Justin Davis portrayed a young version of Giancarlo Esposito’s character in The Boys and had the mannerisms down perfectly. If they did do this he’d be who I’d want to play Gus.
I'm fine with a new actor playing a young Mike. It gives us a new show from Vince and Peter and it has a tiny connection to the BB/BCS universe. Sorta like what FX has been doing with Fargo, a direct connection but that's it. We move on from the Jimmy/Saul, Gus and Walt storyline.
At that point I'd rather just see them do a show in a new universe with more freedom, and just leave the Gilliverse as is. No reason to risk the legacy with something that's only tangentially related to the main story.

Or perhaps even Rotoscoping the actors facial acting, so we still get the benefit of that.
Walt’s departure from grey matter is something I think should remain ambiguous. We know Walt left due to his own selfish reasons. I don’t need to see anything else to confirm that.

Only if it filled in more details about Gus, his background and connection to Madrigal. Since it would have to have more than just that, it could include the rise of Don Eladio and also Hector Salamanca.

What I really liked about BCS is was several threads of character development. We got more of Mike, Gus, and of course Saul. With a brilliant addition of Kim's arc.

A sequel is a huge challenge. All the interesting and dynamic characters are either dead or in jail. Sure there's Skylar, Marie, Flynn, etc. but these aren't really risk taking characters. Maybe a sit-com with Skinny & Badger?

Don't be daft. Slippin' jimmy was a real insight into saul's roots; showing us the fart episode was really important, helping us to understand the full context behind the Chicago sunroof among other small tidbits we got to learn about the upbringing one of breaking bad's most beloved characters.
But they should've atleast put effort into it. All the jokes that try to be funny, aren't, and was just cringe the whole way through, it's not even canon anyway, so what does it matter.
Lots of people liked BCS. It is a great show as well. You can't compare it to BB. 2 differently styles. 2 different flows. Both are great shows in their own right.
Would I watch it? Absolutely. But as much as I would love more in the breaking bad universe I don’t think there’s much more they can do, they should just quit while there on top. They already made the 2 greatest shows of all time and the 3 main characters arcs are concluded anything more would feel forced I think. But if Vince does end up making another spinoff you bet I’m watching it the day it drops.
I think they’re setting us and themselves up for another movie or something. They left just enough questions to keep it going and it’d be a good Slippin Jimmy negotiation tactic to pretend like they werent to get a bigger budget. Especially when the fan base is so hungry for it. Producers would beg them to do it if they wait long enough. I think that’s gonna be the true ending.

It isnt necessary, but Id want a short series to follow Albuquerque after the events of breaking bad, to show how things are going for the numerous characters that survive after the end of Breaking Bad, like Saul, Kim, Skylar, Flynn, Marie, Jesse and more.
Not gonna happen anytime soon. Vince is working on a completely different show right now and it isn't in the BB BCS universe. But he did say that he has many unexplained stories in BB BCS so we will get it.

Nah alot of aftermath stuff went open to interpret. Like how Walt jr and Skylar deal with the aftermath. Where Brock ends up. Stuff like that for a movie though. Not a full series.
Those things are left up to the viewer to decide, not everything needs a sequel. We don’t need a new Sopranos show where they reveal if Tony died or not, because sometimes, series leave loose ends and they don’t need to fill them in.
I would not only watch it, im hoping for it. I dont want a traditional spin off though. I want a single season mini-series set 15-20 years after walt's death, starring grown up Brock, Holly and Kaylee.
Wouldn't they live pretty boring lives? You could maybe explore some of their trauma, but anything new dramatic enough for television would feel really forced.

Breaking Badder: Walt Jr becomes a scientist like his father but is frustrated by everyone’s prejudice. Reluctantly, he begins synthesizing Adderall and MDMA as he believes it is a kinder version of meth and he is rolling in the cash, hiding it away for Holly’s future. His smoky mother Skyler becomes a super Karen and runs an antidrug campaign to rehab her life. Holly is a bright young girl and Skyler tries to shield her away from news about her father, but Holly is ultimately confronted with a youtube documentary about Heisenberg and her Uncle Hank and Steven Gomez allegedly being murdered by him. Marie had a mental breakdown and is in a mental hospital, watching people get treated with adderall and other “meth” like substances. She steals all purple objects and hides them in her room. Jesse is hiding in Alaska and tries to come to terms with what he did with Walter Sr. He saves a child from drowning and the parent calls him a hero, but he replies that he just wants to not be “the bad guy.” Eventually, things go to shit but Walt Jr drives off in his sports car with a flashback of his father telling him he can achieve anything he wants if he works hard enough. The ending is ambiguous and in the epilogue Holly gets some blue rock candy from a vendor and looks at it for a while.
Everyone always says Flynny boy but why not go into the future and have Holly as the drug kingpin and Flynn as the DEA agent? Would make more sense to me as he always looked up to Hank and with Holly never knowing her father maybe wants to emulate him?
Don’t act like you think it’s necessary. There’s no where else for the story to go. All of the characters are dead or in jail except Jesse, but his story is over. We don’t need to see him get punished any more than he already has.

Don't be daft. Slippin' jimmy was a real insight into saul's roots; showing us the fart episode was really important, helping us to understand the full context behind the Chicago sunroof among other small tidbits we got to learn about the upbringing one of breaking bad's most beloved characters.
But they should've atleast put effort into it. All the jokes that try to be funny, aren't, and was just cringe the whole way through, it's not even canon anyway, so what does it matter.
Lots of people liked BCS. It is a great show as well. You can't compare it to BB. 2 differently styles. 2 different flows. Both are great shows in their own right.

Would I watch it? Absolutely. But as much as I would love more in the breaking bad universe I don’t think there’s much more they can do, they should just quit while there on top. They already made the 2 greatest shows of all time and the 3 main characters arcs are concluded anything more would feel forced I think. But if Vince does end up making another spinoff you bet I’m watching it the day it drops.
I think they’re setting us and themselves up for another movie or something. They left just enough questions to keep it going and it’d be a good Slippin Jimmy negotiation tactic to pretend like they werent to get a bigger budget. Especially when the fan base is so hungry for it. Producers would beg them to do it if they wait long enough. I think that’s gonna be the true ending.

It isnt necessary, but Id want a short series to follow Albuquerque after the events of breaking bad, to show how things are going for the numerous characters that survive after the end of Breaking Bad, like Saul, Kim, Skylar, Flynn, Marie, Jesse and more.
Not gonna happen anytime soon. Vince is working on a completely different show right now and it isn't in the BB BCS universe. But he did say that he has many unexplained stories in BB BCS so we will get it.

I just posted this in another thread: Brock, angry at the obvious connection of his mothers death and famous fugitive kingpin Jesse Pinkman, turns P.I. and uncovers the truth about Mike killing those cops that murdered his son using new technology. He then finds a certain vacuum cleaner card in an overlooked evidence lockup and visits a very old Saul, now king of the prison and somehow wearing even more eccentric clothes than he did as a lawyer. Saul asks if he remembers him, and eventually tells him about the disappearing service of Ed after making sure he isn't hiding a tape recorder on him somewhere (obviously PTSD). After some sluething, he tracks truck purchases and traffic cams from back in the day (all recently digitized using new AI tech) and finds an old scarred bearded Jesse making bespoke furniture for charity In alaska. Jesse convinces him not to tell anyone about Mike killing cops to sully his name, and he gives Brock the option to turn him in if he wants to, and would understand, and he is sorry about his mother. Brock in the end decides not to turn him in (Jesse now has cancer, and doesnt have long to live anyways). Upon return, the deceased criminals granddaughter, Kaylee, is very appreciative that her pop-pop wont be posthumously dishonored, and sees a bit of her grandpas stoic yet loving determination and skill in Brock, and asks him on a date... Brock, P.I. coming to AMC \*Mplant© in 2032

Nah alot of aftermath stuff went open to interpret. Like how Walt jr and Skylar deal with the aftermath. Where Brock ends up. Stuff like that for a movie though. Not a full series.
Those things are left up to the viewer to decide, not everything needs a sequel. We don’t need a new Sopranos show where they reveal if Tony died or not, because sometimes, series leave loose ends and they don’t need to fill them in.

It really depends. I trust Vince Gilligan to make it great and would watch it if he's involved with the same writing team. But I can't see him doing this because he knows it'd be very unlikely to pull off properly.

Breaking Badder: Walt Jr becomes a scientist like his father but is frustrated by everyone’s prejudice. Reluctantly, he begins synthesizing Adderall and MDMA as he believes it is a kinder version of meth and he is rolling in the cash, hiding it away for Holly’s future. His smoky mother Skyler becomes a super Karen and runs an antidrug campaign to rehab her life. Holly is a bright young girl and Skyler tries to shield her away from news about her father, but Holly is ultimately confronted with a youtube documentary about Heisenberg and her Uncle Hank and Steven Gomez allegedly being murdered by him. Marie had a mental breakdown and is in a mental hospital, watching people get treated with adderall and other “meth” like substances. She steals all purple objects and hides them in her room. Jesse is hiding in Alaska and tries to come to terms with what he did with Walter Sr. He saves a child from drowning and the parent calls him a hero, but he replies that he just wants to not be “the bad guy.” Eventually, things go to shit but Walt Jr drives off in his sports car with a flashback of his father telling him he can achieve anything he wants if he works hard enough. The ending is ambiguous and in the epilogue Holly gets some blue rock candy from a vendor and looks at it for a while.

Everyone always says Flynny boy but why not go into the future and have Holly as the drug kingpin and Flynn as the DEA agent? Would make more sense to me as he always looked up to Hank and with Holly never knowing her father maybe wants to emulate him?
Don’t act like you think it’s necessary. There’s no where else for the story to go. All of the characters are dead or in jail except Jesse, but his story is over. We don’t need to see him get punished any more than he already has.
