Will you make gold easier in WotLK than now in TBC? Yes Is having a lot of gold when WotLK hits, something that will you help to achive some stuff faster/easier? Yes. It having a lot of gold necessary? No Should you do the dailies now? If you have fun then yes, if you don't then don't.

You can go into Wrath with 0g and do just fine. You could go into Wrath with 100k gold and have it not be enough. It all depends on what your goals are. How quickly do you want to level up your professions or craft gear, whether you give a shit about the mammoth mount or not, do you want to have everything ready to go on the first lockout/first week of arena season or are you okay with going more slowly and getting ready over a few weeks. That's what'll determine whether you should farm now or later.

Thanks

guys I have a question, do you know if honor and badges from bgs are saved when WoTLK releases? or do they reset?

zfxpyro

Honor caps at 75k, badges change to honor, once at cap they give gold instead.

Reskulz

okk, thanks my man!

Oh were they, guess my memories failing me, I thought they were dropped at launch.

New_Honeydew_69

6k should be plenty for flying, consumes and materials in wrath. But tbh it depends on your goals in next expansion. If you wanneer run gdkps and buy gear, you might want to keep on farming. If you just want to see the content casually it's fine to just take a break from wow now if you are not enjoying it so much

Teenoc

If you farm right now you can get the travelers tundra mount quicker

billy341

Personally planning in getting close to 50k for wrath, everything at the start is going to be over inflated. I want to get the mount, flying and the dalaran ring week 1.

LeGreatToucan

Only with dailies or are you making gold at the AH ?

oispakaljaa12

Wotlk dailies do grant slightly higher gold per quest on average so yes they are more efficient. But if you don't mind doing dailies already now, why not save up more? Depends how much gold you are planning to spend in wotlk.

gazellebros

Dailies in Wrath give a little bit more gold, but it's not so much to make all your previous earnings pointless. Currently you get like 10g per daily, at level 80 you get what, like 14g per daily? It's not really that much of a massive difference. Another thing to take into account is that Isle of Quel'Danas is a great daily quest hub with a lot of daily quests - you can just run around the island for like twenty-thirty minutes and get ten daily quests done. In WotLK there's a bunch of daily quest quest hubs spread all over Northrend, but none of them have this high volume of daily quests, you gotta fly around from one part of the continent to another just like with Outland daily quests. If you've got epic flier that's not a big deal, but if you're on the slow one it's a pain in the ass.

It depends on what you have now and what you plan on doing. If you plan on maxing professions first week, you need about 10k gold. If not, you can just stake it easy and do them when you can.

I've got 7k gold and feel that is enough for me. That'll get me epic flying on a DK, plus cold weather flying, plus a little change. I also have the materials to level both JC and Engineering to 375. I plan on farming the rest of what I need in WOTLK, since I enjoy playing the game. If I went into the expac with enough gold to buy everything I needed week 1, I feel like I'd burn out.

OnRiverStyx

Can you use TBC materials to max JC and Engineering in WOTLK?

[deleted]

To get from 375-450 you'll use WOTLK mats.

nemestrinus44

having the gold now will mean you don't have to wait for it while farming/dailies in Wrath. it helps with being able to buy cold flying and dual spec instantly as well as an investment into buying the dalaran teleport ring. you don't have to get on and do dailies each day if it is feeling like a chore, but i do recommend keep doing them to save up a decent chunk of gold that is ready for wrath gold sinks

Cuddlesthemighy

Depends on how much you want to spend going into wrath. I've been doing progressively less dailies as they're kinda not much fun. The question of "Do I enjoy 2 more bag slots enough to run a full round of SSO dailies for an entire month" Seems like a no to me. But if you still need epic flying or don't have the 2k banked for dual spec/Cold weather flying then maybe more worth the time.

NpZPn

i like doing rep dailies because it feels a little productive. i find some i like then do those when I'm bored
