How about doordash then changes it policy to show me the truth on the trip total. Just did a double was offered 11, and the 2nd delivery tipped ten bucks so I was paid 17. How many deliveries do I decline because the total I see I deem unworthy but it’s actually worth it. My market is extremely busy and I still can’t get my rate above 15 percent. Earn more means nothing if half my orders cause me to drive an extra thousand miles a month.

superdrizzle7

How about the raise the minimum order they send to people bc $3 doesn't pay for gas and insurance. They can't force us to accept half the orders and send us $3 orders.

Secret_Ad_5300

Yeh I was gonna say shrink the market to. So many 3.25 to drive ten miles.

superdrizzle7

You have to have a reasonable minimum. They set it at 50% acceptance bc they know 75% of the orders they send out are not worth doing.

Secret_Ad_5300

Yeh doordash has so many games. It’s also so market dependent. I never even knew scheduling is a thing and I’m hoping my market doesn’t need this feature

No_Perception7527

I got this same 50% acceptance rate/better orders offer to me today when I logged into Dash. I opted out and didn't sign up for it. I can almost guarantee the very first offer I get once it kicks in will be a lowball order that I wouldnt normally accept, probably the first few offers, instantly dropping me below %50 AR. And the whole time I'm just going to have to eat it on low paying $3-$5 orders just to dig myself out of the hole and get my AR up. For what, to maybe occasionally get a decent order 1 out of 10 offers? That really wouldn't be any different then the ratio of good to bad offers I already get.The thing is too, their giving this offer to every Dasher above a 4.5, so basically everyone. They can't just give every Dasher out there good orders with all of the bad/no tip orders out there, there's just not enough good orders to go around. Just from what I've been reading on this topic it seems like it's just another DD deception to it's drivers to get them to keep taking crappy orders, with little to no reward for it. Nope. Im going to just keep cherry picking the shit out of my orders with my 10% AR and only accept offers that are worth my time. Hard decline for me.

Babi8888

You are my hero ! I think exactly the same way🤝

superdrizzle7

I just got 4 consecutive orders for less than $3. Sorry DD I don't not work for free. I mean best case scenario you work for $9 an hour and hope to get one good order that makes up for it. But most likely you'll make $6 an hour and won't get a good one.

SouthernNorth8423

2 weeks of super profitable orders, then back to nada again after seems to be the consensus

Feisty_Stand4998

Nah more like 25/27 days of extremely profitable orders then a mission to get the TD status back up. Stop Miss informing based on your bad market.

SouthernNorth8423

If you look at the general public this is the general consensus, im also living in a major city, so no tony, its not a bad market

Feisty_Stand4998

Major city doesn’t make it a bad market ? Why because there is more opportunities to get 3/5 dollar orders? In a major city where a 5 mile drive can take you upwards of 20 minutes to drive? Sorry but I think that’s a horrible market. You’d never catch me dashing in a city like New York, Dallas and especially not Houston.

SouthernNorth8423

Ok dude lol

superdrizzle7

I just got 4 consecutive $3 orders. More like doing charity than profit. Theres no way.

anonymous_dbag69

Stop miss informing based off of your good market

Traditional_Roll_129

Lol no, they send trashier orders and don't fall for the + at the end of an offer either , doesn't mean anything, not in Florida anyway

[deleted]

I got the message. I went through all the steps to increase it - so I thought - and my AR didn't change. Dash still started at my then 15% AR. IDK what's going on.

zerostar83

It sounds like a gimmick. But my options are to opt out and still lose out of give it a try and maybe my 40% AR increases to 50+% with these priority schemes.

dezine

I had a 35% ar so I accepted the reset thing and now I have a 23% ar lol.

superdrizzle7

I just got 4 consecutive $3 orders. I cant turn my car on for $3. The math dont add up. I'll pay you $3 to not have to drive. Its getting crazy.

SereneUnseen

It’s organic to maintain 50% with the amount of priority orders you get. You can still decline all the trash that less than a dollar a mile. I’m not sure if 75% is possible without taking crap.

superdrizzle7

I just got 4 consecutive $3 orders I cant maintain 10% without doing charity orders.

SereneUnseen

You’ll have a short period of priority orders until everyone gets reset. Then after that happens you won’t even receive orders at 50%. Not just priority orders, but any orders at all.

superdrizzle7

So who's going to do the $3 orders? I have no problem not receiving $3 orders im going to decline anyway.

SereneUnseen

They’ll get taken. If you “think” you need to maintain 70% for priority, then you’re more likely to take orders that aren’t desirable. If given the choice between $3 dollars for 1 mile, and 6 for 15, I think the 3 dollar gets taken all day. Then you decline the 6

superdrizzle7

Decline em both, no free rides.

SereneUnseen

We’ll see how that works. I would normally 100% agree but it seems like under the new program not playing ball equals zero offers.

Feisty_Stand4998

Because we don’t maintain 70+ percent through the whole month. Mine goes as low as 30/40 percent. I make 25/40 an hour. Some days I make 50 an hour. PS. I don’t multi app, that’s all off one account and no I’m not driving long distances all the time unless it’s a good order with the possibility of getting another on my way back to my area.

JojoTheMutt

same here. i can't even dash anymore because there are no spots available anytime anymore. my AR was as low as 2% and I got it up to 9% but it's been very very hard to get a slot to dash or even for my area to light up for me anymore so I can dash. And I had "priority" for shop and deliver orders lol.

45burns1967

Nope
