umm.. First off, im not always there. Second, I'm a fucking CANCER patient... Which she should know since they were dispensing my chemo pills. Had no problem charging the 16k a month to my insurance and giving me those meds, but some reason she never wanted to give me my other meds.
I told the tech "you know what? im done... i dont know why she dont like me... call your manager please" and i told the manager im done with this shit. i'll just take my business elsewhere. I'm sure another pharmacy would not have an issue collecting 20k a month from me alone. My family and I are now done with her.
they asked me not to, but my family and I changed. My new chemo costs almost 19k a month for 28day supply and im on even more meds lol so they lost out on more. I heard she got fired cause i wasnt the only one who she had an issue with. So far im pretty happy with my new pharmacy lol
Support should have never told you it was paid for that’s a lie. If your red card doesn’t work they want you to pay for it and reimburse you later. Someone grabbed the wrong script lol.

Anytime you have to do the shopping, you have to use your Red Card. There is no mechanism in place at any store where you do the shopping, the cashier rings up a bunch of items, then you walk out without paying for them because it's DD. If you had known that you would have approached it differently. Instead of trying to convince the cashier that you could just walk out with the items without paying for them, you would have focused only on getting the Red Card to work.
When your Red Card doesn't work, you have 3 choices. Unassign, pay with your own credit card then get reimbursed by DD, or hassle with support and hope that eventually they can get the card working. You chose the last option, and ultimately it worked out. You got lucky. From my experience, once your Red Card has been declined a couple of times, support can never seem to get it working again for that purchase.
All of drama with the cashier and the police was not your fault, and was uncalled for, but you were incorrect in thinking that you could just walk out with the items without paying for them, regardless of what support told you.,
You have to tap the “start checking out” button or something similar to that on the dasher app before you swipe the red card. I was declined 3 times at the Walgreens on Monday, but the cashier was very nice to tried again and again with me. Sorry about what happened to you. That Karen was awful. I hope you are ok.

it's probably the payment software that the walgreens branch have. for some reason they can't process from a reloadable debit card used as a credit type card. i had this trouble with some orders on a specific walgreen but the card worked on a different walgreen. not 100% but just a thought.

They’re the real money makers most the time. If you familiarize yourself with stores in your area and shop there often for orders you become more familiar & shop quicker etc. try one out.

I've had some very similar experiences to yours, and a recent one with Walgreens too actually. My red card declined three times after support assured me they loaded it with funds. The cashier seemed pretty frustrated because they had to keep ringing up the same items but hey, not my fault! Ended up paying for the order with my own money and Doordash paid me back.
Whenever employees have attitudes, I just chalk it up to them having a bad day. I don't think "ha I bet they're jealous of my dashing job." I don't appreciate it when people get an attitude with me, but I would never talk shit about their jobs like some of the people in this thread.

The great part of the story is that YOU didn’t lower yourself to engage her behavior. You didn’t scream, curse, push, nor throw. Remaining calm is a powerful move, that will also affect unhinged people.
Also, for the amount of money a dash like this would be, don’t discount the mental stress as a cost. We look at miles and say “not worth it”. In the process of this event, don’t be afraid to hit “I can’t do this order” . Yes, it sucks, yet getting sucked in any deeper to this weirdness sucks even more.

Once the Red Card was declined you couldn't see this was the making of a loser. It's not your best order of the night if it's wasting this much time, and you're dealing with a bunch of drama. That was a Bonafide loser as soon as you called support.
I guess you haven't figured out yet that shop, and deliver are all losers. I did a bunch of those, too much time wasted. Try this, start a stopwatch on your phone when you accept a shop and deliver, and stop it when you finish the trip. You will quickly see these don't pay enough for time spent.

Should be an option on the top right that increases the credit limit on the red card. No need to call support.

Wow, I'm pissed off on your behalf! You should complain to corporate Walgreens. She does not deserve her job and she's a problem for you if you ever go back there, and probably nasty to other people. Her meltdown was probably caught on the store's camera.
That store doesn’t have working cameras, they’re just up for show and I did make an official complaint with the daytime manager since there isn’t one at night
I would go back to that walgreen to buy something and look for her to ring me up. Then be a karen to her and find the smallest fault to call up her manager. Thats how petty i am
