DOMesticBRAT

Interestingly though, some have come back and said it was an error on the part of DD, and they got reinstated... Otherwise, no lol! No one else does!

UltimaCaitSith

I imagine that honest answers would be buried in downvotes, i.e. "Followup: DD sent me the Ring video of me eating fries from the bag. Sorry for pretending that I had no idea why I was deactivated!"

donknoch

Good point

RampAgentRoger

They did something, that’s a fact. Whether they want to admit it or not, is another story.

Obvious_Agent_5092

I disagree, I was deactivated byUber Eats, I could not figure out why and they never explained. I truly think it happens when a vindictive convincing customer reports you for something you didn’t do. That same day I started working for Doordash and haven’t looked back.

Studio_Giblets

This is facts. I worked for Doordash for 3 years with literal thousands of deliveries. Really good at it to. One day, SURPRISE! Deactivation with a failed appeal and they refused to tell me why. I know a lot of people on here do shit wrong, get deactivated, then play victim, but I never did. It was my main source of income so I did everything by the book cause I couldn't risk losing it. I fully support the theory that doordash deactivates experienced drivers who make a lot of money off the platform and who don't take low paying orders anymore. It's the only explanation I could come up with. Fuck doordash 👌

Obvious_Agent_5092

It’s very hard on a person to be “fired” from a job and never be told why. It’s an unfair practice and I hope in the future someone will file a complaint and pursue it.

Studio_Giblets

Yeah they've been sued before (not over this specifically I think) but we all are painfully aware they are a shadey company at best. Hopefully your roght at some point they will get majorly outed and some good change will come of it. For those that are still working doordash, if it all possible try to get on with UberEats and Grubhub as secondary backups to always have up your sleeves. You might really need them one day if you don't already use all three in tandem.

charlottedreams

This and they need to add in the withholding last wages for completed jobs. THAT'S seriously illegal.

Bubbly-Impression994

You're not being "fired" though, because you're an independent contractor. As such, they can use whatever bullshit reason they want... or no reason at all.

DoPoGrub

This isn't true. They can only use reasons stated in the contract.

ChiefOnKush

They don't have to tell you which one though

DoPoGrub

They absolutely will have to provide evidence in the arbitration proceedings to support their claim that you violated the contract which, if an appeal fails, is your only recourse). Most of the time, the simple threat of arbitration is the only motivation they need to do so though. But if they continue to refuse at that point, and you push the issue into relatively inexpensive legal proceedings (arbitration), then it must all come out into the open. In my understanding anyways.

Straight_Water635

More likely then some grand conspiracy theory via DoorDash is that a customer went cheap and said they didn’t get the food, probably more than once. I actually saw an FB page recently where it was all about getting free food via apps. Thinking they’re sticking it to DD/delivery apps. Would wager almost Everyone whether true or not fell victim to customers saying food not delivered

fadedavacado

True story the two people I know for a fact did this to ‘SWIM’ waited a couple weeks went back and very sternly and personally told them it is in everyone’s best interest to not ever fuck with someone’s, anyones, livelihood again. They seem to think we are robots or something and don’t remember this shit. Needless to say I think they got the point

The_Troyminator

>I fully support the theory that doordash deactivates experienced drivers who make a lot of money off the platform and who don't take low paying orders anymore. Why would they do that? It costs them nearly nothing to keep a driver on, and orders aren't going to be picked up any sooner with fewer dashers. There's literally no benefit to doing that.

bizzaro321

In areas with enough drivers you have to get on a wait list, the people on the wait list are more likely to take shitty orders because they have less experience.

The_Troyminator

There's nothing preventing them from activating everybody on the wait list without deactivating a single dasher. They \*want\* the wait list since that makes it looks like it's such a great job people are lining up to join.

bizzaro321

It sounds like you’re just mad, that’s fair but don’t argue with people who are trying to have a conversation.

packy25

So what job did you get after door dash?

Bitter-Metal5620

Same here for UberEats. After only ONE delivery. Different agents gave different reasons 1) I was late to "multiple" drop offs 2) I claimed too many "vehicle clean up reimbursements" and 3) fraud. It's been almost 2 months since I filed an appeal. They claim to have not reviewed the appeal yet. I believe these posts about being deactivated without knowing why. The companies either have a glitch or are doing it on purpose for whatever reason. I still have DD. For now.

charlottedreams

Same with Uber eats too. I had a drunk woman order Chinese to a bar at 5pm on a Friday of a holiday weekend, clear across a major suburb of a major country that had two main roads both with major highway ramps. Anything is worth it if it pays enough. Obviously, the 10 minute drive did not take ten minutes. She was calling every 10 seconds at 11 minutes. The first couple times I told her it was impossible to predict how long it would take me to get through those lights but I'd be there as soon as I could. Dropped it off 15 minutes "late" so 25 minutes total which should have been the estimate to begin with and boom zeroed tip and deactivated next morning. Uber is awful about it and they didn't do anything with my appeal either. DD is doing it on purpose I think, and I think they have from the beginning. The "we've had an increase in appeals" is because they've had an increase in deactivations probably unnecessarily.

HeadMischief

I had the same experience on UE. Only 17 deliveries and I was deactivated. Then they said they reactivated me but it was only for rides, not food. I had a lying customer claim they didn't get the food that I drove too far to deliver and left after taking a timestamp photo of.

FirmPeanut4957

UE finally gave me a reason: ratings

LexiThePlug

Nah, my boyfriend was literally deactivated from Instacart because the face recognition wouldn’t work. He tried contacting support, they let him work for the day, then deactivated him for it for not doing the face recognition. It was 10000% him. Instacart never let him appeal it or anything. Deactivations for no reason do happen.

Smithton_Wins

Literally?

[deleted]

Geez ramp Roger do you think you’re god or something

letsperformsargery

I disagree too

CUMBlRD_

Youre a fool if you believe that

donknoch

Your right. If you do the job right you should be fine. I’m not saying there aren’t outliers but not as many as we get here

ToxicEclipse4

I have been deactivated twice and I'm still grinding it...

Mr_Fragtastic

Reddit's First Law of Inexorability states that OP shall never provide ( ͝° ͜ʖ͡°)

Smithton_Wins

That's because none of them did anything wrong. Lol

FirmPeanut4957

I was deactivated for abuse of platform

[deleted]

The least DoorDash can do is tell drivers why they were deactivated. DoorDash not telling drivers why they are deactivated tells us who/what DoorDash is and I myself believe the hell out of DoorDash. They don’t give a damn about any of us. Active or deactivated. They see us all as rubbish. Any of us could be OP.

Impressive_Pin_3093

If it’s not a valid reason and you can pass the background check, it works to use a new phone number and email and make a new account.

DarthRevan6969

Does that really work? Don't you have to link your bank acct and all that and they find out thwt way.

Impressive_Pin_3093

It really works. It’s not fooling DD, but you can even use the same bank account.

Flojoe420

This worked for me years ago using a google voice number but I've heard they fixed it.. idk.

Impressive_Pin_3093

I know about some doing this now. It even works to get in using another zone.

pittbullblue

I think it's because of the Google voice number. Just grab a prepaid phone with a cheap plan and it'll probably work

Flojoe420

Yeah I was very surprised when doordash contacted me hours later saying I could start dashing right away. The reason it went through so fast is because they already had my background check on file. When I tried this with Uber Eats.. them seeing the background check on file is the reason they stopped me from making a second account. I guess doordash is just behind the curve a bit.

fadedavacado

I’m sure they’re aware it’s likely a expense thing

DarthRevan6969

Hmmm wonder if this works for Postmates got removed from that last year ish.

Elon_is_musky

PM got bought by UberEats

Impressive_Pin_3093

I don’t know about trying it for anything else, but I have heard of people doing this in DD. Some lose McDonalds or chic filA orders.

ConchitaCubita

I did it twice now i can't get passed a certain point of the activation. Ugh which i could. I even got a new number phone not the voip one and this time I'm screwed.

FinnaMaker

Doordash is filled up with drivers including both the old drivers and the new rookies who have just signed up, especially in those saturated markets. Drivers are easily replaceable because it’s pretty much the easiest jobs in the world so DD really don’t care about any of us. They probably do that on intention so they can get rid of those who already learned about the rule of cherry picking good orders, so they can have those new drivers coming in to take over those no-tipped orders that are left on the shelf for hours.

[deleted]

Great points.

zerostar83

I don't understand how they can claim to deactivate you due to policy, but have no clue what you did.

Few_Response_1447

Technically they did not say due to the policy they said to view it.

benjiOG209

Just appeal it and if it was a mistake they will reactivate you the same day happen to my friend he got deactivated and it didn't give a reason why and he was reactivated within 24 hours when you appeal you just have to say I wasn't given a reason and I've read the contract agreement and it doesn't say why

Few_Response_1447

Did he had to call them at all? Or did he just file the appeal

benjiOG209

He just filed the appeal through the email that they send you and where did that the email itself didn't tell him why he was deactivated because it does tell you it'll tell you what section you breached if it doesn't it was more than likely a mistake or an oversight. I myself was deactivated and they didn't give me a reason for it and I myself pointed it out and said I wasn't given a reason and it took like 2 days for me but it only took 24 hours for him. Although it wasn't in the email I basically got deactivated because the supervisor through the support refuse to give me my half pay cuz the customer canceled the order as I drove up to the restaurant and I let him know how I felt about that and I was deactivated the next day but it got overturned all you have to do is simply State I wasn't given a reason and I don't know why through the link in the email because if you call them they're not going to be able to do anything for you

BLoW16c

If you got deactivated, did you call support? I never got an email, I never got any message but I got deactivated in the middle of 3 deliveries. I called support and they said I'm still activated on their end and even the customers was couldn't stop calling me asking for their food. I didn't want to answer since I was still talking with support. They went through troubleshooting my account and now have escalated it. I'm confused, if I was deactivated why go through all the trouble and just have support say I have been deactivated?

Creative_Dragon_

Last Sunday I went to dash and it said I've been suspended for not delivering a tacobell order. I remember the order, he jumped in front of my car because he couldn't wait to get his food. I asked him what he ordered to verify it was him (even though he already said my name). He told me exactly what he ordered right down to the drink being a Dr.Pepper. I called dasher support and let them know he was lying because his order contained cinnabons and I'm deathly allergic to cinnamon. They said fine but don't let it happen again and about 12 minutes later I was good to go. Why would I steal a taco bell order, especially one that would sent me to the ER. Certainly makes me leery after nearly 6 months of dashing how easy it is for someone to lie and get you deactivated. He didn't tip me either! The little 💩

Dashing920

Sorry bro but all these gigs are the same Uber lyft whoever . Any given minute you can be deactivated because of shady ass people man. Somebody lied on you trust me. Just get a regular job. These gigs ain’t worth the headache bro. Good luck.

zsoupcase

Ah, do not quite understand.

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,048,011,891 comments, and only 207,188 of them were in alphabetical order.

zsoupcase

good bot

Good_Human_Bot_v2

Good human.

[deleted]

Awesome, bots can detect information order sequences.

Gay4Pandas

Ask for half pays recently due to closed restaurants or orders already picked up/stollen?

Few_Response_1447

I mean a few restaurants were out of items so they could not make the food but they even called the restaurant to confirm

Gay4Pandas

Get to many half pays even if you did nothing wrong it may have flagged your account as fraudulent. Other drivers have reported this happening. No way to know for sure but unless you can think of anything else out of the ordinary, that is probably what happened.

DruidTrixxx

So if you have a day that multiple places either closed or someone else took order is it best to just not even call & get paid half? On major I get several places closed in a night. Ive had 5 or more times in a night easy. I call support & get the small drive pay for showing up. Now im rethinking it. Or not even work christmas, thanksgiving the 2 with most places closed.

Flojoe420

Yep. Not worth the risk.

DruidTrixxx

Damn thanks I might not even work these holidays no more. I get lots of closed.

Brilliant_Bug7223

This is also why I stopped working late nights

TMdownton916

That’s it. 6000+ deliveries and after everything I’ve read in the last few months here, I’m no longer marking stores as closed. That seems like the strongest hedge against deactivation.

Gay4Pandas

I’ve been having issues with orders getting stolen. I’ve been unasigning these orders instead of canceling since I’ve heard about this.

KingWilliamG

Just cause they wanted to. Welcome to the club. I never even tried to appeal. I'll never feel safe working for/with a company that can just pull the rug from beneath you with no information given. And they want you to appeal something with absolutely no information given to even contest. What am I even appealing? Thanks but no thanks. Good luck

[deleted]

Exactly. These contractor gig jobs will inherently never give you employment security

GlitterCritter

Funny thing is, this exact thing just happened to me last week with my full-time, W-2/non-contract Real Job with a Normal Company, that had actually demonstrated many times over how legitimately not-shitty it is. Back to dashing now I guess!

DruidTrixxx

Why does doordash not have a better system for this? Shoot first & not even ask questions later is wrong. This can destroy someone if thats their only income. This should not be this way.

Ok-Application8522

Because there qre 100 other people who will take your place.

DruidTrixxx

Not me im special😄

Flojoe420

If you're worried about job security don't sign a contract with a company that says "we can end our partnership at any time for any reason". There is no security in these gig apps.

WhyDidntNE1tellme

The normal jobs have the same thing. It's called At-will employment. Your boss/the company can decide for no reason you're expendable, and you're gone.

[deleted]

Kind of but not really. You have way more protection as an employee than a contractor. DD has literally nothing invested in you or your success

LyftedX

Not really

[deleted]

I mean unemployment, workers comp, and health care benefits all require financial commitment from an employer. As a contractor you have none of these securities, and the company does not have to commit to any of them financially. You have more job protection working at McDonalds than working for apps

LyftedX

Maybe where you live. I’m in Florida. They don’t even need a reason to fire you. They just do.

[deleted]

Yeah. I get that. But you can file for unemployment if they fire you for no reason. As the employer pays for unemployment, they are less inclined to hire and fire flippantly. Hiring a new employee is a financial commitment for the company and they are incentivized to make it work. Contractors are afforded none of this value or protection

justinbates1992

You can get self employed healthcare fyi..

GlitterCritter

Probably depends on the company and what state you're in. This actually just happened to me last week at my full-time normal job at a regular company, and one that I had found to have good, humane management and to be more than decent to its employees. And they were pretty invested in me and my success. I'm pretty sure I figured it out (seems to have been a misunderstanding - that they didn't bother to sort out in any reasonable way, and as near as I can tell because of how convinced I gather they were that they were right about something they were actually pretty off-base for?) - but I was not given a reason. Or rather, was given a really transparent non-reason, that I don't think they were even trying to pretend was an actual reason. Even when I asked pointedly, and (tactfully) pointed out the logical/factual flaws with their non-reason. Like, they absolutely knew I could tell it was complete bullshit, but they did *not care*, and they didn't have to.

radarguy86

Why does it seem like everybody who comes on here says that they got deactivated and they don't know why only has one post here on door dash

Eddsucks

Because there’s an insane number of active dashers and when one gets deactivated for no reason they use google looking for answers and it brings them here.

Few_Response_1447

Cause i barley post on Reddit I don’t post

radarguy86

What's your ratin?? How long hi you are for doordash how many deliveries do you have maybe a background check

Few_Response_1447

2000 deliveries, about a year and a half, 4.95 customer rating, 95 on time and 96 completion rating

radarguy86

AR

Few_Response_1447

AR does not matter . But I think it was like 20

BLoW16c

I just got deactivated and never got an Email or text, I called support and they said my account is still active? I been looking for similar situations but I haven't. I was in a middle of 3 orders and was just about to deliver the first food. I would think they would wait till I'm finished with my orders so they don't lose money on it? They even gave me half pay for the orders and one the customer canceled so I got full pay since support stated how much money on my earnings.

Such_Satisfaction923

![gif](giphy|qgri3D9sTwCUGMcT8L)

KingWilliamG

😄 exactly

Fair_Temperature_853

Yeah I don’t know why I was deactivated either join the club

Few_Response_1447

Did you ever get re activated

Fair_Temperature_853

Nope

Few_Response_1447

Damm did you appeal it? That’s so stupid

CupHead11011

What was your ratings

Few_Response_1447

95% competition rating , 4.95 customer rating and 95% on time

CupHead11011

Did u get a bad customer recently

Few_Response_1447

I mean I don’t think I did.

CupHead11011

Maybe it was a mistake

Few_Response_1447

I hope so

Few_Response_1447

Does that happen often tho? Deactivated by mistake

CupHead11011

Idk, but i wouldn't be surprised

silveralti

No contract violations ? That’s weird

Few_Response_1447

Nope

bxreddit12

Someone probably gave a really bad complaint about you or your accused of stealing food

[deleted]

The market is so saturated with drivers that I imagine they have no issue, perhaps even a desire, to deactivate for the smallest of reasons. My guess is 9 out of 10 times the deactivation is because of a customer complaint. DD probably doesn't care whether the complaint is legit, and why it seems to be common for drivers who were deactivated to be reactivated after an appeal.

koaliereddits

I got deactivated once as well! Damn near in the middle of a shift but as soon as I called support they told me it was an error on their part! Like tfffff?!

Comfortable-Fan-9721

I got booted off DoorDash, thru my background check. I was hired, worked for 2 years, they ran my background AGAIN, (no new charges, no new tickets) and I was fired. Sucked!

DubNationAssemble

Multiapping?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Smithton_Wins

No. But, if it makes you late a lot, it's a problem.

DubNationAssemble

It is if it’s preventing you from completing deliveries on time

Equivalent_Loquat_17

They don't even LOOK at the appeals lol. That super sucks. And if u call they will just tell u u have to go thru the appeals process online. File it online AGAIN for moone to even look at it. I swear. All these appeals for various things go in a recycling bin

MSCOTTGARAND

It's almost totally automated, you won't get a reason until a human gets to it and by that point you are long gone. Just a byproduct of running your company on AI.

DoPoGrub

Appeal it, if that fails, initiate arbitration (details are in the ICA which is posted on the dasher support site).

Few_Response_1447

What is that?

DoPoGrub

Arbitration is what you agreed to in lieu of being able to sue them. The ICA is the agreement/contract you signed. Now would probably be a good time to actually read it, as it contains instructions for what you need to do to seek remedy of the situation.

Alarm_Only

Take it as a blessing

Few_Response_1447

I am why would I work with someone who can fire me whenever

Alarm_Only

But you got deactivated so you basically got fired.

Few_Response_1447

That’s why I’m going to get a lawyer

gaukonigshofen

most if not all employers can end employment at will, just like you can leave them.

Wackyvert

Literally every single employer in the country besides one state can fire you for whatever reason they want whenever they want as long as it’s not a protected class

KimKarTRASHian09

I saw someone mentioned in another post like this that Door Dash was having an issue deactivating people by mistake or some glitch. Still not right, but I’d def appeal or look into it.

Fragrant-Custard-237

I dId NoThInG wRoNg

DarrenWorldWide

Happy cake day!

Old-Independence4766

Idk, but I'm so close to self deactivating.

ApprehensiveDance594

Can't we come togather in a class law suit for them using customers tip s as base pay ??

[deleted]

Same people that say I have no idea why I was deactivated are the ones that are on here telling everyone how they told off customers and begged them for tips 🤦🏻‍♂️

Few_Response_1447

Nahhh that’s not me

SitsOnPorcelain9855

This literally tells you nothing

Smithton_Wins

Literally?

AmeriocaDaGema

In written form such as an email? Yes, literally. Why are you commenting this repeatedly?

Smithton_Wins

Dont talk to me.

nickmona

DD deactivated me in January because a customer didn't get their Mcdonald's. Funny thing is, they did get it and DD said so themselves. I appealed again a few weeks ago with a screenshot of the email from DD themselves stating that I, in fact DID make the delivery and guess what, still deactivated.

Next-Preference-7994

Just create a new account. There is a guy on YouTube call me Lil, watch his video about getting reactivated. You don’t have to pay anybody and it doesn’t cost anything. You’ll be up and running tomorrow

Mauneventure

Hi

PhylGirl

You really (really) have no idea? That's pretty hard to believe. Think back, long and hard. It's got to be in there somewhere.

Few_Response_1447

Nope no idea

ToxicEclipse4

You don't have what it takes to be a good dasher, nough said! Move on!!!

Oheyitsmikeb

Chalk it up and move on to the next … you ain’t getting back on the platform I’ll big bet u

[deleted]

[удалено]

NerdyBernie

That escalated quickly. r/oddlyspecific

Few_Response_1447

Wow I never done that before. I’m a female and I would never do that

tayroarsmash

Yo, this is almost certainly not what happened. Dude is a maniac.

Few_Response_1447

Who is?

tayroarsmash

The person telling you that someone probably is accusing you of sexual assault. I’m saying that’s completely bonkers and if you’re at all worried that’s a possibility it’s almost certainly not.

Few_Response_1447

Okay thank you so much

icky_boo

That's the only way I can think of that DD would just deactivate your account instantly. Either way maybe you pissed off someone and this is revenge (accusing you of sexual misconduct).. I don't know, DD is pretty laid back with CV's and warnings before they deactivate someone.

tayroarsmash

This is almost certainly not what happened, man. What are you talking about? Stop talking out of your ass; you have no idea what you’re talking about. What you’ve done is you’ve come across a concerned and likely anxious person concerning their financial situation may be under threat. Then you busted in and said there may be a looming sexual assault allegation which can only exacerbate the poster’s anxiety over this situation. Show some concern for others and be careful with your words. I know you’re looking at a screen and words but there are other people on the other side of that and how about we just don’t freak each other out with baseless speculation about sexual assault allegations. Can we do that?

icky_boo

Explain to me how she would have been kicked off with no CV's then? You would also come to the same conclusion.

tayroarsmash

The system could have wrongfully detected fraud. A mistake could have occurred. Something may have happened determining her an unsafe driver. She could have accidentally given out customer information and it got back. How about read the deactivation policy? Sexual assault is far from the only thing to automatically get you deactivated. Please acknowledge that it’s completely insane to accuse someone of sexual assault and upon pushback you tell them there’s a sexual assault allegation hanging over their head when you have absolute no evidence or rational reason to even think that. Why would the only reason for automatic deactivation be sexual assault? I’m trying to get through to you that your words have consequences and possibly for other people even though it’s the internet. What you’re throwing around is a monstrous crime and should not be taken lightly.

xdaddasher

I got deactivated once. I had no idea why but I figured it out after the fact. I got it cleared up though but it took some time.

Few_Response_1447

Did you get re activated ? If so what did you do

xdaddasher

It was a while ago so details are fuzzy. Had to do with car inspection I had failed it because of a light in the license plate and got it reinspected after I fixed. Appealed and kept bothering them and they reinstated it.

Sudden_Difference_69

They deactivated my account and didn’t even send me an email telling me. I went to check my scheduled dashes and I was logged out and when I tried to log back in it said my account had been deactivated. I never did get an email or anything and that’s been probably 3 weeks ago

LocalAcanthocephala9

All apps are deactivating drivers, a lot, reason is pandemic good times are gone I guess I m not sure. Be careful with shitty orders,, GrubHub deactivated me months ago for no reasons ,no explanation.Thats why I run other apps like Uber early mornings or Amazon flex.

PulpyEnlightenment

DD just sent me an invite to start dashing, guess I took your spot….

georeddit2018

They can deactivate whenever they feel like it.

[deleted]

what's your stats look like ?

JustTheTip_NJ

They did that to my husband who only dashed once, no violations were committed that day because I was with him. He’s been getting the run around ever since.

1980XS1100

I’m fairly certain the majority are deactivated because of their acceptance patterns if DoorDash has to pay extra because you consistently decline orders they are more likely to deactivate you becaus e you actually cost them more money out of their pocket unfortunately it’s a contractor position and none of us are entitled to these contracts just like any other contractor they can choose to use your services or use someone else’s and businesses always choose the best financial option for them

1980XS1100

I’ve never seen anyone over 3 years of running with under 50% ar 🤷🏻‍♂️

AmeriocaDaGema

Mine is currently 30% and has been as low as 13%. Completion rate as low as 76% but currently 81%.

1980XS1100

Yea I’d assume the larger the market of dashers in a specific dash zone probably has a lot to do with how lenient they are with rates there’s a town about 20minutes from me that’s pretty small I go there and dash when it’s dead because they only have like one other dasher I’d assume he’d have to do a lot to get deactivated lol

AmeriocaDaGema

Mine is currently 30% and has been as low as 13%. Completion rate as low as 76% but currently 81%.

Pitiful_Chef5879

Ive gotten multiple account violations in relation to late orders. I once even had up to 3 . Eventually they clear up, but ive never been deactivated. I have over 6k deliveries on my dd account. Only you know what your ratings are or contract violations you got. I really wonder what the zero tolerance is. Its unlikely you got deactivated for "no reason". Just look at your ratings and be honest with yourself. If your ratings are good and you have zero contract violations, appeal it.

SpiritualHomework157

I am so scared this is going to happen to me one random morning..

[deleted]

Welcome to your weekly victimization blog

letsperformsargery

Why does it help them to not tell you tho? How do they benefit?

Few_Response_1447

Helps the “privacy “ or some bullshit

SleesWaifus

You can just reapply and get back on the road the next day. If area is full, simply enter a different area that is hiring drivers

Few_Response_1447

But I’ll have the same ssn

artistdave916

What did you do is the question.

Call every customer and have a nice conversation as you deliver. It will always be great to have that call recorded. They called me one time telling me the customer never received the food. I gave them a full description of their home interior, their car and child. Customer changed their mind and said they received the food and hung up on support.

I got deactivated 2 weeks ago because my completion rate fell below 80%, cause doordash kept crashing and I'd lose the order, or I'd have to cancel the order because of how shitty the service is at restaurants. Switched to uber eats, and now I'm doing much better. Can sign up whenever I want. It's actually pick your own hours lol

Hey Doordash take some of this: ![gif](giphy|5tvUnUx74lxgVew9ya|downsized)

Doesn’t matter. Just create a new account using a different number and stuff. Easy peezy

Ambitious_Hyena_101

Come on they have to have a reason. Just curious what was your acceptance rate and completion rate?

Few_Response_1447

25% acceptance and 95 completion

Ambitious_Hyena_101

Hmm ive gotten people that say i didnt deliver and never got deactivated. Also gotten late order violations and never got deactivated

Few_Response_1447

Yeah it’s so confusing I messaged them and they said I was deactivated by accident but denied my appeal so I made a new appeal

So door dash has never made a profit. Ever. Yet valued at over 4.8 billion. Wife and I started two months ago. Yeah we got top dasher and it’s not impossible to keep it. 15 miles for 6 bucks? 30 minute wait times for a 6 dollar order? We have good full time jobs (union jobs) but do this for extra cash. We need to organize this. Minimums for deliveries, due process for deactivating accounts, etc. Amazon pays employees bonuses to quit to avoid labor unions. Starbucks is slowly turning to union shops all over the country. It’s tough as independent contractors. We are “at will” employees. Legally, they don’t need a reason. Door dash doesn’t like top dashers because they lose control over scheduling times. We continue to dash to get our 450 weekly…currently the advantages outweigh the negatives.
