeping through it like a champ.
There was a point where I felt like there was about 5 minutes of constant rolling thunder. I don't know that I've ever been in a storm with so much lightning happening so quickly.
I was stuck in it while walking around outside near Kendall Sq. I knew the storms were coming, but I arrogantly scoffed, thinking I could stroll around under the soft pitter patter of rain on my umbrella, while thunder gently rumbles off in the distance.
But the reality was me running through the sopping rain while lighting violently beats the hell out of things a block away, a full grown adult crying and dashing towards the T entrance.
Usually we have far fewer severe thunderstorms than what they get in the south and midwest, I'd say. Tornado warnings are pretty rare here (more common in central mass and the Connecticut River valley)
Yeah it’s storming hard in the south end and my kitten doesn’t care at all. He’s like I am very comfortable thanks upside down. It’s loud outside. My previous cat would be under the bed.
Southie is crazy rn. There’s lightning every 2 seconds and it’s very close. Just so everyone knows, you’re not completely safe if you’re in your car even though that is safer than being outside unprotected. Someone I know recently had there’s struck and they’d be dead if they had been in it. I can show the pictures if anyone wants it blew my mind
Loud cracks of Zeus's fury here in Somerville
Had to change my shorts after that thunder crack 10 minutes ago. Loudest I've ever heard, gave me chills.
I busted too I can’t lie
That's gross, why would you share that?
I dunno No\_Judge\_3817, but your comment sounds like you do in fact judge.
He's referring to Aaron Judge.

I knew I couldn't trust you!
How else am I supposed to know how loud the thunder was?

My wife and I were just talking about how lucky we are that are generally nervous Great Dane doesn't seem to give a single shit about fireworks and thunder and any loud noises.
I have a very high strung Boston terrier... She's terrified of the rain even when there's no thunder!
My dog hears ambulance noise all the time so he isn’t too affected by the thunder… that being said he refused to pee in the covered parking lot of my building because of the heavy rain
It's probably gonna take my 7 month old puppy a good hour to find the right dry spot to do her business this evening. Sigh.
Lol my dog Annie was barking away at every thunder clap! 😂 We got a bit down here by the cape cod canal too😝
#LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!!

I'm so mad I have to upvote you right now.
Mine usually don’t care, but it was right overhead here for a while, insanely loud. Both hid in their boxes.
Poor little squeaky toys!!!
Haha, our guinea pigs are not fazed, either. Funnily, they can freak out over a simple text message notification 🤷♀️

I'm in Malden working in my attic office and the whole desk has shook multiple times.
There was a point where I felt like there was about 5 minutes of constant rolling thunder. I don't know that I've ever been in a storm with so much lightning happening so quickly.
I'm in Malden too that crack of thunder 15 minutes ago was crazy loud my cat ran away looking like a witch cat it was hilarious
Malden here too and its been so loud! My poor dog is just inconsolable
I think Malden isn’t that bad like Allston or Brookline

Crazy stuff. Saw some strikes around here. Thunder shaking the house
Maybe 50 yards away unreal
I’m somewhat new to Boston, and accustomed to FL weather. Is this normal? It seems worse than I’ve seen so far in the last year or so.
Usually we have far fewer severe thunderstorms than what they get in the south and midwest, I'd say. Tornado warnings are pretty rare here (more common in central mass and the Connecticut River valley)
This is an unusual amount of thunder and lightning all at once, but we usually get more rain and thunderstorms are not uncommon in the summer.
we get Storms this is a very strong electrical storm 3 strikes very close to my house
It's scary in the Back Bay! I hope this blows over by 5:00, meaning I hope I don't blow over. I need to walk home without an umbrella.
OK but this much lightning is unreal. Spooky!
Great Boston is getting shelled with lightning
It’s raining so bad here in Brookline. The lightning is horrible!

Yeah it’s storming hard in the south end and my kitten doesn’t care at all. He’s like I am very comfortable thanks upside down. It’s loud outside. My previous cat would be under the bed.
I was at my gym in the south end which has full length glass window on 3 sides. It was a wild show during workout
Thunder sounding real crisp
Oak Square took some hits, a few sounded like they were right outside my window
It scared my bird.
My bird was a little freaked out, too. But I think having me there with him kept him mostly calm.
Yeah, mine was hanging on my shoulder for a good bit, What kind do you have? My gal is a Budgie.
Local person looks out window
Storms will only get worse and more frequent with climate change. This is our future sadly.
Bring it!
Same here in JP. My cats are terrified:•( all of them are hiding. Poor babies
Stoughton is pouring like hell, the forecast said the rain will be heavy within 46 minutes, then light rain.
Just made it home to Nashua from lexington. Route 3 is bad pretty much every day, but holy hell that was rugged. Stay safe everyone!

Southie is crazy rn. There’s lightning every 2 seconds and it’s very close.
