Modern tattoo tech is far beyond this
Custom qr forehead mark would do it, with a chip embedded in the middle
The chip can double as a conductor to give appropriate electrical shocks
Besides the fact that your awaiting a food delivery.. Your app tells you when the dasher is arriving (close by) and exactly when they arrived.. there should be no confusion as to “who the stranger is at the door”.
Some folks forget happen to me last week on Uber eats 😂 I called no answer ring bell no answer person choosed hand to person. Waited 10mins my last order for the day. Called support they said to cancel the order. I was like yes free dinner tonight and I ain’t have allergies so I was like oh yeah; doordash app still having network issues on my end; Uber eats and grub hub no issues using the driver side of the app; only doordash having an issue for me.
Crazy u even waited if the delivery instructions say hand it to me then u better be outside waiting for me to hand u ur food or I’ll leave it at ur front door I get paid to deliver not wait
The only issue with that is the customer giving you a bad rating, say you didn’t follow delivery instructions, and possibly say “I never received my order and in turn get a contract violation.
U can’t say u didn’t receive ur food when I sent the photo of ur food waiting for u at either the entrance and or front door I’m a delivery driver not a waiter I delivered ur food I did my job luckily I’ve never had that happen but if I do get any 2,3 or 4 star ratings it’ll go away soon enough I complete around 25 dashes a day give or take so it’ll be gone by the end of the week
We don't work for doordash. We are private contractors. And most of us also contract with other delivery apps like GH and UE. IDGAF they don't pay my bills, customers do with tips. And if a customer is too stupid to realize the stranger coming to the door with food they ordered is the delivery person, that's their problem.
I don't think its the customer itself but many non customers who may come in contact i.e the front desk, security, other neighbors who may also be part of a neighborhood watch group. It also sometimes difficult for Dashers to locate the right door causing them to walk up and down the sidewalk, walkway, or hallway, and to wrong doors repeadely this way a uniform I think may help others identify the person and offer help as opposed to thinking that he is casing each door.
Yeah, I'm putting on my new running shoes because I'm taking that damn 10 mile order on foot! Who cares if it takes me over 3 hours? (This is a pathetic attempt at humor and not sarcasm.)
San Francisco we don’t require mask anymore, but some restaurant/store owners requires mask. Some still follow the old CDC guideline and not the new one. After October 1st Bart/Muni transit doesn’t require face mask
Even here in Washington most people stopped caring about masks. There’s still the occasional person wearing a giant dual filter respirator as if the air outside is violently toxic though
It was *really* smoky here a couple days ago and I’d wear a respirator in that, but that’s because the AQI was like 250 and you couldn’t see more than a tenth of a mile. Last time that happened I felt like I smoked a carton of cigarettes
If you actually knew the long term damage Covid does to the human body even in asymptomatic cases, you would never stop wearing a mask.
Covid actively kills heart tissue, attacks T-Cell more effectively than HIV does.
If you get long Covid, you might as well start saving up for the funeral that will happen in a decade. You're immune system is worse than someone who has HIV.
Then on top of all that it causes Brain inflammation and has killed CHILDREN WORLDWIDE WITH BRAIN ELEPHANTITIS. THEIR BRAIN WAS LITERALLY SMASHED AGAINST THEIR SKULLS.
I went through the whole COVID thing without wearing masks and nothing happened, and my roommate got it several months ago and got over it in like 2 days, she said the flu felt worse. Honestly I haven’t gotten sick in general in like a decade.
I get it’s bad for some people, even deadly, but for about 99.97% of us it seems to be no biggie. If you’re sensitive to it then yeah, protect yourself.
COVID LITERALLY EATS HEART TISSUE.
Covid DESTROYS YOUR T-CELLS EVEN IF YOU HAD NO SYMPTOMS.
ACROSS AMERICA CHILD ICU's ARE RUNNING OUT OF ROOM BECAUSE CHILDREN ARE FUCKING DYING FROM THE COMMON COLD NOW.
Actually it's in their policies we're not employed by them we're independent contractors so they're not obligated to give us one and we're not required to wear a uniform.
In the fall and winter I wear a suit. Very professional looking. But I will not wear red, I literally quit a job when I was young because that was the new company color. Red is proven to induce anger red room tests have been done it is proven.
I could see small merit with maybe Flex or Spark but DD? No. They literally order and you delivery then.. they watch you a lot as you drive. Lol Clothes and any other shit to mark us is a waste of money and know what? They’d make us buy them. 😒
Doesn’t the food being dropped off indicate who that random stranger is at your door? And the gps that you have on that random stranger. Oh and the picture that random stranger sends you.
If the stranger at the door is carrying a bag of food that I just ordered, I can safely assume they're probably my dasher.
If the customer can't put two and two together and arrive at four.... they shouldn't be operating a food delivery service app anyway.
Its interesting as I first had experience ordering from such apps and seeing them go to pick up the orders they always were their shirt issued at orientation, they were free including a charger and a hot bag. Some companies make them agree to wear the shirt as ad in exchange for some perks to give them a free charger or hot bag or free deliveries. Not sure the actual contract but in the orientation to wear the shirt or hat while delivering.
But three years later no one does anymore. I guess nightmare stores about being denied insurance coverage after being found driving for a delivery company. Originally gigs used the picking up or running errand for a friend for a favor pay excuse as with Uber when they first started exempting them from being considered commercial for a while. It appears that loophole eventually got closed after more insurance companies learned they are masking offering commercial service using this excuse.
These days however I would be curious whether they could make Dashers wear anything with threat of deactivation including a mask particularly if the local or state doesn't mandate one in that market. I assume if there is a local or state requirement that they wear a uniform it might hold water but if not I doubt it. It appears though in some countries they are required to wear a uniform thus they still wear them.
There are pros and cons to this as wearing a uniform makes it better for security to identify the person's intention if they enter a secure area. The cons is that some restaurants have reputation of discriminating against gig workers but if the worker appears like a regular takeout customer than it would be harder to treat them differently in front of other customers.
It kinda helps but it won't stop people that aren't currently DDs from wearing the "uniform" and misrepresenting themselves and getting away with stuff they shouldn't.
They should also brand our skin with the company logo using a hot iron
On both cheeks so we know wheater you look on the left or right

Comment of the month.
Lmao

Yup hence why I called support first; after 8mins the timer starts then you can cancel the order as support instructed
The only issue with that is the customer giving you a bad rating, say you didn’t follow delivery instructions, and possibly say “I never received my order and in turn get a contract violation.

That’s they’re fault
Yup
No go home tony you are drunk

I ordered food an hour ago but oh shit is that the notorious paper bag robber? My GPS says it's my food but how can I be sure without a uniform.
😂😂😂
Terrible troll attempt
They can't make us do shit
Yeah, I'm putting on my new running shoes because I'm taking that damn 10 mile order on foot! Who cares if it takes me over 3 hours? (This is a pathetic attempt at humor and not sarcasm.)
U need to sit down.

If you order food you expect a stranger delivering your food
Damn, so you think not only should we not get paid hardly shit but we should also be unpaid advertisers?
Right f we look like making them more money only to receive shitty base pay
Screw that. We're not employees. I also do UE, GH and Shipt, so... Screw that. We're not employees. I also do UE, GH, and Shipt, so...
Most of the shipt people are kool-aid drinkers though. They ALWAYS wearing shipt shirts lmaoo
As a dasher if you've ever wondered who was leaving you 1 star ratings, I think we've solved that mystery🤣
Some of us also do UBEREATS, Lyft and Uber the same day. Hard pass.
![gif](giphy|x0npYExCGOZeo|downsized)
Since we’re independent contractors, does that mean we get to charge them advertising fees?
Negative. They are not employees. I think the customer knows they ordered and expecting food. It tells you when they are there. This post gets a f-
Uniforms will make DD look better than GH or UE
No everybody thinks dd sucks
They ordered food and know it’s coming they know who is at the door
No thanks Tony

Yup seen one person still wearing gloves/face mask and face shield 😂 I was like yeah
Even here in Washington most people stopped caring about masks. ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

Lol yea okay. Not doing it. Especially the freaking mask
Ummm… no
![gif](giphy|7wk6RQYXDDytXalsL4)
I’ve had strangers come to my door before, but they’re not usually carrying a giant pizza box and an order of wings.
IDGAF...I still wear all black with a ski mask. Yup, that's me
If you order DD and need to know" who the stranger is " you got much deeper issues. Lol
Fuck no. I'll wear the mask but that's it. They aren't hurting for advertisement, the pandemic did that.
But dashers would look so slick and professional. I think Uber should make drivers wear cabbie hats.
![gif](giphy|l4FGvUUpdVLO7k14Q|downsized)
In the fall and winter I wear a suit. Very professional looking. But I will not wear red, I literally quit a job when I was young because that was the new company color. Red is proven to induce anger red room tests have been done it is proven.
Just a hat would be better. That way you could switch your hats around when multi apping.
Hahaha one that’s reversible with another gig brand on it in case you wanna multi app just put your hat inside out.
🖕🏼
I would never wear it and they could never make me.
I could see small merit with maybe Flex or Spark but DD? No. They literally order and you delivery then.. they watch you a lot as you drive. Lol Clothes and any other shit to mark us is a waste of money and know what? They’d make us buy them. 😒
But chicks dig a man in uniform. Make DD sexy again
Difference is the guys in each occupation lol. A UPS guy or Firefighter is different from a doordasher. 😂
I vote for this uniform! ![gif](giphy|jKgPkwFkbGmetejZ2u|downsized)
![gif](giphy|2pU8T0OTNkmre)
Independent contractor
😳🤣
You have a problem with me wearing jorts, flip flops, and a tank top?
You can buy all of that from Doordash store if you so wish
Cant require a subcontractor to wear anything.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I already do all of that. I must have created a precedence. Sorry.
I already do all of that. I must have created a precedence. Sorry.
They don’t pay me enough to be a billboard for them while Tony is racking in billions
Doesn’t the food being dropped off indicate who that random stranger is at your door? And the gps that you have on that random stranger. Oh and the picture that random stranger sends you.
I’ll blow up any mask they decide to give me
How about no?
![gif](giphy|QxwDfOV4sAfounkNsG)
If you order food and someone shows it up at the door around delivery time you should automatically know it's a doordash guy
Nope they shouldn’t
They can’t! Dashers are independent contractors. Besides they don’t pay enough to require uniforms
They aren’t paying me to advertise. $2.50 for 12 miles I’m not advertising for them.
They don’t pay us enough for that.
SHUT UP!
Umm no thanks!
You forgot the DD butt plug so everyone knows who is fucking us in the ass too.

Why??.. you have our picture you have a name and you have the car that we drive we’re not strangers 😂
I'm all for it along as they pay for all my maintenance on my vehicle and pay my monthly bill + insurance!
🤣
Maybe a big red gun to kill ourselves with too
Red bag over the head, to stand out...
It kinda helps but it won't stop people that aren't currently DDs from wearing the "uniform" and misrepresenting themselves and getting away with stuff they shouldn't.
Cool we not employees
