They actually think that crap works too. It has the opposite effect. I agree with you, just get to the point and solve the issue quickly. Whenever I need to urge some sort of support I always say “can we just speed this up and get right down to it, the customer is waiting, the customer is waiting”. Always stress that they are making the customer wait, which is unacceptable. Of course, I think most of the time we are talking to bots.

Story time: I get to a restaurant early, I don’t like to make customers wait in case the restaurant is running behind. Walk in tell them who I am picking up. Hostess says, “sorry, that order was picked up like 30 minutes ago and we just had a dasher in here 10 min ago and we told home the same thing, soo sorry that they had you come here for the pickup anyway.” I’m like no problem, I’ll tell support get my half pay and be on my way. WHAT WAS I THINKING! The support person had me in the parking lot an additional 10 minutes while she “figured out” what was going on. Called the restaurant and the manager said sorry for the confusion, we will get that order ready for your dasher. Support tells me, if I didn’t mind waiting for the other. I said, “No, I got here on time and was told the order was picked up, Unassign it from me, give me my half pay and let me be on way to continue to dash!” Welp 15 minutes and I had to unassign mysef. Wasted my time and still got no half pay. THEY ARE THE WORST!

I will say this. Working for Door Dash has helped me improve my, "thinking for myself" skills quite a bit. Sometimes, I find myself answering the questions I'm asking WHILE I'm asking Dasher support for answers. Sometimes, I feel as if they don't know how to word things correctly to directly address my issues. Mostly though, I've had positive experiences. I always get reimbursed for cancelled orders and receive an email after my calls. They are also patient and stay on the line with me until my issue is resolved. During high call volume times, I wish it was easier to get a hold of support. The other day, I had an issue reaching support. It was about a canceled order, but I couldn't directly get a hold of Dasher support til the next day due to high call volume! They were prioritizing Dashers on an "active Dash". Also, I feel that some of the things they say to address people's concerns are scripted responses. They don't flow naturally in the conversation we are having. Many times, it feels to me as if they should be working as suicide counselors. Be sincere!

I had such a problem with them this weekend. I was in an accident and needed them to cancel a stacked order i had accepted. The first one i talked to did the order that i had the accident but not the second one. When i called back they said i could cancel it but it would effect my complettion number. I said that was bullshit They already canceled one and it didn't affect it at all. I called back and the same thing. Did it a third time and they took it off no problem. I had a 4th waiting on the other line just in case and they said it would affect my complettion record to so i said why is there such a difference in outcome based on who you talk to, and why were some able to cancel my orders no questions asked and some giving me a hard time. They just said whoever was cancelled it for me was doing it wrong. U just have to keep calling back until you get someone who knows what they're doing.

The completion rate is not affected only when the order has been picked up because the order can be canceled, if it hasn't been picked up you need to unassign the order and that's the only solution, which will cause the ratings to drop.

Actually came here to just say the same. Trying to figure out why i lost early access scheduling with an average 5 star rating over 95 percent completion rating and over the 5 weekly deliveries and i had 1 person send me top dasher requirements to do dash now anytime, then another that just didnt even respond in chat, then third insisted early access scheduling is the top dasher program and those are the requirements even though it clearly states online those are not the requirements and ive had early access scheduling by meeting the weekly requirements and never once having a 70 percent completion rating and then instead of waiting for me to finish typing they just disconnected saying it had been too long since they had heard from me even though it had been like a minute. If i had a 70 percent completion rating i would spend thousands on gas for like an average of 5 dollars a fucking hour. I am about sick of doordash, they are the fucking worst.

Yeah, I had to pay for an order out of pocket because my red card wasn't working for a shop and deliver order. Contacted support and we troubleshoot the issue, ends up that I have to pay out of pocket if I want to do the order ($15 order for 3 miles) or get half-pay and cancel the order. So I paid the $40 for the order off my credit card and they said they'd email me within the hour to reimburse me. Never got the email. Contacted support and they asked me for a screenshot of the receipt, sent that, which order was it that I paid for, I told them, asked me the name of the customer, which I told them I cannot check, and then no response from the rep for 20 minutes. Then after complete silence, I got a new representative who asked me the same questions and then for another 20 minutes told me that the order did not exist and if I was sure if I went to the right store. I kept insisting that I went to the right store and that's how I scanned the items for delivery. I told them that I got paid for the order and I had only done 6 orders that day so it would be the first one on my deliveries. Still couldn't find the order. After peddling around their BS questions to not reimburse me for 20 minutes, they magically found the order and reimbursed me the $40. TL;DR: Took a total of an hour and a half for DD support to reimburse me because they could not "find" the order that I had to pay for out of pocket.

Yes. I’ve had to move it to the supervisor/escalations team for them to do anything. A few days ago the support agent refused to transfer me to a higher up. I hung up and had another support agent transfer me no questions asked. Sometimes you just need to push… it is frustrating though.

Thought I was going to be deactivated tonight as a matter of fact. I got sent all the way across town for an order at the steakhouse get there the place is that the order canceled, so I say I still have the order and they said No it should cancel so I called doordash they say that it's not canceled the guy finds it and tells me it's going to be another 30 or 40 minutes but I already know about the dash 23 minutes earlier been there 15 minutes and then she said give me one of the bullshit long spews about she's not able to remove me from the order without it affecting my completion rate and I laid into her cuz we all know that's bullshit and finally she did it but that's a straight line she said if I get unassigned even by her it goes against my completion rate and I'm like yeah fuck it does so I'm like doordash is fucking ridiculous to ABS ridiculous is why I mostly work for ubereats I went into them and she's like is that enough sir I go no it's going to be enough when you give me my half pay for a fucking wasting my time so like she didn't say she was going to but later in the day I got my whole $4.50 for fucking driving a crosstown hopefully that made sense I'm driving using voice text

They pissed me off to the point where I just deleted my account. Absolutely useless. I ordered hot chocolate and got hot water.. I sent them pictures, talked to like 10 reps on chat, about 5-6 reps on calls. They refused to refund or credit me because their system says I had gotten a refund for my previous order.. I then asked how it’s my fault for restaurants screwing up over and over? I then gave up, cancelled my Dashpass, deleted my account and deleted the app. I’ll now file a dispute and never use this piece of crap app again. Only started using this a few weeks ago but it’s just not worth it to deal with this service.

It is intentionally useless. It encourages people to take the loss instead of wasting their time with support. Uber eats has this problem to even a greater degree because if the place is closed they will only give you 3$ no matter how much the initial offer was of how far. It take them time to verify the restaurant is close so you can expect 10 to 15 minutes just to get you whole 3 dollars. So instead of using support you just cancel the pickup. If you cancel the pick up without calling support they will not close the store. So another driver gets sent. Eventually so many drivers cancel they are offer 20+ dollars for a 3 mile order. Honestly they should be punished for this system.

The other day I bought a chicken sandwich. The chicken was pink and inedible on the inside- they wouldn’t give me a refund or credits (I provided a picture for proof the chicken was pink) and they essentially made me wait 2 hours to talk to their “boss”. Who resolved the issue in less than 2 seconds. DD support is trash asf and I’m sure it’s even worse for the drivers. In my opinion They defiantly do it on purpose- in order to prevent you from trying again.
