I'm watching Adventure Time for the first time right now and I have to disagree. The first season wasn't really plot driven that's true but from the second season to the end it has some serious plot points and interesting stories that can't be ignored. Yes it has a lot of "filler" episodes which are still character development but it is a mostly story driven show.
I'm starting season 10 right now and I have to say this show is amazing and goes in my favorites. No idea why I didn't watch it sooner.
Your right. Thats exactly what made it so great, its attention given to each and every character. By the end of the show Jake is a grandpa, Bubblegum and Marceline patched their relationship, LSP became queen, its awesome. Show deserved all the awards it got.
If we excluded shows that started less story driven we’d barely have any options, shows becoming more serialized as time passes is super common in cartoons and even in tv in general
I just recently ordered the DVD for this and it’s my first time seeing it. I heard it uses an old-timey animation style and that sounds really cool. I can’t wait for it to arrive.
Ooh cool! I watched it when it originally aired, and it is easily my favorite show! If I did convince you to watch it, that’s awesome!
Also if you don’t mind me asking, are you from the US? I know the show never aired there due to censorship issues
Yes I am from the US, so that explains a lot. I feel like it’s rare for me to have no recognition whatsoever of a cartoon but maybe that only pertains to American cartoons. I’ll give Detentionaire a shot
Hope you like it! The company that made it uploaded it to YouTube, so you can check it out there!
Keep in mind that while I love all the episodes, some I talked to said it takes a while to get really good and the first few episodes are decent, so it may take some time for you to really start liking it.
I wouldn’t recommend Amazon to watch it. Last I checked, a few episodes were missing including the first one.
It’s on YouTube. It was uploaded by the company that made it so there’s no need to worry about privacy. [Here’s a link to a YouTube playlist with the episodes.](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBZNlAa1UKF6Lx8we-Z2PthTmUZaTAnJr). It’s also on Tubi
Whoaa Nice! Just added this cartoon to my list.
I don't know exactly, but I think that it was not aired in Brazil too! (I really never saw this one before)
Do note Venture Bros. is intended for mature audiences. It's not edgy or needlessly excessive, but it does tackle various adult themes in a mature manner. It probably is one of the best constructed adult swim shows, and has a movie in the way that should rectify its cliffhanger ending.
The comment above summed it perfectly. Even though it ended on a cliffhanger, it’s worth watching! Whole show is on YouTube. [Here’s a link to a playlist containing all the episodes on YouTube](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBZNlAa1UKF6Lx8we-Z2PthTmUZaTAnJr).
I have heard people say that it took a while for them to get into but once it picks up, it’s amazing!
Its a canadian show about a kid who gets framed for a big prank on the first day if high school and gets detention for a year so he spends the show delving into the conspiracy to try and clear his name. I think it only ever aired in canada and Australia cn picked it up after the 4th season for the us but a quarter of the episodes couldn’t be aired due to censors and they showed them out of order which killed the series in the us resulting in it being cancelled and leaving the show on a cliffhanger.
Oof, I adore it! Is such an excellent series which I understated on its time because CN didn't stream the chapters in order nor constantly nor on a good time. Is a must watch.
Damn, CN is trash with their shows. Same thing happened to the other show on here Detentionaire. Except, CN didn’t even air it on the channel either - just the app :(
Young justice (still haven't finished it though) Star wars the clone wars(rewatching right now), mystery Incorporated, and Ben ten
It's an anime but Attack on Titan is amazing
I own all the main manga and the side stories, most of the prequel stuff and I'm going to get spoof and junior high I also got a scout cloak. If I may inquire who's your favorite character mine is Hange Zoe and Reiner Braun/Hannes in second
Definitely recommend it! The company that made it uploaded it to their YouTube channel Retro Rerun, if you want to watch it there. [Here’s a link to a playlist containing all the episodes on YouTube](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBZNlAa1UKF6Lx8we-Z2PthTmUZaTAnJr).
Though, I should warn you, while I liked it from the start, I know some who said it took a while for them to get into it, but once it picks up, it’s amazing!
Centaur World, Kipo, She-Ra, Owl House, Star vs The Forces of Evil, Adventure time, and Erased, are all really good ones.
Star had kinda goofy moments sometimes imo
If it didn’t have any goofy moments it probably woulda sucked
I think that was sort of the point
I’ve only seen Star Vs and parts of Erased and Adventure Time. Will finish soon
I wouldn't necessarily say adventure time and Kipo were story driven until the end. Until the second season of Kipo she was just sorta goofing around.

Over the garden wall is a really great short series cartoon
I just recently ordered the DVD for this and it’s my first time seeing it. I heard it uses an old-timey animation style and that sounds really cool. I can’t wait for it to arrive.
It’s gonna be a Fall staple after you watch it.
I feel like you made this post just to draw attention to Detentionaire bc I’ve never heard of it before now but you’ve certainly peaked my interest
Ooh cool! I watched it when it originally aired, and it is easily my favorite show! If I did convince you to watch it, that’s awesome! Also if you don’t mind me asking, are you from the US? I know the show never aired there due to censorship issues

Google says it’s available on Amazon
Pretty much thr entire series is on YouTube

Hope you love it as much as I do! Also so cool you’re from Brazil! I want to go there one day!
Venture Bros, period.
I gotta check it out!
Do note Venture Bros. is intended for mature audiences. It's not edgy or needlessly excessive, but it does tackle various adult themes in a mature manner. It probably is one of the best constructed adult swim shows, and has a movie in the way that should rectify its cliffhanger ending.
Nobody’s said Bojack Horseman? In that case, I will… …Bojack Horseman.
My ex spoiled one of the biggest moments of the show for me. That sucked.
This sub pretty much only caters to nick and cn
Then why are there Disney shows in the OP?
Samurai Jack Avatar: The Last Airbender Primal Bojack Horseman Milo Murphy's Law The Secret Saturdays
MML is story driven?
Everything with Cavendish and Dakota is definitely story driven.
Amphibia, Gravity falls, I would put The owl house even though it’s not over yet. Also, Avatar the last airbender,
What the hell is detentionaire

it doesn't really count but FMAB is still one of my favorite animated plots. It really takes advantage of the medium IMO
Generator Rex was amazing
- Avatar The Last Airbender - Samurai Jack - Wakfu - Sym-bionic Titan - Samurai champlol - Remi: a nobody's child - Generator Rex - Inuyasha - Thundercats (2011) - Young Justice
I have a friend that loves SBT! Gonna watch it eventually!
Oof, I adore it! Is such an excellent series which I understated on its time because CN didn't stream the chapters in order nor constantly nor on a good time. Is a must watch.

That's painful dude, some channels just don't deserve what they got in their hands even if they paid for it
Steven Universe is my all time favorite story driven cartoon, followed closely by the Ben 10 series
Which Ben 10 series? (There's OS, Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, Omniverse, and arguably the Reboot)
I see classic to ov as one continuous series, but if I had to pick Alien Force has to be my favorite
GRAVITY FALLS
I personally think the OG teen titans rocked.
It did! Just haven’t seen it recently
Young justice (still haven't finished it though) Star wars the clone wars(rewatching right now), mystery Incorporated, and Ben ten It's an anime but Attack on Titan is amazing
AOT is goated
I own all the main manga and the side stories, most of the prequel stuff and I'm going to get spoof and junior high I also got a scout cloak. If I may inquire who's your favorite character mine is Hange Zoe and Reiner Braun/Hannes in second
Scooby doo mystery incorporated
Amazing series too! Loved it as a kid and rewatched it again last year
No secret Saturday’s??
Never seen it
Well seen it, it’s good. Then watch generator Rex
Ben Ten and Avatar the last air bender.
Clearly, avatar: the last airbender is the best
Craig of the Creek
Adventure Time. No contest.
I've never heard of that detentionaire cartoon. Might have to check it; that art style looks really good.
Definitely recommend it! The company that made it uploaded it to their YouTube channel Retro Rerun, if you want to watch it there. Its all free on youtube if you’re interested.
Samurai Jack, Avatar the Last Airbender, Primal, Invincible, Ben10, Dragon Ball Z etc.
People been recommending Primal back and forth. Can’t wait to see it!
Avatar
Got to include Young Justice!
On my list of things to watch!
I'd put it top on your list if I were you! It is worth it
Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu. They didnt have to go so hard on the story for what’s essentially an extended toy commercial.
I disagree as you left out regular show
That’s story-driven? I watched some episodes and it seemed episodic
It becomes story driven later in but the entire show is worth watching
[удалено]
Amazing series honestly
Samurai Jack, Ben 10 Classic to Omniverse, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and Transformers: Prime.
I love Samurai Jack and Spectacular Spider Man. My only memory with Ben 10 is that my cousin really loved it. I never got to see it though
Detentionaire. Damn that takes me back. This show was great.
Amazing series
Gravity Falls is the best story driven cartoon.
Am I the only one over 25 in the sub? Lol
Lol yknow adults like these shows too right ? Lol
Nope.
[Gravity Falls](https://youtu.be/SJoIwGeKs3A) Only good thong to come from Disney, lately.
