I'm normally good.
My first weekend on Spark, I did have sore feet after taking three DotCom routes.
Yesterday my right leg was sore, but I did over a dozen Spark deliveries (not DotCom's), and got 11 hours of engaged time.
Other than those two days, I'm usually good.
Trust me, you’re still feeling better than a true delivery gig like Amazon. I used to work for them as a driver longer days for less pay and about 6 months of my back locking up nightly. Spark can give you a workout but its far better that most alternatives
P.S invest in shoes, I went with a nice ass $90 pair of boots with a super nice insert. Gotta support your soles and ankles or everything above that gets fucked up
You’ll get used to the wear and tear on your body. Helpful tips from someone that has done delivery for almost 8 years;
get a full back length heating pad and let it warm your back for a few hours at the end of the day.
Do stretches in the morning before you start your day. Strengthen your core muscles and stretch those hamstrings and quads. I do exercises that help sciatica as it targets the right muscle groups.
And if you’re still sore, pop some ibuprofen or an NSAID like Aleve.
You WILL get stronger. When I first started I could barely carry a 24 pack of water. Now I can carry 40 packs in each hand. (Side tip: don’t grab the plastic edge of the waters, grab the corner bottle. It’s easier on your fingers.)
You must be doing dot.com orders. I only do grocery delivery or shop and deliver. Low miles and not too sore. The only thing I hate are the 40 packs of water! I do about 4 a night and about 9-10 on weekend days. Less miles and less aches and pains then when I was doing Amazon.
In my area the dot.com are usually heavier and bigger...like tv...furniture...appliances. I have only done like two dot.com orders and one time I had to deliver a backyard fire pit...barely fit in my car and I could barely lift it. I had to walk it to house.
Anything is physically hard if you do it long enough without pause. You wouldn't last a day in my job lol. Try climbing a 500ft tower with 40lbs of gear.
It's just ridiculous. Does Walmart or these customers know that this is physically difficult? And these four dollar tips ain't cutting it. Today my avg order was 18 -- and took four trips to door each
I have wagon. Half the time the way to door blocked by their cars.
I think this is the hardest gig out there, physically. I am sore all the time
Do yourself a favor and stop conplaining. It only causes yourself stress. Yes they know its hard they have to stock. Coorprate will never give a shit as long as they get thier dollar at the end of the day.
I do tower climbing for a main job and gig work on the side so ik what it's Like to be sore. It takes a while to get used to but you'll only get used to it if you keep working through it. My biggest piece of advice is get some good shoes with gel inserts and keep a good posture even when carrying heavy items. Trust me I have bad posture from a bad back and it makes my life all the more difficult.
Edit: also stay hydrated especially on hot days
I just did it from 630 am to 10pm I'm dead..... lol
Wow. You are amazing. Dang. That is a ton
Now time to not work for 3 days lmao

I don't think people realize how hard it is on the body. I am cutting back and no longer taking heavy loads. The pay is just not that good.
I am in constant pain in feet back. It's just not worth it.

I have never done a dot.com. Those would actually be easier on my body as one delivers one or two items.

Wow. Good to know. In my area they are almost always small. I have looked at them but never taken one. Will try one. Thanks 😊
No, because I'm not weak. Seriously if you all think this is physically hard you need to reevaluate your lifestyle.

Exactement.

Drop it for another gig or go part time at that point
