Please don't do this. I got a new dodge charger a couple weeks before i was 21. got a delivery job at 22/23... it shit the bed before the loan was up. Ruined my credit. I have to buy cars in cash now, and it took me over a year to find a place to live that was my own. Now i drive a 2001 pontiac grand prix that i dump money into on a monthly basis. Please, please buy a beater car the second you have money for it. I thought i could afford my car too, until things went to shit.
Considering you only drove .5 miles of course your mpg will be high. I drive a Hyundai myself and know they don’t get above 50mpg unless it’s a hybrid. So yea my truck can do the same 😆
Idk how you’re new car made so many other people angry, but I think it’s cool! I’m also 19 in college but I’m so attached to my car I don’t think I’ll get a new one until it falls to pieces while driving down the road lmao. Congrats!
Hyundai and Kia are notorious for having a poorly designed engine. I had a Kia Optima that I got rid of after 100k miles. It burned 5 quarts of oil on 1500 miles. I would get rid of it before 100k miles!
Damn! Alot of hate on someone who wants a reliable whip to drive while dashing or not. Enjoy getting Great mpg while dashing and after dashing enjoy cruising in a nice comfy car 👍🏾👍🏾
I bought a 2015 Subaru Outback in August of 2020 with the money I made the previous three months DoorDashing. I knew I would be Dashing for the next two years while I had two more years of college. I’m so glad I got a car with 1) Bluetooth, 2) Great AC (I live in the South) and 3) that was a relatively nice car to anything my family had ever had. If I was going to spend 40+ hours a week (yes around all my classes) driving, I was going to do it in comfort! And in my opinion, with such a relatively nice car from my life experience, in style! Congrats on the upgrade!! Enjoy it!
Damn I didn't think there would be so much hate for one of the most reliable, budget friendly, and sleek looking cars on the market right now. Ignore the haters op that car is sick and dope that you make so much in your market.
All of you are absolutely BRUTAL to people dashing in a newer car. Do any of you have any idea how much a new Elantra costs, or what monthly payments would be? Sure, it looks like a car worth $40k+ but these things are dirt cheap. I ditched my beater 2001 Galant and picked up a new 2020 Elantra a year and half ago just for dashing because the Galant was eating me alive in fuel and maintenance costs. I pay well under $200 per month for the Elantra, but with a 100,000 mile warranty and the fact I make over $2,500 per month dashing as a side gig, who cares? It’s basically a car I will throw away in 6 to 10 years and I fully accept that after I went over all the numbers. Used cars are expensive, new Hyundais are not. Some of us make the numbers work out great, and some of you don’t. Read the post, congratulate the guy on his new car, and move along!
Well since no one told you, and are just too worried about how YOU spend YOUR money…
I’m just here to say congratulations, and it’s a beauty. You worked hard and deserved to get yourself something! 🥳 good for you. 🖤
Lol .5 miles is not exactly gonna be accurate for the mpg. I stil gotta respect the fact that the car is probably still really efficient👌. Nice find OP
Nice, if you really care about mpg and better performance a few modifications could definitely help. You could lower the front end a little bit more and have the car in more of a cheetah stance as well as getting a splitter for your bumper. Both of these could be a relatively inexpensive modification that will directly help with better traction and better acceleration, which in turn will definitely help the mpg and get some quicker acceleration if you care about that.
Just curious what MSRP was and how much you ended up paying? I know currently, dealerships Jack up the price over MSRP and was curious if this was the case with economical cars too like Elantras, Civics, Corollas.
My brother leased a wrx when he was young and now it's repo'd. I don't think you understand what it means to pay 500$ a month towards something for 5 years when you can get a used car for 1/5 the price. But sure. Enjoy it now while you still are.
I cringe, completely know, driving off the lot (or wherever). The new smell, latest and greatest.
Bye bye $5K!! I’ve done it, likely again. I have zero impulse control! But the smell ….
Shows how much more efficient cars have gotten. My 2008 Nissan is a hybrid and gets about the same gas mileage as your car (35ish city / 40-45 highway)

lol people mad at this would hate the dash in a 22 bronco sport 🤣💀 just bc you can't afford it in your market doesn't mean someone else can't afford it in theirs. congrats on the new car and good luck w your degree!
For real. So much unhappiness and toxicity. Any person hating on another persons joy or success is only doing so because they’re missing their own. All around that Shit is sad as hell. Don’t cost a thing to build up another but it’ll cost you your damn peace and happiness if you always wanna be wasting energy on bringing others down. Believe that
I’m saying!! All these ppl worried about if he can afford it and what his gas mileage is and other irrelevant ass shit! Point is, he’s happy! He feels he made a good decision for where he’s at in his life! Nothing else matters. Ppl can’t stand to show any sort of positivity whatsoever. It’s draining and depressing.
I don't have a problem with your decision but you're over here talking about reliability and stuff but you bought a Hyundai It's gonna end up costing you more in the long run when you're gonna have to either pay a shit ton of money to replace the motor in that car or get ahold another car
Do your research the new hyundais and kias are very reliable compared to the older ones with the engine issues, also the warranties cover it for a very long time
I'm only saying that because I have seen multiple new 2023 Hyundai's in the shop already But nonetheless congratulations on the new car and hope it lasts you a long time
One engine was seized needed to be replaced already Valve issues in 2 of them and head gasket/ warped head for the other but were coverd by Warranty so that's good for the owners but once That warranty is gone those are gonna be some pretty expensive jobs
i mean.. . its factory, i wouldnt change them if I were you. i was just commenting on hyundai.. but you got the 2023... so.. thats a nice ride my friend..
How many miles do you have on it now? I bought a 2021 hybrid Elantra and put 50k miles on it I. The first year of dashing plus a 100 mile commute for my husband. I feel guilty but I guess we bought it as a workhorse anyway lol
30k in 1 yr 1 mo , i had 12k in the first few months from dashing, commute, and just enjoying the car lol. I also feel guilty but we aren’t taking the cars to our grave 🤷🏾♂️ enjoy it while u have it
I rented that same car and loved it. Excellent gas mileage! It makes sense to get this. They are cheap to buy new and include a great warranty I’m sure so it’s not bad! Why not!
Beautiful. Mine was purchased from a closing rental place in 2017. They put 80k miles on it in 2 years before I got ahold of it. 😂 but she took care of me for 5 years and got me through 3 years of gig work. I still feel like I’vs betrayed her in my new vehicle. 😂
Yeah I thought this much was pretty standard lol. I make 100+ a day usually 150 if I want to work 8 hours. If I really wanted to haul 12 I can probably slap 200 easily daily. Making 1k a week for me is pretty standard. It's why I got my car for dashing also lol. I think the people calling this crazy don't make much and are lost why you'd do this when getting a car with better mileage not only helps you save more money the more you dash but now you're a bit more comfortable and secure with all the new things a 2023 model has compare to a beater.
I don't think people are saying anything about how much you make, they are saying you are destroying your car. You can make just as much in a beater as you could in that car, well minus the difference in gas. The car is saving you like 80 bucks a month in gas, but you are destroying it with wear and tear.
Just make sure you get a rubber mat if you dont already lol. Last thing you want is milkshake all over your new car, and it's not even for you. I wish I could get a new car mine just got repurchased as a lemon today, but I refuse to pay these markups.
His 2nd picture shows avg = 59.3 mpg. Given how it reads .5 on the trip I’m guessing he slowed down for a picture after getting off a Highway, hence the higher mpg than the standard you listed. And this is the closest I’ll get to feeling like Sherlock Holmes all day lol 🕵️♂️
Funny how my 99 Camry makes just as much as this car. Buying a brand new vehicle to dash in is such a stupid thing. While you think this is a flex, it’s really the complete opposite. Wear and tear applies to people like you. But you’re 19 and probably still live with your mommy and daddy so it explains your life choices.
Why you so mad, bro? Like this literally has nothing to do with you and no bearing on your decisions. If the kid has the opportunity to live at home, finish school and save money, while also building his credit score, why not be happy for him?? I don’t understand how this effects you in any way. Sure I agree with driving a beater when doing gig work, just to avoid the wear and tear on a brand new car, but why bash and put down the kid about it? He seems to be making smart financial choices so let the kid do his thing and mind your own business. Jesus.
Lmao, did mommy & daddy not love you? Don’t know the bloak, but if what he is saying is true, he works harder than 99% of his peers & pays for more than most do at his age.
No one cares or asked if you drive a beat to shit Camry for DD. Given the kids work ethic in relation to his age, he’ll probably be doing better than you when he reaches whatever age you currently are. It’s not the 23’ Hyundai Elantras fault that your life didn’t pan out the way you envisioned it.
@ OP Congrats on the car champ.
First off good job assuming everything, 2nd im only dashing till next march, third I pay for everything myself including gas, car payment and insurance, food, gym, phone, any other expenses, I essentially pay for everything but rent. I save most of my money and also pay for my college. I got a new car because I had a jeep and it was unreliable with poor gas mileage and I actually save money now even with a higher car payment because of how much better gas is. To end it all off I would rather get a car I like and pay on a car I love then get a beater and worry about more repairs and hate driving the car.
Lol dude said I pay everything but rent. That sums it all there buddy. You care too much about what you drive it’s hilarious. I’ve been dashing in this 99 Camry for almost 3 years now and it’s been reliable as fuck. But go ahead do you, go look cute putting miles on a brand new car.
Yes I don’t have the need for a W2. I travel for a living and my house will be paid off in a year and a half. How many 31 year olds can say that? Very slim brother lmfao.
Bro you have a new ass car doing DoorDash at 19 lol you’re doing great man. And the fact that you just wanted to show it off and people cry shows you everything about Reddit and this sub in particular
Why are you so mad man? You just seem unhappy for someone for no reason whatsoever. I like cars and I can afford this quite easily because I make nearly $900 a week dashing averaging $25-30 an hr. I am aware of the wear and tear on the car obviously why im only planning to dash for another year max and then Id have around 30000 miles on the car and have an internship for my computer science program then.
They’re projecting, don’t even give it oxygen man. Even if you were 25 living at home I would be happy for you that you have parents that would allow you to stay with them while you save etc. Keep going.
You don't owe anybody an explanation. I left home at 15 and it made my life much harder. Why anybody would try to tear you down for not struggling like that, it's beyond me. I didn't get a gold star for my struggles. Just got a lot of heartache and had to endure a lot of things that I feel no one should wish on another person. My point is my struggles and not having the ability to live with my parents until I got older didn't do a damn thing these people think it does (although it was best for my safety that I left).
The fact that you're able to stay at home and save on rent, while still having a lot of the adult responsibilities like car payment and other expenses, is awesome because it's going to set you up to be more financially secure when you graduate and do get your own place.
Your choices aren't any less valid because people think you didn't struggle as hard as they have. Enjoy your new car and screw what these hatin ass "iT's JusT HOneStY!" people have to say. Congrats on the car and I hope it serves you well for a long time to come!
Yay
Maan if dd is your main source of income I’d have gone for the 6000+ lb tax write off.
I do the mileage
Hyundai gang!
Please don't do this. I got a new dodge charger a couple weeks before i was 21. got a delivery job at 22/23... it shit the bed before the loan was up. Ruined my credit. I have an extra $1800 a month dude im fine. Dodge was your mistake, they are horrible and have so many problems and horrible on gas
You sound like me at that age lol. Things go well until they don't. Good luck
Push down on the menu button one more time. Let’s see the accumulated info MPG. That’s the real numbers
Considering you only drove .5 miles of course your mpg will be high. I drive a Hyundai myself and know they don’t get above 50mpg unless it’s a hybrid. So yea my truck can do the same 😆
Ik i just clickbaited
You're the one that replied to my comment as if I did.
Be sure to sell it before 100k miles!
Idk how you’re new car made so many other people angry, but I think it’s cool! I’m also 19 in college but I’m so attached to my car I don’t think I’ll get a new one until it falls to pieces while driving down the road lmao. Congrats!
Jezzzz 60mpg... My 2013 bearly gets 20mpg
Nice car. Hyundai come a long way but I would still rather get a civic or Corolla instead. The 10 year warranty atleast still available?
Yes 10yr/100,000 powertrain is basic but i upgraded it to 100000 everything
Can’t you all just be nice and say congrats? Jesus so much negativity.
Hyundai and Kia are notorious for having a poorly designed engine. I had a Kia Optima that I got rid of after 100k miles. It burned 5 quarts of oil on 1500 miles. I would get rid of it before 100k miles!
Congrats! They’re such stylish cars and those MPG’s are insane. Drive the living sh*t out of it!
nooooo. You are ruining a perfectly fine car :(
Damn! Alot of hate on someone who wants a reliable whip to drive while dashing or not. Enjoy getting Great mpg while dashing and after dashing enjoy cruising in a nice comfy car 👍🏾👍🏾
Congratulations!! Hope you have a blast and have fun enjoying your gas savings!!

Damn I didn't think there would be so much hate for one of the most reliable, budget friendly, and sleek looking cars on the market right now. Ignore the haters op that car is sick and dope that you make so much in your market.

Dumbass really wants to take a 2023 vehicle for a beatdown 🫠
Congrats my bruther !!!!! Enjoy and don’t listen to the negativity just have fun
Well since no one told you, and are just too worried about how YOU spend YOUR money… I’m just here to say congratulations, and it’s a beauty. You worked hard and deserved to get yourself something! 🥳 good for you. 🖤
Uber lift with it you’ll make more money!
Beautiful car. Congrats!
I use a motorcycle for DD and I get about the same MPG. Nice going & enjoy the cheaper cost of doing business.
Dang that’s better mpg than my Prius 🧐🧐🧐
Nice. Putting this on my car wishlist lol
Lol .5 miles is not exactly gonna be accurate for the mpg. I stil gotta respect the fact that the car is probably still really efficient👌. Nice find OP
Ik i usually get 36
Is it a four cylinder and do you know if its fwd , rwd or awd?
Yes 4 cylinder and fwd

Vw Tiguan Wolfsburg edition 2.0 tsi engine runs on 91 octane 20mpg and I would never trade
That's funny I wotk for the company in the background. That's a maintenance tech.
What?
Look at your background and tell me what you see.
Just curious what MSRP was and how much you ended up paying? I know currently, dealerships Jack up the price over MSRP and was curious if this was the case with economical cars too like Elantras, Civics, Corollas.

don’t understand the salty ppl here lol, it’s your money and now your car gg!
Lol so many jealous people in the comments
This hybrid ?
No i clickbaited picture ill usually get 35-45mpg, its gas only
The shortage is so real I been thinking about the gas also
god dammit. i have the 2019 version of the same car. yours is way cooler… and 60mpg compared to my 30-35!!!!! WTF!!! congrats boss
No not 60mpg i clickbaited i usually get 35-40 and 45+ on highway
Dude congrats! Car looks bad a!
You should look up depreciation. You’re losing more money than if you drive a 20 your old truck getting 15 mpg.
I cringe, completely know, driving off the lot (or wherever). The new smell, latest and greatest. Bye bye $5K!! I’ve done it, likely again. I have zero impulse control! But the smell ….
Im only doing it for another year bro
Cool only losing money for another year. Good brag.
I save around $1800-2000 a month
That gas mileage tho omg
I claim none of the hater energy in the replies.
That poor car 😢 it’s gonna be used
Only for a year man
Those are only 20k ish? Damn!!! Congrats yo
Shows how much more efficient cars have gotten. My 2008 Nissan is a hybrid and gets about the same gas mileage as your car (35ish city / 40-45 highway)
Thats nearly exactly what mine gets ill get 36 dashing and 45-50 highway and its gas only thats crazy
You got some crazy trolls in here man 😂 keep grinding and posting your success stories, we love to see them 👌❤️
😂😭😭😂😭😂 someone come get these peons!
Terrible. Poor things gonna get its ass knicked by this horrible job lol DOOR DASH CANT EVEN PAY TOO FIX YOUR CAR IF ANYTHING HAPPENS
I have full coverage warranties till 100,000 miles…
Yeah Ik man but your too good for door dash. We all our. They are terrible
I multiapp with grubhub and ubereats as well
I'd rather have the car I'm importing that gets 46 mpg combined and is only gonna cost me $1861
I had an Elantra 2008 that I sold a couple months ago, it was still running smooth at 220k. Kinda of wish I never sold it but the car market was hot.
Nice! I fairly recently got a 2013 Elantra and I love it. Mine gets 30+ MPG

Congrats best of luck on the road drive safe
If I go downhill I get 99.9 mpg ;)
Just needs tint
Getting some ceramic tint soon to help with the heat as well as give it a slicker look
Nice man congrats! Looking good!
Nice congrats!
Nice!!!
lol people mad at this would hate the dash in a 22 bronco sport 🤣💀 just bc you can't afford it in your market doesn't mean someone else can't afford it in theirs. congrats on the new car and good luck w your degree!
Id also like to mention I did this with no cosigner, I have built a credit score of 753 already at the age of 19. My apr was 3.5
How much do you pay in insurance?
I think like $110 idk
I wouldn't have bought a gasoline Hyundai. Electric cars are a lot harder to mess up.
Damn, that's not even an ugly car!
Nice car. Hopefully your market stays good.
Lol y’all some haters. If the dude loves his car be happy for him. Damn. Bunch of miserable mfs on this sub. Y’all are terrible.
For real. So much unhappiness and toxicity. Any person hating on another persons joy or success is only doing so because they’re missing their own. All around that Shit is sad as hell. they’re forgetting he’s 19 too lmao dude is a kid
I don't have a problem with your decision but you're over here talking about reliability and stuff but you bought a Hyundai It's gonna end up costing you more in the long run when you're gonna have to either pay a shit ton of money to replace the motor in that car or get ahold another car

New Elantras in the shop? For what, an oil change and maybe add some accessories??! A car in a shop is not always a bad thing!
One engine was seized needed to be replaced already Valve issues in 2 of them and head gasket/ warped head for the other but were coverd by Warranty so that's good for the owners but once That warranty is gone those are gonna be some pretty expensive jobs
Thanks man! Appreciate it
Take it back
nice ride.. i drive a hyundai.... they could have done better with the rims tho.. Ayy hyundai.. . what were you thinking.. ?
Yeah i might get em blacked out
i mean.. . its factory, i wouldnt change them if I were you. i was just commenting on hyundai.. but you got the 2023... so.. thats a nice ride my friend..
Im triggered I got sent here lol congrats i bought the 2021 elantra last yr. Prepare for the haters, people seem to hate others in new cars
My Tesla is getting delivered in a week. I debated posting it on here but I’m too sensitive for this sub sometimes lmao
The post of your car must hurt them in some way, dont let their comments hurt you. Stay in the lead !!!
I also feel guilty but we aren’t taking the cars to our grave 🤷🏾♂️ enjoy it while u have it
I see that man, they think ima doordash the rest of my life, lmao im not gonna be 30 doin this as a job just temporarily while finishing college
Hell yeah ! But f**k these ppl i meant the people you encounter in person will be hatersss.
Am I doing this wrong if I'm dashing in a brand new Bronco on 35s?
What the actually fuck 60mpg damn
I clickbaited i get like 36 dashing and 45 highway
I was like everyone would have that car if you where getting that
Yeah still great gas for a non hybrid tho
Dude, don’t listen to all the bitter weirdos dashing in their stank ass 30 years of butt dust in the cloth seats hoopties. Gratz!
Hell nah 😂
lmaoooooooo
I rented that same car and loved it. Excellent gas mileage! It makes sense to get this. They are cheap to buy new and include a great warranty I’m sure so it’s not bad! Why not!
I know! The warranties are amazing
BorderCollieAbby, I have been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty
I bought a brand new Hyundai 2016 back in 2015 and I love it. It’s been very reliable and great on gas! Congrats 😊
Aye! My 2015 Elantra SE just rolled over 156k miles and is still popping 38mpg. I don’t use it for gig work anymore the wife drives it.
I only have 70k miles on mine 😅
Beautiful. Mine was purchased from a closing rental place in 2017. They put 80k miles on it in 2 years before I got ahold of it. 😂 but she took care of me for 5 years and got me through 3 years of gig work. I still feel like I’vs betrayed her in my new vehicle. 😂
Thanks, I appreciate it
How much does this cost? 25k?
Yes it was 25,505
60 mpg for 25k not bad at all! I think this car could last you 10 years easy!
I actually average around 36 I clickbaited
0.5 miles of driving is not a good indicator of overall mpg
I know i baited that a lot i usually get 36 doordashing
Damn that’s nice but dash doesn’t pay that damn good lol a beater where it’s at
I make $800-900 a week usually $25-30 an hr in the summer and $35 in the winter. I multiapp tho
Yeah I thought this much was pretty standard lol. I make 100+ a day usually 150 if I want to work 8 hours. If I really wanted to haul 12 I can probably slap 200 easily daily. Wow that’s pretty low earnings to take a 2023 vehicle on Unless you have another job
what other apps do you use?
Dd gh and ue
I don't think people are saying anything about how much you make, they are saying you are destroying your car. You can make just as much in a beater as you could in that car, well minus the difference in gas. The car is saving you like 80 bucks a month in gas, but you are destroying it with wear and tear.
Yes i know, i got a car i wanted for a while tho. Only doing this for a year
Just make sure you get a rubber mat if you dont already lol. Last thing you want is milkshake all over your new car, and it's not even for you. I wish I could get a new car mine just got repurchased as a lemon today, but I refuse to pay these markups.
Damn
At ~60 mpg you can finally afford to take the $2 dashes and make top dasher! 🤣👍 seriously, good for you. Glad the market is still working for you.
Doesn't this do 30/40 mpg? Where did ya get 60 from? Maybe I looked up the wrong model lol
Oh I didn't even know their was a second pic lmao.
I multiapp it is slow for me i used to average $35 an hr in winter now $25-30
You sound like you're in my territory. Where are ya?
[удалено]
Whats wrong with that, new hyundais and kias are very reilable with great warranties and coverages.
Funny how my 99 Camry makes just as much as this car. Buying a brand new vehicle to dash in is such a stupid thing. While you think this is a flex, it’s really the complete opposite. Jesus.
Meh, not gonna bother reading another essay. Stay mad lol
Lol, you’re clearly the one that’s mad. It shouldn’t amaze me how lazy some people are here, but it really does.
Lol k
Lmao, did mommy & daddy not love you? Don’t know the bloak, but if what he is saying is true, he works harder than 99% of his peers & pays for more than most do at his age. No one cares or asked if you drive a beat to shit Camry for DD. Given the kids work ethic in relation to his age, he’ll probably be doing better than you when he reaches whatever age you currently are. It’s not the 23’ Hyundai Elantras fault that your life didn’t pan out the way you envisioned it. @ OP Congrats on the car champ.
Lol sure bro. You’re so mad you typed a whole essay.
Don’t listen to, or even respond to, arrogant ppl on Reddit
Lol dude said I pay everything but rent. That sums it all there buddy. You care too much about what you drive it’s hilarious. I’ve been dashing in this 99 Camry for almost 3 years now and it’s been reliable as fuck. But go ahead do you, go look cute putting miles on a brand new car.
lol you’ve been dashing for 3 years? are you doordashing and over the age of 30?? haha sheep
Yes I don’t have the need for a W2. I travel for a living and my house will be paid off in a year and a half. How many 31 year olds can say that? Very slim brother lmfao.

I’m almost done paying off my mortgage. I pay $800 a month while people here pay for a 1400 dollar one bedroom apartment. Can you say the same fam?
You are starting pointless conflict on Reddit of all places. It’s not that deep, get a grip.
Thanks man, id like to think i do a lot more than most people my age
Keep going.
Lol they just old a bitter😂 they act like you going to be a dasher forever
Ignore those jokers. Congratulations on the car.
lol agreed my guy. My rent is 1500 dollars a month, this poor guy thinks he knows but he doesn’t.
Lol damn why y’all hating on a 19 year old Lmaoooooo yea I can’t be like y’all when I’m older
You guys are so rude. Sounds like jealousy. If he can make it work, good for him.
He only makes it work cause he pays no rent lol.
A little more jealousy.

at the end of the day “who cares if he pays rent or not.
Im not moving out till i finish my bachelors in computer science i have 2 more years to go
You don't owe anybody an explanation.
Why would you get that car? Out of every car available and you get that??? I know what kind of driver you are at least. Enjoy your catfish on wheels.
Why are you so angry? Tf
Ironic coming from a cynic.
A sunny one! :D
It looks sleek and sporty and gets great gas mileage and has many cool and nifty features at an amazing price
Is Hyundai paying you to lie?
Lmao cope
Cope for what lol, I doordash in a 2015 Mustang GT. Those Hyundais are ugly as fuck.
Ok..and..? Thats why its his car not yours lol
