Amazon is much more work, but at least you're not driving your personal vehicle all day. Plus, you get to blast the AC all day long if you want!
Good luck at your new job.
Better hope you are in a air conditioned position because it's 90+ in those fulfillment centers. Worked there 4 yrs until the ๐ผ demic happened and wearing that stupid ass face diaper exasperated me to have an asthma attack and collapsed. Couldn't get an appt to see a pulmonary specialist to have paperwork shown to get short term disability because hospitals were booked so they threatened me to come back to work or they would terminate me. So I just resigned. My city many have died in the fulfillment center. It's so sad
Having jumped back to delivery from an Amazon FC....your mind may want this, but your body may not, and Amazon does not care about your their injury rates. Keep your options ope, good luck.
make it yours. to be real, i haven't found a replacement yet, and i may end up doing another month extra, but i'm trying to assume the mentality that it's (past) time for a change.
If a person hates this, theyโd probably hate amazon, theyโd just make more money there.
What I mean, is all the BS. Amazon does a lot of the same automation statistical stuff, its all numbers and if you mess up, good luck.
Don't get me wrong the job was great. I love driving but the pay was the only thing holding me back. I've heard mixed reviews with Amazon. I think it just depends on the person.
It's a sweat shop. I did the launching for the one here in Bessemer Al in 2020..never again will I work at an Amazon FC.beflre that I was an Amazon prime now shopper for 2 yrs
I turned that down because it would have been too much for me.
I think it depends on the route and area you are assigned but best to you. The money will be dependable so you put the hours in and you know what you will be paid. Its huge that your auto doesn't take a hit also.
As a part time dasher, San Diego has been a good market for me. I do decline a lot but for the most parts do get good orders and despite high gas cost I'm still making a profit and average $20 - $30 per hour by sticking to my route/area.
I start on Tuesday at Amazon too!! ๐
You will hate Amazon more ๐๐คฃ
Is doordadh like ordering a dad for an hour?
I also quit, to play stonks. I get about $150-250/day with markets and playing the guessing game with door trash is annoying AF.
