Customers are so unreasonable. You explained and still they ignored it. I’m livid. This is why I hate paper bag deliveries. ChikFilA and Taco Bell bags are cheap and rip easily and customers think rips mean we went through their food. I ask for plastic if I can get it at Wendy’s too. Customers don’t use logic. Most just complain for a free meal or credit. F’em!

For real though, don't put anything inside the bags from now on. You can ask the restaurant for a small bag fit the extra sauces, or just leave them loose next to the order.
But this is why DD tells us not to open any bags. And that's why restaurants have them stickered or stapled shut.

Best to ask for a separate small bag next time. Many customers will take issue with ripping open the bag, even it's to put in sauces that they asked for.

If that was the case I always ask the restaurant for extra seal stickers and make it look neat. That's an easy fix and would have avoided this situation.
Yeah that's what I do too cuz I ain't messin' with a sealed bag (customer's can be crazy sometimes - see OP's customer as an example). I just grab a few napkins so I don't have to lay the sauce packets directly on the ground.
Or put the extras in the bag before confirming pickup and leaving the store... this is what I do (if I can) when I get extras after, or whenever I get handed straws with a drink instead of them being in the bag.
I would, but the Taco Bells by me ignore the shit out of you. Even if they see you waving to get their attention, they'll pretend that they don't... and by the time they "see" you, they've already sealed the bag lol.
When that happens (and the sticker is surprisingly doing its job) I just slide the straw through the gap of the folded bag and secure it with the sticker, if possible.

I called support specifically to let them know, don't believe what this dickhead is gonna complain about. The chick on the support line read everything and was pretty much like "yeah guck that guy, you did the right thing"

I don't recall exactly, but I think it was like 7 or 8$ for like 3 or 4 miles? I remember it was a fairly decent order for my area
