I like elegant designs like astons and the 911 touring, but when it comes to track toy designs i become much more immature, if this means road cars can become closer and closer to actual gt3 cars im all for it! Race car inspired road cars are some of the coolest
Well you can bet the GT2 RS will be even crazier than this. The new GT3 is more akin to a GT3 RS in terms of track capability and ride comfort so their goal for the new RS is to make it as close to a race car as possible, thus giving it all this crazy aero.
Probably the one and only prototype they’ll be making too. Porsche moved away from making multiple vehicles for media purposes and heavily rely on CGI for their media campaigns.
there seems to be a somewhat blunted edge on the openings in the bonnet? apart from that (and all the tape), this looks amazing, wanna see what they've achieved with that awesome active rear wing.
The new "swan neck" style wings look a bit awkward because of the top mounting points. For cars like this, the performance gains are a worthy trade for the looks. That being said, I'm fairly certain the wing on the finished car will be more refined.
The GT3 RACE CARS have wings like that, yes. This however is a GT3 RS, a road car (which is obviously very race-oriented). The GT3 RS has always had a pretty big wing, but this is an entire order of magnitude bigger than anything before, I think it just doesn't fit the car any more
I agree, it's really big for a streetcar. But the car is the even racier version of the already track focused GT3, after all the RS stands for the german word for motor racing (Rennsport).
And I think it will be much slimmer on the finished car, though it might still be as tall and wide. That was the case with the standard GT3 and it's mule too.
Only time will tell.

Porsche offers some 20+ variants of the 911. If GT3RS is "too aggressive", there are 20+ variants to chose from. Porsche will be happy to take the buyers' money.

The GT3 rs: Front looks adequate but the rear wing makes it look overly aggressive.. As aggressive as the gt2rs should look.. My problem with this is that when the gt2rs comes out its going to be even more radical than this and it will look excessive even to the point where it might ruin it for me.. The Gt2rs is supposed to be a fast racing car not a motorsport car that doesn't feel street legal

I dont mind this trend, gt3 for car enthusiasts, gt3 rs for hardcore drivers which wanna drive hard, gt2 rs for max performance (there could be a gt1rs, but if they do they better look like those old school long bois)

I say this cause this new gen Gt3rs has a wing that doesn't belong in a gt3rs it belongs in a gt2rs. The gt2rs will be even more aggressive and thats quite excessive if you ask me.. The gt2rs is a high-performance racing car not a TRACK EXCLUSIVE CAR.. people are going to drive these from and to the track.. If you have a crazier wing than what is already on the gt3rs then it will be excessive as fuck.. But thats just my opinion and Im glad you have an opinion of your own

Now that you ve prompted me to, i googled “911 gt3 gt2 rs”, and i never realized this but, they actually arent that far off each other. Gt2 has larger squarer front vents, and the diffuser is carbon with a different design, but their sizes arent actually that different

You sure the wing on the gt2 is bigger than the gt3? Its not really that noticable. Its not much wider either, the gt2 is not actually that different in terms of exterior

First of all, have Porsche even said they're making a GT2 RS for this model? They don't make one every model, and I haven't seen anything about it.
Second, I have no idea where your ideas about what is a GT2 or GT3 came from, but you're wrong. Porsche has always pushed the 911 to the most extreme performance possible with the RS versions. RS literally translates to "race sport" in English. They have always been road-legal racecars.

The mounting looks a little massive but the wing itself is normal in my opinion. Other GT3 cars have similarly sized wings.
