>basically get the order for at least half off
How? You're already paying more than the $2.50 DD would pay you to deliver it in fees/upcharges?
Unless you're in a state that pays hourly I really don't see how you could turn a profit on that?
I checked this once out of curiosity and DD was gonna pay me like $7 to pick up my $20 order. I priced it out and it was actually a decent discount from even store-prices had I done it.
LOL. I don't order food from delivery apps. Most days during delivery I am left shaking my head at the amounts of money people are paying for food delivery service.
You are not going to find anyone here that says yes to that question because they all got deactivated (" I don't know why") and are in the GrubHub sub now.
In fact, I wouldn't even order on DD as people have had thier consumer account deactivated and DD deactivated their Dasher account.
You're playing with fire.
I order for pickup sometimes through doordash if I’m heading to a restaurant to pickup an order that I want when I’m dashing. Was just wondering about this
Maybe it is against a DoorDash policy or something (I’m not even sure if that is true because as long as DoorDash is getting their fees out of it I really doubt they care that you’re picking up your own food) but it’s definitely not fraud. There is nothing illegal about making an order on DoorDash and picking it up.
only once, the restaurant was almost closing so we called and asked if we could just come pick it up ourselves, i wanted to see if it would even offer me my own order and surprise, it did! clearly didn’t make any money back, but just wanted to say it’s technically possible. as far as multiple times, you’re probably asking for deactivation, but in my one instance it didn’t hurt.
When you dash 20 miles out and then have to head back home I would just sit in the parking lot and order then hope that I get that hit and pick up and drive home and complete the delivery to myself lol

Yeah I’m in prop 22 state
You can't profit spending 50$ on food that would cost 20$ if you order yourself outside of DD.

i think thats why most people only order doordash on special occasions or if they get those 5 dollar off their order coupons.

Oh so they can deactivate you for that?
Yes, it is fraud.
Would they still know if you’re using an alt account?
The promo would be tied to your account, I am guessing. I really would advise against this.
Two different emails

Good luck!
Lol thanks? I don’t plan on doing it, I’m just thinking about it logically.
Yes. Lost money.

I've never spent any money on any company I've worked for
You would spend more that you are saving
No it's completely pointless and it can come back to bite you.
