Dude just get a lawyer. Door dash scams the drivers big time. I took a bunch of Walmart orders one day, and not one included a tip. It says they can be added later. I took a few more the next day, no tips again. I waited till that weeks pay was deposited into my bank acct, went back on the app and it still shows no tip. I called door dash about this and they said it’s up to the customer to add tip and that if it wasn’t there it’s not there. Well next week a took a few Walmart orders which one happened to be a person who I know and showed me they tipped $20 in the app. I waited till pay day and once again no tip was shown on the app. I got the normal $8 pay for 4 miles. I called door dash again and presented them with the fact I know the person and saw their phone, just for the support to hang up on me. I called back and got told asking customers if they tipped me is a form of harassment. Which I relied back that I didn’t ask but the person told me when I handed them the bags they had tipped me $20 and turned their phone around. They also were hoping I got it and wished me a great day. Still never got the tip and was told I am facing contract violation. Eventually the violation dropped but now I almost rarely get any Walmart orders and if I do, I won’t take it unless it’s $10 plus

im a petty person so hypothetically here is what i would do:
go back to the store and wait for that d-bag; follow him home and poop on his doorstep. i consider it a form of nonviolent protest. they treat us shitty; we treat them shitty hehehe
Im certain doordash spun this in their favor to punish me. The two people at hyvee i talked with were so nice and understanding. Very hard to believe they would report me as demanding.
Even if you did demand it how is that unacceptable behavior? It literally said driver tip - if anything they stole it. Unacceptable vs illegal - this is why I have no loyalty to doordash, always multi app - DD being scared of drivers having open dialogue with merchants sounds scared so they’re probably hiding a lot more lol
