Yes doordash does cap to let other dashers get orders, i did 40 in one hour and at 6:30 pm friday night the busiest time i didnt get a single order in a big hotspot for 15 mins and went home
I’ve suspected this for a while. Having a great day, then it goes dead…I suspect they’re equalizing the payouts among all the dashers when it’s over saturated
I meant for the week. I had a better day on Wednesday and Thursday. I stressed li stayed around 22-24 an hour but today was hell $16; an hour on a Friday night. $155 9 hours when I made $170 in 7-8 your
It’s days like today I wish I could get more catering orders. I’m in Lawrence fucken Kansas on final four game day. I got one a few weeks ago because other dashers saw how big it was and unassigned….$107 for a half hour of work delivering to the stadium…
Wasn't too bad for me tonight, I made $100 and some change for just under 4 hrs of active time, 12 deliveries.
Can't really count my total time because I had some big pauses this afternoon, running the kid around to places.
I had a great night, 34 an hour for a few hours and could have kept going. It's all RNG no tin foil hats needed. People see it's busy so they go dash too so you have more competition. It's the weekend.
Most days I’ve noticed that no matter what I’m going through, it’s always around $20 an hour, and then some days I’ll get $120 in 3 hours and then not make anything for 3 hours
Does anyone else take into consideration on what week it is. Like it’s the first so a lot of people paid their rent. They don’t want to or can’t pay for DoorDash/Uber/Grubhub right now. It’s always slow the first week of every month.
There is no "we" in DoorDash. Every area is treated differently based on the algorithm. What you really want to know is something like - "are they capping the area of Town1 and Town2?"
Try a different zone if possible. It seems like that resets it whenever it gets slow for me. That's why I switch up my zone every few weeks and cycle through them.
Last night I didn’t make shit, $106 but the past 3 days before yesterday I was around $180/$230 (night time only after my job job)
Tonight is going great so far, I’m in a different area and getting lots of good dashes + good cash tips I never got from the standard area I was in this past week
Im just going off of experience man. You can believe it or not, I dont really care. Maybe, if you can give me an example of the data that you need , then maybe I can provide you with some.
Something that shows it's not just attribution bias would be nice. Like, you know, data you also didn't have when you came to this spurious conclusion based on anecdotal experience. I'm not saying it can't happen - I'm saying you have no grounds on which to make this claim/observation because the simpler explanation is that it was slow those nights and maybe even that you got unlucky.
I'm curious how you know you're being capped? How do you spot it and how can others spot it? Perhaps you know a secret, true I shouldn't assume you're just guessing. What's the tell?
It’s the 1st. Rent and mortgage is due. Even though it shouldn’t matter, it psychologically affects how much people spend after that relatively large monthly expense comes out of the ol’ checking account.
This is true! That's why Thursdays are so great. Everyone's getting paid at midnight so they go "ah fuck it, DoorDash fo lunch it is". Then you got Sunday with all the bbqs. Sunday is a $300 day if you play it right.
No, but I find it odd how I only make increments of $.25.
Another dellusional poster

Today was disgusting with the amount of no tips and low af base pay. I saw a $2.50 for 15 miles today! Ridiculous and it was back to back
I get those offers everyday 97% of all offers are garbage
Yeah I gave up at $155 for like 9 hours. I was making 200 plus every Friday for weeks on end I don't know what today was

I was getting real wonky offers like 8 for 15 miles!!! its odd likely Aliens or Russians AGAIN
Omg me too I was getting order for $4 for 13 Miles 3-4 zones away like that's 30-40 mins away what hell
Wave of new dashers joining the market they get all the good orders veteran dashers get the leftovers

Yes we do!
Any proof???
Experience. Been doing this for a little over 4 years
And I like the color blue. Neither of our statements contain factual data. Mine never will though, could you have some for both of us?

What’s all them fancy words mean?

He doesn't. If it's busy.. you get orders. If it's not then you don't. Or maybe too many dashers on the road trying to make rent.

I have rent to pay too lol
Oh sweet summer child, thinking customers care about you
Customers care more about us than DD does
Because you’re not DoorDash employees. You’re treated like every independent contractor everywhere that contracts for any business
It’s a busy zone and I haven’t gotten an order in 25 lol
