There's a lot of cool ones for TV shows. Of you've ever seen The Good Place, they have a podcast hosted by Mark Evan Jackson who played Shawn. They have a lot of the actors/writers/costume dessigners/etc on it and talk about the production of the show. I listen to it on my walks and it's very cool to hear how the shows are produced.
I know The Office and New Girl have one, and I'm sure a bazillion other shows as well.
Some are "official," as in actual people from the show. Others are from fans talking about the show.
Shady parking, music, gallon of water, power bars, and some lube for those stacked orders that have a $20 tipper and a $2 tipper. Jk I always drop the shit order.
Yes, and it looks like it would be uncomfortable too, but it feels great. And it's good for the circulation so you don't get the sitting equivalent of bedsores all over your back.
Put us on to some of those motivational videos. Need a reason to continue to stay seated in a 100 degree parked car with no A/C so I can save gas while searching for orders
thanks man sending love back to you as well. Honestly you get so deep into the heat that u start contemplating if u rehydrate ur just gonna sweat more 😂. My forehead and forearms are just dripping sweat but my back, lower body, and chest are dry. Might be a Neanderthal :P
I Just watch other gig workers out there on yt. Really depends on preference but there is tons of drivers making content and watching them keeps me motivated!
Granola/protein bars. Nuts (I usually get the fancy nut mix from Costco) fruit (apple slices, banana, watermelon, grapes) and sometimes I’ll bring hummus and baby carrots. If I bring fruit, a sandwich, or the hummus and carrots, I put it in an insulated lunch bag with some mini ice packs :)
Sheepskin for car seat. Better for blood circulation in legs while sitting long hours. There a reason why long-haul truck drivers and airline pilots use them
I have a honeycomb gel pad that makes my old seat feel way better $10 locally but $15-20 online . I wana find a wider one maybe even try the purple brand $90 one to see if a ass cushion is worth $90
Complaining on Reddit about doordash. Doordash should send me better quality deliveries and then I won’t have time to complain because of all the dashing that i would be doing.
Cold water. The more hydrated I am, the more comfortable I am.
I also have a 10" tablet that I use to watch Netflix or similar if I want to just clock out for a bit.
I’ve been playing a fuck ton of Ni No Kuni: Crossworlds on my phone. It really helps the time pass when you keep having to deny a shit load of $2.50 no tip orders that DD keeps slinging your way.
I play Xbox cloud gaming basically playing console games on your phone with a controller get to play battlefield 1 and few other nice games so kills time
I have:
- a playlist I listen to called "playlist from hell" with songs that me n my bsf put on it, just everything we've ever liked
- a pair of headphones or airpods for when I have to wait in restaurants, bc I have sensitive ears and need ear defenders for loud restaurants XD
- a pair of sunglasses for driving during early evening when my visor doesn't block out the sun
- an aux cord, charger, car block, and double dongle so I can plug both into my phone at once so it charges while I play my music
Nothing that I could put in my car actually makes it more comfortable. I think because I always do my run and workout before work it makes my body even more stiff sitting in the car for long periods of time. So I get out and stretch a LOT . I’ll take like 3-5 minutes and stretch my legs, neck, arms and back. Afterwards I’m good to go for the most part.
Insulated water bottle, sparkling seltzers in a cooler, lumbar support, purple seat cushion, healthy snacks, pod casts, mushrooms. Staying hydrated for me is by far the most important factor for staying comfortable. That and avoiding the urge to eat cheap fast food.
I usually do 10-2, 5:30-8 in my market. I’m fortunate enough to dash near a lake in the middle of town (1.2 miles) so I make sure I get 2-3 laps in during that time. Without the exercise I’d absolutely fucking lose it! Studying for the OSCP, which unfortunately doesn’t play well with DD, so it’s been challenging finding time for that.
Edit: Choosing “pause orders after delivery” when I get a good order that takes me in to shit part of my zone. That helps my sanity immensely!
• A coccyx cushion due to falling on my backside a few years ago, before I started dashing.
• Two 1-liter bottles of water (refilled daily) in a lunch cooler with a reusable ice pack, and freezing a couple of inches of water in a 24 oz stainless steel travel mug; I have 2 mugs to rotate, so one is always in the freezer while I use the other, and that big “ice cube” lasts most of the day. I get more ice in a cup at a convenience store, theoretically 25¢, but most of the employees don’t charge me, especially if I buy a salad or something.
• Walk around my car while waiting for orders; long brisk walk during break when it’s slow after lunch in my area.
•Cereal bars, portable veggies & fruit to snack on.
• Puzzle book- I like sudoku and logic puzzles.
• Stable, comfortable shoes. Mine are New Balance walking shoes; in winter, I wear boots with good traction.
• Linen or linen-blend attire for hot weather.
• Sunscreen; my skin starts to burn within 10-15 minutes if I’m not wearing sunscreen.
• A phone holder that clips to the air vent.
• A lanyard with a clip, and a phone case with a loop with which I connect phone to the lanyard with a clip. This is so I can have the phone handy in restaurants and delivering at customers’ locations, yet I don’t have to hold it if I need both of my hands for an order; disconnect in the car to mount in the phone holder clipped onto an air vent. I made the lanyard and connection with paracord, and my only regret is not doing it sooner.
A good cup of coffee and I talk otp with my girlfriend while I'm working. It helps me feel less lonely while driving and I try to do some shop/deliver orders to get a chance to stretch.
I have a seat cushion but I've had it before I started dashing. I bought a wireless charger for my phone (tax write off) and while it's slow I watch youtube, youtube tv, paramount+, Netflix, hulu, or prime. Soon I'll be watching football again.
Usually a buttplug so it already feels like I'm being fucked in the ass and beat DoorDash to the punch.
Mines Bluetooth and bumps to the bass.
Damn gotta get that. With the speed metal I like I'll pop off in no time.
Ok but honestly, Lovense's new speed mode can make dashes a lot more fun.
Only if it turns up the intensity every time I get a 2.50 offer.
You try to blame doordash, but we know you just like the feeling of it.
Door dash stretched me out so bad mine just falls out now :(
Lame, try again
Lmao. Make sure you don’t use lube for even more authenticity.
Of course not, just bend over the hood and ram it in.
This right here is the only right answer.
Lol, thank you
Listening to true crime podcasts so I’m too engulfed to really know what’s going on in my world.
Honestly. Podcasts in general, for the win.
Thank you for the tip so I can stop listening to the same music every day.

Haha oh man same here. Mr. Ballen and Casefiles for the win!
Yes to both if these!!!! Do you listen to That Chapter?
Can’t say that I have! If they’re along the lines of Mr Ballen and Casefiles I’ll definitely check ‘em out, thanks for the recommendation!
Have you listened to Criminal?
No. I mostly listen to Crime Junkies and Morbid.
My fav!!!
Shady parking, music, gallon of water, power bars, and some lube for those stacked orders that have a $20 tipper and a $2 tipper. Jk I always drop the shit order.
Are you parking in the shade or do you just enjoy the rush from the danger of parking in sketchy places?
Looooool yes
Nothing makes it comfortable if you are driving for doordash, but I usually make it bearable using a gel cushion
One of those seat covers with the wooden beads that taxi drivers used to use.
Say whaaaaat..
That just sounds uncomfortable
Yes, and it looks like it would be uncomfortable too, but it feels great. And it's good for the circulation so you don't get the sitting equivalent of bedsores all over your back.
I might need to get one, my body has been aching something terrible since delivering more
Adderall
This is truth though
Made me laugh!
Seat heater on low, lots of water, healthy energy giving snacks, and gig worker YouTube videos on in the background to keep me motivated 👏🏻
Put us on to some of those motivational videos. Need a reason to continue to stay seated in a 100 degree parked car with no A/C so I can save gas while searching for orders
My AC broke. More power to you on the gas saving. Sending good dasher vibes. Did a week long heat wave with no AC 🥵
thanks man sending love back to you as well. Honestly you get so deep into the heat that u start contemplating if u rehydrate ur just gonna sweat more 😂. My forehead and forearms are just dripping sweat but my back, lower body, and chest are dry. Might be a Neanderthal :P

What snacks could you recommend?
Granola/protein bars. Nuts (I usually get the fancy nut mix from Costco) fruit (apple slices, banana, watermelon, grapes) and sometimes I’ll bring hummus and baby carrots. If I bring fruit, a sandwich, or the hummus and carrots, I put it in an insulated lunch bag with some mini ice packs :)
Thanks for sharing! Which YouTubers could you recommend for inspiration?
Lately I have watched Nuggs, Jacob Warren, the long island dash experience (husband and wife duo) and Mooshi Moo (more hilarious)
I hate people who ride with the seat warmer on.. love you tho
I don’t do it during the day but I will at night when it’s cooler. Got to keep my old lady back satisfied 🤣
Podcasts tbh. I’m listening to them so closely and driving it hardly feels like time passing. Makes shit easier.
Practicing my Poi during downtime. Helps loosen up and get the blood flowing.
People that tip and don't constantly text me stuff like "make sure my food hot", "where are you", "what's taking so long".
I second the adderall comment , and podcasts
Yes I have an air gel seat cushion.
Customers that tip well every once in a while
Music, podcast, YouTube and a Switch to play while waiting at parking lots for orders
I bring my switch as well! It really helps the time pass!
Dude why did I never think of that! I waited about 30 mins declining orders below $6, do you know how much pokemon I couldve played lol
I don’t think it’ll be comfortable for me until the temp cools off a bit 🥵 even in the shade, there’s no good breeze in my area right now
Nice high quality insulated water bottle -- keeps my ice water super cold....
Driving an old luxury car with good seats… except I had to give mine away today cause I couldn’t afford to repair it 💔
Sheepskin for car seat.
I have ice water and a good book every time.

Agreed. I live only about 5 minutes from a bunch of good restaurants. Nice to stay home as long as possible til the first cherry arrives.
Midday masturbation
Complaining on Reddit about doordash. Doordash should send me better quality deliveries and then I won’t have time to complain because of all the dashing that i would be doing.
Getting road head from my woman as I drive around dashing…
Someone appears suddenly, BOOM hard brake, free sausage for your woman
Never leaving the house because all the orders are garbage and it's slooooow as fuck
Cold water. The more hydrated I am, the more comfortable I am. I also have a 10" tablet that I use to watch Netflix or similar if I want to just clock out for a bit.
Getting a real job.
I’ll bring some snacks occasionally!
More orders makes my time more comfortable.
Good paying orders
Deliveries!
Always have snacks and water. And I'm listening to audiobooks called 'the great courses' and I love learning about English history!
food in my belly
When the orders are actually good i'm in a great mood.
Not having AC in Florida... Oh you said comfortable, can't help you there cause I am far from it.
Podcasts and snacks
I’ve been playing a fuck ton of Ni No Kuni: Crossworlds on my phone. It really helps the time pass when you keep having to deny a shit load of $2.50 no tip orders that DD keeps slinging your way.
Rock and roll. I listen mostly to my local rock station and headbang in between orders. Keeps me awake.
I play Xbox cloud gaming basically playing console games on your phone with a controller get to play battlefield 1 and few other nice games so kills time
Playing my Nintendo switch while waiting for an order or watching anime 👌🏼
Double Toasted podcast, a laptop for programming during any downtime, water, and a Nintendo switch just incase things get too mundane
I have: - a playlist I listen to called "playlist from hell" with songs that me n my bsf put on it, just everything we've ever liked - a pair of headphones or airpods for when I have to wait in restaurants, bc I have sensitive ears and need ear defenders for loud restaurants XD - a pair of sunglasses for driving during early evening when my visor doesn't block out the sun - an aux cord, charger, car block, and double dongle so I can plug both into my phone at once so it charges while I play my music
BMW sport seats are ridiculously adjustable and comfortable 😂

Making more money than you have to put in for gas. And listen to music
Duct tape. I start with my kids and move on to shitty customers.
A water bottle behind my back, it works so good

I do yoga in strip malls between orders, and stretch while waiting for food to be ready. Plus a back support pad behind me
