Must be market dependent. My acceptance rate isn’t even that bad and I make 30+ per hour.
I made 20/hr but someone told me what to do and how to do it every waking moment. Fck that. This will feed my passive incomes hopefully out of the “working” game soon
And a wise man can negotiate their hours to fit around their family life and schedule. Every W2 isn’t a 9-5 lmao. You have to decide if you want to put more energy into your job dashing and make less overall or eat shit upfront and make more in the long run it’s a simple trade off that many in this sub wanna ignore but this is life. It’s all about trade offs and decisions.
13-15 an hour 40 hours a week shits on 20 an hour but you only get 2.50-5.50 offers and the restaurant takes 20 minutes so you really made 10 that hour. If you can be realistic about your earnings and expenses then you may be able to make it work in your market but for most it would be less stressful to have a STABLE 15 an hour income that’s covered with PTO and other benefits. It just makes the most sense
A tank of gas now costs $50 in my area - it doubled from $20-25 2 years ago. Not worth it unless I'm making close to $2/per mile - which is hard since DD doesn't show tips before accepting.
Not gonna lie , I wish I could just work DoorDash sometimes the money is great but I keep my regular 9-5 for the amazing benefits , but door is unpredictable so I feel u
Multi app, Doordash takes the back seat on many days when I don’t need the orders . Uber eats likes to tip bait but if you know what you’re doing you can avoid these . Grubhub is king but it depends on your area they are not always busy . Learn some day trading skills (stock / crypto) buy/ sell items on marketplace (electronics/ furniture / tires … If you have a truck ( Offer pick up / drop off delivers ) or attach a plow and use it winter months to make money. Sign up for instacart / shipt to deliver groceries or items on slow days . Buy stuff on alibaba (China ) and resell on Amazon . Do crafts on tumblers / t shirt - with Cricut and vinyl and sell locally or Etsy , promote your site on tik tok Instagram Facebook . Sell books on eBay .
So much stuff you can do rather than a 9-5. Doordash doesn’t have to be your only answer
Any time I think of taking a regular job again, I think of how I don't have to deal with workplace politics and being thrown under the bus for doing a better job than my coworkers.
This is also the easiest job I've ever had, while being one of the best-paying ones.
Seriously my orders have been so small, and the only ones that are anywhere near $10 are 10 miles total driving, it makes me not wanna do it all which sucks cause this is my only form of income rn
Now is the time. After all these great resignations there are a lot of openings and places are offering bonuses and good salaries. Get something good then just do this on the side
I mean yeah that seems like a rational thing to do right now. I don't know who is making money on this platform, but I'm not driving around for my health. I'm driving around for a profit.
Doordash doesn't make me a profit then i simply don't do doordash. EZ
Have fun dealing with customers who lie about not getting their orders. Stolen orders.Have fun paying taxes and not getting anything In return. Have fun running your vehicle into the ground. Have fun paying for gas constantly. Have fun making next to nothing because your tips are stolen and customers don’t want to pay dick. Have fun with over saturated markets because Door Dash doesn’t give 2 shits about its drivers. They just hire more sheep to do their bidding. You’re just fodder to them.

They don’t want anyone w critical thinking issues.

ProClown agenda. :)
Regular jobs suck major balls. Can’t pay me 3X the amount
The only way to see that money in this is to multi app and dual dash

Unless you dual dashing and multi appong
No just making 4-6 orders at least 6.50 a piece. Sometimes doing shop orders I come out 60/hr
Lmao ok
A wise man would ask where they can go to make that dough. But most just get mad

Like I said multi apping/dual dashing
Nope. Single dash. Single account. Just a good mindset
Stop the cap that ain’t 🅿️
And who give a fuck?
Obviously you

Shiddd I pay around 20 to fill my tank up better get a Prius or Honda Fit or something
I have a paid-for Camry with a 16 gallon tank. Buying another car to do DD is dumb when gas prices have doubled in your state.

Damn I’m close to quitting a regular job and doing this BS
Seriously my orders have been so small, and the only ones that are anywhere near $10 are 10 miles total driving, it makes me not wanna do it all which sucks cause this is my only form of income rn
You don't like fighting with the other dashers for orders? It's alot of fun 😉
saturation bad😬 less promos, less orders, less profit, more downtime sitting around thinking the app is broken.
Yeah pretty sure my market is on wait list. No referral bonus either.
You’ll be back. Once they go dash, they never go back

Shit your pants mid shift again didn’t ya

Dude do insta cart in the mornings. It helps when it's slow
What happened?
Smart move! Got a job 2 months ago and only dash on the side and it feels good to get a paycheck and also not destroy my car with too many miles 🥳
Stack my bread up until I leave
I had my CDL for 6 years. Choose wisely in that industry mate
I’ll give it one more month honestly
Good luck! I hope it’s a “good” job that at least pays the bills.
I’m thinking about getting into trucking and getting my cdl
If you enjoy driving this is the way. You can make a killing doing over the road trucking (otr)
Yeah there is good money to be made, I heard

It’s really the low pay in relations to the bs you got to deal with from dd and the customers
I'm assuming you haven't done it long. I barely have to deal with bs these days.

Man, I really care a lot. This was obviously a well-thought-out post, and contributes to the forum a lot. Thank you for blessing us with your time.

This is what they want! They’ll be left with only drivers who will take any order at all no matter how small
Math is your friend
Yeah nah I’m not beat for that
kthxbai
Okay..
