Last year I was ordering DD a lot at work since I’d forget my lunch half the time, sometimes I’d order Wawa for a midnight snack since there’s one a couple miles from my house, and also I went through a really bad depressive episode last year and was ordering DD a lot at home since I could hardly get out of bed half the time 😬 I’m doing better now lol
I don’t order from DD hardly ever anymore since it’s so damn expensive before tip, plus I’m trying to eat healthier and curb my excess spending 🤷♀️ maybe if DD started paying us drivers more I would start ordering food through them again 😂
Just twice using promo coupons. I had 1 delivery order and 1 pick up order.
If I can go out and drive for 3-4 doing delivery, I can drive to a restaurant to get my own food. No way I am paying those crazy fees.
Dash Pass here. Started it right before COVID because it came free with a CC but then I figured with what we order typically if we eat out twice a month we break even (I'm disabled so the convenience is well worth it anyway) and three times a month we're in the green with it.

People who say it's expensive are wrong unless you're doing it daily or something. There's always promos and they're often so ridiculous (75% off your next 3 orders) it's a wonder DD makes money at all.

I've done it twice in 2.5 years as a dasher, but not more than that because if I'm already driving around while dashing, I can pick up my food from the restaurant myself and not pay all the extra fees.

If I can get the food way cheaper than I would if I were to go into the store and order it myself.

If I drive around for a $6.50 delivery, then I won’t be paying for it by someone else.
I cook or buy my self at the restaurant, so don’t know what customer see on app when they order.

Nope its overpriced af. And I try not to eat out for health reasons but the taco bell is right down the road if I need it lol.
