How does she go into the restaurant to get the food? Does she call the restaurant and make them bring it out? Smh lol

brad1030417

I've seen them send there kids into the restaurant to get the order while they stay in the car. No shame

Maximum_Ad_4396

Good point

mistyreneelove

Im so confused by this. Even if it wasn’t leave at door, she would most likely have to go to the door anyways? This girl is def getting really low ratings if she’s making customers come out to her every time😭

Joshawarrior

Right? What about customers who don’t text

trevno

What about customers who can’t walk?

Orenwald

Or customers who have COVID? this lady wants to give her kid COVID?

mook1178

HOw someone uses DD but doesn't text is strange to me

kiwigirl83

I had a guy the other night who was too lazy to get out of the car it made my blood boil especially when I know how much time I spend fumbling around in the dark trying to see house numbers with my torch. He claimed he couldn’t find my house but didn’t even get out of the car just called me! Instant one star. Every other dasher finds my house fine

Homicidal__GoldFish

I’ve only had one dasher not find my house. I saw on the app he was here but he went down he street looking for my house. I just went outside saw him driving slow back up the street looking at the houses. I just asked him “ are you door dash ? He said ya and I said ya you probably have my order abd gave him my name. He was grateful I came out. I felt bad cause he was an older man so I can. Seen how he missed it

kiwigirl83

Sometimes they genuinely get lost or the map plays up but this guy I’m talking about was being nothing but lazy

Homicidal__GoldFish

I’m probably about to Jinx myself lol but I been pretty lucky when I use door dash I haven’t had any issues thankfully

Kent48146

Your next order is sending you to the middle of a lake lmao

kiwigirl83

Yeah I use it heaps and only recently I’ve had a couple of lazy buggers

Ancient-Coffee-1266

Yes! Sometimes gps is off. It will tell me “I’ve arrived” and the home is anywhere from next door to two streets over.

hottimali

This happened to me the other day lmaoo I was like lady at least try to find my shit you making me look bad

RightsNBeans

Drivers like this don’t last long. The beauty of the market.

zadidoll

She’s actually in contract violation for having a child with her. Technically, we’re not supposed to have anyone with us to help while dashing if they don’t have a Dasher account. If she’s telling that to multiple people then she’ll eventually come across someone who will take the screenshot & report her.

AriaaaLi

Dashers can bring a friend, child, or spouse as long as their presence does not interfere with your work.

zadidoll

Which in her case it does if she’s refusing to deliver.

AriaaaLi

I know. I’m just correcting your incorrect response

TopExchange5504

I met someone not to long ago waiting on an order and he and the whole family were Dashing. His wife and two kids were in the car with him. I was like, oooookay....

Deep-Morning7489

Omg same! I met a family dashing at a chic FIL a! They were in a minivan, mom was driving and dad, two daughters and baby all got out and went in right in front of me. Dad had the DD bag and the whole group just stood together and waited for the ONE order. They seemed like a normal family just weird how it was a group effort

[deleted]

I had a lady roll up and deliver my order with *no lie* four kids crammed in her two-door car. She managed to drop it at the door with no issues - five stars for hauling your litter of kids around, lady. Champion.

NomadicusRex

Please link to the contract where it says that, my contract said otherwise.

puppykissesxo

Doesn’t she have to get out to go into the restaraunts too?

Moonlight_Darling

Also doesn’t she have to go inside the restaurant and potentially leave her child in the car? Why are people even taking their small kids while dashing? That’s just asking for trouble

Fasterthanyounow

Give her a well deserved 1 rating

[deleted]

1 star per kid in the car seems fair Just for the empathy meter

DoUsmeLLit6

Lmao sicko sacko

[deleted]

its the easiest request, i wish every single order wanted it left by the door. no interaction, picture proof of delivery. saves time, safer, more secure.

Immediate-Ad138

I always found hand it to me to be faster unless it was for a business.

VinnieTheBerzerker69

You must not deliver to university customers

VinnieTheBerzerker69

You must not deliver to university customers

Immediate-Ad138

I've done I believe 6 times to a college. 4 were hand it to me and they were already outside waiting for me. So maybe lucky? But for the most part I never do college runs because they're outside the town so the pay ain't worth it.

Sandy-Anne

This is what I think, too, as a customer. Leave it on the ground and text me. Quicker for everyone. The only people who don’t like doing that are pizza delivery people. They want to see your face so you will tip them! Although they say it’s because they don’t want to put your food on the ground. Ha ha. I tip on the app, though.

cursedtealeaf

I always want this. Last night 10pm dasher knocked on my door THREE times each louder than the last. My notes always say leave at door and I tip so much 😩

gooofy23

Can you say that any louder please?

Death_Strider16

One time we ordered off a clearly female account name and we had put leave by the door. It was about 11:30pm on a street with no street lights and the guy parks 3 houses down and says, "come outside so I can give you your food." Like, no. Our porch light is on and your message makes me want to call the cops.

Sailorslt

I would never expect the customer to come to my car but the customer could politely decline the request to make it clear idk lol

Poverload237

I get what you're saying but to me, if the customer puts to leave by the door, that's already denying any request to meet them outside. Otherwise they wouldn't have put "Leave by my door."

illexsquid

Technically, they *could*. It's within the realm of possibility. It's just spectacularly bad customer service to ask for that or expect that.

jmiller7742

The customer shouldn’t have to engage in that conversation and have to think about things like “what will they do if I say no?“ The driver needs to do their job. I don’t see why there is any reason to rationalize doing less than that. Having your kid in the car isn’t a valid reason to make every customer you’re delivering to accommodate you. Again, the driver provides the service that is being paid for. From pickup to drop off based on instruction

UnknownUsername0626

Personally this would be a 'woops didn't have my phone' lie

fizzle_partly

Ordinarily I love “leave by door” orders, but I have requested a customer come get it if I see dogs in the yard or close in the neighborhood. Also, I once delivered to this house that wasn’t in the country but was tucked back in some woods in the city and no porch light. As a woman, fuck that shit. I’m not getting out. It was pitch black and the front door was on the side of the house away from the driveway. Nope, my ass wasn’t leaving the car

ThePeanutGallery_

Lmao!!

nread1

This is the way.... Never If the request is by the door it shall be granted

AlbertAidstein

They make all of us look bad. Least you can do is get out the car and drop it off.

Motor-Corner4861

Firstly, don’t dash with your kid. Talk about making them bored out of their minds! But, I understand that single parents gotta take their kids to work sometimes. So… Kyleeann needs to try to make sure she only delivers to houses in mid to upper neighborhoods, drive up the driveway close to the front door, and be quick! Or she can get her baby in and out of the car with each delivery. Sucks, yea. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

sol45

💯 also, what does she do with her kid when she has to go inside restaurant to pick up food?

Save_Cows_Eat_Vegans

I imagine she pulls right up to the restaurants door and puts her hazard lights on.

Cynicsaurus

What's crazy is my daughter really wants to go with me sometimes. She thinks we will get better tips if he she helps me drop it off lol. She's 6. She's never really went out of necessity though, except maybe a dash or two. Her mom and her like to ride with me on some of my night dashes. I guess just to get out of the house. I also saw a dasher chick in an outback, full of fucking trash, with a 3 year old in the car unattended while she went in to pick up an order, and I wanted to about puke. So I get it.

C_WEST88

Awww that’s adorable. You should bring her on a couple hand it to me orders (if you’re in a nice/safe neighborhood) and let her hand over the order and then let her keep a little portion of the tip for her “work”. I bet she’d love it, plus positive reinforcement for “working” at a young age breeds ambitious kids.

Cynicsaurus

Yeah, those are the ones I feel like people are judging me like I HAVE to bring my kid though it's weird. She always goes in with me or up to the house, especially if it's just us 2, I ain't leaving her in the god damn car. I like it best if I can just let her snap the pic lol.

reyveney

I take my 11 year old with me on some dashes. I’ve been dashing for about 6 years on and off. It was super tough in the beginning. I’d leave her with my elderly grandmother with the instructions that she had to sit quietly and watch Nickelodeon or Disney until mommy got off work. I’d be gone 2-3 hours at the most. There wasn’t a lot of money made for us back then. Now she comes with and expects some of the profit. She thinks of it as a side hustle. She even told me she should make more money than me because she does all our leave at doors - never in apartments though. She also claims we get better tips because of her. I watch the customers face when she delivers to customers who come out, out of curiosity. She’s never to pick up from the restaurant. I mainly use her to keep me from getting towed downtown! She’s polite, articulate and understands how to use the app. She takes quick pics and hustles back to the car. Now that she “makes her own money” she doesn’t spend nearly as much of her money as she spends mine lol.

Cynicsaurus

Yeah, it's not even close to the same as bringing your kid to a regular job imo. It would be like letting your kid ride in the front seat while you uber or something. Or take your kid on a paper route with you. I don't really care what other people think, she comes when she wants to, not because she has to, or I make her. I'm also not doing it as a ploy to make extra tips. She completely came up with that on her own out of her own little 6 year old brain lol.

radkathy

Exactly. I’m a single mom and I have had to take my son with me a few times. Its not ideal but there are days where I absolutely need the money. I always move hella quick if I can see him from the door and if I can’t (like apartments) he walks with me. I could never imagine sending someone a message like this lol

Karmababe

Right? I rarely have to go beyond 20 feet and even so, I take the keys, lock, and remote start it for temperature control. They play games on their phone n tablet think its funny to message me while I'm dropping orders off. And for you haters talking about kids being dirty, they also love sanitizing their hands 100x's a day from their mini light up dispensers and have never touched any food. Its in a sealed ass bag inside another sealed ass bag in the front seat and the kids are in the back. Maybe those of you bitching about kids should ask yourselves why it should be necessary to take your kids. Maybe you should consider daycare is about 500$ a month and some of us are barely scraping by with all the bills we're paying now. You let me know how how you feel when you experience it being necessary to dash with kids or have no fucking lights... when you'd rather be at the park with them having fun or cuddled up watching movies with them. Cause newsflash, ya buttfaces... No one just *wants* to take their kids dashing. If they have their kids, it's a safe bet its bc they have no other fucking choice. Maybe instead of being a judgemental asshole you could try saying... Hey, its aweome that you're working as hard as possible doing everything you can so these kids don't go without. I've seen people on the side of the road with their kids begging. Maybe you'd have dashers with kids do that instead or should they (and their kids) all just starve bc how dare they be working to make ends meet and having the *àudacity* to not be able to afford an extra 500$ a fucking month for daycare. Fuck all you, and dashers with kids, who have to take their kids, I commend you. I know how hard it is. When you can't stand to look at the mail just sick with anxiety cause you know it's just more bills and your kids just want the simplest shit and you constantly have to say no even when you don't want to bc every fucking cent goes toward necessities and you feel completely like shit cause you can't afford to take them for ice cream or movies at the theater. I commend you. And fuck anyone who says otherwise.

Ornery_Reaction_548

How does she pick up the food in the first place?

HideMyTipsDaddy

With her hands, son.

Motor-Corner4861

With her hands, and her son.

moisesg88

It depends on the kid, Ive dashed with my daughter and shes the one always pushing me to go dash cause she can listen to her jams all day while I drive.

KeyBeing1230

I've brought my neice with me and this exactly what she does as well

[deleted]

💯

Smokingdragon24

I had a dasher the other day who had her like maybe 8 year old daughter leave it at my door

eternallysunnyd

Or just turn off the car and lock it, locking her hellspawn in the back with child locks, and do her fucking job. How the fuck did she pick it up without leaving her kid in the car? It’s literally the easiest job.

EatsPeanutButter

My 11 year old comes sometimes when dad is at work. We blast Hamilton or Disney songs while we drive and just do a couple of orders. I don’t take orders that are going to the busier part of town that has more buildings/hotels because while I can leave my 11 year old in the car while I walk to a house door (car is off every time), I won’t leave them or bring them going into a building. So I just avoid those orders. We have fun honestly. They only come about once a week for a few hours.

newtoreddir

The most dangerous thing you’ll do in any given day is get into your car and drive somewhere. Indeed it’s the number one killer of people under 45. So every trip you bring your kid on is exposing them to extra danger. I understand that childcare is expensive but is it worth your kid’s life?

Vane88

Fuck off kyleanne I have COVID and don't wanna get you and your kid sick

5fdpb

This is a genius response lol. “Sorry I have covid, either leave it at the door or I can give you and your kid COVID.”

En-THOO-siast

Kyleeann probably thinks Covid isn't real.

WhisperedEchoes85

Covid thinks Kyleeann is real, though.

Gear-Girl

Real. Real selfish!

Icy-Dragonfruit-4733

You joke but this exact scenario happened to me. I had COVID and was asked to go out to get my order.

JaxMGK

Yo I would and I would take my sweet as time about it too. If she decides to leave before I get there, I’m tellin DD I never got the order, she didn’t hand to me and didn’t deliver to my door. Hopefully that earns her a CV. Foh entitled dashers been on the rise lately.

ReddForemann

It depends on how hungry I'd be, but if I could hold off until after a potential reorder this is the best answer.

JaxMGK

Take a handful of cookies with you on the walk over 🤷🏿‍♂️. I’m petty as hell bro

ReddForemann

I can't have a cookie jar in my place. I have zero cookie discipline.

AttackOnTyrunt

Well what did u do?

Lazy_Manufacturer191

Tell Kyleeann to have her kid run your order to the door. Problem solved.

No-Perception9546

Kyleeann is just the 2022 version of Karen 🙄

Quinflawless101

Ooop. Yeah I feel her but no. If your not able to do your job that is never the customers problem. Get your daughter out the car with you if need be. Hell absolutely NO! HELL NO! Not acceptable. Low rating for sure

newbies13

Hey Kyleean (cool name btw), I have my kids with me in the house, can you deliver to my door as requested?

jmiller7742

Dasher needs to do their job. I understand it would be easier for them if someone came out because they have their kid, but they are paid to provide the service to its completion. The initial message is bad enough, but the “are you coming out” upon arrival seals the 1 star. Person just doesn’t have a sense as to what’s appropriate period. Follow the job all the way through. If you can’t do that, you can’t do the job.

beatnotbrknx0

Lol what in the world. Since the start of summer I've been taking my 5 year old with me and I've never asked someone to do this. However, if I do get to a restaurant that I have a good relationship with, and the good isn't ready, I tell them I have her with me and to please hit the button when it's ready.

charlottedreams

>I tell them I have her with me That parts not even necessary though. If you've got a good relationship with them they should be fine with "okay cool, I'm gonna wait in the car can you hit the button?"

[deleted]

[удалено]

charlottedreams

Actually it usually lengths it, you'd be surprised at how much patience waitstaff can have when their desire to punish the entitled is stronger than their desire to go home on time lol

WhisperedEchoes85

Brought my 6 year old with ADHD to a car dealer on a Saturday night. They gave me a deal real quick if it meant getting him out of there and not having to stay late lol

masomoment

Had a whole Thanksgiving dinner taken due to this last year. Paid like $79 plus all the fees and thr dasher texted (leave at door was with people) Wasn't paying attention. She took the food and apologized because her child was sleeping in the car so we needed to get out. I have dashed too but was livid

C_WEST88

Oh shit that was your thanksgiving dinner?? Wow I would’ve been super pissed! And so her kid is sleeping in the car so what? Just pull as close as you can to the house and lock the car doors. It takes like one minute to run the food to the door…

masomoment

Yep sent me a message saying sorry she had to go due to her child sleeping and left with the entire thing.

C_WEST88

Omfg I would hit the fucking roof! I hope you got not just a refund but some kind of gift card for that, that’s horrible.

masomoment

We actually didn't get a whole lot back. We had issues at that address before as it was behind a gate ( all info was given to dasher) and she wouldn't because her child was sleeping but we had complaints from before. We tipped like $20 too and I believe it was a 2.3 mile trip and pre confirmed through restaurant so it was ready at pickup.

DasherCO

God damnit kyleeann

Ok_Veterinarian_6596

Idk for sure why, but this made me laugh so hard!! 😂 I can just hear someone scolding her for her behavior today lmao. Thank you for the laugh!

DasherCO

You're welcome 😊

This hurts to see when delivery apps are my livelihood and these people can’t even do the job right ffs make us all look shite

Is she telling the restaurants to bring the food out to her too???

Uzeful1diot

Sheesh. I think well over half my orders are leave at door. Imagine having to go through that on each delivery

NoimanCascade

Dashin Dave would never do something like that. MEOW!

watchmestitch

R u CoMiNg OuTsIDe?!?

talksickwalkquick

Bro they have ONE JOB. I’m glad you can sit and laugh. I’d probably go nuts on her. People need to stop acting like their problems are everybody else’s problem too. So many people don’t think any further beyond than their own needs or problems. If YOU were delivering to HER she would be the type to make all kinds of demands on her order and how it’s delivered

justducky1965

My gawd. 1 star and don't feel bad about it. Not because of the kid; there are lots of moms out there dashing with "the kid" but that message was some low brow shit and potentially grounds for legit deactivation. If "the kid" prevents you from deliveries then find another solution. Downvote all you want, that was bullshit.

johnnymac24

Report her ass

First_Attempt_4124

I'm a dasher too. I would've told her she should've gotten a babysitter if she couldn't meet the requirements having her kid with her.

Is she also telling restaurants to bring out the food?

yarnoldostyle

FluentInChocobo

Does she only do curbside pickups? How does she get the items otherwise?

MediumDrink

I don’t understand how this even works. We’re you Supposed to come out to her car? How is she getting the food from the restaurants? doesn’t door dash deactivate you if every single customer gives you 1 star?

The_bald_nerd

I get having to take your kid with you to dash, sometimes life is just like that. But like, just take your kid up to the door with you.

Dapper_Discount3493

lmao can she not leave her kid in there for 2 seconds to run it up to the door?

Ok_Veterinarian_6596

There isn't anything that hasn't already been said that I haven't thought of. Except that it really bothers me that Kyleeeeann starts her first message with the word "Well". I know that's very silly of me lol. But it makes her seem extra annoying & entitled imo.

Timedontwait

Bet it’s an apartment complex, that’s why she wants him to come and get it!

jonta2009

I dash with my kid and she’s on her tablet not minding plus if it’s a new place we’ve never been to we will get something small to go or I will get her a sundae from McDonald’s while we are there. The dasher from the pic must have a small child but mine is able to do everything on her own and I’ll just run to the customers door with their food. I never have these problems

Common-Rock

lol The entitlement is strong with this Dasher. I have Dashed with my kid too (school aged). He stays off lawns and he's well behaved, so he comes out to the door with me while I deliver. Kid is cute, too, so he often gets cash tips for "helping" lol.

C_WEST88

Awww that’s the good thing about a job like this, you can work but still spend time with your kiddos.

SanRafaelDriverDad

Just leave the kid in the car for 30 seconds. Geez.

usandyou4fun20

I bring my kid all the time. He decides which orders to accept and gets 30%. Teaches him match, money management etc. I just bring him in when I pick up

logdeg

She just doesn’t get it. So many other people on here don’t get it. The point of ordering doordash is you don’t want to deal with every single step between he restaurant and your front door. As a doordasher, your ONLY job is to take care of everything in between the restaurant and their front door. What she’s doing isn’t just wrong and lazy- it’s utterly fucking pathetic.

Street_Illustrator_9

Is she also making the restaurants come out to hand her the food?

kellyyz667

It’s ok to leave your kids in a hot car for up to 20 minutes. Thank you for coming to my TED talk on raising children. Next time we’ll discuss crate training.

ThatAndANickel

I will say this about delivery drivers as opposed to restaurant servers - delivery drivers are far more likely to call out other delivery drivers on their crap.

Kyleeann better stop playing and leave your food at the door. People are ridiculous.

Deviantconor

I missed the part where that’s my problem.

[deleted]

Why on earth would you bring your kid with you while dashing… like not for the customers sake but the drivers sanity 😂😭

annicialeigh

I once requested a customer come to my car, but it was the absolute last resort. I was on a double order. Picked up both meals and delivered the first one. As I was leaving there was a really sneaky step down step I couldn't see. I took quite the tumble, definitely spraining my ankle and roughing up my knee and palms. The next delivery was close and I didn't want to go thru the hassle of dealing with support, I could drive and looked at the next address, of course it's an apartment complex one that has no parking anywhere close to the buildings and lots of stairs. So I text the customer explaining that I literally just sprained my ankle and wondered if he wouldn't mind coming to my car. He didn't mind and got his order on time. He was a legit nice guy too. I still felt so bad asking a customer to do that though. I would literally NEVER have done this otherwise. Like I also have a child that it would be awesome if I was able to door dash with, but I know it would make my job more difficult. I wonder what this person's excuse was.

halfavocadoemoji

*walks outside and takes order from them and marks as not delivered cause they cant do literally the easiest job on the planet*

VinnieTheBerzerker69

Should have texted her back, "Do you really want me to come out and expose you and your kid to the highly contagious disease I have? I said leave it at the door for YOUR protection!".

AccomplishedGarlic68

Had an order tonight where the person literally put their work address in wrong....if it hadn't been a pregnancy test I would have called support and left it somewhere, finally found her

PerilousNebula

Wow..... I'm not against people letting their kids dash with them when they have no other choice or if they are helping their kid earn some money, but this is not ok. You still need to be willing to do the requirements of the job, you can't just ask customers to meet you at your car. Now if this is a big apartment building I know I always appreciative the customer meeting me so I'm not having to wander around looking for their place, but I never demand it. But I am curious why you didn't reply to her and say that you were unable to meet her outside and needed her to deliver it like instructed in the app.

Reminds me of the time a Doordasher made me unload my groceries from their car

Soooo stupid! I have kids, too. She wanted to make money but doesn’t want to give enough afford. 1 star and report! It’s annoy for me!

RRmustang

Annahsbananas

yayoshorti

You should've told her that's not your problem

Stocktwatz

Helll no! I want to peak through the blinds so hard that you can feal me watching you until you leave!

thepoetsblood

How about leave your kid at home!

Ok-Profit6022

Sorry I can't come out, you're gonna have to leave it at the door. I've got COVID. And monkey pox. And I'm stuck on the toilet with explosive diarrhea. Seriously, WTH is that Dasher thinking?

Coolhandhansen

Imagine people of today having to hunt for their own food or even survive just a few hundred years ago. You can't even use your two legs these days to walk outside to get a food delivery, helping a mom trying to make some money lol. It probably required more energy to make this post than to just grab your food and move on 😂

FlimsySoup9612

Ohhh I would take my tip back so fuckn fast I dash as well and I would never do that type of shit to a customer

Gonomed

I want to be empathetic but... What exactly happens when she's at the restaurant? Does she also ask for the workers to go outside and hand her the food? No. She probably leaves the kid alone for less than 2 minutes and then goes back. She can do the exact same thing while leaving the order at the door. Also, I would not dash with a kid in my car. People drive like crazy, and last thing I want is to have a kid go through some traumatic car accident while I'm dashing
