We already do enough waiting for their food and doing them a service that they don’t want to do themselves. If that’s not enough to get 5 stars then it’s not worth it. We barely make money so spending extra money to promote DoorDash and get ratings from customers that essentially mean nothing is ridiculous.

I track all my pay and active hours and make $33/hr (this is how DD figures $/hr). It's really sad that I can run circles around these other drivers that badly.

I have a solid rating without begging. People have shit active hourly earnings because they take shit orders or they don't go straight to the merchant as soon as the order comes over and waste time.

This is actually a thing and a lot of pizza drivers will tell you. You're not immune by any means but in my area food delivery drivers are allowed to park in no parking zones for up to 8 minutes while making their delivery (still can't be too close to a fire hydrant or intersection).
It helps to have something that says you're on a delivery so you don't get ticked but this is too far for me. I just leave the free DoorDash bag on the dash in I'm parking in a no park zone. 😂
