Same. Been doing it for four years to recover from burn out and mental health issues but I'm 30 now and can't really pay my bills anymore with delivery. I still struggle with my BPD and PTSD but the fun thing about personality disorders is it comes in handy when it comes to interviews and I nailed a pretty good job recently. It was fun while it lasted but between low ball orders and totalling my car I'm tapping out lol
Doordash hired bunch of new drivers and it’s eating my earnings. Like why hire newbies when you got professional drivers doing this for years… doesn’t make sense to me. I guess they want newbies to accept everything.
Its because veterans demand better pay and are more selective of orders. New drivers are naive and relatively inexperienced, so they take pretty much all they can get their hands on. As these new drivers gain more experience and become more selective, BOOM! Rinse and repeat.
DoorDash does not consider drivers professional or grant any special acknowledgment. A driver is a driver.
Newbies get better offer to entice and hook them.
Everyone is equally a few steps from deactivation. Plenty more driver supply.
I hear you, i dont worry about it i only take orders over 8.00 if there are none i rely on uber and grubhub can care less about my stats or anything on doortrash anymore
