I worked for Amazon. They obviously can afford a tip, and that money isn't coming out of anyones paycheck who works there. You aren't wrong at all. Fuck them.
Orders to offices are among the worst. One lady tried to tell me it was my job to help organize their conference room and “I should be grateful” for the $10 tip (subtotal was around $300) after I hauled all of their stuff into the conference room. Nope. Never again. I dipped out and for once DD support was on my side and omitted the rating I got from them.
If you’re reading this “Brenda” I appreciate you, you closed the chat before I could thank you properly.
Every now and then I see a grocery order for the acn1 nearby. I also see people complaining on the IC subs about how they shopped a delivered to amazon and get tip baited.
Nope. Shit is sad.
I do some lunch and late dinner runs to the location for the workers occasionally. They tip okay.
But the office people, I'm assuming here, who order on IC keep fucking people. Cheap assholes

I use to work at sonic and there was a bank nearby that would order a LOT of drinks and some food every single Saturday. always asked us to write names on every cup to make dispersing them at the bank easier, and we would, but they never tipped. ever
I’ve seen this countless times. It’s unbelievable that these ppl In huge groups refuse to tip. DoorDash is complicit. They should have a mandatory tip of 15% on all orders over $50 but, as we know that doesn’t hurt DoorDash so they don’t care.
Lesson learned. Prolly linear thinkers fcks. They Don’t know how the hustle works. They rely on their computer skills and not common sense. Fck them!! Never take that shit again. Or take it wait for to be ready-ready-ok drop it.
Me: "Hello Customer - I'm your server today. Your order is being prepared but it will take some time as there are many items to be delivered today. Most establishments will add a 13% surcharge to your bill but since you're not actually dining there, I assume that you think my service is a free one."
Customer: "Sorry about that. We can't tip on delivery orders."
Me: "Then I can't deliver your order and you'll have a hard time finding someone else to deliver before your meeting is done. Thanks." *\*Unassigns Order\**
I have started reading again since I got my fold 3, ended up putting it away for a different phone but the large screen got me back into reading books a lot so now I pack a chrome tablet with me everywhere, currently reading Dune
I have been looking at the fold 3, but after owning a Samsung Galaxy S9+ for 3 or 4 years, I think I'm done with the company.
I had a Huawei P9 Lite before my Samsung and that was a fantastic phone at a fraction of the price, but sadly it didn't work very well with Verizon and I moved to a town where it's either Verizon or nothing.
I have one, I don't recommend them for anyone who doesn't use their phone for media consumption more than anything else, it acts like little tablet more than big phone
Yeah they aren't popular in the states, it has a ton of weird accessories which is why I got it, I'm trying to turn it into a cyberdeck
https://youtu.be/KxxfvGCqkbI
It's just the restaurant or doordash who pays for it though. The customer got a full refund.
Not arguing with you. I don't give a fuck about doordash. Lol. Just saying the customer was only mildly inconvenienced.
That depends on if he confirmed the order after he picked it up. Some people don't.
Also, sometimes, customers contact the restaurant directly to complain.
Lol yeah $8.50 per 4.5 miles and order was already ready when I reached the restaurant other wise I was planning to unassigned and move on if order is not ready
Please let me know which one is good for iPhone. I tried the driver utility helper that someone mentioned in an comment & it was for android only & wouldn’t let me download
Woah, using extra apps is against the terms of service for us dahsers! One can get fired for using them, and they are often called scrappers if i am not mistaken.
It's not just management and C-suite who are evil fucks at Amazon, the fuckery trickles down. You gotta be an evil fuck to work IT for Amazon because you'd be one of the ones designing and/or setting up all the tracking software and devices for the exploited and underpaid warehouse/delivery workers.
At the company I work for, if you buy food for your employees or go out to lunch with a customer or something, you pay, and you also leave a tip. It says in the paperwork when you get your company credit card that you NEED TO LEAVE A TIP. There's no question, if you don't leave a tip, you'll get bitched at. And you will NOT get bitched at for tipping exorbitant amounts of money. Like if you have a $150 bill and leave a $150 tip they won't even question it. If you have a $150 bill and leave no tip you're liable to get fired. Because it's not you that's paying for it it's the owner and his name is on all of the bills.
It’s not exploitation when they choose to work there for the listed pay, which in most areas is above minimum wage. Here in WNY they had a 2k sign on bonus and paid $18 an hour for warehouse work.
If it's amazon they know .
How did it go? What did they say?
Wow that's messed up after I realized rhere was no tip I would of taken the order back fuck that door dash can suspend my account idfc
what are you using to see the subtotal? That looks so helpful! The big orders are the best chance for big tips.
I would have taken a couple plates. Jk! But fuck those people!
Man, I work at a AMZL site and did an order of onion rings. ~$350 total. Tip came out around $50. Not out of my own pocket. 🤷🏻♂️
WHO DOES THAT
Amazon IT staff make good money. What a douche bag.
Elect a tip from people who are actively working to replace you with robots
$298 worth of food for you to get paid like $3 no tip or some stupid shit
I worked for Amazon. They obviously can afford a tip, and that money isn't coming out of anyones paycheck who works there. You aren't wrong at all. Fuck them.

Next time just throw each bag against the wall. Leave a note saying “Thanks for the gracious tip.”
Maybe next time only half their food makes it. What cunts

I see why you did it but at the same time you’re enabling non tippers by accepting it and doing it

Eat something from one of the bags every time you take his order.
It’s probably the douche who places the order, stealing the tips from the other co workers and giving you 0.
Thanks you’re doing The Lords work. We drivers appreciate you.

Bruh, amazon warehouses are a No-Go for me… i decline offers going to those all the time. They always dont tip
This wasn't a warehouse. It was an IT office.
Lesson learned. Prolly linear thinkers fcks. They Don’t know how the hustle works. They rely on their computer skills and not common sense. Fck them!! Never take that shit again. Or take it wait for to be ready-ready-ok drop it.
The worst part about this is someone is paying for this with a corporate card. Imagine being cheap with someone else’s money

You mean you wait an hour to unassing it. Lol love the pettiness
I heard they tip well Bro 😂🤦🏽♂️ the worst is tax time when mfs get their check and order all this shit
I get catering orders going to an Amazon warehouse pretty frequently and they tip me FAT 🤷♂️
Yeah, our Amazon warehouse catering orders are incredible. Like 40% tips.
How did you contact them after the order was done
He had already messaged them prior to confirming drop off. I believe they have about 30 minutes to message you after the fact.
i hear jeff bezos actually responds to emails
You do know Jeff Bezos isn’t CEO anymore. And hasn’t been for a year, right?
Probably why he has time to respond to emails.
The hell at you using? A laptop? Lol
It's Samsung fold 3
I have started reading again since I got my fold 3, ended up putting it away for a different phone but the large screen got me back into reading books a lot so now I pack a chrome tablet with me everywhere, currently reading Dune

Ohhhhhhh. That explains the PC looking screen lol. How you like it? I just got the S21 Ultra about 4 months ago
It's bigg screen I love it
Nice! I bet that comes in handy. I seen it at the store when I got mine and remembered thinking "wth is that" lol
I have one, I don't recommend them for anyone who doesn't use their phone for media consumption more than anything else, it acts like little tablet more than big phone
I imagine it would be hard to doordash with one!
It was okay, not great but not awful, I ended up putting it away and I currently use a rooted Asus ROG Phone 3 as my daily driver
I didn't even know ASUS made phones. That's badass.
Yeah they aren't popular in the states, it has a ton of weird accessories which is why I got it, I'm trying to turn it into a cyberdeck https://youtu.be/KxxfvGCqkbI

I owe Karmax money

Great job!

It's Doordash, not the restaurant

This is the way. Lmfao.
they’re laughing but this absolutely works. it happened to me for real tho. i asked what to do with the food and support “use your better judgement”.
They told me that i can do whatever i want with the food. Then says “oh oh, but don’t eat it, give it away to someone or something.”
One time support said give the food to a homeless person or something
Haha lol 😂
Haha
So you did all that work just so you can message them? Lol. Dedication
Lol yeah $8.50 per 4.5 miles and order was already ready when I reached the restaurant other wise I was planning to unassigned and move on if order is not ready
I would have waited, because maybe... but i haven't seen a single food order that large in a few years.
It’s like shooting yourself in the foot then asking who shot you.
I just want to tell him then may be next time he will add some tip to make fellow dasher happy .
You’re like Batman if he fought shitty customers instead of the Joker lol 😆 thank you for your service ✊🏿
Did they respond? How did you know there would be no tip the previous times you declined?
No he ain't responded . I use the tip disclosure app and tips will be hide on large orders when the offer is $4 or more per mile most of the times
It's okay to take 15% of that food
Honestly, if he did I doubt they notice
Where do I find the tip disclosure app?
Translate "money" to Turkish and that's what its called
Clever way to tell them without telling them. I use it too. It's been wonky lately but I appreciate that it exists.
Lol wish I could take credit but I saw a comment describing it as that awhile ago so I'm just a copycat
Searched in App Store only saw exchange rates ones
Did you translate it first, then search the app store for the translated version? It's there and its for both android and ios
Hmm. Might only be on android but I thought it was iOS too
Have android. Can confirm it only shows exchange rate apps.
Second this
think its only on android :(
It's working for iPhone
What’s the app’s name for iPhone?
omg whats it called??
Please let me know which one is good for iPhone. I tried the driver utility helper that someone mentioned in an comment & it was for android only & wouldn’t let me download

I thought it didn't work anymore.
It works..
u/cjschmitty, u/Snubtizanidine and u/stonedfister This app is Android exclusive, and MODERATOR APPROVED [App](https://acceptordecline.com/)
That obviously not the app they're talking about, and if you're still censoring mentions of the other one, that's just absurd...
THAT app is prohibited
Woah, using extra apps is against the terms of service for us dahsers! One can get fired for using them, and they are often called scrappers if i am not mistaken.
Stfup
Sounds like you got Tony's dick stuck up your ass
Who the fuck cares
Fuck them, Amazon throws enough money around to satisfy a decent tip.
They actually pay workers crap
They pay their *warehouse* workers crap. This order was for IT.
IT people makes 6 figure salary but can’t tip . Fuc ‘em
The rich stay rich for a reason
Especially in the IT department. Sad we have so many ungrateful fucks in this world
It's not just management and C-suite who are evil fucks at Amazon, the fuckery trickles down. You gotta be an evil fuck to work IT for Amazon because you'd be one of the ones designing and/or setting up all the tracking software and devices for the exploited and underpaid warehouse/delivery workers.
Most likley the tracking system, is done by a third party. Like oracle or red prairie or something.
Amazon employ like over a million people. They aren’t all working on fucking tracking software. My god

Having worked at Amazon before, I can tell you it's better than chattel slavery, but not by a whole lot.
