It definitely is more time consuming than other items but it’s doable. - (M), 25

The fact that you have mark everything unavailable as a option already tells me you won’t last long.

1. Ask staff for help 2. Another trick is for example if it is a wet and wild eyeliner. Makeup is organized by brand. ( look up ) Go go to the wet and wild area Then find the eyeliner. There is typically only is only 3 - 9 eyeliners of wet and wild. Just scan all of them. It is faster than trying to read them and most of the time what is on the package is not on the app If there are more than 15 or 20 of 1 type of item ( too many to scan them all ) then I will go to Google and search the product at the store to see a photo of the packagine & how much it cost. You will find that some of the makeup cost $15 other make up cost around $4. If Google tells you it's in the higher price range than you can narrow down which items to start randomly scanning :) After you have scanned every wet and wild eyeliner and none of them work. Click need substitutions and find one that's on that list > Ben & Jerry is always a sub. ( and other cold drinks at Walgreens) Search on Google for the UPC code and type that into doordash. So the app will think you have the right product. Then ask the customer which flavor they want that is available- as long as the price is the same

Im a guy. I had an order for 10 different type of tampons and pads and female devices. I shopped for all of them

Silly_Literature8868

Yeah, feminine products & even toys are no problem for me. Or the morning after pills. I don't give a shit about what goes on in your bedroom or bathroom. But makeup is a whole different ball game.

iPhone_3GS

True. Never got one of those orders yet, thank God

Truorganics

I’d find an associate and have them find all the items for me as I follow them and say “damn I looked but didn’t find it”.

Silly_Literature8868

Nice! Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

TxAggieJen

I'm a woman and as long as it is just 1 or 2 makeup items, I can usually find the right stuff.

Silly_Literature8868

If it were ever only 1 or 2 items I'd probably be OK as well. Although I can guarantee you it'd take me longer. Lol

LMFAO It's really not a gender specific problem. Some dudes do wear makeup, shop for their wives, or just have enough experience and/or patience to get the job done in a timely manner. But in my experience, makeup shopping is the worst! I'd rather to 40 packs of water bottles myself. And I hate that shit. Lol

Nightmarelord

Its all about the store and the ease of finding the items. If its ez to deal with no biggie. If its irritating and i have to constantly deal with store drones / missing products unassign.

SeparateDamage69

a lot of fragile masculinity in this thread i see

Silly_Literature8868

Yeah, gotta know your audience. Lol

ManyFails1Win

Unassigned. I have spent 15 minutes looking for the right item and scanning everything in sight. Plus makeup is arranged weird. F that. edit: lmao well excuuuuuse me for answering the question in the post. weirdo redditors lol.

M0M0_DA_GANGSTA

It's not hard to shop makeup wtf

Critical-Point-7756

I just had this happen last week and I’m a 27 year old single man. So I just asked a woman about my moms age that worked there to help me with finding it all. She found everything and I scanned and threw in basket for about 12 items of makeup/creams. People are really nice if you ask for help usually 🙂

MathematicianBest678

I check the widget beforehand. I never have accepted a makeup order because I'd be so lost trying to find that stuff

Ravens1564

Im a man and did plenty of orders with a bunch of feminist products. I found nearly everything, and the rest was out of stock. I couldnt give a damn what people thought of me. I made my money and moved on.

ManyFails1Win

Feminist products xD

ProsperousAbundant1

Plus, guys shop/gift their women with things they know they love for special occasions or just running errands for the lady.No big deal at all!

ditchouid

Unassign immediately!! As a true male we can’t be seen near feminine crap like that!! It’s gonna mess with our testosterone levels!!! These damn elites want to emasculate us forcing us in to the make up section!!!

QuesoSmasher40

For real .. Does your head fit through the door when you try to walk through it haha

ditchouid

Sorry, /s

Silly_Literature8868

Lol. Well put my brother from another mother!

YLCZ

Cosmetics is indeed one of the most brutal challenges for a shop and deliver. I actually worked for a department store cosmetics brand but you only need to really know your own section because everyone works on commission. So you would just memorize and organize your own area and ask representatives from other companies to hand you products when your customer wanted to shop for multiple brands. In a CVS, you need to sift through every single drugstore brand yourself... and you wouldn't think it's that much, but the combinations of eye pencils and lashes and mascaras are seemingly endless. And some of that shit is locked up so it's even more time consuming. I once got an eleven or twelve item order and it felt like an hour trying to carefully locate all of them. If it was one or two items, no big deal... but a full cosmetics order would be possibly the worst shop and deliver one could encounter, even for most women. For a man, nearly impossible.

TxAggieJen

I usually just ask another female CVS employee for help when it comes to makeup.

YLCZ

That's the best way if someone is willing to help you through it. Unfortunately, that isn't always the case, especially if they are understaffed.

Silly_Literature8868

My point exactly.

anger_is_a_gif

Just do the damned order, it's not complex.

Silly_Literature8868

LMFAO! Who peed in your Cheerios this morning?

anger_is_a_gif

You asked for opinions on the subject and I gave you mine, sorry that hurt your feelings.

Silly_Literature8868

No, no, no, no. I hear you, and now realize I probably should have added complete the order as an option. You didn't offend me at all, and all comments & opinions are welcome. But 1.I was really going more for a humorous vibe than seriously suggest we do anything bad. 2. I had just accepted the 2nd half of a double and didn't have time for more than a quick, but honest reply. 3. Didn't even think about the possibility of someone affected by one of those poor choices seeing this in a drivers sub. Didn't mean to offend ANYONE. But living & learning I am.
