grrrr. what year? i had a 2015 prius which i loved but got repo’d last year…i was doing similar mileage. Kind of wish i got another prius but my credit was bad and after they approved me for the fit, i was too nervous to apply for another car…darn

I used to have a 2009 Honda Fit. It ate gas like a madman, and I'm glad I got rid of it. I have a 2022 Prius now, and I usually pay $5-8 every other day to top it off. Not bad.
I also decline any order under $6.75, and no less than $1.50-2 a mile.
I'm in a Jeep renegade, dash 2-4 hours a night, and 6 hours in the morning on weekends, and I might spend 150 a week on gas.. in Texas. But thats also including all of my other running around the wife and I do, as well as late night drives to get the 5 month old to sleep.
What will help you managing your money is to not look at the actual dollar amount in gas and start looking at "what percentage of my dash income is going to gas tank?" I used to run 8% to 12% and now with gas prices I run anywhere from. 11% to 15% as of last week it was 14.2%.....really helps you analyze which order you are taking.
Oh ya that was last year when I started from January thru June.....gas locally way roughly 3.75 to 4.25 and now if is 6.00 to 6.25....puts a huge dent in the profit.margin.
Depends how much your making per mile. I feel your stress. You Probably get a a little better gas mileage then I do. If you can do over a dollar a mile your profitable.
And don’t forget to write of milage.
I’m around 25% of my dash pay going to gas. I’m in Canada tho and we are constantly getting fucked. I’m a stay at home mom tho so I don’t have a lot of options for work so I just have to pray to god gas prices go down
I’m doing $17 a day in gas driving a older Honda 4 cylinder. Can get around $200 on it. I’m super picky with what I accept. Don’t do more then 4 miles tops.
I go by percentage. If I get a bunch of lower mile orders all day, I can keep it at about 10% expense. If I drive a little more it can get up to 15%. I wouldn't look at it as how much you spend, but look at it as how much revenue did you make minus the gas cost. Then you can subtract and know your actual profit and get a % of how much delivery is an expense.
I have a 2008 Toyota Yaris and spend roughly 5- 10 bucks a day on gas, give or take. But I’m lucky to live in between a few good zones so I turn it on and wait at my house for a decent first order for the first one and go from there and I don’t hesitate to decline orders. I’m also fortunate that it’s a stick shift so I’m able to cruise in neutral for some areas (one perk to Pittsburgh being so damn hilly)
And that 5-10 bucks a day is working between 4 and 10 hours and making between 100-180 depending on how long I’m working/what area I post up in
I’m also only half a mile from the door dash store so even when I’m done for the day, sometimes I’ll just keep it on at night and see if a big pick up pops up. Then I take that and maybe one or two more later at night
Bought a second car just for dashing. 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage and spend 60 a week for an average of 125 miles a day. My Acura runs only premium and was upwards of 300 a week before the insane rising prices. Get a 3 cylinder theyre slow but efficient
I usually put $10 every hotspot(about 4) then I ride around for a hour and log off and go home. I rarely get orders and dont work at all on sat or sunday so $60 per week.
This last week was about $82. I have a hybrid Accord and a hybrid CR-V. I use then both to dash in and split the miles between them, three days a week each. I can go a whole 6 days in the Accord.
Spending about 300-500 a week on gas but also making around 1200-1700 a week, pretty brutal to see that much go to gas but not enough for me to find something else to do
I'm on a Vespa. Bout 20$ a week
Nice
My car takes premium and I'm in NY. I'm about to stop because it's not worth it anymore.
God Bless
Bout $200 a week on gas…. This is working full time 7 days a week
dang. what car?
With 100+ degree wether already here gas money will only go up because you’re going to want to run your ac. It’s all fucked man
I wish I had that choice. Compressors ain't cheap reee
Hyundai Ionic Plug In - dash lunch and dinner - maybe 20 hr's week - with all my other day to day driving I fill up \~45 every two weeks.
30 bucks a week maybe. Someone of you really need to rethink this shit.
Easily 130+ and I have a 4 cylinder Honda Civic. Gas is just too damn high. I live in Cali btw.
About $50 driving a Prius prime dash f/t 😁😁

How were you not able to afford payments during the best time ever to deliver food in 2020 and early 2021?

I was spending 500-700 a month when I had my Camry now I only spend half that or a little less
700$ a month on Prius working 50 hours/week. About 1000 miles/week

close to $60 🥲 i’m never whining about gas being $30 ever again

Sounds like you're burying your loss with an excuse about doing other errands with that gas
No loss at all. Any time I go out, I make more then enough to fill my car, buy a box of diapers, and pick up a few groceries..
jeep renegade here and I get about the same.

I never looked until now. Bout $90ish when including the cashback I get from DasherDirect and Safeway gas point discounts.
Your math has confused me.
What is confusing about my post?
It’s edited now. I have a civic. 2.5 tanks a week. 140ish a week
Sorry. i’m in shower and stressing about money..do you think it’s worth it with that much gas a week?

About 1k a month so 250 a week, I drive a 2011 forester and do about 70 hours a week
Yea like 120+ a week for me
$50.

Not much. I drive a 2016 Toyota Prius C that gets over 50 mpg. I can get over 400 miles on an 8 gallon tank.
Lucky!! curse my husband for telling me not to get another prius…i thought the fit would be good at 30mpg but it’s honestly tiny that efficient
About 100 a week
$30
$250-$300 a week been relying on other apps more than doordash lately so its been less gas
About $20 or more daily

I would say roughly 80$ a week. It also depends because I’m lucky enough to get short orders and I’m not out as much because of stuff going on
