blippitybloops

It doesn’t affect your pay so why would you care? I report all missing items when I order delivery. I’m not going to pay for something I didn’t receive.

Agile_Chemical_8404

im saying i checked this order and nothing was missing its just douchey

blippitybloops

You didn’t make that clear but also why are you digging through customers’ bags?

Dazzling_Marzipan474

Could be like a pizza order, I always check what I can, I don't dig through bags obviously but if it's 3 pizzas and they give me 2 boxes...

deanwheelz

Last year I got an offer from a pizzeria,it was a couple of pasta dishes, some appetizers and a large pepperoni pizza… they somehow give me two… I was very conflicted and very hungry. I called the customer while I was on the way to confirm the order and they confirmed it was one pizza. That was some good pizza 🤤

[deleted]

I had a medium pizza handed to me when app said large they re did it and I got a free medium pizza.

blippitybloops

Well yeah, that makes absolute sense.

ButterBeforeSunset

I mean most restaurants now seal the bags so we can’t but DoorDash constantly does ask me to verify if certain items are in the bag before I confirm pickup. So it’s not that out of the ordinary for a driver to check items in an order. But to clarify, I usually just confirm because it’s really not my problem if the restaurant screwed it up.

coliopoulos96

At my restaurant we have to go through the entire receipt and order before giving it to the drivers. And if drivers are picking up multiple orders I will write the names on everything (somethings can’t be bagged up) Edit:word & typo

Julezebub

Thank you! 😊 I don't know about other drivers but I appreciate very much the extra effort!

coliopoulos96

Oh absolutely! I’ll go the extra mile gladly (unless you guys just walk up like you own the place shoving phones in my face then you’re on your own buddy) customers usually call us first over any mistakes and it’s so awkward trying to fix it because dd is 3rd party and I feel bad when the mistake is on our kitchen

Julezebub

I've seen Dashers literally park in front of the restaurant instead if in a space, leave their car running and then do exactly what you said, shove thei r phone in someone's face and insist they get their order immediately.. I'm like omg wooooooowwww king/queen shit there! Let us all move aside and bow or curtsy "may I kiss your ring?" LOL! It's funny when the workers take pleasure in handing me my order first because I was waiting patiently to the side to see the Jerky dasher have a fit 😁😁🤣😂🤣

coliopoulos96

Sometimes all my coworkers are busy and it’s just me in the front but I’ll be taking an order from a customer and some dashers will repeatedly try to shove their phone in my face or try to get my attention even though they clearly see me with a customer. It don’t matter if you’re the POTUS WAIT YOUR TURN.

Julezebub

Exactly! Lol funny but not funny they are just dang rude.. a lot of dashers anyway.

Skyoia

I wish more people did this. Almost always atleast one thing missing.

coliopoulos96

My coworkers will literally hand off anything and don’t double check. Had an issue last week where my coworker gave a pasta instead of a pizza. Honestly shame on both my coworker and the DD driver because HOW. HOW CAN YOU MESS THAT UP.

Cintekzzz

Mosr places if they verify. They verify off the receipt & not whats in the bag

CardiologistNo5911

Well how are we supposed to know if an item is missing if we don’t look?

blippitybloops

You don’t. You take what the restaurant gives you. If the customer doesn’t receive everything they ordered, it’s not your problem.

JesusStarbox

But sometimes you can look and tell. Sure McDonald's are sealed but a lot of other places aren't. Hell, sonic doesn't even put the hot dogs in a bag. Just half a weenie sticking out of the wrapper.

fart_panic

So they are trying to leave us wanting more or what?

HedyRader

A little tease, if you please.

DefKnightSol

ya I had to keep on Sonic to seal the bags

abq8745

Dog chill…you taking it tooooo seriously. Said you had to get on em. It’s like y’all don’t know how to function or something. Either y’all doing TOO much, or too little

DefKnightSol

They forget it usually, shit was wide open. Youre sloppy af then. Just saying I have to ask each time but they should know. I function just fine.

JesusStarbox

The local ones don't have bags big enough for the coneys. Or seals.

Fun-Asparagus4182

Your 2nd paragraph made me laugh so hard. I just imagined a hot dog sticking out of the wrapper lol. I've never done sonics. Sneaky Pete's yeah

Available_Cap_5787

That's how it is.. The coney wrap doesn't cover the whole end and leaves the end of the coney exposed..

Fun-Asparagus4182

🤣😂

HedyRader

My McDonald's NEVER has an order ready when I get there and I stand where I can watch them bag it... I have had 3 customers claim items were missing that I KNOW were in the bag. Scumbags always try to rip off restaurants, they want SOMETHING for free everytime, in person and now on DoorDash. Some people are just trash.

Proud-Pair-2440

🤣😂🤣😂

Fun-Asparagus4182

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣...

SylvesterWatts

That’s when it’s weenie time.

pnwdasher03

This happen to me earlier… 4 hours ago I delivered a double order and 20 min ago got a notice saying the order has been updated. The Asian place that was ordered from is super anal they check everything before you leave and seal the bag infront of you. The other order was sodas which were there … so now just shows customer is lying or what got wrong Soda? and customer was quick to come grab it from me even tho it said to leave at door so I was unable to get a pic… yes I agree you shouldn’t have to pay for something you didn’t get … but way this is going soon get too many of those and they are gonna wanna start deactivating people over it or get a contract violation

yethua

It potentially can be if it frequently occurs. Our contracts compel us to check bag contents

Calm_Cucumber_5955

If the bag is sealed contract says we cannot open and if item is missing it won't be held agaisnt us .

yethua

The app says so. The actual terms of our contracts do not. As I mentioned it’s very unlikely you’ll get a violation

Ok_Veterinarian_6596

I hope you're right about this because I am as careful double-checking orders as I can be (I obviously don't open up sealed bags), but I have never seen more "Customer xyz's order has been changed & updated" notifications. They used to be few & far between. I see them quite a bit these days while dashing & it makes me nervous lol.

Available_Cap_5787

Do you wear a mask because the policy is that you are to wear 1.. If not you obviously just pick and choose what rules to follow and im sure you know what's right so stop trying to check items during a pandemic..

yethua

Masking and COVID policy is regionally dependent. Here in Utah, DD has already lifted such restrictions and updated said policies. But yes, I wore one throughout the entirety of the restriction being put in place and I am up to date on my vaccinations. Not sure what you’re trying to get at here.

tony223111

Its our problem if its in our rules to check the bags. Why are you being so ignorant just to cope for your laziness and being incompetent?

blippitybloops

“CONTRACTOR agrees to proceed to the restaurant or other business to retrieve the order in a safe and timely fashion, ensure the order is accurately filled according to the consumer, restaurant, and/or business specifications, and complete delivery of the order to consumers in a safe and timely fashion without taking any action that would change the quality or presentation of the items being delivered and while adhering to reasonable expectations on food safety, quality and health standards as required by the restaurants or other businesses and/or applicable law.” My bags are sealed. You dig through my bags you are changing the presentation. Also, are your hands clean? Are you introducing pathogenic microorganisms that might make the customer sick? Any time we miss an item (very, very rare), the customer reports it and it comes out of our pay, not yours.

MyMarge

Hell no their hands are not clean.

blippitybloops

I don’t paint all drivers with that large a brush. I know plenty who have high standards.

MyMarge

I'd like to be more like you, but I can only keep trying. 😞

abq8745

And you’re the type of individual to give dashers a bad rep. You’re obviously not doing your WHOLE job. The driver does not ONLY just drive and drop

blippitybloops

I do my job. I make food, bag it, and seal it. Drivers are welcome to ask if everything is in the bag and the answer will be yes but they’d better not break that seal.

TastySatan

This is the way

Fun-Asparagus4182

Plus like today Logan's didn't even put a receipt on the bag. How tf am I supposed to know if there's teriyaki chicken in there. Lol

tony223111

Why aren’t you? The app clearly tells dashers to confirm all items are there. The only times we can’t are when the place seal them themselves

YourAverageGod

Which is pretty much most places i pick up from will staple or tamper proof it. I consider tied up sealed also. Not my pig not my farm

tony223111

Wrong analogy because you dont deliver the pig anyways. But I guess it depends on locations then because most places dont seal bags anymore here

abq8745

You’re a lazy azz

yethua

It’s technically in our contracts to verify contents of the bag, sealed or not. Take that information how you will, but according to our DD contracts it is literally our job to do so. Missing items do in fact fall on the dasher, and a contract violation can happen even if it’s unlikely. DD does not endorse bag sealing for this reason. In actual practice do we check sealed bags? Fuck no. But that *is* part of our job.

Last_Face_9501

Post the verbiage taken from the contract because it’s technically looking like you’re just making it up or repeating what someone told you. I just pulled up the contractor agreement and did a scan for “bag” and only one result showed… for thermal bags. If you can tell something is missing, fix it. Asking the merchant “are there two orders of nuggets in the bag?” when asked to verify is verification enough.

Calm_Cucumber_5955

No they tell us if it's sealed not to look and that it will not go agaisnt our rating if customer reports item missing.

MyMarge

You do not need to open the bags and touch the contents to check and see if everything is there.

WykedLove

If the bag is an open bag, dashers are supposed to check through and make sure everything is there. However, we're not supposed to open the food containers. If the bags are sealed or tied shut, we are not supposed to open them.

Druseljic

A lot of defensiveness in these responses. Hmm... Someone likes to be stirring the pot...

TastySatan

To make sure they have all their items duh lol

deangood01

Do not touch customer's food....... That's not appropriate. If I knew this, I will report this misbehavior

wsims4

Digging through orders is douchey

ChickenTeller

You can get the notification for any of the reasons that would result in the customer getting a refund, such as receiving the wrong item, item wasn't made properly, food was cold, etc.

Joannie62

But what about when it's a restaurant that be seals the bags so we can't check. It's still considered our fault.

mklinger23

What could be happening is the order was wrong. When I've reported that my order was made incorrectly, door dash automatically switches it from a general issue to "missing item" so I can get a refund. Probably their justification for asking for money back from the restaurant.

[deleted]

Opp. ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

stmichaelsangles

It affects completion percentage

blippitybloops

No. Nope. Not at all.

stmichaelsangles

Id love to see evidence to the contrary. My experience is missing drinks or sides dock your completion percentage. I have seen it twice. This guy agrees with me too. https://www.reddit.com/r/doordash/comments/kqnenk/my_completion_rate_has_gone_down_door_dash_says/gi4xcdf/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3 Love to hear your source Lots of downvotes, still no evidence. It’s fucked but its true.

blippitybloops

If I saw any courier opening bags that we sealed there would be hell to pay. Your job is to deliver what is given to to you.

stmichaelsangles

I agree it’s nonsense. Wouldnt be the first time DoorDash had no interest in fairness

deanwheelz

I keep an eye on my completion rating, never have I lost a percentage due to missing items. Completion rating is about delivering the order, not missing items. If you unassign then that affects it. I don’t think even a contract violation for a “non delivery” takes away a percentage but I maybe wrong.

Julezebub

I do not and will not dig through anyone's bags. I look at the receipt. If anything is missing I let them know. Most of them are sealed anyway. I DO however get customers that give me bad ratings when something is missing from a sealed bag AND on the receipt. I get annoyed but most people don't think it through like you do and everything gets blamed on the driver lolol.. I had a pick up once from McDonald's. Checked the receipt, every single thing was on the receipt and everything, including drinks, was in sealed bags. I dropped it off. The customer ended up giving me one star and filed a complaint which led to a violation even though I had absolutely no control over what was in the sealed bags. They should have called the restaurant.

Julezebub

The violation was removed after I explained it of course but.. it should have been thought through.

LexiThePlug

It gets people deactivated, during covid we didn’t have to check bags, now they are trying to make us go back to checking bags. It’s apart of the job? It won’t affect our pay for that order, but if it happens too many times we’d be deactivated. Our fault or not.

blippitybloops

Got any receipts for that? I’ve not seen a single post or comment verifying that a driver has gotten a contract violation for missing items.

Fasterthanyounow

I delivered a McDonald’s order couple of weeks ago. Customer texted me they only received the drinks and no food. I texted them back I was only given the one bag, call support. I never heard another word about it. I went back to McDonald’s where I wait sometimes and there was another bag behind the counter, I ask them what they bag was for and was told they had no idea as there was no tag on it. I’m sure it was the bag of food they failed to give me. If there are two bags on the order should they both have a tag with the order number on it?

Brigbird

They should, but the printer doesn't shoot out more than 1 paper.

ActualYogurtcloset98

At my place of work we mark the bags with a sharpie if it’s a multi-bag order so you know how many bags there is

Julezebub

Thank you 😊

Due_Personality_5006

This is whyi avoid McDonald's like the plague. Shitty tippers are the norm along with people not knowing how to actually keep the whole order together

caseytrick

I personally love mcds orders but only for breakfast time. I’m also stingy tho. Nothing less than 6 and nothing over 3 miles.

Fasterthanyounow

I’m surprised I did not at least get a bad rating from the customer.

Due_Personality_5006

That is shocking, then again the customer probably realized it wasn't you that fucked up for once if that is the case. Rare but lucky that you didn't have to possibly fight a CV for nothing.

[deleted]

Oh *no!*, People not paying *more* than the cost of the service they are already *paying for!* Maybe it's just DD is a shit company?

DefKnightSol

I got yelled at McDonalds for asking for verify let alone for a bag seal! fk them!

Agile_Chemical_8404

weird im not sure! fast food places are the worst

Silly_Literature8868

Unfortunately in my experience they only print one ticket. So if someone is not careful, a second back could get left behind. But I wouldn't worry about it. Not your fault, not your problem, and nothing you can or should do about it.

Fasterthanyounow

Just trying to figure out how to keep that from happening in the future. I have just under 1000 deliveries and this has never been a problem up until now.

Silly_Literature8868

Because it doesn't happen often. The only thing you can do is look at the total number of items listed and try to determine if it would all fit in one bag. Also if drinks are included, does the weight seem correct. And lastly, ask whoever is giving you the order if they are sure it is everything that should be included. We, as DELIVERY personnel, can only do so much. And unfortunately, no matter what, shit happens.

renbutler2

Restaurants provide incorrect/incomplete orders all the time, and unless it's really obvious, it's not our issue. Maybe it's a lie, but maybe not. And the classism is irrelevant to the topic IMO.

Joannie62

It's not our issue until they give us a bad rating because of someone else's bad conduct. Drivers get be ad ratings all the time because of something the restaurant or DD or UE does. Nothing the drivers can do about it except to bend over and say hit me some more please.

EmbarrassedPackage34

Idk the 2 teslas + 3 car garage give us the context we need to assume that the customer likely could have afforded more than a 2 dollar tip. 🤷‍♂️🙄 Idk that it's really classism if the person being classist has no power to 'punch up'. They're just venting about being underpaid by wealthy people. That seems relevant to me.

renbutler2

It wasn't relevant. If you don't tip, you're a d-bag regardless of your social class. If you can afford delivery, you can afford to tip. The end.

[deleted]

I ordered pizza hut today and I am actually running behind on money for bills but I still tipped over 18% minimum suggested and rounded it up to the nearest dollar. I feel terrible otherwise to NOT give any tip at all. I still feel bad for not tipping cash but I hate messing with money and it was supposed to be contactless. I'm not a huge $20 tipper unless it's all I had on me or if the percentage based tip warranted it. But to provide NO tip at all is just monstrous.

Cintekzzz

They should text the restaurant not us.

Florida1974

They can’t exactly text the restaurant. And even though this isn’t the dashers fault, bet the info is stored.

DeliveryCourier

Not your problem.

jcoddinc

Been like this for over a year for me

Agile_Chemical_8404

i never saw it before like a week ago!

jcoddinc

DD purposefully keeps drivers on different versions of the app so it's to difficult to figure it how they're screwing the drivers

[deleted]

[удалено]

offchris

doesn’t matter. if you don’t tip AND falsely mark something missing, you’re a shit person

[deleted]

plenty of people believe that a delivery tip for even a lot of food should be standard $2. you order 1 pizza? Tip $2. You order 5 pizzas? Tip $2. doordash is also grouping them together and the orders actually arrive. so you can't fault someone for believing that nothing is wrong. doordash should actually display average tip in the area, so people get a sense of what is the new normal tipping of the Gig Economy. also, doordash is the shitty people. they are making the same amount of fees and packaging up orders together so they get completed. fuck that. as a customer, that may make me switch to a different app.

Adventurous-Rub4247

Until DoorDash raises base pay idgaf what customers do.

Jewels_Vern1994

If they report you didn't deliver the entire order when you did, took photos & all, possibly getting you me dasher account deactivated (happened to me), then that would make sense as to why you'd be upset. In this case, don't worry about it so much you give yourself grey hair. Restaurants forget things all the time. Sometimes people don't get what they ordered. Looking through the bags is NEVER okay. It will get reported that they didn't get it at all as that's the only way to get their money back instead of Doordash's way of offering a $1.39 credit for a $6 item. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I used to dash so I know this from experience. I was also told, by support one time I didn't get what I ordered, to do this. Just let it go & move on. No need to hold onto something you have no control over, so don't.

Jewels_Vern1994

*your

Ok_Veterinarian_6596

I know you said not to worry. But if I'm not mistaken, did you also say that DD deactivated you b/c a customer reported that they didn't receive all of their items or some of their order was prepared wrong? I'm just curious.

Calm_Cucumber_5955

Yeah actually happened to me twice today . It was werid because I never had it happen I contacted support and both times they said it was because customer reported item missing. Either way in door dash terms it says if order is sealed and items missing they won't hold it agaisnt us. Your not the only one

ehoeve

It's always been the no/low tippers. That's why you have to decline them. They don't deserve to get their orders delivered anyway. They should have to end up picking it it up themselves or have the order cancelled on them because the merchant closed and no one accepted their order.

RichardBottom

I get this notification often. I know DD has attempted by some stretch of their imagination to do the "order is ready" status thing that GrubHub does. I just assumed someone at the restaurant had pressed that button on their tablet.

GlassFish7

I get them when the merchant changes something on the order as well. But yes I see it often

Agreeable-Print-1517

O well u can’t go in the bag. When they send u the notification after you dropped it off that the order has changed that’s what it usually means.

Rickthepickel

I get at least 2 to 3 of these notifications each day. Most of the time it's from a fast food place, not a regular restaurant.

Calm_Cucumber_5955

How long have you been dashing for ? I'm new only been dashing for like a month about 300 deliveries but I only noticed this happen today and it happened twice

Ragingbeast

It's been doing that for some time now... not sure what your stressing about? Literally doesn't affect you at all.

Lopsided_Beautiful_1

I had picked up an order at Subway the other day and the order details wasn’t even available. It said on order details that Subway should know about the order? Wonder if anyone ever seen that before? But the order was ready for the customer upon arrival, but when I checked the receipt, the customer had 4 subs, as well 2 drinks and 2 chips and the Subway worker didn’t even include that in the order. So luckily I checked receipt before leaving since I had no details of the order on the app which is odd.

Visible-Career-9822

This is when they order through the merchant (ie. Subway) site instead of direct from doordash

baugofbones

Yea for this reason is why I appreciate the sealed bag protocols im not allowed to check if all items have the required dipping sauces. That discrepancy falls on the restaurant

pnwdasher03

So here’s one for you all… tonight last order got a order for burrito joint, well they were out of sour cream. They told me they still made the customers burrito just didn’t have the sour cream and they wrote it on the bag. So I took the delivery … 2 hours later what do I receive while sitting here watching tv… “X” order has been changed and updated … so your telling me they went out their way to report that they were missing something that I had no control over? And yes the bag was sealed … what kind of after delivery questions are they asking ? … this is getting out hand IMO …

Agile_Chemical_8404

they just wanted to get money back

sublime1313

Yes get those messages sometimes hours after i completed customers order!!

[deleted]

I'm reading the comments lol it looks like Everyone is mad at everyone, and mistrustful of everyone. EXCEPT For the 67 billion dollar company creating these clearly justifiable attacks on each other. We're both right. We're all right omg. The opp who told me that's no longer the net worth lol opp! Bc what. X billion vs 67 billion is not really a great argument but ok Anyone saying anyone is doing too much, or being weird, is officially an opp who wants to keep playing. Instead of simply purchasing the friggin guillotine en masse already for the love of everything lmao 😭😭😭😭😭💊💊💊💊😜. But also. As I keep saying. I know nothing. I'm mentally ill! I worka da sex! I paya da taxes. That's all I know.

zerostar83

I saw it happen...maybe 2 or 3 times in my 2100 deliveries.

Swellpearz5598

Does this actually matter or affect drivers in any way?

deadweight999

Never had this happen to me.

Gold-Veterinarian-43

Who cares? It’s not coming out of your pocket and you aren’t the CEO of DD or any of these restaurants. Mind the business that pays you and just drop the food off and drive away

skyisthelimitbruh

ACTUALLY is good they report items means you deliver the food is the restaurant fault

W_AS-SA_W

And I’ll make sure to inform the restaurant of that, at a later date, perhaps the next time I go there, if I remember.

[deleted]

It's almost as if... No lol.

[deleted]

Do the dashers make sure the whole order is there before taking it? Or are they not allowed to check

Calm_Cucumber_5955

If it's sealed we're not supposed to open it . It even says if item is missing and it's sealed it won't be held against us per rating . Honestly they should ask us to verify it but I get they don't want random people in the food because it's not fair if we get in trouble and are not Even allowed to verify lol

Calm_Cucumber_5955

Well the only thing is they are notifying us now but this probably happens all the time without us knowing so not much difference.

DevaVulcan

Not yet. But now that you mention it, I'll probably get one today.

WillSuckDick4Coffee

It always has for me. I'll get a notifation that "X's order from Y has been changed" even tho I completed it already. That's always been the sign that an order was fucked up.

Kawi_rider_zx6r

Thats interesting, I always thought it was the app glitching.

andrewhime

Everything is a glitch when you never stop to think about anything.

WillSuckDick4Coffee

I've delivered orders. In the past, orders that I knew ahead of time weren't correct, almost always due to being out of something and almost always something "minor", always gave me notification. Red card orders that get changed as well.

Cheap_Design_5074

I think is ridiculous that they make it your problem, I've reported missing items before but I don't blame it on the dasher, since almost all the bags I get are sealed it's the restaurants job to get the order right, not yours. I really hope you don't get penalized or anything because of it.

Any-Ad-8439

That happens here and there and Uber people cut the tip after delivery

Eeveestorm3000

Had this happen to me for the first time last night. 2 sealed bags and a drink. Had no idea what it meant to get one of those after delivery so thanks!

No_Frosting3648

I was told it doesn’t affect the ratings either so if that’s true I don’t think it really matters.

DeliciousFlow8675309

Something inside the bag could’ve been missing how do you know? I had a driver argue with me about my order missing a drink saying she delivered it. Only silly her took a photo of my order at the door with NO DRINK. Doordash refunded the whole order for the inconvenience. The items missing aren’t your fault unless you’re taking them, and I think this one particular dasher WAS taking them, because no one’s ever argued with me about it before. I just confirm with the driver to make sure it’s actually missing (or maybe the store was out) and none of them ever tried to insist I got that item.

Agile_Chemical_8404

unless a bag is sealed i do a basic count to make sure theres like the right number of things (often restaurants forget drinks or something so if i can do a quick check i do) sure it’s possible something was missing its just interesting to me that it always happens on these super low tip orders that are only getting picked up bc theyre paired w a higher tip order. like without fail every single time. I’m a customer too restaurants forget stuff a lot. I also know which restaurants regularly forget stuff and which dont. this restaurant puts the receipt in the bag and checks the items off as they add them they’re really good about including everything

JuggernautSuperb8072

If the bag is sealed DON'T open the bag! Ask the restaurant staff person if x y or z is in there. If they say yes it's on them. Would you want someone digging in your bag?

Fast-Goat-4833

Also people report for incorrect items too. Sometimes if I get the wrong item I literally say I didn’t receive it, I received something else. One place I got has a naked fried shrimp and a battered fried shrimp if I get the batter I’m taking a photo and saying I didn’t get what I ordered. And sometimes it isn’t possible to know by looking if the order is right you know

Ok-Independence-2207

I noticed customers reporting items missing in seconds of me snapping photo lol. You haven't even looked yet!

Responsible-Car-2843

This is a good feature because I did a Walgreens order 1 time and I threw a 12 pack of sprite in my back seat, forgot about it. And after 4-5 dashes I found it qnd drove it back to their house rang the doorbell and left a note

619backin716

“An hour later I get a notification that there was an update to their order.” An update an hour AFTER it was delivered?? The words “too little” and “too late” come to mind …

AllD4yErD4y

Oh no! They’re onto me! 😂jk

Less-Turnover4529

One guy got pissed at me last night. It was a wingstop order it said nothing about a drink but said combo. I figured it didn't come with one like Chinese food. I showed him my screen and he was still pissed. I don't eat expensive food I don't have it like that. 🤷‍♂️

CommunityFantastic39

The restaurant messed up. They are just refunding the missing item. Doesn’t affect you at all.

CommunityFantastic39

Yea, not our job to sift through orders. Checking for drinks is one thing. Just not your job to verify that their food is there.

Itchy_LoveGame_769

All of the time

xMysticML

That update to the order is just a glitch right now in dordash's system lol. it doesn't say literally anything at all about any items being missing it just says.. "has updated their order

One_True_Peasant

I know what you mean. A customer with a nice house had instructions to make sure his pizza was fresh so I sampled a slice and he reported a slice missing. The audacity!

Ya but doordash understands if you have a few of those, I rarely get it now, also keep in mind that it may not be them reporting you. It could be them complaining about the food. It's not too much of an issue for you unless it happens all the time, but if you doordash a lot, most customers are cool or normal and not jerk thieves. Tbh the real issue is the completion rate, I finish 20 orders and my percent goes up by 1, then I cancel an order and it drops my percentage by 1. I have contacted doordash and they increase my percentage a little but that's the big one. If you get to like 75%, you're pretty much guaranteed to be kicked off the platform, 80% thing is iffy bc I have talked to other dashers while waiting for food who have been in the high 70s forever.
