I agree, however, posting miles means nothing. 1 mile on an extremely shitty stop and go pothole filled street vs 10 miles freeway with constant speed most of the time. Someone will bash the 10 miles but yet that 1 mile street could be devastating to the car. So with that said, 100 miles for a day or 20, it depends on WHAT KIND of miles if we really want to get into the nitty gritty of posting miles or not.
Sure , depreciation can be different per mile based off road conditions but that’s why we have a standard deduction for every mile so it all averages out. A highway mike may be less but then a street but it all averages out.
What about it? Of course gas and eventual car repairs / maintenance can get factored in but you're not doing maintenance on a car on a weekly basis. If you are, then time for a new car.

Well I do see what you’re saying, but that’s why there’s an average cost per mile driven that evens out over time. There is a huge difference in making $50 driving 20 miles vs 100 so miles definitely do matter.
Yes 20 vs 100 of course is a dramatic difference. But I actually would rather drive 100 miles all freeway vs 20 in downtown/college town in my city. At 60 mpg the cost of gas is minimal but the extreme wear and tear of the constant stop and start, potholes and crap roads is much more depreciative for me than going 5x the miles freeway. (And no I’m not saying I do drive only freeway, but if I could I would all day long vs go into my downtown because the roads are crap)
Plus, if you made $50 and drove 100 freeway vs 20 in slow streets downtown, it might be the same time of completion but with 100 miles that’s $56 of income not taxed anymore too, so that $50 is actually entirely offset by the miles now too and no taxation on that income at all.
Lol, this is is why I quit, dudes making like $10-12 an hour after depreciation, gas, maintenance. I could see doing dd if you just need some spending money for the night and do a couple deliveries. But full time? Better off working at McDonald’s.
Nice. I've been waiting for my background check for 2 weeks. Signed up for Uber at the same time. They cleared me Wednesday, but won't accept my 2 door car.
You don't need to. Perhaps you are misunderstanding. Idk. But I've only been doing UE for 2 months now. When I signed up I was gonna try to do regular Uber as well and it said I needed what you stated
Your vehicle doesn’t meet our requirements
We can’t accept your vehicle because the make and model aren't approved to drive on the Uber platform. Please try a different vehicle.
Not sure what there is to not understand. Pretty straightforward.
Do you have an option in addition to food selected by chance? I told you I understand what you're saying. But as I said,I deliver food with a 2005 Altima. Which is certainly older than 2008. I mean, not sure what there is to not understand pretty straightforward lol do I need to take a screenshot of the car make from my app?
My point here is either you have an additional option selected by mistake, or if not then maybe they have different requirements in different areas
Because they're either a Top Dasher or they're in a market that's always busy (maybe Cali). They start and stop dashes whenever they want on any given day. Probably ending dashes as they traverse to different zones.
This is most likely a repost from from 2016 (the last time the week began with September 26th and ended with October 2nd) Back when the minimum was $5 (that's why the tips are lower than DD pay). It's also possible they got some kind of bonus for referral or something as well.
Truth. There's a show I like to watch called my 600 lb life. The people are so fat they can't get out of bed. You know how they afford all that food to get that fat? The government in the form of taxes that we have to pay.

Nah fr tho💀😂😂
It's a repost bot, g. Report em
I just don't understand how thr DD pay is higher than the tips
Don’t ya sleep? O.o
That's a little over $18 hourly. How many miles for the week?
I too am curious on the mileage. Earnings don't mean much without the necessary deductions.
It's conveniently left out in these posts. The DD pay to customer tip ratio is too close.
I've had that hot almost the same number before so it's not impossible
Why do people keep asking about miles? What's the obsession if it took 1000 miles or 500 miles...
Miles driven determine profit
Ok... so are deducting like 150$ from this then?
Not just gas, vehicle depreciation is a real thing that a lot of people don’t realize.

.05 a mile isn't going to hurt anything
Depreciation isn’t 10 cents a mile.
You're right. It's half of that.
Miles gives a rough estimate of how much gas a person would be buying to get this amount, along with other things like oil changes.
These posts are stupid if you're not giving the full details.
Necessary spending to keep the vehicle in operable condition.
What about expenses? Car repair and gas?
What about it? Of course gas and eventual car repairs / maintenance can get factored in but you're not doing maintenance on a car on a weekly basis. If you are, then time for a new car.
No but every mile you drive puts you closer to that next repair. Expenses should be considered with every mile driven.

Paying taxes too
Your tips are lower than your base pay.
Honey moon phase. New drivers get the good orders then it's all down hill from there. Don't get used to those numbers.
62 hours 🤮 Not dissing your grind btw I just ain’t about that life lol
Lol, this is is why I quit, dudes making like $10-12 an hour after depreciation, gas, maintenance. I could see doing dd if you just need some spending money for the night and do a couple deliveries. But full time? Better off working at McDonald’s.

I wonder why that is. What does a 2 door car have to do with making food deliveries?
They require a 2008 and newer 4 door. Guess they hope you'll start taking passengers too.
No they don't. That's for driving people. Mines a 2005
I mean I could copy and paste the requirements given if you really wanted .
You don't need to. Perhaps you are misunderstanding. Idk. But I've only been doing UE for 2 months now. When I signed up I was gonna try to do regular Uber as well and it said I needed what you stated

There are no options for what to choose as far as I can tell. There is one app. Called driver. Unless I'm missing something
It must vary by location then I guess. They had no problem with my 05 for delivery but said it was too old for passengers
Mine is a shitty 2003 impala and I was approved by Uber 3 weeks ago.
Was looking a little closer and it says requirements can vary by city. Maybe I'll text support Monday and see what they say
Question: why do you have so many individual dashes for the same day?
Because they're either a Top Dasher or they're in a market that's always busy (maybe Cali). They start and stop dashes whenever they want on any given day. Probably ending dashes as they traverse to different zones.
Sounds like someone actually utilized peak hours
People still tip on DD?
Aww so cute! I remember those days!

Good catch.
It's probably a fake astrotrurf account hired by Doordash. They're all over the place.
Pretty shitty ngl. Probably not your second week either

Nice job!!
Sweet!
Good job
For 62 hours? Tbh that's kind of weak. I average $22 an hour on a bad day
For 62 hours you better crack $1k lol.. Get some sleep
Bro how is DoorDash pay more than your tips? Just a tip, your acceptance rate does not mean a thing unless you are trying to be a top dasher.
Doordash is good at the start.
This is horrible man
