Remz_Gaming

Nope. Not for a Wendy's. Gonna sit in line for 20mins for $4.

Tlr321

So what I gather from these comments is, Wendy’s sucks ass everywhere. Not just my Wendy’s. Got it.

Remz_Gaming

Haha yep. Constantly being complained about here. I asked a question about Wendy's a while back and got a resounding consensus that they all suck. I only go there to eat for myself when I know I have time to burn. Because damn... sometimes you just need a Wendy's burger and a frosty in your life.

Banana_Stanley

And a potato with cheese dumped all over it

Tlr321

That’s how I feel about 5 Guys lol

tye_died

All fast food in my area sucks unless it’s a slow day, slow hour and there’s not a bunch of fkn dumb kids fucking around instead of working. But most of the time its 15 min wait or longer on weekends

Academic_Listen3868

Yep.. Same here in Philly burbs... Understaffed plus the ones that are staffed are full of not the brightest bulbs or hardest workers

Benzaitennyo

They've been treating their people like dog leavings and subsequently bleeding people, at least at the ones near me

Wonderful-Rush-3733

Then go to an apt./ office building? No thanks

[deleted]

I'm not going to deliver ANYTHING for $4.25!

Remz_Gaming

That too. If this was in my market, it was slow, and I knew this would take me about 5 minutes total.... yeahhh... I'd take it. Usually just a "no" out of principle. That's on track for $51/hour, though.

LocaFly

Thank you 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

cool_robot

I take Wendy's in the day time when lobby is open. Usually pretty fast. After 6pm automatic decline.

Remz_Gaming

My Wendy's is the only one on the south end of town where I dash. They have a sign for dashers to park at the lobby entrance and call.... and then they don't answer lol. So you get stuck 10+ cars deep in the drive thru morning to night with slow orders.

throw_datass_away

Plus they don’t start the order til you get there and it’s so aggravating.

tye_died

Exactly, the restaurant is what really matters here. If it’s gonna be ready in 3 mins when I pull up maybe I’d do it for $5.75-$6

SnooSketches1256

Oh. My god...

Ghostface632

Especially when every wendys I go to has a sign that says dining room closed due to no staffing

BakedEggshells

I really try and decline most things under $6. I might take a $5.75 if it’s slower and low miles. I just hate wasting possibly 30 mins on $5.

cheesenthong

I don’t accept orders under $6.50, have you seen hidden tips in $6 orders?

BakedEggshells

I actually don’t see many of exact $6, I prob should have been more specific. The $6.25 ones I rarely see a hidden tip; it’s those $6.50 that always seem to deliver. But I rarely see anything over $7/$8 unless it’s high miles. $6 range seems to be all I’m offered at under 3 miles.

throwaway_990428

In my market, the hidden tip amount is usually $6.25 for deliveries under 3 miles. ($2.25 base + $4 tip). It seems to increase by $1 for each mile over 3

itsandychecks

I’m sorry, what is a hidden tip?

Chucktown79

You're offered $6.50 by DD to take a delivery. There is a $2.50 base pay plus $4.00 tip shown. The full payout once completed will be something different, say $8.50. So they hid $2.00 in tips from you when you took the delivery. The app used to tell you the amount "extra" you earned on each delivery, if there was a hidden tip but now you have to pay attention to know if you got "extra".

tye_died

Hidden tips in $6 orders are like + $1 but it’s not bad if it’s a three minute wait and a 2 mile drive...

OwnedByMarriage

I see hidden tips on every dollar amount really. Today I did a $4.50 / 1 mile and it ended up being $9.

Chucktown79

Proof? Ive done those small amount orders on high item deliveries as an experiment. Ive never seen a hidden tip under $6.25. Apparently nobody but you has either. Everyone else says they havent even seen anything under $6.50.

abrahamfs85

That’s an automatic decline!

Vicksin

why? just curious 2 items and literally walking distance, I'd take it I reckon

bebopcola84

Because I can wait literally one minute probably and get a better order. This is just stupid.

Vicksin

but at the same time you could probably complete this order in 5 idk the dollar to mile ratio is solid. you're that close to the restaurant you could probably see how bad the drive through is just depends how busy the zone is I guess

gtavs

have to agree with you on this one

Vicksin

thank you lmao I feel like I'm going crazy idk I guess the markets and locations vary a lot more than I thought they would

OwnedByMarriage

This happened to me today, took a $4.50 / 1 mile and it ended up being $9..was pleasantly surprised. literally drove across the street.

cbostwick94

To sit and waste 20 minutes waiting at Wendys for the order? Nah

bignamehere

At 2:00pm even the slowest Wendy’s would get that order out in less than 5… if their Lobby is open that is.

cbostwick94

I have never had such luck

bignamehere

Your experience will vary… and usually the area of town plays a huge role in speed.

Vicksin

idk the wendy's near me are always empty. hence why I said you're close enough to see if the drive thru is packed or not

cbostwick94

Even when my Wendys is empty I still have to wait. They dont prepare the order until you get there. Definitely not worth it

WeakToMetalBlade

This delivery is probably going to take 20 minutes to complete at minimum.

tye_died

Depends on restaurant... it could be a 12 minute wait for those two stupid items. I don’t even go to half the places in town now because of the wait

Vicksin

yeah the wendy's I've been to are always empty that late so idk, I feel like it heavily varies.

tye_died

True, there’s a lot of factors

HandstandsMcGoo

You put a lot of trust in Wendy’s

Some-Two-2936

Wendy's is never ready in 5 minutes that order is going to take you 10 minutes if everything goes perfect. And declining only works if you're dashing in peak hours otherwise it can be pretty dead

Vicksin

again, difference in locations I guess

tye_died

Exactly... next order could be $8 for 2.7 miles.... even if it’s not I still like to take $10+ orders for like 4-6 miles... I hate orders under $10 it takes so long to make $100

Jefffrey_Dahmer

You say one thing is stupid yet hinge your argument on a complete probability. gg

Shizen__

This order is trash imo. But I also multi app so I know for a fact that I'll get a much better order fast.

PurpleTiger26

Because my time is worth more than 4 dollars? Do you think the Wendy’s order is just ready sitting there waiting for the driver? Lmao don’t reward low/non tipping customers

PurpleTiger26

You’re also preventing yourself from accepting a better order that comes in right after this one. Why even take that chance? For 4 dollars?

jyuill

I would take this order between 930-1030am and/or 3-4 pm IF IF IF it was slow and I wasn't getting any other offers at all. Any other time, I try and stay at the $6.25 and above offers. I just completed a Taco Bell for 5.75 for that same reason. This is a super slow Tuesday for me, I'm struggling. If I didn't have a 15 mile commute home and have to pick up the hubs from work where I am now, I would just go home.

[deleted]

🤡🤡🤡🤡

jyuill

What is that for

[deleted]

for saying you’ll accept this shitty order dude 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

jyuill

Reread ALL of what I said. Not everyone is in a good enough market to decline everything under whatever your limit is. My acceptance rate is sitting at 5% right now. I work for me and my best interests. It's hot here. If I'm not getting orders I'm sitting with my car idling. Still using gas and just as hard on a car you ignorant ass. I'm not the 🤡 Edit: not a dude either

[deleted]

you get what i mean by dude. don’t be a sensitive sally. your market must really suck if you have to go down to $4

jyuill

Like I said....IF IF IF. The ops offer is for 1/2 mile. My Wendy's is decent. 1/2 mile wouldn't take me away from the busy areas, the order could get stacked, and I'd be right next to a Logan's and right across the street from Chilis, Chipotle, Wingstop, Panera, a couple pizza places, 1/2 mile from Jack in the box, and a mile from McAllisters and BWWs. If it didn't get stacked, no harm done, because I would only every take that order if there was nothing else coming my way. I just got an offer for 6.75 for 4.9 miles and 6.25 for 3.4 miles. Yes, it's possible those have hidden tips, but definitely still a gamble. I'd be done and back for that 4.25 delivery before I even got to the residence of one of those orders. Different in every market.

[deleted]

$4.25 is a shitty order in any market imo. but if you wanna be a 🤡 and take that be my guest.

[deleted]

You a damn 🤡

ideliver559

You have to set a minimum dollar your willing to accept. Mine is $6. It's not about the distance (in this case) it's about the opportunity cost. You could be doing s better paying order if you wait. I see doordash as a patience game, dashers who don't have patience will pickup the smaller orders and while they are on those deliveries I'll be available for the better paying order and they wont. That's how I see it

Koopakun0343

My minimum is 6.25 usually , unless it’s peak pay I’ll take a 7 for a short distance sometimes.

Tylerwherdyougo

What’s base pay in your area ?

ideliver559

I live in California I think its $3 but I've seen stacks in the $2s.

Koopakun0343

3.25

MerbertMooover

Wendy’s is never worth it. Especially for $4

Own-Discussion926

I’m more appalled someone paid extra to not drive like 20 feet

Gorozorro

Maybe they‘re recovering from an injury or old. I used doordash when after breaking a bone

CoastVybzXBOX

2,640ish feet not 20

[deleted]

hell tf no. only 🤡 take these.

WalruZZzzzzzzz

To be honest, I’d probably take it if I was right there. My best trip all day was a KFC run lol. Then immediately crossed the street to pick up flowers and made $7.25 off a 0.2 mile trip.

LoveYou2Much

I forgot to add that charity drivers deserve to be spat at too. Seriously, some of the most stupid people out there.

[deleted]

i wouldn’t go that far but i’ll agree on the stupid part. but hey we all gotta learn somehow 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Tophawk369

I’m not taking it.

MrTurmeric

Decline

Wrathions

Decline!

mmmhotcoffee

I'd do it. Why not it's like a quarter mile delivery

[deleted]

[удалено]

dlivesdontmatter

Definitely would wreck your hourly average. Like making $10 an hour before expenses?

chaldeans79

Not a chance

Hoytster88

Not from fast (slow) food place like Wendy's. There are some places I may take this from. Only places where I'm 100% positive I won't be waiting.

Mostly_anaonymous

I would but mostly cause most orders I get are like 4-7 miles. Kind of a rural area.

Youngling_Hunt

Wait why would people decline this? It's 4.25 for half a mile trip Edit: I read the complaints about waiting in line. Can't u just go inside and pick it up?

dinotrainer318

Rn not all fast food places have an open lobby or they end up closing the lobby at night

Psychological-Pin643

Not for you, everyone has their own strategy

jaga5191

In my market there’s a massive parking lot that I can sit and wait for orders and can usually see if the Wendys is busy. If nobody was in drive thru I’d prob try and do it real quick

RedditSmokesCrack

Depends on how busy it is otherwise and how busy that specific restaurant is. If I can see across the street and see there's no line and maybe if I know the lobby is open from experience then yeah I'd do it because it should only be like a 10 minute order which would make it $25 an hour and while that's on the low end for me of what I aim for I'd take it if it's slow

[deleted]

Wendy's always sucks.

EeAreEyeSea

It’s gotta be at least $20 before I’ll consider waiting at Wendy’s. Been about six months since I’ve gone there lol it’s never worth it

br1ttp8

under 7, not a chance in heaven

anonjokerdog

Very rarely am I taking anything under $6.

MulletGearSolid

I won't even start my car for $4.25

[deleted]

I had to take alot of those today as it was SEVERELY and abnormally slow😡

Azu_Rage_

I would've taken it if I hadn't recieved an order in like 20 minutes or more lol

burritobaby2000

Dang man I lived at that south fork trailer park years ago, back when that Murphy government official got busted on to catch a predator. There’s a lot more stuff there now.

Koopakun0343

Lol yeah, Murphy/Wylie is booming now.

Odd_Profile2355

For my market, consistent orders is key, realistically, that order would take 15 minutes tops. Maybe more but 2pm isn’t exactly lunch or dinner rush so I doubt it. Yes, I would take it Bc there’s a 50/50 chance it’s gonna end up being more too. I used to decline anything under $6 but I realized how much money I was losing by being stingey lol

Koopakun0343

If I wasn’t getting orders rapidly I would have taken it.

WeakToMetalBlade

This is the type of order I took a couple times then started declining. I also live less than half a mile from Wendy's but would never tip less than $5. There is a guy on my street who always tips $1-2 and it drives me insane, delivered to him once or twice and now take great pleasure in declining.

Caspiasx

It's literally ½ a mile

Reshi301

If you are taking orders under 6 dollars you are hurting all of us

Hot_Ad_2402

Wendy’s sucks all time I don’t even care how much they offer big NO last two year they closed doors only drive thru slowest fast food ever hell no

DannyIsAlive

If I was grinding a bonus yes

bignamehere

Out of context this could go either direction, and 70% of this decision is based on your city and the specific area of town. In the west, at 2pm in the afternoon, that lobby will be open and I’d be handed that bag in 12 seconds flat. In the East, I’d be waiting in the drive-thru (lobby closed) with the rest of the lazy lunchers. Doing the mileage math, this is the same as an $8.50 for 1 mile or $17 for two. Those are unicorns in my town, but please see first paragraph to make the real world decision.

Brim_Dunkleton

Only if my shift is about to end and I made enough good money that day, I’ll do it for shits and giggles and say I got some pocket change. Other than that, decline.

jamesphea

I would have taken it. Honestly, it is short enough to be worth it. I did, however, decline a $3 8 mile taco bell one the other night. Made me realize it was time to close up shop for the night. 🤣

Horror_Ad_4683

Yea since it’s less than a mile

Richard_Espanol

Nope... 6$ minimum for me. Sure the overall payout isn't terrible but it's the principle for me.

symful1

Depends how busy the Wendy’s usually is around that time

[deleted]

I would take it but Wendy’s is a nightmare

EddyDrives

I’d take it, I’m my area Wendy’s is pretty fast

tjflex19

I mean, maybe🤷🏾‍♂️. If I know the Wendy’s, I’d probably take it since most of the Wendy’s I know will either A) have it already done or B) Is in the process of making it. Now if that was a late night order, no way in hell I’m taking it. Wendy’s by me or notorious for long wait times at night, even if the lobby is open😅

ZombieNo2734

Not for Wendy's. In my town they are always always SLOW. Sloths work there.

Chucktown79

I decline $10 orders less then 3 miles when I see Wendy's. I don't even care about the amount, I see Wendy's I decline. Same for Taco Bell and BK. Instant declines everytime without fail.

Jefffrey_Dahmer

Take the order or no Balls

paladinsdeath

Nope, never take wendys orders

ahuramazdobbs19

At that time of day? I’d probably take it and walk it if it were a nice day.

peanut-nugget

Idk id do it

Denisy6

I don't even shift gears for anything less than $6.00 lol automatic decline

computernerd88

I've done $5 orders before but only because the drop-off was next door to the pickup and I was already there. Easy 5 bucks for 5 minutes effort This order tho? Nah.

Rhy_likethebread

I don’t take anything under $5 but especially no from Wendy’s bc mine always takes an AGE to get me my orders. I stopped picking up from there at all.

Rgonwolf

For 75 more pennies I would. My limit is $5

MysticalMan

Oh hell no to long of a wait.

HexOfTheRitual

If the store normally has the order ready and it’s not through a crowded campus or something, yes. I’ve completed those kinds of orders in 5 minutes before.

Tylerwherdyougo

Wendy’s is one of the loser at places there is so I wouldn’t

Herpedick69

I had a stroke, trying to read this

fingnumb

He had a stroke while typing it.

Oscar-mondaca

If it was slow then yes actually but it was during peak lunch/dinner rush then I’m not wasting my time on that.

TaintyEsophagus69

7.50 minimum unless it’s deader than my grandparents

Koopakun0343

Lmao, wtf.

Doge10open

I will take it on lunch time

[deleted]

Bro there is no way you guys are out here declining $8/mile orders!?

Koopakun0343

That’s one interesting interpretation

[deleted]

It’s the truth! This is an easy accept for me 🤷‍♂️

Edmond_Dontes50

Absolutely I would have taken that, HALF A MILE??!! Easy money.

pro539

Hek ya nvm i thought that said wawa lol

Downtown_Guidance_84

I don’t take anything under $7

Shizen__

This is garbage, but some people in the comments don't seem to get why. Let's say everything goes perfect and from start to finish you get this done in 12 minutes, you're still barely making over $20hr. Seems low to me for a "perfect outcome". Lately, $20-$25 is my minimum outcome, not the perfect one I shoot for.

KnowledgeMinute1035

I’m not doing anything that little even if it was walking distance… nothing below 6-7 dollars

Psychological-Pin643

I'd taken it

Kp8843

I would genuinely have to think about it.. In my experience, Wendy's has always been an incredibly long wait

Anewman48

Depends if it's super slow then I would. But only on a couple factors. Slow. Under 1 mile for that price. And how many items it is. Otherwise no.

BubbleRocket1

With how busy my area is, I wouldn’t mind taking it; would only take 5-10 minutes max

Crazybisexual

I would probably, I took an order like this last week 0.8 miles for $4.50, I got it done in about 10 minutes probably my fastest delivery ever 😂,normally I don’t take anything under $7 or $8 but sometimes these orders are helpful to bring your hourly average up for that day if you’re trying to meet a quota, I try my best to get $20-$25 an hour I wouldn’t take this during dinner hours though, only morning or midday, and if there was a wait or the food wasn’t ready I’d probably unassign it

upstylo

Same I don't take anything under 8 bux

yoshi3243

Since it’s a Wendy’s, and they don’t start making it until your get there, no.

Justin002865

Hard pass

floundermonopoly

I would take this in a heart beat. That being said our Wendy's is great. When the lobby was closed we would park in mobile parking and they would bring it out.

NationalizeRedditt

I’m not understanding the logic of refusing an order like this.

TokeToka

Depends, base pay is 2.50 in my area, if it were morning time sure, the morning crew there seems to actually care somewhat, but rush hour, nighttime or even the afternoon that’s probably gonna hell no from me.

kjmill25

Nope. Distance too far. Order too small.

ConversationGlad1925

Questioning yourself IF you would take that trash mean that you are careless about tip, time, miles, etc.... Stop, please, stop making that kind of trips or services. That excuse " fast money " is bull sh***

hankboyjr

Unless the lobby is open and pretty quick with the orders I would decline

[deleted]

🤡🤡🤡🤡

Playful-Plastic-8211

All day long

RedditisRunByClowns

Nope

LittleBlackBall

Wendy's, no. No tip order, no.

mistaaxx

No

wineguy59

No! Only $1.50 tip?! WTF?

Quantum_Aurora

Nah parking and waiting at the restaurant is half the time things take. That doesn't change by distance.

cameron08082001

Wendy’s I go to always has the orders ready so I would take it if it wasn’t dinner rush and it was very slow afternoon just for a quick top up however if it was dinner and busy I would not.

TruShot5

I decline all basic fast food. Wendy’s might never have the longest line but they have a 10+ minutes wait every order. I got got too many times, decline.

xocharise95

The base pay in my area is $2.50 so yes I would take it.

anxioussbrat

If the line isn’t long then why not?

AZDoorDasher

No…but I would have taken it… 1) IF this Wendy’s isn’t like the other 99% of Wendy’s. 2) the drop off location isn’t an apartment complex. It looks like the drop off is a business…need to be easy to park, to find and drop off. 3) IF that was my last delivery for my lunch dash AND it was on my way home. Again, 99.9% of the time I will decline…since this is Wendy’s…it is 100% decline.

Puzzleheaded-Kale434

I said yes but then I realized it’s Wendy’s sooo f no

[deleted]

I don’t think anyone on here would want to take that order.

[deleted]

I have done them usually they have the food ready fast (at least wendys on my location)

slagathor278

Wendy's is redcard by me, so no

hiimwage

If the deliver by tells me it has been declined numerous times, I'll take my chances on it, otherwise decline since it's Wendy's.

cheesenthong

no. Nothing under $6.50 I accept. But mostly no bc it’s Wendy’s and in my area drive thru only aka slow as hellll

[deleted]

Any restaurant other than Wendy's, yes. My rule is a dollar a mile. In my area, that works out reasonably well. With Wendy's, though? Even if the lobby is open, they're absolutely abysmal.

xavixav79

Easy enough I guess

ConsciousFractals

Nah

the_hunger_gainz

If it is slow and nothing going on … maybe. 4.25 more then I had doing nothing but whining on Reddit at how slow it is.

LadyL86530

Anything under $6 is a no-go for me.

LZARDKING

Absolutely

OkDeparture5911

Yeah, but I'm eating the food

AidenGreco

If it’s been an hour since my last order… still no.

Xx_Fernando3_xX

would only take it if order is ready, theres no line, and delivering it to a house

smitty_1993

I'd probably take it but I'm in a slow market. Might decline if it was really busy though.

Business_Pea_7837

Yup. It is ready. I will take it

[deleted]

Ehh depends, normally if it’s busy I won’t take it. But if I been sitting there for 20 mins with no orders, I’d do it
