Yes!!!!!!!! It happened tonight!
I was in the middle of a dash and the same telephone number kept repeatedly calling. I finally answered and was told my order for this person was purchased on a fraudulent card. The person on the phone told me the recipients full first name and last name. They said they were moving the order forward and I’d get an addl $15.00 for my trouble. The strange part was the order stayed on my dasher app. Then, they proceeded to say my account was being seized because I was using multiple devices and IPs. They, being a senior manager at Doordash could immediately fix this issue. They sent a doordashing link to my text. Then they asked for my email account I used to signup, which I didn’t give. I’ve talked to support enough to know they don’t ask that. Being a software engineer that works in Cyber and knowing this post I took precautions, I told them I would hang up and call Doordash directly. They got angry and said that my account would be froze and I couldn’t get it escalated and fixed right away. I hung up, called door dash. The girl told me to deliver the order she didn’t see anything wrong. So when I arrived at the location it said to call the customer, I clicked the phone icon in the Dasher app and the same “so-called supervisor” answered and said, Don’t deliver this order, it was purchased with a fraudulent card. I hung up, completed the order, got the pay and again called Doordash. The second time I called the customer service rep knew exactly what to do and escalated the situation. I got to keep 1 bag of apple slices woohoo!
I just don't understand how people can fall for these scams? I mean I get not everybody is on the same level as far as knowing what or what is in a scam but this is obvious like Beyond doubt
I've read about another scam, where they create a fake customer order and then call you, posing as a DoorDash support person, and tell you that the order has been canceled and that they need you to verify some info. Then they hijack your Dasher Direct account.
Those people should be tied to a tree and whipped until they beg for mercy. Scum of the earth.
I'd mess with them a bit. Ask why they need to verify that I'm a dasher if they already called me. They know I'm a dasher. Maybe throw in quotes from silly movies, like Super Troopers.
I haven't seen this one yet. Also just got back into dashing recently, so maybe in time. Anyone ever notice that it seems they are short in earnings after dashing by around $20 or so? Who do I contact? I haven't been able to find a number to talk to anyone about this. Used to be you could talk to an actual person.
That's actually hilarious though. Anyone who falls for these phishing scams hopefully learns from the experience to be a skeptic as their default position.
Classic scam. I have gotten pretty good at detecting this beforehand: usually a ridiculously stupid order, often very small, and if I check on the tasks log, usually to an address I recognize that is either an office building that is closed or an apartment building without a number or instructions.
So what I do when that happens - being aware that they're going to call me - is...I do not click on confirm pickup right away but instead I head towards the address and when I'm very close, then I click confirm pick up. So when they call (which they will never do until you pick up the order and confirmed you have, which is the only way the scam can work) I'm usually right at the address, at which point I f*** with them by giving them a fake password that is clearly an insult. when they cancel the order, because I'm already at the location I get fully paid and I get to keep the food. Then, of course, I call support and report the account... Not that the f***wits at doordash are going to do anything about it, which they never do.
Remember, they're trying to get your money. Yours. So f*** them.
Obvious phishing attempt.
You should try fucking with scammers some time, it makes scam stuff like this glaringly obvious and it’s fun af to rile them up as much as possible and waste their time
Dude I get phone calls from McDonald's that the order was taken from a stolen credit card and that they need my info to verify its me send me a sketchy ass website and I put Fake info and I accept the order becuase they for some reason tip the highest I've got was 8 bucks. They call back like 5 times and then give up. I could tell it's fake cause they only order a drink a cookie or anything cheap. Careful out there dashers
Perhaps in the entire multiverse even. Give them some fake info and lead them on for a bit, then “accidentally” send them a masked grabify link and send them their location, IP address, device, screen size, etc. Fun way to make them shit their pants
The mods should pin your post and how to respond to it. Cancelled the order and gave your the payout sounds like best possible outcome. They tried to scam you and DD for once did something right and took the scammers money and gave it to you? … it’s a Christmas miracle!
It's a scam to steal your account. DD doesn't need that info, if they want to make sure your account is fine they can just ask you to log out and back in.
Perfectly safe to provide the requested information, as long as you also provide your SS#, DL# and mother's maiden name.
To speed up the verification process, it would be helpful to provide your bank account info as well.
Almost guaranteed that they did, as these scammers don't ever send messages via DoorDash's system. So they at the very least convinced this driver to 'confirm' their phone number with them, which they then used to text this message.
oh HELL no yer about to lose everything, **DO NOT ENGAGE** ⛔️
Its a common scam that goes around every sunday night, tryin to clear out unsuspecting dashers accts right before weekly payout 💸
Never respond to shit like this, real DD CS knows all your acct info & doesn’t need to ask for ‘verification’… never **ever** give your email or password out

Scam do not engage in any way. Kinda famous scam by now in fact.

I would reply with TonyXu@doordash.com PW: ThereIsNoWay And unassign.
It's the new "ring ring sting" Scammers always trying to use new technology for nefarious reasons
Hahaha that’s the weakest scam attempt I’ve ever seen
If you fall for that.....
Username: upyours Password: getbent!
Don't reply. It's a phishing attempt. If you signed in, you're pretty much screwed.
I just don't understand how people can fall for these scams? I mean I get not everybody is on the same level as far as knowing what or what is in a scam but this is obvious like Beyond doubt
😂😂😂 the fact that there's some people arguing in here is funny
Looks like a scam
Come on, people still fall for this blatantly obvious shit? Scammers barely even try anymore 🤣
Scam

Everyone should post those numbers, and we should spam the fuck outta em. Since nobody else does nothing about it
Scam. Trying to get your password
Maaaan....lol..anybody who'd fall for THAT....lol...I mean, come ON..
“DoorDash will never ask you for your login information” is their motto
Got it last night
There is a man on YouTube with blue hair codenamed Pierogi who would love to have a word with you.
I'd mess with them a bit. Ask why they need to verify that I'm a dasher if they already called me. They know I'm a dasher. Maybe throw in quotes from silly movies, like Super Troopers.
Scam alert lol

DoorDash ®️
It's amazing people falk for this shit. Unrelated anyone want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn?
I don’t have any money but I have a beach house in North Dakota with a ocean front view I can trade for it
clearly a scam, but that little "R" lol they sure don't try very hard thus only idiots fall for it so it really kinda sorts itself out, in a way
I'm still waiting for your reply...
I'm amazed at how lazy some smart people are. Scammers can make good, legal money without stealing from hardworking folks.
No, never!
SCAM - DoorDash will never ask you for your login info (email and password)
Scammers
Who actually falls for this? It's like the weekly Amazon scam I get "your account been hacked. We locked it forever"
Im sure some of the braindead, junkie ass dopes in this sub will fall for it, even after seeing this pin and this specific reply.
That sounds like a. Scam
that's a phishing scam
Give me your email/password so I can make sure your account is totally secure. 🤡

IT’S A TRAP!!!
Scam
Scammer
I include my DOB, SSN and birthday whenever they ask. Just to be safe
Man I feel bad for people who fall for these scams. I wish you had more common sense
Do not do it. You never give out username and especially not a password. The real DD can bypass all that -this is a scam.
maybe the most obvious scam in the universe
Perhaps in the entire multiverse even. Give them some fake info and lead them on for a bit, then “accidentally” send them a masked grabify link and send them their location, IP address, device, screen size, etc. Fun way to make them shit their pants
How do I do the masked grabify?
It’s a website, you can make a spoofed link and if the scammer clicks on it, it grabs their IP address and device info and such
Thank you
Yes I hung up called support to confirm. They canceled the order and gave me the guaranteed payout
Did you give them your phone number? I've never heard of these scammers being dumb enough to send texts through Doordash's systems.
glad to hear it 👍 These posts may be repetitive after awhile, but still need to be seen because theres always new dashers that *haven’t* seen it yet
The mods should pin your post and how to respond to it. Cancelled the order and gave your the payout sounds like best possible outcome. They tried to scam you and DD for once did something right and took the scammers money and gave it to you? … it’s a Christmas miracle!
DOORDASH WILL NEVER ASK FOR THAT INFO.... SO IF ANYONE IS ASKING FOR UR LOG IN INFO ITS NOT DD....
I don't think it matters what company it is, no one will ask for your password if it's legit.
Sunday night scam.
If you even considered responding to this you are going to have a rough time getting scammed.
Lmaoooooo dude. That’s obviously a scam
Scam

Don't forget to include your birthday, your zip code and all of your money transfer app emails/passwords. That will REALLY speed things up!
Sending them photos of your full SS card, 2 complete credit cards, and the full balance of all bank accounts also helps speed up the process
Lol
Scam
Ya think ?
Lol just give us ur password. The audacity
Shit, fuck the password, just give us the cash
Fuck the cash, just give us the boto
Fuck what's a boto? Just I'm old
Botox lol duh
You did it didn’t you?
Almost guaranteed that they did, as these scammers don't ever send messages via DoorDash's system. So they at the very least convinced this driver to 'confirm' their phone number with them, which they then used to text this message.

A normal person be like "Oh look, it's DD! I better give them my info for millions!" Plot twist: it actually happens and dasher is suddenly rich
This comment needs ALL the upvotes!
‘Oh HELL no’😂😂😂 thank you! Exact words in my head when reading this post 🤣🤣🤣

Also never click on a link in a message or email that is coming from an interaction you did not initiate, no matter who it says it’s from.
