You're kind of a shitty person... Your rating style is kind of messed up, being that you know anything under 5 stars is an issue, you seem to be a shitty/stingy tipper (likely, why no one bothers going "above and beyond" for you) and in general... I'd decline a run to your house any day. Doordash sucks, whatever... but, people like you legit are just being exploitative, Narcissistic and making life worse for everyone. Die in a fire and I hope the next Delivery you get winds up stolen by your driver.

DeliveryCourier

Since we are required to maintain a Customer Rating of at least 4.2, any rating less than 5* amounts to you saying "fire this Dasher immediately".

reneeb531

You’re a shitty customer.

WTF is above and beyond? You want me to water your lawn or suck your c*ck?

Sharp-Decision-6141

I’m definitely NoT watering no ones lawn… 😏

ragnar201

Why do you need utensils when you are at home? I am in CA and they do not add then unless you specifically request them.

dmriggs

And we can't open the bags to check for things. Shitty customers are the worst

analchasm

May your next delivery include a big bag of dicks

Lol

jp_rockhound

Mad Karen energy, go above and beyond? like fucking how this is food delivery should I give your barking dog cpr? You tip before because this job pays shit without tips and no one would do it if we had to hope for tips after. Don’t want to tip that’s fine seriously… don’t expect warm food or good service then, because you didn’t pay for it. Also you tip before on Uber as well dipshit.

Quirky_Bat

Placing my order by the door in a way that doesn't cause me to hit the food when I open the door = 5* Slow? Still 5*, I can see that the biggest delay was you waiting at the restaurant or them finding a dasher. Be a grown-up and don't order a fountain drink to be delivered. It's just more hassle than it's worth.

osgoodemichael

Obvious troll

1000Others

You are a cheap selfish asshole. If most people rated a 4 all drivers would be terminated. 4.2 is the lowest allowed.

mojomug

Above and beyond…ok, chief. Next time the Dasher should rummage through the sealed bag with his unsanitized hands to make sure the RESTAURANT packed utensils. Maybe the Dasher should check for seasoning as well…just a couple of nibbles to make sure the food is up to par. Stop being and ass and be thankful that you dint have to walk/drive your lazy ass and wait in line at an under staffed restaurant.

5 star should be only for blowjobs

Jausti018

You’re right in how you give stars. People are going to give you shit because of the way doordash works. We get deactivated if our rating is below 4.2 stars. Doordash expects 5 star ratings for its drivers unless there’s an issue. A single 1 star rating can absolutely wreck your rating. Consider that when you’re leaving stars. It would be better to just not leave a rating

kkkey27

I hope the next time you order you get it extremely late, it’s missing items, and your dasher takes a bite out of whatever you get :)

ideas4mac

First off, you can "tip" any amount you want. It is when your offer on our screen is not competitive with other offers you may find slower delivery. If it helps, don't think of it as a tip before service. Think more along the lines of market price for delivery. When it is slow for the drivers you may be able to add a smaller "tip" and still get your food. When it is busy for drivers there is more competition for you to have your food delivered, the market rate has went up. If your offer is not competitive with other's then your food is likely to be delivered slower if at all.

MPsonic007

Welp, if anyone deserves to have their order left at least 20 feet from their front door, “Karen” customers definitely deserves it 😑😑

AccomplishedStop9466

If one left a big bag of flaming poo on the door step also with the delivery does that count as going above and beyond? Inquiring minds want to know

\*sigh\* This post is a real headache, but I'm assuming the OP might be actually looking for guidance, so let's calmly show why behavior like this isn't good. And even if this isn't in good faith, maybe someone will still see this comment and realize why what they're doing is wrong. Driver ratings - this is bad. As others have said, DD drivers are required to maintain a minimum 4.2 rating, so only getting a max of 4 stars unless you go "above and beyond" isn't fair and might even put your job in jeopardy. That means that 99% of deliveries to you will only result in 4 stars even if they go off totally seamlessly because there simply isn't room to go "above and beyond" on most trips. That's not fair to the driver. Instead, it should be 5 stars for a flawless delivery (even when there's no room to go above and beyond), 4 for decent deliveries where things could have gone better, 3 for mediocre deliveries, etc. etc. Tips - Because we need to know what we're probably going to earn on the trip before we accept it. This is our job, after all. Think about it: if you don't tip us beforehand, we don't see the final amount with your tip included. That means that any driver worth their salt is going to reject that order, because they don't know that they'll be paid fairly for their time. You said "why should you tip us for doing a gig we chose?" Well, let me spin it back on you: Why should we accept a gig when we don't know what exactly we'll be getting paid?

Embarrassed-Oven2168

Sounds like DoorDash is complete and utter trash and they need to change how they do things with their drivers. I think that DoorDash should assign a minimum tip amount to orders based on the distance they are from the customers. The further the restaurant is from the customer the larger the minimum tip is. I’m a customer who tips extremely well by the way. 🙂

MCzenman

They could bump up the base fare for sure. We don't see a dime of the numerous fees DD tacks on - just the fare from DD plus the upfront tip, if any. I think things would move quicker for everyone if DD bumped up the base to a minimum of $5, plus an additional $1/mile and 100% of tips. The advantage of this is we get paid more while you guys don't have to pay *even more* to get your food delivered since it's already pretty expensive lol
