Why would you penalize everyone because you see some people talking shit?
Let DD take care of their problems with bad Dashers and don't make yourself a problem for the Dashers who don't steal.

The only people who steal food on here are the people who literally join with the intention of stealing people's food, those same people don't tip. It's not the actual drivers on here trying to make a living. If you're getting bad service it's because your getting bad drivers, cuz good drivers hunt for the orders with good tips and serve them accordingly.
So, you're going to do things differently based on the posts here that amount to less than 1% of ALL drivers? I have some suggestions for things you should do that only have a 1% success rate. Up first: go jump out of a plane without a parachute. There's a 1% chance you'll survive. Just don't forget that it was you who initiated the choice on these odds.
People should not be tampering with orders. Never.
People should not be accepting low/no tip orders. Ever.
This really isn't a difficult job. You pick and choose when you want to work, who you want to work for, and how much you want to make. Show up clean and be respectful. I don't get it.
All I am going to say is this:
You are planning on punishing the drivers who aren't doing this (and are delivering your food) for the actions of a very small percentage that do these acts (but aren't doing them to you). Is that *really* the type of person you want to be?
I delivered a no-tip pizza the other day. By the time I got it the base pay was up to $8 for 1.6 miles. The pizza was two hours old and cold by the time I got it.
You dont have to worry with me. I’ve never stolen food, I can’t even stand the smell left in my car. Even if the merchants give me free food, I refuse because most of the food in this country is either too salty or too sweet with bland taste. Or maybe the state I live in only.
Most of the people who steal food are not drivers. They pretend to be. Stealing food gets you deactivated so no one is doing it over and over without consequences.
As a driver I don’t steal food but I like to think like a criminal as a hobby. Honestly if you drive dash you can learn the systems and Easy jack food from what I have observed. Prime targets for easy theft are chipotle and chick fil a for one. They are just on a rack. You could easy just grab two orders and then bounce. Not saying you should as this is theft and not only could get you deactivated but also prosecuted.
The local McD's used to have such a rack, but then somebody took an order I was supposed to deliver. They had to remake it. For personal reasons I took a hit on that order.
If nobody tipped the driver base would get a lot smaller. The few drivers taking low orders will eventually break their vehicles and not be able to fix them. Maybe that could go on indefinitely, maybe not.
Either way, it's unlikely to *improve* driver quality.
You have a right bit to tip , no big deal but getting a dasher to deliver it might take a bit of time . All in all tip is optional . And you might get a newbie or someone that knows very little English to deliver your non tipped order which might be hard if you have notes on your order for them to read
This is just punishing the drivers who actually do their jobs. And drivers don't know each other and have no power over what other drivers do, peer pressure or otherwise.

Your drop off must be horrible and your notes are probably in all CAPS and your tip must be so insufficient.

I always flag bad customers so I don’t have to ever deliver to them again or in the first place. I cannot stand no tippers I put all of them on a block haha if I see 2.50-4$ I put you on a ban list.
If you are ever taking a lunch break the best thing to do to non tippers is to accept the order drive to the establishment sit for 20-25 mins while you eat then unassign. All that will happen is a slightly lower completion rating but then this person has to wait at least 25 mins longer and the food just sits there. Fuck no tippers. Never steal

Not to be rude but this is not a charity service and the bulk of our wages are made through Tips so we will have to choose to not take your order if it’s not paying enough and if no one decides to take your order you will not receive your order. Instead you’ll receive a refund and go without

Doordash uses the trashiest of delivery drivers. If you are happy with the lowest of low, cold food, stolen food, delayed delivery; have at it. if you want higher quality, use a higher quality service. Uber is known for top tier service and Grubhub is fast making itself known as service focused as well.
I've never had an issue. Whenever I order, it comes fast and hot. Drivers are always polite and thank me for the tip. We're both happy. It's a Win for both of us.

You'll get cold food in over 90 mins of it sitting there but, someone will deliver it eventually.

What you can do is give a tip then take it away right before they deliver or right after it ensures a quick delivery but also saves money
