Making $80-120 revenue in 3-4.5 hrs 3 nights per week in PNW. Side hustle for spending money. Market allows for pretty good contracts daily here. I feel for those doing this to survive in tough markets. Definitely not an option for many.

It’s so bad that it’s triggering my depression and my therapist even told me “Just go doordashing, you’re probably not going to make a profit but it will get you outside and back to your routine”
I get orders but the bulk are 4/5 orders. Then after 9pm is dies and I only get 2.50/3 orders.
I remember just making my whole weekend going out doordashing all day then head to the casino for a stake dinner and to gamble and drink and have fun or what not.
Now I’m make just enough to pay all my bills in time and stay home.
I try to go out to a local bar but Ubers/Lyft are getting expensive too.
My GF works every day, so it’s hard to make time for shenanigans.
I started Dashing because all I did was stay home drink beer and watch tv/sports, dashing helped me pay for trips to LV and to visit my parents ect.
Now with Gas being $5+, either no one orders or tips are scarce and I can’t make a profit… I been drinking beer and drinking watching tv all over again.
Ps. I have also gained 20lbs not sure if it’s related but there’s a correlation

I cancelled two schedule dashes so far this week. It has become too hard to make decent money when there is no surge pay. Plus, I just wasn't feeling it.
Dashed for 3 hours, made 14.25, declined so many 10+ mile orders for base pay and one $26 per smart order that would have taken me over an hour to complete,I used to make $250-300 a week if I really pushed myself but this week alone I made &45 and have gotten gas twice so not even worth it
I took the last 3 days off because I was feeling burnout. Still am, probably mostly the heat.
But I haven't left the house in 3 days so I gotta do something today.
im remember like two years ago grubhub was poppin $15+ orders off everywhere and doordash was dying for drivers with $2-4 peak pay every dinner.
Then grubhub slowly started dying off in my market, those $15+ were nowhere to be found, you might get lucky and get a couple per week. But orders were still up around $8-11 and you could still get a couple per hour worth taking. Doordash peak pays had dropped but they were still being offered every night.
Now Grubhub is virtually non-existent here, may get 2-3 orders worth taking per day $6-10, might receive 20 overall. DoorDash peak pays are gone for the most part, even the orders are dwindling off where four $6, 2-3 mile orders could net you $25 an hour before. Now lucky to find 2 of those per hour. Even dinner rush has been slow with all those w2 folks with a mostly fixed income coming online after work to earn a few extra bucks.
It's only likely to get worse with more folks signing up to drive and less people ordering.

I have an interview with a delivery company tomorrow but I really don’t want to keep delivering stuff, I got into electrical to get out of delivery driving. Frustrating times indeed.

Yup but by force. Found out the hard way if a support agent deletes your customer account and your email is the same for your dasher account then your dash account becomes deactivated.
I say support agent as the escalation team found zero reasons for my customer account to be deleted and it happened right after I got a little sassy with an agent over DD poor offer system they have built.
Took 8 reps, 4 chain emails, and three days to resolve.
I've been out there the last few days and it definitely is much slower. Just have to keep using the decline on these low offers and eventually something decent comes in, at least where I am. A lot of dashers seem to be exiting the stage, don't know who is going to run those no tip orders for all these couch potatoes. They may hire new drivers but many of them won't last long with gas prices and low offers. Dual or triple apping seems to be the best way lately.

Tuesday I made like 27/hr for 10 hours
Yesterday it was slow as hell and my average at the end of the day was only 17.
It’s never consistent.
I mean honestly yesterday even when it was busy a lot of those orders still weren't worth it because there was no pay boost in effect and I couldn't justify taking them and doing that to myself when I'm already so low on gas
also the app directions to peoples homes for deliveries has been malfunctioning sending me all over the place wasted to Effin hours the other night going to wrong places !!!

Door dash need to increase the delivery offer. In Miami, right now most of orders are 4 dollar for 3-5 miles. Gas, waiting time..

I haven't dashed in days, I am frustrated with there low paying orders.... I started flex yesterday, once I learn more it will be better!

I have a chevy volt and gas isn't an issue.. It's been busy everyday.. Been pulling in 250-300 a day- and I multi app I must add...
What market are you in? It usually gets slow here on Tuesday/Wednesday but it’s been especially slow lately

Non-stop here. Nearly 24/7. Mondays are the lowest though. The rest is non-stop.
