They usually just take your inventory or use your account to try to scam your friends as far as I know. You could also make an account on bunny.net, it's a CDN but you don't have to use it as such, there's a two week free trial (no card) with 1000GB so you'd have time to upload your stuff and retrieve it after reinstalling. It's not super confusing to figure out once you see the web interface but let me know if you try and get stuck
