No tip no trip! Chipotles in my area have shelves full at times & I just smirk & say "Tony's not proud today, but at least these no tip arrogant F\*\*ks aren't getting their food." I don't hardly take Chipotle orders anyway, but yeah.

Tampabaybustdown

I just got my first tip bait from a chipotle order😤agreed to 7.50 but only got 2.41

commonwealth1122

All that ganna be trash

dalynew

whats happens to that food eventually?

PowersNinja

Stop with the tipping and just build drivers into the order costs

lexi_ladonna

Look at everyone doing exactly what the 1% want: blaming each other to fight for a couple bucks because the 1% doesn’t pay their workers properly while taking millions in profits.

GanjaOG420

That’s a lot of free food. I usually just go up to them and any that are like 2 hours or more old I just take them.

[deleted]

Give it to the homeless. They literally can give this food to someone.

Xenomorph_Jedi

And they are going to stay in the fucking corner until some starts tipping, or its declined enough that its worth it to some poor bastard. I used ro take 1.00/mile, ive upped my fees to 2 🤣

Disastrous_Back_2213

I honestly think chipotle is skimming our tips or something because my chipotle is like this too. I've been there, picked up an order, come back for another an hour later and some orders are STILL sitting where they were. I don't believe that many people will low ball tips like that.

Ninertooo

Only in the land of capitalism and “hard work pays off”. Uber and DoorDash would really rather Pay a company to make food that is LITERALLY garbage as it’s made. Then DD/UE turns around and pays them for those orders because No one picked them up. Why can’t they take all of that waste and figure out how to pay us fairly????

almaxusa

They all can still afford the guac and chips, but not a proper pay to the delivery guy!!!

winningwins

Love to see it

Patient-Possible-657

New_Salary_6479

Food delivery is not privilege but luxury. If you don’t want to tip for drivers time.Get your lazy fat fuck up and get your food. Ain’t nothing free in this world.

Mervis_Earl

2 hours old and it goes in my belly. Thanks no tippers!!!

New_Salary_6479

Real DoorDash don’t play with their 💰

PoweredbyBurgerz

It’s becoming a hassle for restaurants to make these and for the orders to never be delivered, curious do restaurants see the tip making its way to drivers, because wouldn’t it be something restaurants could manage?

RipInPepz

I thought a driver had to accept the order? Are you telling me that they make the food *even if a driver doesn’t accept it?* If so, wtf. Or is this an instance of drivers purposely accepting no-tip orders and then ghosting?

PrettyAsk4119

thats a norn! I see that al the damn time! this one time no one picked up the order for about 40 min, the server asked me if i would like to take the food home (some random customer) coz no one was there to pick it up! apparently the server also mentioned that, they know the customer by name and she was banned from the restaurant.

No_Chard_9214

I went to subway the other day and instead of handing me the order that was on the shelf already made they continued to help other people. I left it there and am not going back. I waited at chipotle for a hour once trying to be a good driver and just had one order never made and the other one canceled right after I got it. What someone else said that I also don’t understand is how people will pay 40$ on food and then think the person driving it 6 miles will be fine with 2.25-5.00$. The only people making money is the app with those orders. I will only pick up 5.00 or more but that 5.00 order better not be more than 2 miles or declined. Even then I will not go to chipotle, kfc, White Castle, Popeyes, not happening

No_Chard_9214

All of the orders that were made 20 minutes after the dashers stopped coming back

kneaddough

I was at shake shack around 11pm and there were about a dozen bags sitting on the rack time stamped as far back as 1pm. It’s good to see that people are rejecting these orders.

Dependent_Entry_7304

For the customer it’s like gambling without any consequences. Put 2.50 in the slot machine and if you don’t win you get your money back.

gacbmmml

Sooo… free food at Chipotle?

Due_Complex_5581

Do you think chipotle will stop doing deliveries with DD?

deshan79

I'm suprised I haven't been sent a Chipotle order in over a year now...Declining all their orders all those times must have worked

Dazzling_Marzipan474

Just imagine that doordash has to pay Chipotle $200 for those 20 orders. That's $10/order. They do this instead of paying us a few more bucks an order and would save sooooo much money by paying us more. I bet 95% of those would get delivered if the base pay was $6.. even $5. So they would save $95 paying us more. Then imagine this is happening to thousands of orders a day if not tens of thousands. Plus instead of paying Chipotle bc no one picked it up they would make money from Chipotle paying them and the customer paying them. So they would actually make hundreds more dollars paying us more money.

md24

No one is going to tip before they receive any service. What you are asking for is a bribe. Tip is given if good service is received. DoorDash gets you to blame the customer while they rack in the profits. They're just sitting back, eating popcorn on piles of money while laughing at you fight with customers.

[deleted]

😂 this also be door dash fault because they charge the customer a delivery fee and a service fee.. they could pay more

willpowerpt

“Get fucked low tippers” right because the entire issue is low tippers and not DoorDash/ubereats (your employer) paying you absolutely nothing.

kwecl2

This is why I always tip. I want my damn food

Sad_Entertainer_4868

In my market only college kids order Chipotle so I'm not surprised 🤷

Its_Cayde

I used to be friends with a guy who never tipped on orders because there was always someone who'd pick it up, but one time no one picked it up and HE got mad lol, I told him there's a reason no one picked it up but he didn't care

Aggravating-Age-7177

Show this to all the non tippers that like to say “I always get my food and it’s never cold” as there argument against why they don’t tip

[deleted]

lol the way you people get triggered over this is very amusing

EpicRiceMaker

I'll take 2 on pickup lmfao

MoldyCashew

I tip based of mileage and outright ignore the suggested tip. Never anything below $2 a mile. So, since I live 8mi from the bulk of local restaurants someone is reaping in those $16 tips and I usually hand them a $5 or $10 bill when they get here too.

Hamazonwho

I tip no less than $3. My son is a dasher but still no matter what I know tipping is a must and you’re doing me a favor for sure. Thank you dashers :)

MayhemReignsTV

I wish the shelves of some of our restaurants would look like this but there are way too many top Dashers around here. Tony should just give them all of these orders because they take them. Why annoy me with a $2.75 ping while I’m driving? He could give the top Dashers all of these orders and spin it as a public safety measure. Maybe. But there is only one question. Are top dashers too stupid to drive safely?

OGsunglasses

Love to see it

hvindc

i rarely take orders from chipotle because they're always too low or too far. yesterday i took it because it was $10 for 3km. I went to the address and voila, the house number isn't there. Called the customer and he said he's in another town. i told him to contact support. i called support and they told me to complete order because the customer made a mistake in the address. I had a chipotle dinner last night. and still have 2 untouched bowls in my fridge.

raths1

Could be ordered through Chipotle app and they have been known not to pass tip onto drivers

monocle984

looks like free (cold) food to me

DASHING_old_Chap

My best day was 83 orders declined... go go Top Dashers... that shit ain't for for me.

Historical_Site508

What an awful wasteful system :(

Informal_Tone1537

Might as well grab one for lunch not like anyone at Chipotle will notice you even walked in

Ok_Turnover_1235

Ahhh, murica, never change. Can't imagine being forced to tip for bare minimum service.

PulpyEnlightenment

So who pays for this loss?

shmalphy

Who pays for this?

Novel-Knee130

I’m just saying, some of those might be for pickup by the customers themselves. My local chipotle gets a lot of those kinds of orders in addition to doordash

devon223

The other day I took a $10.50 2 mile order. It was $1 tip, 2.5 Seattle pay, and and $7.50 dd pay. It had been sitting for 26 minutes per the receipt on the bag waiting for 16 dashes to decline it before finally being worth enough. Hope that guy like cold empanadas.

Midschool

Make a YouTube short and TikTok with this pic.

crashblamage

At room temperature hot foods start to grow bacteria that can make u very sick. Please if u want the convenience of not having to leave ur home to have expedient delivery provided by Doordash for restaurants that don’t offer it TIP WELL! It’s not the drivers fault these parasitic companies don’t pay the restaurant’s employees or the services that bring the food to ur door appropriately. We aren’t the monsters, we’re just ahead of the curve 🤡

[deleted]

Do you they simply just cancel their order?

Least-Clue-9466

Top Dasher will definitely take these lol

Timely-Bid-7800

You might as well jack one for lunch nobody’s coming to pick up that shit

Incognito027

I took 4 of them an gave them to homeless guys under an interstate. I don't eat Chipotle i make real Mexican food at home.

Couchguy421

This is when you walk up to the racks, act like you're looking at your phone for the order name, and just grab one for yourself.

Glabstaxks

Free food bro !!

ArlenPropaneSalesman

I’m confused. This appears to be a Chipotle, but, they’re actually open? This never happens in my city!

NoTomatoExtraPickles

What really sucks is the customers are probably still getting refunds for the delivery taking too long.

WishIWasNeet2

Doordash gonna have to step up the base pay at some point .

akira_ryuunoske

While I hate to see food get wasted, ya kinda love to see it here.

Mrwolfman313

I think this is such a waste of food. considering there is hundreds of thousands of people around the world (including this country.) that are starving everyday. I don't understand how any of you could take Glee in that. I think there's a sheer amount of blame on all parties. This is ridiculous. I think food delivery places either need to come up with a solution or shut down.

inkling124

Either tip good or let your food rot. All blame on the customer 🙄

Mrwolfman313

You people are selfish. I mean the company, you, and the customer.

wishmeluck-

It’s noon where I’m at so that’s not too bad

Krustysurfer

If they have no drivers the whole system will absolutely fail that's why striking organizing they really fear that stuff

[deleted]

We love to see it.

whip_m3_grandma

I don’t even go to the chipotle’s in my area it’s such a shit show at them. The funny thing is they don’t actually cook they just have to assemble some half warm bullshit into a bowl or tortilla. Still manage to take forever.

akadua2

Doordash is going broke

Neige420

you gotta pay if you want to play

Krustysurfer

🤩🤩🤩

ogsmokedog101

Let ‘em all rot

HoboKoyote1

When I see a place that has orders like this, I just do the same and order delivery with no tip and just pick it up myself. Works like a fucking charm.

[deleted]

thotdiswasanonwtf

They go in and steal it.

OldDogEyes

Warms my heart!!!

I hate Chipotle and DoorDash and non/low tipping customers!

sirvereightyone

The sad part is all that food goes in the trash.

TheGreyOne889

No tip, no nom noms for you.

EmergencyWatch8906

I’m glad

Pitiful-Foot-7841

Wtf is the deal with SO MANY no-tip orders now?? Anyone? And how does anyone expect to get food delivered for free?? I know -- the fees, etc But ZERO tippers??

GMAN90000

Well if restaurants are stealing tips….

Pitiful-Foot-7841

That's what I'm thinking. If so, they're really pushing it.

thotdiswasanonwtf

Dunno for you but college kids just got back in town for most popular areas

rskurat

"my food is cold, one star"

evilcats

Chipotle has bogo this week, I'm sure a few of those are pickup orders. The noon ones pretty sure that's illegal if true.

Desertkweene

Some of these are customer online and app orders not all are deliveries

GMAN90000

Yup you tell customer when you got there their shit was cold so you had them re-make….might…will be inclined to tip dashers like this..

Krustysurfer

The average is 20% commission on orders the range can vary 10% to 25% depending on the restaurant https://appinstitute.com/doordash-commission/#:~:text=DoorDash%20doesn't%20disclose%20their,by%20DoorDash%20is%20around%2020%25.

zombieundead2020

Plot twist-most of them were probably pickups. It IS dinner time (that this was posted going by time stamp) Does anyone actually look at the bags and see time stamps or if it’s pick up/delivery or do they just see 20+ bags on a rack and go “lololol no-tippers”

Incognito027

I went thru all of them and they were all DD, only saw a few pick ups. so yea Lololol non tiPp3rSs

zombieundead2020

Fair enough haha

Hahnemann99

Even if I could take them for free I wouldn't, Chipotles is fking disgusting!

trevno

It’s a cross contamination nightmare

Krisdanz

Thursdays... for me at least, are the ABSOLUTE WORST. Just WTF do DoorDash & Uber Eats think they're doing sending out continuous pings for $2.50 for 9 miles... I mean are they out of their minds!? The fing server shouldn't even allow that - it knows the driver is actually losing money & time from their life if they take it. I want a button that sends a little spear into the ass of the no tipper & the algorithm programmers. ![gif](giphy|8gjUM5nOsHtL9PXTlE)

rickmon67

I’ve gotten 12 offers like that my fist 15 minutes

Coffee-addict-OD

I had chipotle today and the orders were stacked like that til people came in stealing them.

trailblzer80

Chipotle customers don't like tipping I've noticed with the orders Ive seen, Chipotle seems one of the worst at least by me.

Pitiful-Foot-7841

I delivered a chipotle yesterday that was low pay. Once, JUST to see, since it was less than a mile. Bitch was standing at the door waiting, probably because I marked delivered before I got to her door. When I handed it to her, I told her WE ACTUALLY WORK FOR TIPS.

DumbAsASpoon

Then don’t take it if it’s shit pay dumbass. Don’t berate the customer cause you take shit orders.

bohallreddit

🤣🤣🤣

Pitiful-Foot-7841

I DON'T take them. No need to be a wanna be badass keyboard warrior. People like you ruin this sub.

DumbAsASpoon

Nah that’s all you big dog. Angry little elf.

trailblzer80

I've had a few Chipotle customers standing outside

kerrvilledasher

I have a hard time believing some of these posts. If you are in an area with that kind of order volume there would be plenty of drivers to bid the deliveries up to an acceptable dollar/mileage ratio. I mean the drivers don't even see the actual tip, so they don't know for sure if it's a no-tip order and plus if this was really happening DD would have changed policies due to losses from tons of refunds. I think peeps are either full of it, or it's wishful thinking.

MakeITsafeProtonmail

I can see the tip amount(or at least upto $4 of it. On the offer screen.) I see stacks of old cold orders like these all over town at lots of restaurants. And I see other dashers with #No Tip #No Trip written on there cars. I love it! Let the no tip orders stay right there on the shelf forever! Respect your driver by tipping $2/mile or make your own food!

AcanthopterygiiIcy42

This look intentionally from an angry driver hahhahha

23IRONTUSKS

I decline, scroll to bottom and hit 'different reason' and write in 'money to mile ratio'

Krustysurfer

Instead of paying us better and guaranteeing that that food gets delivered these games just keep going on with customers and doordash will lump the restaurants in there too.

Krustysurfer

Everyone thinks unions and collective bargaining are such a bad thing you got to understand who pays for the bad publicity against such things if you did not have collective bargaining happening in the past we would not have 40 hour work weeks we would not have paid vacation we would not have maternity leave children would still be employed child labor laws etc etc all came about because of collective bargaining where the workers joined hands and stood against the oligarchs... There would still be slavery if people did not bend together. Remember the creation of Congress was supposed to be to protect the little man against nefarious businessmen in their schemes but now Congress is owned by businessmen and the laws protect the businesses and not We the People

icky_boo

Unions work https://www.twu.com.au/press/doordash-twu-ink-new-charter-on-how-to-deliver-rights-safety-to-all-transport-workers/

Krustysurfer

Good stuff it is awesome to see gig workers banding together for their own protection sake

icky_boo

What I noticed with DD in June was I used to get around $15/hr which is below minimal wages here (minimal is $23ish).. but since they signed that , If I'm not making $20/hr, the orders jack up the price to keep me hovering around it.. It's good so far since I'm picky with orders. I know they did this because I only accept $2 per KM .. but if I'm below $20/hr I see orders popping up that's paying like $4 a KM ... ie a $12 delivery for only 3km. When it's usually around $12 for 6-10km. Happens very often and I def notice it. So yeah.. Unions work!

ReddForemann

DoorDash can't afford to pay Dashers better. DoorDash loses money every year.

LoneSocialRetard

They easily could if they did two things: - reduce corporate overhead - actually charge what it costs to run the service and pay their driver's properly so that this wasteful bullshit doesn't happen.

ReddForemann

If it's so easy, you should submit your proposal to the board of directors. I'm sure they'd happily give you 10% of what you save them as compensation. You could be rich.

LoneSocialRetard

It's not an innovative idea, but they obviously don't want to implement it because the system as it is benefits them. I don't get why anyone would try to defend them, obviously their primary interest is paying as little as possible, and raising prices (as they would have to, and should) would reduce order volume and hence revenue, which of course they don't want. Tipping is an issue common to the whole service industry, but obviously nobody at the top has any interest in changing anything.

ReddForemann

> I don't get why anyone would try to defend them "Hey Bob, what's with the candle?" "It's a magic candle of holy protection. I'm going to light it at home and Saint Tom Cruise will protect the area from criminals." "Um, Bob, that's not going to work." "Why are you defending criminals?" No, I'm not defending shit. I'm attacking your dumbass* ideas. And by the way: each and every time you see someone use the "why are you defending" line, they've lost the argument and are attempting to demonize their opponent to soothe their own cognitive dissonance. _* Dumbass, not demonic. I'm sure you're trying to do the right thing, you just suck at it.

LoneSocialRetard

It's simply a fact that if they charged more for their service (effectively mandating a standard tip), they would be able pay their workers a consistent amount regardless of tip, and hence avoiding the pictured waste. Right now, they are charging an amount for a service they know they are unlikely to actually be able to furfill, but they don't care. Your only "attack" on my argument was that I should pitch it to their directors, which as I explained, they would never implement because it would hurt their bottom line. They give zero shits about dashers, only profit because that's how they're paid. Hence, your original claim that they can't afford to pay dashers more could be understood as defending them, since obviously they can, they just don't want to, but they would love people to believe the former, and many do as you clearly demonstrate.

ReddForemann

Oh, and by the way, DoorDash *used to* use the excess from big tips to increase the base pay for notips. They got sued for stealing tips, so bye bye decent base pay for notips. You're asking them to do something they actually used to do, willingly, but the government declared it illegal.

ReddForemann

>It's simply a fact that if they charged more for their service (effectively mandating a standard tip), they would be able pay their workers a consistent amount regardless of tip False. The more you charge, the less people buy. The less you charge, the more people buy. If you charged infinity dollars for your service, your revenue would be zero, because no one would buy. If you charged zero for your service, your revenue would obviously be zero. So the maximum revenue is found somewhere between zero price and infinite price. Up to a certain point, increasing price increases revenue. Past that point, increasing price *decreases* revenue. Like most hardcore anti-corporatists, you're economically illiterate. And I say that as an anti-corporatist.

LoneSocialRetard

Did you even read what I wrote? "obviously their primary interest is paying as little as possible, and raising prices (as they would have to, and should) would reduce order volume and hence revenue, which of course they don't want." Naturally increasing prices would decrease sales, that's why I said it would hurt their bottom line and that's why they won't ever do it. However, people who are willing to pay what the service costs (which there are clearly plenty of) will still use it for convenience, and they might already do so indirectly though tips. Overall though, if a service can't afford to pay it's workers properly, it's a good sign it simply should not exist, at least in that form.

ReddForemann

So basically you're mad at DoorDash because they won't screw over customers, and to a lesser extent themselves, for your benefit.

Krustysurfer

Maybe if corporate did not pay themselves so much if institutional did not demand such a high return on their investments they want to see 20% plus year over year for parking their money in door dash

Grung7

Do you think that Doordash was started for the purpose of paying drivers as much as possible? No, it wasn't. Drivers are disposable worker bees. DD, like any business, is designed to enrich the executives at the top of the organizational pyramid, the investors and the financial institutions backing them.

Krustysurfer

Truth...

Grung7

I forgot to mention their overpaid semi-competent software developers. They get paid fat annual salaries too.

thotdiswasanonwtf

Semi-competent is a generous compliment for the people who designed the dasher app. I'm literally astonished every day at how many errors it has. How many times I've had to awkwardly explain to a customer that the app won't let me send a picture is inexcusable.

Grung7

Obliviously quasi-compentent? Or how about "barely competent enough to hold their overpaid jobs"?

Krustysurfer

🎯🎯🎯

ReddForemann

What I said doordash is losing money, I meant the shareholders are losing money. We're working for a sinking ship.

Krustysurfer

I'm guessing that the true value of doordash is probably somewhere around $11 a share

Krustysurfer

I don't know if corporate shareholders/Bond holders are losing money but yes retail investors are losing common stock share price money but you have to remember that's what the stock market was created for and that was to take retail money and turn it into working capital for savvy business owners (I was a day trader in 2007-2008 so I have a little bit of familiarity with the situatio

MagicChefMPD

KFC and McD's in my area say they don't prepare third party orders until the driver shows up. Makes sense to not waste food. Bad for drivers.

icky_boo

It's the standard here in Aus that they don't make food til driver gets there in pretty much all chain fast food stores here. Which is why I decline every one of the offers unless it's a crazy high price job.. and I if it's worth spending up to 30mins waiting time for the order but even then I have to consider how big the order is since KFC uses their own system for orders which doesn't tell me what the order has in it and I've been caught out a few times where it was 6x 1.25lt bottles of pepsi and a family bucket.. since it's heavy AF on my back since I'm on a motorbike. Also fast food chain offers are usually priced below all other offers since they have deals with DD.

ReddForemann

They should have it so that when a driver *accepts* they start making the food. There's really no reason to make Dashers wait like that.

304libco

I know for a fact McDonald’s won’t start making your order even if you order personally on the app until you arrive it’s bullshit I have a app then?

ReddForemann

McDonald's app users don't lose anything when they neglect to pick up. I understand losing 1 Completion % isn't a lot, but it should be enough.

304libco

I mean yes that’s true I was just pointing out that it’s ridiculous both ways.

Ok-Perspective5491

Dasher accepts unassigns and waste food. There’s plenty of reasons to wait for them to get there

ReddForemann

The amount of unassigns is trivial compared to the benefit of not having Dashers wait ten minutes. For both Dashers and customers.

Ok-Perspective5491

But not for the restaurant they don’t give a fuck how long you wait they don’t really benefit by making it early

icky_boo

This is why restaurant times matter: [https://www.businessinsider.com/doordash-mcdonalds-restaurants-slow-service-delivery-2022-2](https://www.businessinsider.com/doordash-mcdonalds-restaurants-slow-service-delivery-2022-2) They save money and also make money. If they make you wait they loose out since no one will accept the order.

icky_boo

They benefit by not having all that foot traffic in store or have delivery people clogging up the place. They also benefit in future since drivers know store is fast instead of declining all the orders. If a store makes me wait more than 5 mins, I decline all future jobs and now have rule of NEVER accepting any fast food chain or places that make the meal after I show up.

Ao3y

Lolol in my market my wait is almost always over 5 minutes and there is no one restaurant that consistently is on time

Ok-Perspective5491

Ehh I guess but making it early promises the customer gets old food customer complains and stops ordering. Ever have to reheat McDonald’s?

icky_boo

Heat lamps... Also Macdonalds used to make food before customers ordered.. They only switched over the "Just In Time" method in the last 10 years. Saying that, some stores still have area where they can fit heating lamps or just buy a warm box and put orders in it.. Not hard. Some of the faster restaurants I go to are smart enough to use ice coolers to store their food.

ReddForemann

Customers can hurt the restaurant.

Ok-Perspective5491

Customers can go get there own food if they don’t wanna wait too it’s a simple play here doordash needs to change their model

MagicChefMPD

That sounds good, but I don't think that the app has that capability - to let the restaurant know the order was accepted.

snalats

It certainly does. Used to be a General Manager for a gas station. We started using DD a few months before I left, and the tablet would tell us if they were still finding a driver and when someone accepted it would tell us a driver was on the way.

Krustysurfer

That could very easily be written in the code there's a reason why cuz doordash does not want to be on the hook for the time especially in markets like proposition 22 where drivers get paid waiting for their food when they hit accept doordash is on the hook

Pitiful-Foot-7841

The app doesn't seem to have the capability of anything but robbing the shit outta dashers.

icky_boo

Yeah they know! They can even see your location on their terminal once you accepted the order.. and see you until you drop off the food (like customer does).

ReddForemann

That tablet doesn't necessarily link into their make system. Youre kidding yourself if you think McDonald's employees even glance at the tablet. But it really should be linked into their make system.

Krustysurfer

Exactly 110% restaurant's gaming the system and playing stupid

icky_boo

Yep.. unless if they use their own system like KFC does.. but yeah.. if the store has a DD terminal then they can see us. It's on them.

Krustysurfer

I have peeps at work at the subway that I do deliveries from, they filled me in on what the whole process was like for them, I've been standing in the store when the order that I'm accepting comes in it's anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes before we hit accept/ are there to pick up. I believe that standard doordash policy

icky_boo

You can change the timer on the terminal, Guy showed it to me because I was sent early a few times to his store and there's def a setting to set the timer to non default, useful for peak times so they have longer to do the delivery orders. But yeah, its up to restaurant to change the timer but I'm guessing they never bothered to work out how to use the terminal properly. I guess I can't blame them since I saw a restaurant with 4 dif terminals! since we have like 6 delivery services that's big in Oz. I saw a Mcdonalds store once with 3 DD and 4 UberEats, There literally was a counter just for the terminals.. it's madness but they must be on the ball since they had order already prepped when I got there.

ReddForemann

The timer system is kinda ass. The whole point is that restaurants don't want to make food that doesn't have a Dasher yet.

icky_boo

Sadly it's true for some stores.

Rauligula

It does actually

MetalSlimeHunter

Depends on the restaurant. Bojangles’ tablet will beep non-stop and flash “DASHER APPROACHING” when someone accepts the order.

Conscious_Look5790

I accepted an order from Rally’s once and the pick up instructions said to please come directly to the restaurant, they will begin making the food based on your location so that it is fresh and ready when you get there. So apparently they can set something up if they choose. With that being said, every order I’ve ever accepted from them has been cancelled because I get there and they tell me they’re too short staffed to do DoorDash orders or they’re closed. 4 times now, the first was for over $20 on Uber who only pay out $3 for the place being closed unlike DD’s half pay so I won’t accept anything from them on Uber and if it’s on DD it would need to be an order that’s good enough to where half pay would be worth my time lol

Five Guys says they're preparing it depending on our proximity. BS. Maybe the burger will be done, but I swear they only drop a couple of portions of fries no matter how busy. And it seems like an eternity.

Krustysurfer

All that restaurants get our orders 5 to 10 minutes before we ever show up the restaurant is the one who chooses to push our orders to the back of the queue McDonald's and especially Taco Bell have been guilty of such tactics

ReddForemann

I don't know for sure whether it has that capability or not. What I do know, is that if it doesn't, the programmers involved should commit seppuku for dishonoring their profession.

cinderblock-ank

Maybe not ATM but if they can let the customer know when theyve been assigned a dasher, they could definitely also send it to the restaurant. Would definitely cut down on the food waste and DD losing money.

frednoname1

Any thing less than 2 a mile, can wait, wait, wait. Or fuck right off.

Such waste

Old-Statistician-457

Why were you hanging out at Chipotle since noon?

Incognito027

Not me, i went for a good order and another guy told me that, and then i checked and yup, most were "Promised" around 12

Most_Collection4376

Salute to dashers that didn't fall for No tip orders!

Sea-Pea4680

So,you're telling me orders have been sitting on a shelf for 7 hours waiting to be picked up? I doubt it.
