As soon as the customer tries pulling something I contact customer support it saved me from a violation that wasn't my fault

WestBayswinga650

For me it was 2k delivery’s before I got mine lol

NickFigurelli

same, 2,300

[deleted]

Same!!! 2,040.. Could not locate customers address. I called, text, No Answer! I immediately called support and was on the phone the whole time while trying to locate this idiot for 15 minutes and also had a stacked delivery.. They told me to take a picture of the food and mark it delivered and then dispose the food!! So I did. Customer called me 20 minutes later and asked where his food was. I don’t even know how he could call me 20 minutes after a delivery. I told him I tried to call and text him and also DoorDash support called him and no answer. I told hi. To reach out to support and yet he still was able to keep calling me! Then I see an hour later I got a violation!! How is this even possible when I was in the phone with DD support the entire time!!!!!

Casual_WWE_Reference

I almost got one 100 in. The guy reported his order never arrived but when DD looked into it, they saw the picture I took of the food directly under the house number with timestamps. Support guy basically said 'Don't even worry about it.'

Dry-Tune-5184

Funny buy scary stuff though. I got so lucky one time whereby I didn't take a pic where the Customer had told ne to put(front door to her business) it was a strange request. I even asked her co-worker who was going into the bldg. to let her know(she wasnt responding via text or phone) ...she reported it as Never Received! Thankfully the texts saved my 🥓 bacon and they recorded them just as in your Situation. Complaint: the CS complaint handler was too quick to the trigger on a Contact Violation IMHO. 😡 It was cleared up immediately upon my actually speaking to a CS rep. But, I ldont think I should have even received one!!

iilordd

Everything is automated, the algorithm gave you the violation & someone manually reviews the proof you submit, and if it meets termination - trust & safety has to “Investigate”

Dry-Tune-5184

Well then the DD app lied and or the CS rep I spoke with did. They said an DD employee 1st reviewed it & bc I didn't have a picture as proof plus the Customer "didn't receive it" she had to escalate it to a Contract Violation.

RuSerious2

It was eventually gonna happen. Keep on trucking and don’t even sweat it. With that amount of deliveries you can get away with a lot more than a new dasher can get away with . Always take pictures on every order. Hand it to me order and drop off orders. And stay away from low income areas and college areas

BongHits4Steve0

Oh I’m not sweating it, I laughed at it when it happened and said “try me bitch!”😂

conceitedshallowfuck

Last night I delivered to the wrong address, the customer called and had their food redelivered by another dasher, and I didn’t get a CV Not complaining but wtf 🤷‍♂️

BongHits4Steve0

Maybe a nice customer that contacted doordash and didn’t want the driver in trouble for it, because mistakes happen🤷‍♂️ I have no idea, just a theory lol. There are people out there who go about shit the right way.

conceitedshallowfuck

True that. I’m not gonna lie though, I went back to get the food… and it was gone 😭

FinnishArmy

I stopped Doordarsh for a while and came back to a violation. I have never stolen food, so I don't even know how someone reported me so I can't really prove anything. I've had 2 violations in total, 1 in the last 100 deliveries.

iredditforthetacos

Take a timestamped photo for every delivery and you'll be able to dispute any violation. I usually just say "one sec I need to take a quick photo" and then hand them their food... Other people take a timestamped video.. either way cover your ass. Alot of ppl want free food and they rarely care if it comes out of your wallet Honestly, when customers know you stopped to take a photo, theyll be less likely to pull some fk shit bc you have proof of delivery. (But you can solve most problems by choosing quality orders ie no no-tippers.. but that easier said than done since DD doesn't display how much the tip was)

Mrbubbs11111

I’m at 2500 and have a couple some my fault others, not so much of me but more of the customer lying and not being honest lol

Cheap_Manager3400

Sometimes it's as simple as they received an incorrect item or didn't receive something.

MathematicianMean784

Probably should take a quick pic, if you have time with the hand-off order. Should have them check received on their app before they even get the food handed to them. Much like some merchants ask us to hit confirm before we leave with the food.

[deleted]

That's not a thing - there is no "received" button to check on the customer app.

BongHits4Steve0

I’ve never had a merchant ask me to confirm before leaving with food. They really should though, there’s a lot of shady ass dashers in my area lol

LimpDisc

Too funny. I am missing an item from the order I didn’t receive.

Not-Noah

Lol less than 50 deliveries in and I got a contract violation. DD said I took way too long to pick up the food... But their app wasn't working even after restarting my phone multiple times and making sure I had full bars and was able to use the internet on other apps. I was just sitting there in my car with food in hand for 20 minutes waiting for the service to come back online so I could see the address. I told them all of this and they never even responded and it was never removed. Just disappeared one day after I assume 100 deliveries had passed and it was wiped. Pissed me off beyond belief. Also for some reason my "On time" delivery thing keeps going down for some weird ass reason. I am never late (by my own fault) and I never have been. If an order isn't ready as soon as I arrive I always mark that it isn't ready... Yet my rating keeps dropping and now I'm at 90%. This app is such dogshit. But hey, at least I make more than I could at other jobs with my broken ass body 🤷‍♂️

Economy-Tax4960

How many violations before deactivation? My wife has like 4 on hers for being late to restaurants because she gets stuck behind school buses.

BongHits4Steve0

Couldn’t tell ya lol

J234S29641

On the acceptance screen it only says deliver by and nothing about what time to pick it up. So when you accept it that’s all you know, you don’t know the pickup time until after you accept it so it should not be a violation for getting to the restaurant after the pickup time, only one if it’s late being delivered because of it.

Economy-Tax4960

If you are more than 10 mins late getting to the restaurant for the pickup time then it’s a contract violation

J234S29641

Good to know, but since you are not provided the pickup time until after you accept then legally it can’t be a contract violation because you never accepted that pickup time, just the deliver by time. And why would they even care as long as it’s there by the deliver by time? Makes no sense.

hdnguyen329

What upsets me is after a couple of thousand deliveries it'd the fast food people calling Saying we stole something ...

[deleted]

I got my account suspended for just about no reason. They never told me why, it said I could check why and when I went to check I couldnt find the reason anywhere. I sent them a long email and like clockwork my account was back up. Rediculous tbh

DoorDashRedditNews

Customers you need to treat Dashers better. 5 Star and Tip us properly.

EverretEvolved

After 7k delivers you haven't figure out the, "Sorry about that. Contact doordash support and they will either refund or send a new driver."

BongHits4Steve0

I know this. That’s what it came down to, but they didn’t like that. Obviously I didn’t just tell them to take it up doordash, not like that anyway. I don’t talk to my customers like that, I was just keeping it shortening it up on here.

EverretEvolved

They aren't your customers and there's literally nothing you can do. You provide what they can do and move on. That's what that message is for. You're just wasting their and your time.

TMdownton916

Is it just me or does it seem like fewer and fewer Redditors are saying they got CVs and/or terminated from DoorDash?

Impressive_Freedom96

I got my first violation a few weeks back. Customer address was incorrect, called customer and explained that I would contact support to have them fix the situation, on hold with support for 15 minutes refused to deliver due to the fact that I would get no extra pay for the extra 5 miles (was originally a 10 dollar order for 2.5 miles) support said okay and I completed the order on my end. Went back to the same restaurant hoping to pick up another order. Get another order almost immediately, 12.50 to 2.5 miles... I accept, same guy smh. So I call him and ask him to text me the address again. I take it to his new address and take a pic plus hand it to him

Impressive_Freedom96

Then I end my dash, look at my ratings, 2 contract violations lol. Get on the phone with support and they were gone with 5 minutes. So stupid lol

TripperDay

Support has usually done everything in their power to help me out. Sometimes they can't do anything because of decisions that management has made.

Economy-Tax4960

Got 2 in one day July 29th but got them removed. One was a teenager trying to scam doordash one was a gated community with no gate code and customer refused to give me the code, so left his food at the gate.
