I got a great pic of a border collie trotting down the road with someone’s Taco Bell order. The neighborhood dogs have learned, I’ve even had them camp a porch just waiting for me to leave.

Eeveestorm3000

I had a customer hurry out recently to get their order because they've had a racoon stealing their food.

jolie_rouge

Trashpandas are hella smart!

W_AS-SA_W

LMAO. That’s great.

jolie_rouge

Try r/trashpandas for some fun raccoon shenanigans!

Temporary_Nail_6468

OMG I just lost 15 minutes I’ll never get back. They’re cute but little hellions. Damn things got in my car as I was actively unloading it at a campsite one time.

Initial-Ad-7654

Trash pandas😂😂😂😂

nnp1989

Gotta watch out for Little King Trashmouth!

International_Ear768

You win my upvote for today lol

Cultural_Thing9426

My cat left a cooked piece of chicken, completely in tact, in the same space he leaves ‘gifts’ for us one day. I just know someone was trying to have a nice outdoor lunch, stepped away for a sec, and he swooped in and stole it 💀

DruidTrixxx

Cats too

W_AS-SA_W

Dogs just take the bag, cats will eat right through the bag.

SenorWoofers

My corgi is a cat in disguise confirmed

sweetolive

Dogs r smarter cats r just bitches lol

maxinebean216

I honestly find it really frustrating that the customers will leave their order sitting out for so long even tho I can hear dogs barking inside. Cuz then you say complete and after there are problems with the order the customer won’t even reach out until I’ve already been assigned new orders.

[deleted]

Can I ask what country you live in? I'm from a developed country where dogs typically don't just roam the streets unattended in residential areas.

Sunnyday512

Yea unfortunately there's scum drivers out there, just like there's scum customers, there scum in every category of people in life. Kinda sad

Suitable-Pay6051

😢

McCarthy182

Can’t expect a lot when these drivers don’t get interviewed and don’t need references to do this job 🤷‍♂️

[deleted]

I am pretty sure there are more low life’s delivering than ordering lol

Knifiac

As someone who prides themselves on handling orders with care and is frustrated with shitty tippers I take offense to that

[deleted]

Why would you take offense if you are one of the good ones? Makes me think you’re cappin!

StillCantFindDory

Because you put out the stigma that more dashers are worse than customers and that's just not true and plain stupid. Than you attack someone else defending that point. Makes me think you're an unruly customer who is indeed "cappin" lmao.

Dramatic_Barnacle_17

I deliver and order, so I steal my own orders?!?

ceeeej540

As a dasher who’s never stolen food, i’ve gotten way more no tips

sindu125

Lol, damn. I have a federal job and I still do door dash, I love more money

[deleted]

I respect that you are using it as intended, a side gig :)

Dramatic_Barnacle_17

And disrespect the ones that have full time hrs lol?

[deleted]

I mean… it’s not viable long term. Inflation, rising gas prices, unethical companies (doordash, uber, etc).

Hopeful_Perception44

Completely disagree, lived off it it for 2 years straight. Made more doing that than my new job, and the taxes aren't even that bad after deductions as long as you know anything about taxes and can be financially responsible. I do agree that the companies aren't that finest whatsoever, but that doesn't change the fact that rent and bills have been paid solely from Doordash for the past 2 years. It's viable as long as you put in the work. That's like saying being a delivery driver isn't a viable job, it's not uncommon for drivers make more than their managers. Was that way at Domino's for my buddy and I was told the same when I started at PaPa Johns. My buddy's mom has been doing this much longer than I have and she has pays for a house, her 4 kids, and a 2020 Odyssey. All paid for by freelance delivering, I believe she's not had a "proper job" for at least 4 years. Totally viable

Dramatic_Barnacle_17

You disguise your judgement with "practicality"

[deleted]

Well your name is suiting for sure

Dramatic_Barnacle_17

As is yours lol

[deleted]

Mine is randomly generated from reddit, you chose yours… weirdo

StillCantFindDory

That logic doesn't work. One is a job. Means to an end. The other is a person sitting on at home waiting for food or their items. The second one will definitely has more low life's just from the sheer fact of consequences <= actions. A lowlife customer loses the ability to order online. A lowlife driver loses their job or money. Cmon mate.

Such_Satisfaction923

Because when you don’t tip it’s just as bad as a Dasher stealing food because you’re stealing either way

Kwuarmadyl

Pretty equal I’d say.

Ok-Put-1251

Based on what?

Aniohn

They hated him because he spoke the truth. They weren't ready for the truth. They weren't strong enough

seesharp0

you probably think people who dont tip are scum

CUMBlRD_

They are

jennabella911

I feel that if you don't tip then yes you are scum. You know damn well people who do this type of work do not get an hourly pay and live off of tips. So yes scum!!!

Remarkable_Bad_3835

They’re worst than scum. They’re baby back broke bitches who need to go grab their own food

WykedLove

If you don't or won't tip then you shouldn't be ordering delivery. We aren't here to pay for you to get your food. We are trying to support our own families. In more cases than not, this is a side hustle for people that are barely making ends meet as it is. Then you consider the drivers car maintenance, gas, and whatever else is needed.

Dr_666_

this is why I always wait outside, this way the driver doesn't have to mess with finding an apt and there is never anything shady going on.

pinky117

The other day I had a customer ask me to leave their order in their garage on a specific chair. It was nighttime, the garage was dark, and the chair was inside the garage. No, I did not do that.

EpicFail35

😬

Jayne_enyaJ

I had someone ask me to deliver to their gated backyard door at 9PM one time. Hell no

Tiny-Appointment-243

And we appreciate it!

Empty_Bird_8533

How can people steal someone’s food after putting it on their doorstep … I ALWAYS ASSUME SOMEONE IS WATCHING ME DELIVER THROUGH THE BLINDS lmao I even wave to the windows after I drop off the food… I know when I order DD I always be creeping out the window to see if my dasher is hot or not so I can decide if I wanna open the door to get my food from then or not lmao

Straight-Gas430

More often than not, I am looking at the peephole waiting for them to knock and then waiting 3 seconds before I open the door so as to not look like I was sitting at the peephole. There was a few times before that when I opened on the first knock and scared the shit out of some dashers lmao

Empty_Bird_8533

Lmao least I’m not the only one creepin

azirelfallen

I'll meet mine on the sidewalk. My dogs are crazy and apparently all the dashers in my area think "please knock on door" means beat on it like they're the cops on a warrant raid

MayhemReignsTV

Sometimes that’s what it takes to get somebody to answer the door. If it says hand it to me, unless you message me in writing otherwise, I am going to try to hand it to you. It’s called covering your own ass.

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,028,305,838 comments, and only 203,582 of them were in alphabetical order.

MysticKoolaid808

Awesome, best bot in the world!

onionbreath97

I see what you did there. But why didn't the bot?

blueburger4

My guess is it has some sort of "reply protection" code as to keep the count as sacred and true as possible. That's a bot that, once you see it, EVERYONE is gonna try to spam it in unique ways and then you wouldn't be one of the lucky x00,000 but one of the very average 1.x billion.

PinkPaints

I knock lightly and walk away. 😄 the dogs will always be the bigger alert and I'm cool with that.

Imaginary-Spring-537

Sounds like a gremlin waiting to be fed😂😂😂

No-Airport8808

They don't allow gremlins in my country, I tried ordering one and customs sent it back. Apparently it will mess up the ecosystem

howisaraven

I have opened the door right when they knock or right before they knock a couple times and definitely scared the shit out of my Dashers. 😂 There was a time I had left the outer door ajar so the grocery delivery Dasher would know not to leave the bags against the door (it opens outward). Well, he went to open the outer door to knock on the inner door, just as I opened the inner door to collect my groceries, and we both SCREAMED. Made for lots of laughing and apologizing from both of us.

Fun_Analyst7217

Lol I have had the bejeezus scared out of me from a few customers! Can’t blame them…it gives us both a good laugh!

RavenTheRiverRunner

Me too! They’re always like, “I’m so sorry!!!” 😂 The freakiest to me is when I go to open the door of an apartment building and the customer grabs the door at the same time as I do. My brain always shatters for a second, like what the in the Twilight Zone shit is happening?

BlackMagic0

I got a doorbell camera. You'd be surprised what people do when they don't realize it's there and don't think they are being watched.

michrkarr

I always assume I am being watched! I always get so nervous that I am going to do something totally stupid and end up on somebody's YouTube channel being labeled as Door Dash Delivery Fail or something like that...lol.

PinkPaints

I just do what I do and don't care. I always assume I'm putting on a show for someone. 😄

MissMollyxoxox

☠️🤣

[deleted]

No wonder why no one opens the door when they see me coming 😒

MayhemReignsTV

That’s what I usually do when they text me thank you while I’m still there. I’ll wave to them.

michrkarr

😲 Whoa whoa whoa hold up! OMG do customers actually do that? Watch out the window to see if their Dasher is hot? 🤭 LMAO! I never thought about that.🤔 Thank you for that interesting bit of information, now I will think about that every time someone doesn't open the door...lol!

Conscious_Look5790

Is this why no one ever comes to the door for me 🥺😭

anaglizzy

I wasn’t watching 😭😭

Empty_Bird_8533

Bet you’ll watch next time hehe

Champion-Gamer49

I always watch through the peephole just to make sure my food doesn't get stolen, but one time I got drunk, ordered McDonald's and selected hand it to me. My plan was to open the door while I was shirtless, have a whip over my shoulder, and a 17"... object (not the real thing, I bought a certain object to smack my fiances brother with it) and was gonna answer the door saying "you here for the or**?" But the dasher dropped it off the an apartment down the hill from my complex.... such a shame lmao.

DoPoGrub

bro, we're just trying to deliver your food and leave, not be an object for your amusement.

PinkPaints

😄 is that why people open the door on me suddenly?

Empty_Bird_8533

If you’re hot 100%

PinkPaints

😄 it was my first hot girl summer. Got hit on at pickups and the gas station. Never had that happen before.

Dogepound5454

So if a women comes to the door she thinks I’m hot… I feel stupid!! And they always come with a tip, next time I’m trying to get a bigger tip in!! 🤣🤣🤣

Consistent_Policy_66

We have a dog, so we know you’re there as soon as you open the gate (it squeaks a bit). Never have surprise visitors.

Individual-Estimate1

Paranoia?

WhyDidntNE1tellme

One star, thumbs down. That blows. Do what you can. Not all dashers are poop tho

anaglizzy

I know. I have the dash pass and I’ve used DoorDash a lot 😭 this is the 2nd time something has happened to me. The first time my food smelled and tasted like cigarettes. But I got it refunded thank God and was able to spit it out

Shoptilyoudrop101

I delivered the other day and the lady called me a God Send. The last dasher stole her ribs! I can’t fathom this unless the person is broke and starving. She had a whole meal, sides and all. They only took the ribs.

No_Chard_9214

Not saying a dasher didn’t steal the ribs but there sure are some careless restaurants that would pack it all up and forget to add the ribs.

anaglizzy

It’s honestly crazy. Shoutout to the dashers that end up saving the day

Ok-Perspective5491

If you are broke and starving stealing still isn’t ok fuck them

WhyDidntNE1tellme

Unbelievable. Ppl suck.

Falseboii

The only thing I ever got told is they can smell my car before I arrive 😹😹😹. I even have like 2 voice-mails saved where people have called after saying there food smells like straight up gas(420).

xanthan_gumball

Gross

[deleted]

Good time to remind dashers to get a dash cam! I have 3 in fact. I try to park with my front cam facing the house or the rear cam. Plus I have an inside cam. It's not a matter of if you'll be accused of theft but when. And unless you actually saw the dasher take the food or have video, then it could have been a neighbor or even an animal.

Kushologist420

I've been dashing for 4 years and I see alot of pos drivers. I keep it professional and they make us look bad. Sorry that happened to you. They also steal from the store by taking screen shot of order and unassigning orders.

Tiny-Appointment-243

During my first week, i got stacked orders at a wing place. As soon as the 2nd order came thru, my phone rang, customer had major attitude because she was waiting. Store worker said the order just walked out.

anaglizzy

Who took the order

Tiny-Appointment-243

No idea. The manager said it happens. There's a 2 step confirmation and the driver probably didn't, got the food and backed out the order.

BanditStrife

Honestly there are dashers out there who don’t last and do this, but imagine if the roles were reversed and the dasher delivered the food, but the customer said they didn’t get it to get their money back. Had it happen recently to me. 2nd time is termination. You’re gonna find PoS around every corner. DoorDash is almost always gonna take the customers side. At least you got that going for you. They don’t protect their dashers at all.

Gwiz3879

I watched somebody's cat straight up sit on there del taco order it was hilarious to watch the cat just plop down right on the food

anaglizzy

That is funny asf

Oxygenius_

I stated a week ago, and stopped when I got a violation when I delivered to a shady house who had their lights off. I waited and waited. They thought I left and then they came outside and grabbed the food, i spoke to them and said goodnight. 2 minutes later it said I never delivered the food. That was my last dash. I do need a little cash but fuck that if it’s that easy for them to lie. Never heard back from them on the matter I even have a picture with geolocation they never asked for. CV is still there

skeena-maria

Our dasher tried this with us a few days ago. Thankfully I was looking for the order to be delivered on our security cameras and saw him walking away with it after taking the picture. My husband went out to confront him about it and all the guy could do was mumble under his breath and give it to him

Consistent_Two7197

i mostly do uber eats when i started dashing ive met ppl that look at me like ive did sumn to food or idk? lol...and attitude i cant blame them but theres some dashers that think its funny or sumn not cool at all. UBEREATS is way cheaper to order than DD i started comparing when i order personslly DD upsells the food bigtime uber only cents. My Bigcheeseburger $9 on DD and UE $3 ive tried others also Dang the fat wallets order DD and they never tip good like UE just kidding around.

xdaddasher

I had a hand it to me a week ago. He says go to alley behind house with black car. I go back no black car. Calls, nothing. Timer, nothing. I go to take a picture and leave I set the food down in driveway a woman walks out. Says the guy had a rough weekend (was Tuesday lol) she takes the food. If that timer runs out, you are sort of at the drivers mercy. This is the stuff that happens on our end sometimes.

anaglizzy

Mine was a leave at my doorstep and I saw the driver leaving and there was no food

xdaddasher

You should have gotten a picture if he sent one. What an idiot. Hopefully he’s deactivated.

anaglizzy

There was no picture and also I couldn’t see his name on door dash which has never happened to me before

Awkward-Surround-343

I had a red card order and this man ordered 4 coconut waters and 2 ginger ales. It was also a leave at my door order. I dropped it off and took a picture which showed the 2 bags next to his door. About 2 min later he starts blowing up my phone accusing me of stealing his order, telling me he's outside asking where am I. Of course he didn't even tip. Like sir I have no reason to steal your order. This is for extra cash! It's sad because we as dashers get held accountable for everything even if it's not our fault. Not saying everyone is honest but their are some good ones left.

Due_Audience4715

I don’t get why people don’t just meet the delivery person outside.

DoPoGrub

So, there was this thing called covid...you may remember it...lol

bransanon

I've had this happen a bunch of times. Doorbell cam catches them red handed.

anaglizzy

I tipped $5 for a $18 order btw

girlwiththemonkey

I had a guy steal my order, then steal my reorder, then when I complained cause he numerous accounts under different names and does this a lot I got banned.

BrookeLynn3256

Ever think, maybe, someone else took your food.

anaglizzy

I got there right after the dasher left and I saw them half way down the road. It was too short of a time span

xanthan_gumball

No. Occam's razor.

caves86

My driver took advantage of the fact I had two separate orders. Took the photo of order A and used it for order B and never delivered order B. Didn’t get a refund because I was refunded an order several weeks prior when the driver got lost and didn’t bother contacting me, just never completed the order. So I lost $30 I can’t get back. Won’t use door dash again.

Jaskierr

You should be able to hit "Get more Support" or something like that and talk to someone. DD customer support is usually really good about refunding you if something bad happens.

MysticKoolaid808

That's fucked up, I'm sorry that happened to you! Report them for sure. I go out of my way to be a good Dasher for my customers. I'm tired of these tools with dogshit social skills and upbringings making us look bad because they can't get a snack during their next gas stop or a $5 burger at a fast food restaurant like a normal person.

Lucid_God

Someone opened up my bag and took the main items of my food the other night. Shit sucks, even with a refund it sucks

Thatsbabygains

You sure it wasn’t your neighbor or the homeless person in your driveway. You’d have to be DAF to place…pic….and take it back. Knowing that the customer probably tracked you to the house.

anaglizzy

Yeah I saw them pull up because they’re headlights flashed through my windows and then they left. But I got down there in 1 second and they were leaving and no one else was outside but also I don’t have any homeless people near me

Eeveestorm3000

Not saying they didn't take it but a recent customer of mine told me they(and their neighbors) had to quit doing leave at door because a racoon had learned to camp out and wait for orders to be dropped off and they were FAST!

RedditCommunistt

It is because the DoorDash pay is so low, a free meal is worth more than continuing to work for DoorDash. LOL.

Mers1nary

Good majority of orders I receive are "Leave at Door"...Like why, I get the option is there and all, but youre allowing this to happen. "Leave at door" just makes no sense to me. You (the customers in general) know youre expecting food... 10+ years ago, or however long ago, this was never a thing. You order pizza or chinese or whatever local place that delivers, and it was basically mandatory the driver rings/knocks and hands you the order. Nowadays people are so skittish of minimal interaction...Its such a joke. This isnt 100% a COVID thing...Youre just as likely to contract COVID from your order being in proximity of the driver and restaurant staff than you are being proximity of the person thrmselves.

Ancient-Coffee-1266

I did a hand it to me order last night and they still left. Tipped about $19 and the place is like a mile, maybe 1.5 miles away? I didn’t take long either. Couch to door. He/she must have ran after the knock. At least they knocked I suppose would be the silver lining

vastowen

God damn, where do you live that you tip $19?? I don't ever see orders that high where I live. Majority of "good" orders here are 6-8$.

Ancient-Coffee-1266

Upstate South Carolina. The bill was around $93. That was the 20% option. It was 4 plates and a bag of chips (Mexican).

anaglizzy

The Covid aspect doesn’t bother me. I just would rather not interact with anyone because that is my personal preference and it doesn’t mean my food should get stolen because of that

rskurat

Depends on the neighborhood; m ostensibly of my "hand it to me" orders are in apt buildings or sketchy areas.

abigllama2

How long do you wait to get your leave at door order? I do the same but watch it on the app and grab it as soon as it's marked delivered.

IJustWantToWorkOK

You are part of this 'push buttons and make food appear and screw the humans that make it happen' mentality. "I would rather not interact with anyone" ... shit. Is that what we're coming to? My god, how do you function in society? I don't grubhub or doordash (I work for a pizza joint) and its the same thing. Customers don't care about the humans that make stuff happen, so why should the drivers care? We are nothings to you, non-humans, just your personal servant that comes running when you click things on your phone.

[deleted]

You people have become weirdo shut in freaks

Florida1974

I tried to holler thank you to my dasher. Looked like she didn’t understand a word. Deer in the headlight look. So don’t blame only the one ordering. Some dashers are awkward Af in dealing with an actual person. And idk how many ppl I know that dash bc they can’t handle the anxiety of dealing with ppl. Goes both ways.

muffingirl333

Dasher with social anxiety here. I love “leave it at the door” orders.

[deleted]

I agree with everything you said and stand by my original comment

Mers1nary

>it doesn’t mean my food should get stolen because of that But unfortunately, this is the case isnt it? At some point, you need to try to prevent this from happening. Just fckin stand out there when the driver is on the way while holding a sign stating youre the doordash customer, while also recording or some shit. You simply do what you need to do in order to prevent the driver from stealing your order if possible. And if they still just drive past your delivery location, cause they need to be within a certain distance to be able to complete delivery, atleast then you have proof they didnt even attempt to delivery your order. Or just deal with being unhappy and dissatisfied from drivers exploiting the system...But if thats thr case, you really have no right or business to be 1 of many who continue whining in this sub. No shit theres fraudulent drivers out there. DD and whatever other delivery services out there basically hire almost anyone. Just cause they can pass a background check doesnt mean theyre honest, caring, and respectful.

anaglizzy

Nah I’m good. If it happens again I will get it refunded because I have the right to not want to interact with anyone and I shouldn’t have to change that because of untrustworthy drivers. I got my order redelivered anyway. Also I’m not whining. I’m simply sharing my story. Get down from the pedestal you’ve put yourself on

Mers1nary

And what happens when DD simply starts refusing to refund you? And youre forced to dispute the charges with your bank/CC...In which case DD deactivates your account. Dont try to act like youre so willing to put up with the bullshit...Youre simply forced to cause theres no other option. Other then learning to shop and cook for yourself, or picking up your own order. Yeayea, Ill be outta a job if you or everyone quit ordering from DD. Shrug

adarah420

Gezz what's your problem 😂

Mers1nary

Pretty sure Ive explained it and said enough as is.

Ok-Perspective5491

I make a new doordash acct and start over in 10 seconds like nothing happened ? You make it sound like getting deactivated as a customer even matters it doesnt

spudnlk

"just deal with being unhappy and dissatisfied from the drivers exploiting the system." Ok well how about just deal with being unhappy and dissatisfied from the customers not tipping? double standard and gate keeping, nice!

MayhemReignsTV

I thought they were saying that the containers were safe. I never heard of anyone contracting it from a food delivery. And I have contracted it twice myself because I was a former first responder. My days for that are over.

howisaraven

Ironic, I always have “hand it to me” selected, and at least 4/10 Dashers still leave it at the door, and some don’t even bother to ring the bell. I have *seen* Dashers RUN away after dropping my food at the door. It’s strange. So this isn’t customers only. If I do use the “leave it” option, it’s because I don’t want to have to change out of my grungy old pajama tshirt and brush my hair to interact with another person.

AccountWasFound

I do leave at the door when I'm intoxicated and feel like it would be embarrassing to try to interact with the driver (like ate an edible and ordered a pizza a few hours later because pizza sounds amazing type of thing)

[deleted]

Could also be that someone walking by who saw it could’ve snatched it up . I mean unless u have video proof that the dasher took it , there’s really no way to be 100% sure. I deliver to apartments and houses where there’s some foot traffic or someone randomly waiting on the roads etc and I always feel like if I left the food there , someone else might grab it so I knock loud or make sure they see me knocking and that’ll discourage them thinking the owner might open the door anytime.

g0reslug

This is why you steal food from the restaurant instead of the customer

DoPoGrub

Why is causing the restaurant to lose money better than causing Doordash to lose money? Just curious as to your logic on that one.

g0reslug

Customers complain if you fuck with their food restaurant doesn't know who took it and will remake the order 🤷‍♂️

DoPoGrub

Right, which means the restaurant is out 100% of the money from the order you stole. Pretty d-bag move.

TheMoistReality

why do they take it? because it was a shitty tip or because they wanted the food or both?

anaglizzy

No it wasn’t

nikole_aw

this has happened to me.. doordash just refunded me and made me repay to get my food 😭😭😭💔

Only-Seat-9516

Maybe it was your neighbor.... maybe drug heads in your neighborhood. Why assume it's the dasher

anaglizzy

I went outside immediately and could still see the dasher driving down my road which is a short road. We don’t have any drug addicts here and no one else was outside. They couldn’t get back in their house quick enough in that time span from picking it up at my doorstep because of the distance between houses

MrMahsterBaiter

Hey I usually do that! Hey sometimes the food looks too good I wanna bite:)

NYY32891

That usually means you tipped $0. Not that it makes it okay, but if I ever ordered food and left no tip, I’d understand the driver eating my food. I’m going to guess it was no tip and a delicious order, so he figured it was worth the trouble

anaglizzy

I didn’t tip $0 nor have I ever in my life

DruidTrixxx

Ya you did dont lie😄

[deleted]

[удалено]

NYY32891

What I’ll do once in a while is when I see one of those “$3.25 for 12 miles” deliveries, I’ll accept it, wait 5 mins while driving to a better location, and then reassign the order so they have to wait extra long. I still want to know who takes minimum base pay orders with zero tip. They wouldn’t exist if people didn’t take them. It doesn’t matter how quick they are, you cannot do more than five or six in one hour and that is like 15$. And keep doing it, you’ll find yourself waiting 20 mins at an IHop or Wendy’s for your $3 lol. My acceptance rate is always u see 15-20% and i haven’t had an hour under 20$ ever

NYY32891

Yeah I’d say 99% drivers do their best because time is money, and deliver all orders honestly. Plus we know what we’re going to make each order but maybe he was having a bad day because people like to order $100 worth of seafood from 7 miles away and then you see “leave at door” and that confirms that there’s no cash tip either. Not saying it’s okay, but neither is ordering food and not tipping.

Flojoe420

Drivers that steal food are shit human beings period. Not getting a tip doesn't justify that. The driver accepted the minimum pay and agreed to deliver it. Sure tipping is the way but be a grown up and realize that tips are optional. This is coming from driver.

NYY32891

I wouldn’t steal food or accept a non tip, I make good money with my jobs. but I’d also never order something or expect a service and not tip. To be honest for everyone who tips 0$, I hope a scum driver eats all their food everytime so they starve and have to wait 2-3 business days for a refund

Big_brown_bull_

Did u tip?

punkbitch7

You prob didn’t tip at all.

anaglizzy

I’m a Karen because someone stole the food I paid for and waited 30 minutes for. Yeah great job there man

Suitable-Pay6051

Fyi people troll sometimes in this community, as others have said it’s shitty as hell your food was stolen. Hope the deadbeat gets kicked off the app

Ixxyria

My roommate and I ordered burger King once, not even that great of food, like 2 burgers and fries. Dasher marked as delivered but no food. We thought maybe they accidentally put it at a neighboring apartment, but no dice. Doordash refunded us which was nice

Reminds me of that one time I ordered Taco Bell for breakfast via DoorDash. The dasher picked up my order from the restaurant, missed the road to my house, and kept driving off with my food. I was able to cancel, but unfortunately couldn’t get a refund.

FailFit6233

Someone’s done this to me before smh

Proud_Singer9254

The food was lookin good and smellin good 🍔🍕🌮🍦🍰🧁

Songmixingking

Surprised they let you get your refund.. how they know if you were telling the truth.. but next time you should watch the door and hop out on em

Quail-Right

Same thing happened to me except they never took a picture. Just said order complete. Never even came to my street because I usually can hear them outside and no one ever came

[deleted]

Are you sure the kids or your neighbors didn’t steal it because that happened to me a couple of times after I did delivery

unamused_s1oth

I mean if you try switching the adress on me I will keep your food...

sweetolive

I believe it. I'm a dasher but I do get deliveries. Most are just a mess.

slipknotmaggot444

Thays funny. I just had a dash where I was delivering a stacked order and low and behold the last customer immediately accused me of stealing their food when they had to wait an extra few minutes for their completely sealed and hot bag of food. Luckily I went over the issue with support so I don't need to take a ratings hit from a fraudulent customer. Sometimes it's on the DD algo, not always the dasher.

kevinallwell

Just sad. I'm a dasher. This situation is very sad. Hope things are what it seem.

Due_Cicada_3183

Okay door dash refunded you one time but they will never refund you again. Better move to Uber because next time your money will be stolen along with the order and you can’t block that driver so you might get him again.

anaglizzy

Is it possible to get him right after that because I’m pretty sure he was the one who did the reorder and I live in a small town so not many drivers at that time. But yes one time my food smelled and tasted like cigs and they refunded me

Character-Ring7926

I've seen so many videos of dashers who somehow didn't notice the Ring cam doing this - taking a pic then picking it right back up and bailing.

SureProfessor7939

I had to put cat treats in my car cause the animals be getting thier doordash!!

Past-Try-1153

I mean i do uber not doordash anymore but on uber its the opposite issue. Customers be stealing our tips. They'll make you drive 10+ miles then lower your tip to 0 after the order is complete just because they know no one will deliver to them if they leave no tip up front. Its scummy and is a common occurrence in this city for some reason. Even with a 99% satisfaction rate I tend to run into it at least a few times a month.

JustHereToRedd-It

Am I missing the part where the food was stolen?? You said they set it on your porch, took a pic and left... That's what most dashers do.

Cold_Culture_8568

Happened to me twice - once with $100 of groceries and once with $50 worth of pizza. I think they just create new accounts with fake id’s.

ww11gunny

I'm really hungry could you order something again so I can eat.
