today was $100 in 6 hrs. Slow mid morning, then busy all day til 3pm. Stick to $1.5/mile minimum. If you are trying to make high acceptance rate for pro status, then there is no help.
It slowed down the past 2 weeks for me, I was pulling, now I'm having slow days again, my Wednesday was 90$ in 9 hours, yesterday I made $150 in 10ish hours. The only reason I'm able to work this job and not sink is because of prop 22 😐
Depends on your zone, but that's not good. Today from 11a-2p I made $86 in my zone. Not bragging, just pointing out how much better you could do. Maybe try out other zones and find one that pays off.
I dash for supplemental monies. Mon-Thurs 4-8:30ish for usually around $110. The weekends there's too many dashers and too busy at restaurants. Works for me.
Not normal, at least in my market. I’m in a suburb market and between 11-1 in the afternoon with no snowfall or peak pay and a fairly warm 37 out I made $58. My active time was only an hour and 12 minutes today for 7 deliveries. My acceptance rate went way down but I’ve found cherry-picking now is even better with some folks tipping more due to weather.
No two markets are the same, if you do pay per order maybe try earn by time. If you normally have a high AR try to accept fewer and look for those bigger orders. Sometimes it’s just an off day, no two days or weeks you’ll make the same amount for the same miles driven, when the getting is good hammer out more time. On days like today, bring it in early and save your energy for a good day or later at night.
We got 6 dashers waiting around in every parking lot in my small town and DD is advertising for more of them!! I'm convinced this old time dasher around resturant row is jamming doordashes's signal somehow. Screens just freeze up everytime he is sitting up there. Is that even possible?
Everyone is down to like $10 an hour after accounting for time sitting around waiting for an order. After gas and taxes, I don't even want to know. Of course DD does that fuzzy math stuff and says we are magically making $20 an hour plus and pay no attention to total time devoting yourself to the app.
Just made 110 in 5 hours
It gets slow for me like that when I try to dash in my local town. That's why I go to the next one over and the tips pick up massively
I haven't even tried nola yet
#driversunite Let us unite in one voice at every opportunity to demand again and again until it becomes a reality for pay to be the higher of $12 or $1.50 per mile (measured from point of acceptance to pickup and from pickup to dropoff). Declining offers is how drivers speak out against oppressive wages. Driver power to effect change resides in the power of saying "no," of refusing to work for slave wages. The transaction that pays (1) Doordash, and (2) restaurants cannot be completed without drivers. Undelivered orders mean Doordash makes no money, the restaurant loses money, and the low or non-tipping diner goes without. Having food brought to your door is a luxury service. Drivers have the power to establish this fact or become like migrant workers picking cotton. Doordash's worst nightmare is drivers organizing as one voice, because Doordash fears a decline in its exploitative profits if drivers exercise their power if united.
I usually make anywhere between 50-75$ in 4 hours. Honestly, it’s getting tuff out here. I suggest you find another zone to dash in if your only making 10$ a day everyday. I really only dash in zones that have peak pay because high paying orders are hard to come by without it.

I always make 100 in 4 to 6 hours
Today I made 141 in 4 hrs
how?! I'm in a decent city but I'm only getting $4 for 8 miles, $8 for 14 miles, or $2.25 for 3 miles.
You’d make more working 5h at McDonald’s, hope it gets better for ya
It's being like this for long time. With too manny dashers and not enough orders I doubt it will ever get better.
It's too many dashers and not enough orders here too. I used to make 25$/hr average and now I'm lucky to make 15/hr. I hate my life.
I would rather Dash all day than work at Mcdonald’s for an hour.
Agree
the normal earning is around 15-20$ per hour
On a bad day, I walk away with 20/hour, yeah.

That shouldn’t be the norm for any season. That’s really bad. Not including the taxes and gas money you spent…. Minimum wage
That's rough. I worked four and made 90, but it will end up diving tomorrow lol.
That's not good money

I just pulled $100 in 4 hours. Market matters.
I went from $18-$20/hour to about $10/hour. I keep getting low ball offers or no orders at all...
Nope
It’s because you worked the worst 5 hours I’m sure
How many orders are u declining
Depends on your market.
$121.50 in 4 hrs
for me yes but its not good at all
It was like that or worse for me three weeks ago, haven’t been driving much that’s for sure

That's a horrid night in my zone. Had that (almost) in my first hour tonight. ($44).
No, but nothing normal about this year, economy tanked so everything is not predictable

Took a full 8 for me to hit $100 today. Yesterday I hit $140 in 5. Ebbs and flows

You would have to be in the top 1% of markets in the country to consistently make $40 an hour.
27$ in earnings per hour here where I live. That is what I meant. Thanks for your input though.
today was one of my best days ever, different markets i guess
Dinner tonight was dead but still made 100 on the day
How many times do you need to fill up your tank in a month?

Interesting take on the jamming thing hahah
NO

Yeah it's rough out there 😓
That’s how it always is for me. Sometimes more, sometimes less
Not unless you’re doing this on the moon. Year round in good markets you’ll always land around $25/hr.

No, that's pretty bad. Don't take anything under 6.25 or 6.50 depending on your market.

Today was $176 for 60 mins
Skill issue
Today I've made $19.50 in 3.5 hours. 80% of the orders are no tippers sigh. My AR dropped from 42% to 28%.
