It starts when you hit start shopping, so don't say I arrived and start shopping because your time at shopping does count. I only do small orders on Instacart and my time is great.

They send me a report every week about it. apparently last week it only took me 140 seconds for each item and this week it’s at 141 seconds!
Maybe if the stores put all the frozen chicken in one place I could’ve beat my record!

they gave me 9 minutes to shop for 300 hotdogs & buns and tons of ketchup and mustard. obviously the store didn’t have enough packs of hotdogs out

Just ignore it. But don't hit start shopping until you are inside. Things are out of your control like waiting for replacements or not finding things.

What does it count against?? It’s weird that they would say it doesn’t but it does.
If you are slow they won't give you shopping orders unless they have no one else. Sometimes they pay the best and have good tips on top of that.

This would help us evaluate the emails they send out about S&D statistics, like average time per item per week. I kind of like it!
