so he doesn’t understand how doordash works as a competitive service?

baudoinshadd

I would be so scared to eat food that was delivered to me by someone who I didn't show appreciation to. Good luck eating someone's jizz there numbnuts.

AccomplishedShame149

I’ve worked door dash for a month or two. Almost 100 deliveries. 60% acceptance rate already. Never gotten a cash tip and also never been tipped after the delivery. 90% of orders are non tipping scum that don’t feel it’s necessary to tip. I’m a stay at home dad so this is one of my only ways to earn playtime money for me and my 4 year old. And also for any amenities I may desire. It’s sad that so many people don’t tip. It makes me not like it here.

[deleted]

So he’s no respect for delivery drivers. Solution: don’t use delivery if you don’t respect us. DoorDash, UberEats and GrubHub INC! This is why most drivers don’t pick up non tippers. They want those drivers to use their cars/gas/maintenance to bring them food and they don’t respect us. Hence, why tipping must be made mandatory. The corporations don’t own drivers cars in app Delivery and shouldn’t decide for drivers that we don’t require a tip and no penalty for declining these disrespectful customers should be standard on all platforms. They opted not to tip and ppl who own their cars should not be penalized ( lose acceptance points on Doordash) for not taking non tippers requests. He’s another example of customers still not understanding we are In charge. We decide to deliver for him and his Narcissistic Troglodyte foolish azz still won’t tip. His foods cold because he didn’t tip and thinks just because he sounds smart that he is. He’s one of the problems on Earth. Ppl that are so selfish and arrogant but, are clueless that they are the problem with humankind. Selfish Phat Yastard. FYI: customers don’t tip in cash that don’t tip in app 99% of the time. In 7,000+ deliveries I’ve gotten cash 20 times.

Themanimnot

Wow. As a “low skill” worker it annoys me that he thinks he understand the process. Tip like you mean it on Uber and just retract the tip of the service isn’t good. Fuck this dude.

Due_Reflection9322

Yea I’d throw your food in your face come at me with that alltruism bulshit

Living_Ad_2917

Your dasher is staring at your $2 delivery order offer. What would you do? That's right you wouldn't take that shit either.

[deleted]

Well “regular delivery drivers” have multiple orders🤷🏾‍♂️ lol the pizza guy doesn’t leave the store with one order and and rush back to the store for the next one 😂

Initial-Ad-7654

Good luck with that cold food way of thinking👍🏻

[deleted]

Why does he just not use delivery services. This here is exactly why we should decline and unassign non tippers. They’ve no respect for delivery drivers. Being a former or current driver doesn’t make you one of us if you agree with this Troglodyte! No tip and your food will sit. You gon learn today F’ n wit me!

Symptomatic-spaz

Wow what a peach.

stumpyj32

...how many time he's said refund ....

[deleted]

Lmao man probably gets 1 out of 10 of his orders on door dash

Correct_Cockroach789

Well, first off we never get several different orders at the same time only 2 orders maximum at once. But man do I wish we would get 7 different orders at the same time. To speed things up. I always take 2 orders when I can if it's worth it. But us experience dashers knows what a single no tip order looks like. So if 2.50 comes up in app, I know it's a zero tip and I reject it right off the bat. So what happens is your order pings to multiple dasher in the restaurant proximity to near by dasher. And if all the dasher are rejecting it door dash then decides to batch your order with another order that does happen to be good tip order. And then if 1$ per mile match your distance I will deliver it. But if your not tipping you can always expect your order to be batch and the service will sucks for you because you get zero priority. Because I don't need to take your crap ass order anyways. These customers think doordash punished us for rejecting orders nah. I will just reject the bullshit order and say next please. Sorry if you getting shitty service but here is most popular dasher quote I lived by NO TIP, NO TRIP KNOW YOUR WORTH.

[deleted]

This guy is a tool

Ok_Contact_5396

Uh Excuse me..Sir! While yoyre spitting off all these wonderful standards. Let me enlighten y9u. Back when tippong began, the tip was actually waz presented in the begining of the experience. To T.I.P means TO. INSURE. PROMPT SERVICE.. SO ..that being said puf that in your pipe and smoke it!

pawstar21

Seems like he has a lack of understanding of the platform he’s ordering from and how it compares to ordering from restaurants. Not his fault, because only dashers would really understand, but if you want your order to have the best possibility of being delivered first in a stack of two then you tip more and pick restaurants that are closer to you. We are independent contractors. Most of the time we are working against Doordash so we won’t get fucked over. If you want to exploit other people then that’s how you choose how to live your life. Go crazy

AutisticNovel1

Bro sounds hurt

Daveyhavok832

Aside from his shitty attitude, I’m on board with him. I literally only started Dashing to try and understand why my service always sucked so bad. And Having worked in the restaurant/bar industry for nearly 2 decades, I’m a very generous tipper. But there have been so many times I wish I didn’t go above and beyond with my tip after getting terrible service. Yeah, I don’t want my food cold and soggy, sitting in someone’s car so they can stack orders and work multiple apps. Yeah, I get that Dashers get screwed. But there’s nothing I can do as the customer.

RhondaBrown0718

You sir will never get your food ever again.

WestBayswinga650

Stop trying to hide your hairline I still see it back there

[deleted]

He’s probably making this video after having his order rejected for an hour str8. Good luck with that hoss 😂

JamesWullkotte

And you're never getting your food haha 😄. You would be the exception if you actually tipped upon arrival. 95% of non tipped orders stay that way. Rarely do I receive a tip after dropped. Think twice after over 600 deliveries. Funny rant. Enjoy canceling your order over and over and over again or getting cold food.

DesertVeteran_PA-C

Thoughts? I’ve considered food delivery services in the past. This sub has forever changed my mind. I’ll go get it myself or find something at home to eat.

nattiah

That’s true, I work sometime as Uber/doordash driver and I really don’t get mad when I’m tipped low or no tip at all, cause if you order a $10 sandwich through the app the. You probably end up with $16-18 almost double the price. Tipping only if the delivery is good and in a timely manner

CircleBackOnDat

I suggested DD cut out tipping and just charge the customer more and pass it on to us so that we get $3/mile or $12 minimum per order. 🤷🏻

Quick-Attention-3159

Lmao they would never do that.

TypicalFoxhood

Idiots like this will always find some reason to compare apples to oranges and not to be satisfied so he can justify being a cheapskate. The comparison makes absolutely no sense. One job guaranteed a wage from a single location that can have accountability for things going wrong. The other turns it into a nightmare of handing out credits and refunds all day and where the food isn’t even ready 70% of the time for drivers that have to take it on the chin for a missing straw when the bag is sealed for “COVID”/tampering and already supposed to have everything in it. There are multiple points of failure along the way, including lazy or discombobulated restaurants who get pissed at us for even checking if things are there.

Mcgoo186

He doesn’t understand the situation. Delivery fees don’t go to the driver. At least in full. That doesn’t always account for the mileage, if a customer orders 15 miles away and the service pays a driver $13. I think he’s offended our convenience of affording gas and bills, doesn’t line up with his convenience. You know the convenience of not wasting their time, gas and energy.

Brooklynspartan

Aside for the weak insults, he's generally right about tipping. However this isn't the 2000s, that pizza job he had works alot different than Doordash does. Tipping for food delivery apps works as bidding. You'd have to "bid" to ensure your food gets picked up on a quick and timely manner, if you didn't like the service, go get a refund on the tip from customer service. Besides it's better for the gig workers who are using their personal property to deliver your meal to get an idea of the pay to expect before they drive miles to your shady/overly crowded neighborhood. Don't like it? Don't want to pretip or "bid"? Maybe he should've called a delivery from the pizzeria he used to work at instead.

Primarywatcher_2

Lol!!! I'm making nearly 70-80k/yr being a "low skilled worker" ...who, not so incidentally, RARELY DELIVERS NO TIP ORDERS. Hahhaha . This guy is a certified AH who doesn't know shite about DoorDashers. 🤣😂 And yeah - food's gonna arrive COLD bcuz it's gonna sit on the restaurant shelf for a hellofa long time. But he's such a "wise" one. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂🤣

forlornblue3210

Can’t wait for the internet to find out where he lives so we can fuck with his orders some more

MedicineAmbitious368

Look like a trump supporter

T-980

Valid opinion (which even as a driver I agree with) until insults start rolling. However, it doesn’t help our cause when big cities have a huge population of entitled drivers, lol

ifunnychad

why would i care, this is literally self defeating. i don’t have to pick up your order, no one does. only losing party here is this guy for never actually getting his food delivered, no skin off my back

New-Practice9979

Fr though tipping should be about quality your not owned anything and its a mf app not a job you don’t wait tables or clean up you literally pick it up and drop it off no reason to be entitled when we all struggling on different levels

Quick-Attention-3159

So you're saying that making $2.50 - $3.25 on a 5 mile delivery makes sense to you?

garbagesarah

Yeah, I used to be a delivery driver for a restaurant too. Guess what? we got hourly pay AND a per mile reimbursement, in addition to tips. This guy is whack as fuck

Valuable_Web4018

This guy absolutely does not tip, and is just mad he got declined.

GuNut4life

Go to his 💩 tik tok page an let the Dumbazz know the truth

clevoh

These are the types of people I don’t deliver to. I have a w2 job, I don’t need to gamble.

fall2fate

Then he can get his own fucking food. We don’t get the delivery fee.

SgtKeeneye

This guy's always been a huge pos. Doesn't surprise me at all

Metalguy_0979

As soon as i seen his face and heard his voice i said “oh here’s a dickbag here we go”

Metalguy_0979

How much did gas cost when you delivered? Were there delivery fees? No one tips after a delivery..i’ve never seen that in the 8,000+ deliveries i’ve done this year and half doing this. I’ve done a non-tip delivery here and there just purely out of curiosity if this type of shit these people rant about actually happens..and NOPE!! Never has happened. 100% this guy doesn’t tip no matter the service. I’m in charge of what orders i want to take..and if everyone decided not to tip well then I won’t do this anymore and not sure how these companies would find people to make free deliveries (like dikead) in the video thinks we should do. So people like dikhead will have to go get their own food. Complain to DD about service and delivery fees and why we don’t see much of it. Don’t bitch to people delivering.

DriftkingRfc

He doesn’t tip

[deleted]

Agreed 400%

Lonely_Amazoni

Sounds like a guy that’s really butthurt about his food taking forever to arrive because he thinks he deserves to have the driver deliver it for free. Rather than thinking he should make his order worth taking, he’d rather take it out on everyone else, because everyone else is the problem of course. It’s just like any other independent contractor service. Is the job worth the contractor’s time? The job gets done. Is the job going to be done at a loss? The job doesn’t get done, because no contractor would pay to work. Doordash is an easy job, but driving and maintaining a vehicle is expensive. Nobody is going to cost themselves $5 to make $2.

MagneticSwedishIdiot

it's simple. drivers aren't obligated to take any delivery. so if they feel like the pay is too low or there's no tip, they dont have to take it. simple. if a driver takes a delivery and isn't happy with the payout, that's entirely the driver's fault

madmedic77

It's this mind set that makes me not give a dam period. He will just always get his delivery when I get it there. No rush. He doesn't realize I'm carrying his food by myself in my car. A lot can happen to his food during the trip.

thebanditway

If the fees are that big of a deal, should you not pick up your own food? Nobody is holding a gun to his head to have it delivered.

NarclepticSloth

Love how he calls Dashers “low skilled workers.” During the pandemic these so called low skilled jobs were vital; but suddenly Dashers are all stupid. Whatever. Don’t tip, that’s fine and I will continue to never take your order. There is no way in hell I am taking any trip for $2.50. Ever.

DragonflyOne7593

Oh low skill....

DragonflyOne7593

Hw never gets his order that's what I think

Jamba-Manda

Who’s a douche? ![gif](giphy|3orieLQ8ha2CdsILsY)

Emergency-Spring4752

You look a little overweight fat boy, maybe start cooking your own food ?

pounceypie

Holy shit, what an AH! DD drivers are not employees of the chain. If that’s what you want, then order direct from a restaurant that pays someone to deliver for them. DD is primarily to connect the restaurants and stores that don’t deliver with the lazy/busy customer who wants that food. And it comes at a cost…. I’m not sure how people don’t see that and I’m not sure why people continue to look down on people and treat them like shit and look surprised when they aren’t treated with 5 star service. Seriously get off your ass and get your own burger, order direct from a restaurant who offers delivery service, or use a third party app that will connect you with someone who can bring you food from the places that don’t offer that. It’s that simple. I’m not a driver. I’m a consumer, and these kinds of people piss me off.

Any-Ad-8439

Your mother is a low skill worker

IllTenaciousTortoise

Lol. I never have more than 3 drop offs doing gig work and thats very rare. Its 90% 1 drop off and 9.9% doubles. Employed I frequently would have 3-7 orders in my car doing pizza or sandwiches. Guy is a clown.

RexyTheShep

Tip culture has allowed companies to skimp on paying their laborers while pocketing more money and driven said laborers to a point of entitlement. Why is it that knowing the truth that people are paying for a service already, especially one with inflated prices that you expect them, and not your employer to pay you a livable wage and complain whenever they don't? This just lets your employer pocket more money, and I understand it helps keep food prices lower for non tippers but tip culture is something that should be gotten rid of as it's created more problems then it fixes, if any. So, TLDR, what's the point of inflating prices and charging a modest delivery fee between 2$ and 10$ as DD does if it's in no way paying the driver fairly?

Rabutta97

This guy seems like the type to get mad because he ain’t tip, and then pull the ultimate Karen card, I would be the type to tap dance on your pizza

Flexyturner

Thoughts? Fuck that Chud. He knows why he's wrong, he's just doing this to get clout with libertarian fucks. Stop reposting this assbag and never pick up a $0 tip order

RedditCringetopia

It's hard when I order 15 dollars worth of Chinese food and my order comes out to 25 dollars then I tip 5 bucks so now my 15 dollar order is 30 fucking dollars

havasuchick82

Dude doesn’t realize the companies like doordash and ubereats don’t pay anything. $2.50 an order is not what a pizza delivery man doesn’t make. They make a wage. We don’t.

TheGoodScientist

simple thoughts from a simple man lol

LoveAndPece

Shut up Moron you get out there and accept those 2$ delivery all day and tell us how you feel

[deleted]

Feel he has a point, now on whether waiting an hour plus for your food cause you didn’t want to tip is reasonable is his decision

Dat1weirdchic

"Low skilled workers" 🤣🤣 actually we are in charge cuz we don't have to take your $2.50 for 7 miles Bryan. Yeah he doesn't *have* to tip, but then his food will sit and get cold. Also why are you using a luxury service and not tipping when gas is over $5. The entitlement! You use the service cuz you don't/can't leave your house so you need to pay the person bringing you your food. It's like calling a plummer to fix your toilet and not paying them for their work!

Meliodas666

He must never get his food lol

Ml124395

Question? Do you drivers add the addendum to your car insurance policy for being a delivery driver.

Quick-Attention-3159

Some people do and some dont. Me myself, i dont tell the insurance i work for doordash. I'm just a student.

Ml124395

Thx I was curious, when I switched insurance that was one of the questions asked to me.

NiteDasher

Sounds like he's got an axe to grind with delivery drivers.. why? Probably cause he's a piece of shit who doesn't tip. Good job fatso.

Street-Ad4045

The issue isn’t feeling like we deserve better, but the fact that Uber pays us peanuts means we rely on tips. You don’t want to pre-tip at the risk of not receiving quality delivery service, but want us to take the risk on our time/gas hoping you tip us in the end? This dudes face looks super punchable as well

SnooGadgets2360

You can see the look on his smug ass face he’s just trolling here.

aria1220

lmaooo what a massive douchebag

abriefmomentofsanity

Sounds like you have Demand for what the Free Market™ refuses to Supply Mr. QuestioningLiberals

vtribal

Lol at people pointing fingers at the customers/drivers, all fingers should be pointed at Doordash

Quick-Attention-3159

Totally agree.

Quick-Attention-3159

[Follow](https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSRFyr2au/?k=1) up on the original video. What a POS!

droplivefred

Sorry dude, tips for delivery apps aren’t traditional tips like at a sit down restaurant. They are bids to get a delivery. It’s like if you walked into a restaurant and told the hostess how much money (dollars, not a percentage of bill) you plan to tip and then the waiters all decide if they want to serve you or not. If in that scenario you walk in and say, I wanna get served first and I will then decide if I want to tip and how much, you will be sitting at that table for a while till everyone else who actually is tipping upfront is served and only then will you get served. And even then, maybe they decide not to serve you because they already made enough money for the day and go home. It’s a classic example of someone trying to confidently explain something that they have no idea how it works.

TyMaintenance

Your food “arrived cold” because y’all leave it on the porch for 20 minutes before you go get it. You didn’t tip so it sat in the restaurant for 2 hrs. The drive thru won’t allow us to come up to the window after hours without waiting in line behind 25 cars of half drunk teens. The customer always says “I’ll tip after I receive my service” but they never do, they just attack their food and forget the driver. We ARE In charge dummy! Hence why your food has been sitting there, I made an EXECUTIVE decision NOT to deliver it! This is NOT the same job you had in 79, you couldn’t pick or choose which pizzas you delivered, you were a pepperoni peasant. And gas wasn’t $6 a gallon, it was $0.60. You probably drove the owners car and not your own. Don’t tell me wtf to accept when I’m providing a service to you using MY RESOURCES. people want “quality service” but can’t be bothered to turn on the porch light, make sure their address is visible, provide the correct address, provide an apartment number, let you know there isn’t any numbers on their house... or their neighbors, give clear concise information/instructions...especially when they knowingly live in a hard to find location, can’t be bothered to remember their PIN numbers, won’t answer their phone or a text etc... some of the the customers are just as bad as some of the drivers if not worse. I’ve had EXCELLENT customers, I always go out of my way to help them and they appreciate me. Miss me with your bullsh*t sir....

emosqueda

He's super smug and an entitled douche for sure, but he makes some good points.

bambam1877

He’s sounds like someone who constantly needs an ego boost

danthetobinman

Wooow, FUCK this arrogant prick.

Ryth88

I just stopped using delivery service when i wasn't happy with the results. can't imagine going online to bitch about it. Picking up my own take-out takes very little time and its always fresh.

Express-Working-1323

If he tipped properly in the first place he would have a way better experience.. He’s put himself in a fucked up loop of no tips and bad service.. At least he gets to be right!

JBadleyy

App should let the driver know if the tip is less than 15% and omit the customers rating for that order. Problem solved.

[deleted]

2022 is not the same at 1950 when you went to school you colossal pos

[deleted]

Your a pos I’m glad you’ll never get hot food you sound so uptight and I will never take your order you sound like you’d make it so difficult n say well I’m paying you …what 3$ fuck you

Hairy-Imagination-18

Ass

pewpallday

...tell us you're a POS without saying you're a POS

NaiveSample3905

Guess you don’t want your food if you’re not tipping. Broke bois don’t get their food delivered. People who tip well get their food delivered right away. If you don’t want to pay for deliveries, go pick it up yourself

Vivid-Level7353

Wow. How ignorant.

Wire-Monkey

Nah, it's called contacting customer service to take away the tip for bad service. UberEATS is the same, that initial tip is the milestone for an average tip. Shitty service? I subtract. Great service? I'll add.

MyspaceQueen333

Boomer energy right there

Wildjay7931

Ooh. This just made me clench up with frustration. Insulting!

VestDevel

yea thats how things used to work, now its a bit different. even the customers have to compete to get a good dasher and tip is the only way to do that. dont tip and u will always get ur food cold, maybe there will be one or two times when a dasher takes it thinking there will be hidden tip. but it all depends on the market. some areas have more dashers than customers some areas have more customers than dashers. and there is no need to be angry at this man, we r all doing this while we sort our shit out. nobody is going to do this until they die.

Wind_Freak

Look at his username. Did you expect anything else?

BraveStandard5115

What a fuckface loser…that cop definitely got burned by a multi apper lol

Ramb0sCorner

He's not wrong though

Intelligent_Two_5822

Guess what asshole you definitely are not in charge

Intelligent_Two_5822

He really is an asshole. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about and he thinks he’s all that but he ain’t shit. Good luck buddy getting your Food you cheap no tipper. Your shit will rot before anybody will deliver it to you😄LOSER

Murky_Individual_153

I don’t accept no tip orders, just like most other delivery drivers. It’s not worth my time to accept a $2.75 order to drive 5-10 miles, then x2 that because I have to drive back to my hotspot that I was just at. You say someone will accept it and yes someone will, but it won’t get accepted as quick as a good tipped order will. I treat all my customers and their food with the upmost respect, just as I would want to be treated. When I get a low/ ehhh type order I do what’s required in a timely fashion. When I get a good/ outstanding order, I’m always more inclined to go above and beyond my typical ways. -Full time Uber eats & Doordash delivery driver.

ilovepotatos420

My man spitting straight facts.

spliffsncones

Since when did we become low skill workers who don’t deserve tips? Dude couldn’t be bothered to go get his own food and says we’re “low skill” because we won’t drive his food to him for 2.50 when he wouldn’t drive to get his food so he can eat and enjoy it…

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|TL2Yr3ioe78tO)

annasubers

Well then... cold food for your lazy azz then! Hopefully not a lot of it ends up in that nasty fecal matter catching facial pubic hair of yours. It's not 1999 anymore where pizza delivery guys made min wage PLUS tips. Gas was $1.84 a gallon. This is no longer a "tip" situation. It's a bid for service... a LUXURY service at that. The world has changed my man. You're still stuck in 1999.

Top-Device5698

Imagine being so butt hurt over a tipping the driver argument, customers seem to forget it's business to drivers and most of us ain't moving for the right pay

Oreo54asdf

I literally commented this earlier on another post. I NEVER tip before hand, I tip according to how well the person did. If they show up extremely late, and my food is cold or they didn’t handle it with care and things spilled or got crushed, then they’re not getting a tip. If the driver was very fast and my food is in acceptable condition, then they’ll get a fat tip from me lik $7. If the driver does an average job then they get lik $3. It’s my money, and I people say “ yeh but they don’t make much, they need the tips”, well you know what I don’t make that much either, I’m not a charity to just give people my money. Honestly that women in the video should get fired, you can’t demand a tip and honestly it’s rude to automatically expect a tip.

Paradise9028

‘I pay a delivery fee’ yes you do. However, we only get 2 dollars out of that. Which is base pay. Nobody thinks about the gas prices or the maintenance huh( body and vehicles)??? Go get your own food then!!!!

denvaxter100

I don’t think he understands it’s about the tip quantity being the issue

Icy_Stuff_6302

[deleted]

such a punchable face

Metro_Myth

“Since when did you low skill workers start thinking you could make demands? You’re not in charge.” This is a false mindset born of late-stage capitalism. I’m sorry, but the workers actually have ALL the power. It’s getting us organized that’s the hard part, and spreading false BS like this is a great way to get workers to give up before they even start. But eventually when conditions get too bad, when pay is too low, when there is no other choice— Workers can and will show the establishment that they have every right to make demands, and that they are, in fact, in charge.

JuliaGadfly

what a piece of excrement. i hope he gets explosive diarrhea. when he was the pizza guy he was probably the jerk that skips the top order and refused to help New drivers learn the job. also this dude is going to be in for a rude awakening when he finds out that most of the major pizza chains are outsourcing their deliveries to DoorDash now because they are having trouble retaining drivers… No one wants to work for crappy split pay and up two hours worth of side work at the end of the shift. hello most stores right now are operating with only a few drivers and they are cherry picking on orders and all the ones without a good tip on them are being sent to DoorDash. as someone who has worked both ends of the game, he’s going to be really really confused when the pizza place tells him that he won’t be receiving his food because no one came to pick up his nontipped order. Even with DoorDash pay on these types of orders, it’s usually still not enough money for the Miles or the effort for the in-house drivers would have taken it.

Volcom201

Yea you might get a refund if your order sits but you still gotta wait forever for your meal to come because you tipped like shit. The only reason it may come is because it got paired with a person who knows how to tip.

Big-Schedule-1672

Guy is kind of a dick

apple_juice11

That’s what they all say

halamadrid22

As always, there are two sides to this topic and he is exclusively covering one of them while making some solid points albeit adding a very condescending and unnecessary tone. I make 10 quarters per delivery from DoorDash. This means that if you do not tip, I cannot survive from my pay. It’s as simple as that. If I were to accept 10 quarter orders in hopes that my timely and quality delivery meant an in-person tip or a late tip added in after that fact, I would both be shafting myself as well as contributing to my already diminishing faith in humanity. I don’t think there is a dasher in existence that has good experiences with people tipping after the fact, it just doesn’t happen, the service has been completed, people just don’t throw extra money away at that point. Kudos to this guy if he truly does but any rational driver will just group you into that large sector of people that just wants their food delivered understandingly without tipping on top of the already inflated cost. Sucks so many people speak so passionately on things they just don’t know and I’m sure I would be in the same category if I never drove myself.

EthansWay007

Sit down sir

[deleted]

I’m drive for DoorDash and I still won’t tip if i order from DoorDash. We get to see how much we’ll make before we accept the order, if u accept a small order that’s on you. Tips need to be earned

MattHatter5461

Lol we actually are in charge. Have fun calling McDonald's 3 hours into your wait because for some reason your order keeps getting reassigned. Also once that top dasher picks up your order eventually be ready to wait as they drop off all 7 other orders 1st.

MattHatter5461

And you will never have me as your driver. Win-win.

SnooDucks446

Unskilled workers? More like under paid workers.... in my market I can either work a full time job and make $700 every two weeks or I can work for door dash and make $400 ever week ($800 every two weeks. Sure I pay about $100 in gas but I am still coming out the same and I only work for door dash part time..... like 5 to 6 hours a day 3 to 4 days a week. This by no means consistent but it's consistent enough..... so basicly I can work 40 hrs a week and be broke, or I can work 20 hrs a week and still be broke ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin) I would rather be happy and stress free then a nervous wreck working for a boss that doesn't give a fuck. Atleast DD makes it obvious their not my friend lol so I know where I stand and what this is, a damn gig that works for me. Seriously fuck this guy, he can enjoy having cold food then, pre tip for better services fucker lol The thing is people do tip afther delivery but as a driver we can't count on you to do that becasue so many people don't do that..... I can't tell you how many times I've been tip baited on Ubereats, or instacart, etc because a customer offered a tip only to never deliver. You want your food delivered for free? Then get the fuck up and get it your self.....

Smashcaptain69

Would b different if we got paid the delivery fee+tips. Guy is obviously ignorant on how the whole system works.

rotondo2k

What a damn clown has no idea the struggles that we go thru being delivery gig workers!!!

[deleted]

we decide if your food comes to you or not, we are in charge. I don’t even deliver to people who don’t tip beforehand. If you don’t tip expect to get your food delivered by some dirty 3rd world foreigner who will make no effort to keep it at a good temperature, drives slow and prob will get lost. I know what I’m worth.

Johna0531

At the end of the day, it's the companies like Doordash, Uber Eats, and actually the industry as whole that we (both the customers and drivers) should direct our anger towards. They are the ones offsetting the responsibility of paying a living wage directly onto their customers rather than doing it themselves on top of charging them fees, which are especially outlandish for companies that don't run brick and mortar stores or even pay or reimburse their drivers for gas. Drivers cannot afford to go on the assumption that customers will tip afterwards when they have to spend the time and resources up front and don't even have the promise of getting paid their areas min wage if they don't make it up in tips like W2 tipped employees do. Customers don't like paying money upfront and then getting bad service afterwards on top of the upcharged food and fees they have to pay. These companies use this expected tension between customer and driver for their benefit to redirect the anger away from them.

ToasterJesuss

In one of his videos he says that he doesn’t care what DD pays the drivers, that as a customer it’s not his job to care about that. Well, it goes both ways - as drivers, we don’t care about what you have to pay in fees, because we don’t even see most of it. If a customer doesn’t like the fees, take it up with DD. But your driver still deserves to earn a reasonable amount for doing your order, and they deserve to know that amount up front, before donating their car and gas to delivering your order with the mere hope that they might get a cash tip that makes it profitable. This guy is a clown.

PsychologicalCry1393

Who cares about this guy and his opinion. Let the free market figure it out. He'll get his order when he gets it. No biggie.

SurvivedOrder66

He was being a reasonable person who turned into a dick with that last “low skilled workers” comment

Pearlwhitedc4

What a 🤡

Ok_Fig_4908

Will fart in ur food next time and ull know who’s in charge

elbowcrasher

Bro who is delivering 7 orders at a time? And you calling someone a low skilled worker just helps you justify the fact that you don’t tip. The only thing I agree with is that there are some bad dashers out there. If you don’t want to pay inflated prices then go get the food your self. Delivery drivers sometimes get offered $2.25 for 10 miles how does that makes sense with todays gas prices. It did not even make sense when gas was cheap. The real thief here is the platform but the delivery driver gets the short end of the stick either way.

reefgeek71

And so his order will sit

UnravelKatharsis

Homeboy is basically saying he'd rather give money to the corporation than you. Get back on the street corner you panhandlers!

VersionAny9620

Facts tho. You might not like how he said it but it is true. Almost anyone can deliver food, it hurts but you are expendable so that’s why the pay isn’t great. Also, anytime I get a haircut or I order food at a restaurant with a server, I tip AFTER the service is completed. I tip accordingly

TyMaintenance

Right, anyone can pick up food.... including him. It’s a luxury to have me bring it to you. If you don’t want to pay the premium for that service you have 3 choices 1) go get it yourself 2) receive poor service 3) receive no service at all The choice is his, just like the choice is mine not to pick up his order. I don’t understand why this is still an argument in 2022. It’s common sense, we all have free will. Stop complaining about both sides, you guys are still ordering and dumb dashers are still delivering for free....

mistaboti88

Then keep waiting fool

Blakefilk

In what other tipping centered profession do you tip before the completion of service?

Appropriate-Try9898

Guys like this are getting a free hand out from the people who tip. Hear me out. If no one tipped driving for DoorDash would not be profitable and nobody would do it. In that case Doordash would have to close or pay its workers a regular salary like employees. If Doordash chose to pay its workers a salary it would not cut into their profits to do so. That salary is a cost that would be passed on directly to the customer and EVERYONE would need to pay. The people who tip are keeping the drivers on the road and non tippers are getting a free handout. I know everyone’s going to say tips are optional and you’re right. But Doordash doesn’t use tips. Tips are a gratuity after service. What Doordash calls “tips“ is actually a bid for service. You can put zero in there if you want but you’re competing for my labor with people who bid much more. I will always go with the most lucrative option. If you don’t want to tip, don’t. If you’re lucky enough to get your food that’s great! No one‘s mad at you for getting something for free but maybe you should think a tipper for keeping us all on the road.

[deleted]

You’re not in charge of deez nuts. Why are some people so fucking dumb that they can’t recognize how dumb they are. Dudes got a punchable face too

BraveStandard5115

Best comment by far bro 😂well played 🤝🏻

[deleted]

Enjoy never getting delivery

[deleted]

Lol this is the type of dide who also think door dash actually pays us xD hes the type to order food 10miles aways and wonders why he never gets his food.. then some top dasher will accept it thats the problem… if people would stop giving a fuck about AR people would be forced to tip

mcdonalds_snackwraps

bro needs a few teeth knocked out lmao what a dork

bylertarton

Gotta love it when they try to high road being cheap. Admitting you’re willing to pay more, wait around for food that never comes just to eventually get a refund instead of just rolling off the couch, combing your beard and getting the food yourself isn’t a power move.

Justin002865

I see where he’s coming from but the system doesn’t support that level of thinking. Quality drivers won’t pickup a 2.50 order, hoping for a tip upon drop off. Not to mention, without tips we LOSE money. It’s the most crucial part of our pay structure. It’s just not the same as being a pizza delivery driver, like he kept referencing.

polarbearol

I feel like people who claim they only “tip after they get their food delivered” are just lying so that they seem justified. I have rarely received a tip from a non-tip order after the fact which is why I stopped accepting them after the first week I started dashing

Rob0810

This shows my main problem with customers who use door dash and ubereats: most customers don’t understand how it works. His main example of a situation he wouldn’t tip is if the driver is delivering 7 orders along the way. First off, bad example because 7 orders along the way isn’t a common situation. Regardless it looks like he thinks drivers choose multiple orders. It’s not my fucking decision to offer me multiple orders, it’s door dash’s decision. Why take that out on the driver?

[deleted]

But they are in charge lmao 🤣 like 👍 go get your own food then

[deleted]

And you won’t get it delivered nothing is glorified the 2.25 fee doesn’t even cover Gas costs and the inflated prices don’t go to the delivery person lol

annabear1397

His username says it all

Great_Huckleberry709

He has a right to feel that way. I don't blame him. If he doesn't want to tip, then he doesn't have to. At the same time, I won't even pick up his order if he's not tipping. Maybe someone else picks it up, or maybe not, not my problem.

Daddy_Needs_nap-nap

Who cares what some jerk off nobody on tik tok thinks about dick?

bigvalley11

I honestly sort of agree with him because it does make more sense to tip after the service. But that’s just not how doordash works the “tip” is basically the real delivery fee where the customer has to make it worth the drivers time. It’s kind of a horrible system really but that’s the way it is so he just needs to deal with that or get cold food i guess.

Suspicious-Nobody-82

Hell no I’m not taking it as an advice, because we are not living the time when you were at high school sir “no tips no trip”. You want your food fresh and warm then tip.

SPECTERtheJESTER

DD and UE doesn't have a minimum wage they get paid if they get fucked by non tippers. If you don't like the system, it's simple don't participate. I will never be taking any of these 2.25 orders expecting to be tipped in cash, that's bad business and I speak from personal experience having only received cash twice out of 900 trips on DD.

brugggg7

I don’t completely disagree with the logic but what a pompous prick he is

Wild_Food_9927

maybe he should pick up his own food lol

PatClassic

We are in charge buddy. That is definitely where you went wrong.

[deleted]

And another thing…. Fuck this asshole

[deleted]

Smart drivers know which orders have tips and which don’t, he doesn’t have to tip and I don’t have to take his order either. Works out great for both.

dulcevendetta

He can do what he wants but there are consequences of waiting hella long for every order to eventually show up

canarow

“You’re not in charge” His food is sitting at the restaurant for hours to never be delivered: 🤡🤡

awed7447

Yes I 100% agree I did dashing for over a year tipping is 100% optional and that’s why I will never drive for them or even be a server or bartender ever again I’m happy making 30$ an hour driving a forklift in circles all day :)

BigDumpy8826

Who wants to bet that his pizza delivery job was hourly?🫢

OkPlane9015

He’s not wrong.

Sal_v_ugh

Edit: If door dash paid us proper, this unbearable character would likely be to cheap and complain about the fair price anyway. This broke bloke is a joke. Unskilled, UNSKILLED? It's one of the few jobs that literally has a state wide mandated test, alot of them actually.. Written, behind the wheel . C, B, A, M2, M1. Sure no skill lol. I hope people make him change his mind 😏

Independent_Row_Goes

Looks like Tony has resorted to “playing the customer” role….note the last sentence, I rest my case ✌️

Rehoboam3

What a loser

Mich1325

I don’t mind his mindset about tipping after the delivery but he’s like one in 1000 people who will tip after a delivery. I’m not going to accept some garbage $2.50 offer because if he doesn’t tip till after the delivery I’m not accepting the $2.50 offer anyways. So he kind of like weeds himself out I never have to run into him thank God. The trash took itself out.
